The group was in a huge, and empty building. Sonic was sitting on the cold floor, Eggman had his arms crossed while looking away, Orbot was next to him with Cubot's head in his hands, and Tails were working on an invention.
"Man it felt like we've walked three years to get here," Sonic commented while tilting his head slightly to scratch his neck.
"But it took us five minutes," Orbot said with his head tilted slightly. His creator had a scowl on his face as he still looks away.
"Don't pay attention to that slow pin cushion," Eggman said like a parent. The hero stopping scratching and rolled his eyes at the human.
"Does it kill you to lighten up?" He murmured. Tails silently hum with his two-tails waving as he's working.
"And...done! I've upgraded the Miles Electric to sense Chaos energy all around the planet." He said cheerful, as he turns it on. Everyone gathers around to see seven glowing dots all over the Lost Hex.
"Since we've got the yellow emerald, we need six more to go!" The Kitsune explained.
"And the green emerald is the power source to the vacuum machine." The red robot added. A light blue dot was blinking close by.
"Hmm. It looks like there's an emerald around here. I'll get it in a sonic second!" Sonic commented as he started running out of the building.
"Wait! What am I supposed to do with Eggman here?" Tails asked with his voice echoing. His blue friend stopped at the doorway and turned.
"Just entertain him till I get back!" He said before running out in the cold air. The human and Fox stood there in silence.
"So, what are kids into nowadays?" Eggman asked.
"Um, I don't know." Tails said with an awkward shrug.
"Ah." The egg-shaped human said. Orbot and Cubot saw this.
"How about we follow Sonic?" The red robot asked.
"Agree." Both Tails and Eggman said in unison.
"Man, I thought reading Eggman's Sonamy fan fiction was uncomfortable," Cubot commented.
"Don't make me kick you off this Hex!" His creator shouted with his fist out while Tails looks utterly confused.
~Meanwhile, The Deadly Six Hideout~
Master Zik was sitting on top of his standing stick, closing his eyes to meditate and to restore his strength back from the battle with Sonic. But it proves to be difficult when loud foreign music was blasting through the thin metal walls. The old man's face twitch in annoyance, before opening his wrinkly eyes half-way.
"Zavok, can you tell Zeena to turn it down?" He asked the red one, who's working on the machine and sharing the annoyed look as his master. Zazz's face and body twitches in anger as the music assaults his non-existing ears.
"If I have to hear another intro to her show, I'll make myself deaf!" He screeched with his hands on the side of his face. Zavok pinched the bridge of his non-existing nose to get rid of the forming headache.
"I'll try to talk to her. But it'll be like last hundred times." He murmured as he starts to walk away from the machine.
"Let's hope she doesn't throw something at you this time." The old mentor said with a chuckle. The leader stops to let out a sigh with a weak smile.
"Luckily my skull is tough enough to take that vase." He said as the memory hits his head like a brick, literally. His mentor lets out a chuckle at that.
"Teenagers can be teenagers. You, Zazz, and Zormon were like her and Zor around that age." he strokes his mustache to remember more. "Though you three were more violent than them from what I remember." Master Zik said with his eyes closed to have memories going through his head. Zavok looks back to see Zazz banging his head on the metal wall to mute the loud music. Zormon goes to the purple one and pulls out something in his brown paper bag in his arms. What he took out was a small simple sandwich and tries to hand it to the distressed one. Zazz stopped his banging to stare at the food with confusion. His eyes moved up to see the fat one smiling warmly at him. The crazy one decides to take the sandwich and eating it whole. Zormon gives him the bag of sandwiches he made and watch Zazz gulping down everything inside. Zavok smiles at the scene along with Zik.
"What?!" The two flinched when a female voice shouted throughout the base.
"I...should tell her that she'll be fighting that blue rat. She needed to get out of the base anyways." Zavok said. When the old man nodded and resumes his meditating, Zavok went to another room inside the base. He stops when he was in front of a metal door. After knocking the door with his fist, the red Zeti slowly opens the door to peer inside.
