Chapter 4

Red-X sat at his computer screen. He had been playing some online poker and he had won about 10,000 bucks. His lucky day.

"Might as well try my luck with the bird."

He set off. Today would be the day. He could feel it.

The Teen Titans were fighting Plasmus. Goo was flying everywhere and two buildings had been destroyed. Damian was becoming very annoyed at the inability to stop Plasmus without their resident empath. Still, he didn't regret slipping the sleeping drug into Ravens tea. She needed to rest and take a break. He would deal with repercussions later.

"Raven is going to kill you, Robin," Aqualad said dodging the goo arms of their current nemesis.

"She needed to sleep longer than 6 hours," Robin said throwing an ice Batarang at Plasmus. "I have no regrets."

The giant goo man froze but escaped in an explosion of ice shards.

"Ya well," Changeling said dodging a shard. "Raven is the best at taking down Plasmus and now she's not here and we are getting creamed."

Damian scowled as he avoided goo.

Plasmus suddenly charged at him before he could comprehend what was happening. He was about to be crushed under the goo when suddenly the giant man of glop exploded into a giant mess and the man underneath the goo was on the floor sleeping.

Damian looked up to see a very angry half demon looking down at him. Four red eyes glaring daggers at him. Deep into his soul.

She had woken up.

"You should be sleeping," he said seriously.

"Half demon metabolism," she growled. "Drugs don't last as long. You better have a good explanation for this."

"You needed to sleep," he simply said.

If she was going to attack she never got the chance before Blue Beetle intervened.

"Now let's stay calm," he said placing a calming hand on Raven.

She scoffed, slapped his hand away, and left in anger.

Back at the tower Garfield, Jackson, and Jaime were playing video games while Damian was at Raven's door.

She refused to allow him in, even after an hour of continuous knocking and yelling.

"You needed to sleep," he yelled as he knocked. "I was only thinking in your best interest."

Suddenly her door slammed open and he was pushed back by Raven's dark power.

"Where you now!" She yelled.

Damian looked down at her tiny form. She was so small compared to him and yet he still felt slightly intimidated.

"That's a lie and you know it," she continued. "You need to stop this now. I thought you said you trusted me to take care of myself. You obviously don't."

"Raven." He said.

"No," she said sternly." No more. You be betrayed my trust. You medicated me without my consent. Don't you see how awful that it?"

Damian said nothing. He still believed he did what was best for them all.

"You don't and you never will, will you?" Raven sighed. "I've had enough. Stay away from me Damian, don't come to my room, don't come to my rescue. Just leave me alone."

She pushed past him and went to the meeting room.

Damian stood at her door in shock. He could feel how angry she was, he could feel she was serious.

"Raven wait," he yelled before the alarms started blaring.

"Its X," Gar said as the team assembled. " We are all gonna head the coordinates. Yes all of us Damian. Take extra precaution, we need to apprehend him now."

The team nodded.

"Titans go."

They arrived at the beach building X was said to have been seen. All titans had been extra cautious.

"Show yourself X," Robin yelled into the room.

Suddenly a red gas began seeping in from the ceiling. Raven immediately covered herself in a bubble. When she felt the gas had enough time to subside she looked to see the status of her team. Robin and Aqualad were unconscious and Beetle was tied up by a red x, trying to escape.

"Looks like it's just you and me," Red-X electronic voice said, directly behind her.

He kicked her and she fell to the floor but quickly summoned some boxes and tossed them at him. He dodged them and disappeared.

She tried to sense his presence but before she could she was kicked once more.

She landed with a thud but before he could get near her, she focused on trying to open a portal so she could send him away for the time being. From her peripheral vision, she could see Robin begin to awaken. She continued to chant the spell not caring.

He grabbed her by her cloak and was about to disappear with her when Robin threw an electrifying Batarang at them. Raven finished the mantra just as the burst of electricity and the feeling of transporting through space surged through her.

It all went black.

Damian watched in horror as he saw his Batarang, Xs tech, and Raven magic all collided. He saw swirls of black and red and electricity flow through Raven and then she disappeared.

"No," he yelled as he tried to reach her. However, it was too late, she was gone.

"What happened!" Beastboy yelled.

"I don't know," Robin said. "We need to track them."

Beetle did immediately but the confused look on his face worried Damian.

"This doesn't make sense," Beetle said.

"What!?" Robin yelled. "What doesn't make sense, he couldn't have gotten her tracker off that fast?"

Beetle looked at Robin.

"It says that she still in here," the blue man said. "Right at the very spot. Robin, I think she was getting ready to use a spell."

"When X was going transport them away and I hit them with my electric Batarang," Robin continued. "Her magic must have mixed with his and my tech."

"They could be anywhere."

"Raven isn't defenseless," Changeling said. "She'll be back before you know it."

Robin wasn't convinced.

Raven landed with a thud and Red-x landed on her which made her lose her breath. She tried to push the heavy man off with her powers but they had not worked and the man was completely unresponsive. She put all her strength and pushed the man off.

Still no response, not even a grunt.

"X," she said kneeling towards the man in the suit. She tried to feel for a pulse but the outfit was impeding her.

The electric shock could have stopped his heart, Damian might have killed him. Not wanting that to be a possibility she quickly removed his mask. For Damians sake, she hoped he was alive.

She immediately started CPR, 30 compressions, and 2 big breaths. She was NOT going to let Damian be a killer even if it meant putting her lips on X.

She worked for about two minutes when suddenly she was pushed back and a foreign tongue was suddenly exploring her mouth. Before she could comprehend that Red-X had been revived and was kissing her, she fell back with another thud as Red-X continued his assault on her mouth. She was too shocked to do anything and he continued to kiss her.

Focus came back to her when Red-X placed himself between her legs. She punched him in the face.

"Oh come on sunshine," he said, licking his lips and smirking. "I was having a good time!?