"Hey, can you turn the volume down?" Zavok asked with half-closed annoyed eyes. Inside the room, there was a big bed with two Zeti sitting on it. There's a purple one who was leaning against the metal wall drawing something on a notebook with a blue rose that's a pen. His skin was ghostly white, his waist down is pitch black, purple lips with dark gray freckles above them, and his rat-like tail was curled around him. The only attire is black finger-less gloves. His long purple bangs cover half of his face as he draws. Sitting next to him was another Zeti watching the T.V. on the metal wall. She has green skin with black stripes around her waist while her lower body was pitch black. She has long green hair with a horn in the middle. Her jaw dropped at what happened on T.V.
"Are you serious?!" The girl shouted at the T.V with her arms out. The red leader sighs and rolls his eyes when he failed to get the two Zeti attention.
"Let me guess, your ship didn't happen." Zavok guessed with his annoyed look still present on his face. The female Zeti whipped her head to look at her leader with a scowl.
"Worse. Apparently, they were brother and sister all along! It's gross!" She shouted with her hands gripping on her long bangs in anger as she growls. The red leader looks at the purple Zeti who continues to draw before looking at the frustrated female.
"Maybe fighting Sonic will get it off your mind?" Zavok asked. The green one looks at him with half-closed eyes.
"Are you kidding me? I'm on a marathon right now." She said while pointing to the T.V. The leader pinched the bridge of his non-existing nose to get rid of the headache he's having.
"Zeena, you've watched these episodes before." Zavok said in annoyance. The female Zeti, Zeena still had the scowl on her face.
"I don't care. I just don't want to miss the new episode." She said with her arms crossed. The red one was silent for a few seconds to think of a plan.
"How about you'll kill Sonic quickly, so you won't miss the new episode?" Zavok suggested. Zeena thought about it for a bit before she huffed and get off of the bed with her arms crossed.
"Fine! But don't yell at me if I don't kill him on time." The leader moved for her to rush out the base to defeat her enemy as fast as she could. The red Zeti shook his head with his hand on his face.
"Was I that annoying at that age?" He asked himself. From the corner of his eye, the small purple Zeti looked stumped on his drawing as he taps his rose pen on the notebook. He turned his head to face his annoyed leader.
"So, are those spiky things your mouth, or your mouth are behind the spikes?" The purple one asked and showed his incomplete drawing of an angry Zavok. The said Zeti looked at the artist with half-closed eyes.
~Somewhere in the snowy area of the Lost Hex~
Sonic ran through the snowy area with his green eyes looking around for the emerald.
"Got to admit, it's a bit odd that Eggman is part of our team. But it'll change when we defeat the Deadly Six." He thought. The blue one saw a giant snowman ahead of him and sees something green and black. He stopped to see his new opponent. The green female Zeti was sitting on top of the snowman making a snowball in her hands.
"Alright, let's hurry this fight as much as we can. I have a new episode ready to be watched in a few minutes. Or better yet, let me kill you on the spot." She suggested.
"Oh, I'm sorry," Sonic said with his arms behind his back. The Zeti smiles as she finished making the snowball.
"That's civil of you." She said.
"I'm sorry that you care about first world problems." The hero finished with a straight face. The green girl growled with fire around her from anger.
"You-" The snowman melted from the fire, making her fall in a pile of snow. Sonic raised a brow with his arms crossed. The Zeti popped out from the pile then throw her snowball towards him.
"Jerk!" She finished. Sonic slightly moved his head to the right to dodge the snowball without effort.
"When you're done with your temper tantrum, can you ask me where the Chaos Emerald is around here?" The hedgehog asked calmly. The Zeti gritted her teeth as she moves her long green bangs off of her face.
"If you want the emerald, you have to beat me!" Sonic flashed a smirk as he rolls his shoulders to get ready.
"Finally a battle! For some reason, everything turns to black, and the enemy is already defeated." The hedgehog pointed out before he stood in a fighting stance with the smirk. The green girl grins as a snowman forms behind her. She jumps on top of the head then slides inside it. A second later, an army of snowmen jumped out from the snow and circled Sonic. He saw sparks coming out of the snow people.
"I get it. She put robotic parts in those snowmen to control them. All I have to do is to knock them down until the Zeti gets down." The hero thought. A Snow-bot with a carrot nose charges to the blue hedgehog with its arms out. But the speedster was prepared for that. He jumped on the Snow-Bot's arm and run to the head. Sonic kicked the head to make it hit the other snowmen robots. It hit three of them, but none of them showed the Zeti.
"Oh boy, I love these kinds of bosses!" The blue hero said with a grin as the snow melts under him. The green girl's head poked out from a Snow-bot with a giant pipe. She growled at him.
"You're getting on my nerves!" She shouted. The hedgehog took the chance as he jumps and spin dash her in the face. The Zeti flew a few feet away as she rolls in the snow. The girl stood up to see her long bangs shredded to her forehead. She snarled at the new look as more snowmen appear from the snowy ground. Sonic rubbed his gloved hands to warm up a bit before getting into position. He rushes to the tallest Snow-bot with snow blowing behind him. The hedgehog was too focused on the Zeti that he didn't see a Snow-Bot's fist was coming down at him. He grunted when he slammed to the freezing ground. The hedgehog let out a shiver as the freezing powder around him, making his quills stand up.
"Crap! I can't be a hedge-a-cube!" He starts to spin in a ball before performing a spin dash out of the Snow-Bot's cold grip. The green Zeti jumped in fear when the spinning ball of spikes was coming towards her. She raises an arm over her face which the Snow-Bot she's on does the same motion. The spinning ball bounced on the snowy ground to gain more air to the bot's large arm. The hero uncurled himself to kick the cold limb to hit itself in the face. The Snow-Bot fell back upon impact, so the green female it was on lands in the snow and leave a Zeti-Shaped hole. Sonic lands on the snow and starts running towards her to finish the fight.
"Hold it!" Zeena came out of her hole with her hand out. The blue one freaked out as he slams his feet on the ground to stop himself. He skidded in a halt with snow flying all over the place, before stopping right in front of the hand. Her blue eyes were looking at a phone and stares at it for a few seconds before clicking her tongue in annoyance.
"You're lucky that I don't have time to kill you," She puts the phone away and glares at the hedgehog. "The new episode of my show will be on in a few minutes. But don't think I won't come back for you!" With that, Zeena starts running away from her enemy. Sonic had a confused face as he tries to get what just happened under a few seconds.
"Ya know," He shouts with his gloved hands around his mouth to be louder. "You can record the episode." He informed. The green Zeti turned her head to glare at him.
"I can't! The second the new episode is over, people post clips of it spoiling it for me!" She shouted before she was out of sight. The hero had half-closed annoyed eyes while standing there in the foot tall snow.
"Weirdo." He thought. When a blue light hit the corner of his right eye, he flinched and curse as he rubs his eye with his arm. The hedgehog turned to the annoying light to see a light blue emerald sticking out from a fallen Snow-Bot, catching the sun's rays. Sonic walked to the emerald, grabbing it from the destroyed enemy. He brushed the snow around the freezing cold Chaos Emerald and smirks.
"At least this wasn't a complete waste of time." He commented. After he places the emerald in his quills, he starts running from the battle zone.
When the hero sees his two-tailed friend and egg-shaped enemy ahead, he skids into a halt and the snow went everywhere.
"That was cool. No pun intended." The hedgehog with a smirk and whispered the last part. Tails rolled his eyes playfully while Eggman wanted to punch him for the terrible joke.
"So, did you find the Chaos Emerald?" The Kitsune asked with his tails waving behind him. Sonic nods then reach inside his quills to pull out the shiny light blue emerald.
"I hope getting the emeralds won't be too much of a hassle like this one was." He said with one arm over his head as he juggles the powerful gem with one gloved hand.
"Then that means there's five more to go!" Cubot head cheerfully shouted, his creator glares at him because he was right next to his ear when he said that. Eggman rested his cheek in his palm with his face filled with annoyance while sitting on a large ice cube.
"I'm going to have a tropical vacation after this." He hissed with a curled lip. Everyone flinched when a bunch of giant ice cubes fell from the sky and lands a car length away from them. A motor bug rolled to the perfectly stacked cubed before turned on their light eyes onto them like a projector. What was shown was both Zavok and Zazz looking at them. In the background was Eggman's old base, but it looked like they're making it into their home.
"I'm impressed you've made this far, hedgehog." The red leader hissed and glares at the hero. "You have easy opponents," His eye twitched when foreign music was blasting through the base. "But we'll be stronger with the help of your planet's energy." He said with his hand turning into a fist at the camera.
"Ya, Mobius has been turning into White Space recently," Sonic commented with a hand resting on his hip.
"Too bad that your world will turn into Lost Hex. Where would you live after it dies?" Zazz asked sympathetic frowns but a second later a crazed grin appeared. "Oh right! You'll die too!" The purple Zeti howled in laughter, Sonic having an annoyed look while Tails covered his ears from the volume of the cackle. Eggman got up from his cold seat, having enough of the Zeti's shenanigans.
"I will burn down this world so the last thing you'll see are the fires burning everything you've loved die!" The egg-shaped villain hissed as he walks to the ice cube call. His blue enemy had a confused look on what he said. Sure, he had said things darker than that in the past. But they were always for him, so he's used to it by now. He sees Zazz flinch in shock at the threat.
"I will hunt down all Zeti that's still alive!" The human shouted when he was right next to the cubes and Zavok had a calm face while the purple one cowers behind his leader in fear.
"Every-" Everyone in the snowy area flinched when the villain started to punch the cubes.
"Last-" The ice starts to crack under his fists.
"ONE!" The whole cubed tower fell down and crash onto the snow. The motor bug jumped and rolled away from his former master out of fear. But even after the call from the Deadly Two ended, that didn't stop Eggman from continuing punching the daylights out of the ice cubes. Sonic's quills rose with his ears back at the scene. Tails' back ends fluffed up and is blue eyes were filled with fear. Orbot was holding onto Cubot's head as they shake.
"Hey, you should stop before you get a heart attack." The hero went to the doctor. But when he touched his arm, the human turned to punch the hedgehog on the right side of the head by accident.
"Sonic!" His yellow buddy rushed to the now down hero who was holding on his head. Sonic hissed as he pulls his gloved hand away from the now bruised head with his right eye half-closed. He looked confused when he saw spots of red were all over his glove.
"B-Boss, your hands!" Orbot pointed out. The hero looked up at the doctor as Tails goes to collect the crushed ice cubes. Eggman looked at his hands to see blood staining his gloves where his knuckles are.
"As long as I can still strangle a Zeti, my hands are fine." With that, the human walks away from the scene with his minions following behind. The Kitsune crotches down to his blue friend on the snowy ground.
"Are you okay?" He asked as the fox gently places a makeshift ice pack with a rag holding the crushed ice inside. Sonic grabs it from his friend and holds it over the bruise.
"Of course I'm okay. That punch was nothing, it was actually weak!" He commented with his signature smirk. Tails let out a frosty sigh in relief, but his eyes moved from the hedgehog to Eggman who was still walking away with his bloody fists clenching. The blue eyes that belong to the fox slowly turned sharp as his tails' fur raises in anger.
Finally...Finally I've posted the new chapter to this story! The reason I didn't work on it for three years is because I wanted to take a break so my writing will be better. I hope you like it.
Now this rewriting will be different. Since I hate to watch the cut scenes every five minutes and copy and paste with tiny differences added.
I have good ideas for Zazz's, Zormon's, and Master Zik's fights. So in the future I'll make a separate story for those battles.
Now I finally have the chance to talk about Tails in the game. Oh, my Chaos, I hated him in Lost World. I think there were new writers for the game and I'm sorry to say this but Tails was written horribly. To me, he acts like a little kid rather than a kid genius that fought along with the hero for years. When he got captured by the Deadly Six, I didn't care one bit if he turned into a robot. So I'm hoping that Tails in this rewriting is better. And after Lost World, I've been meh about him. Boom doesn't count since it's a different universe. And when I'm done with An Infinite War and write my version of Forces, I'll talk about my thoughts about Tails in that game.
Also, I got a deleted joke from this chapter. I got rid of the joke is because I don't know if people would find it funny. In Secret Rings every time the villain calls Sonic a blue rat, Sonic would yell at him that he's a hedgehog.
Scene: "I...should tell her that she'll be fighting that blue rat. She needed to get out of the base anyways." Zavok flinched when he heard a very faint voice.
"Hedgehog!"
"What was that?" The red leader asked his mentor with a raised brow. When the old man shrugs and resumes his meditating, Zavok went to another room inside the base.
