The Denial
"Rorrven...Why isn't she re-responding" Aria blankly staring at Mayura's body.
"As you can see those little entities that are entering her body. That is her life force. In the assignment where I had to rescue her first. Since I am a guardian of Arayu I cannot have any contact with a human flesh. If I do my powers will drain the life force as it expels from the body. This is why Mayura is in the state of unconsciousness." explained Rorrven.
"But you can change her right?"
"I can but the process will take some time though I can tell you Mayura will come back to you."
"How long will the process before it is complete."
"For that it will take a couple of hours in the current state my 'lady."
Hearing the solution Aria's stomach began to growl.
"In the meantime come to the dining hall my 'lady, I have prepared you a meal." said Rorrven.
Rorrven then proceeded to walk to the dining hall, Aria following behind him grabbing her stomach.
The Dining hall was massive, surrounding the grand table were ten pillars on each side of the room. The table was covered with black granite though it was mostly covered by moss. Each side elongated side was able to hold 10 chairs as Aria counted. Then at both ends of the table were thrones.
"Here my 'lady you can have this seat over there" said Rorrven.
Aria then walked to a chair in the middle of the table.
"No not there. Here." corrected Rorrven as he pointed to the throne. Aria looked back at Rorrven and then to the throne."
"Wait you mean there?" question Aria.
"Yes, precisely." responded Rorrven.
"It's because this was Arayu's throne…"
"Correct."
Coming back to the end of the table. She could see the size of the throne. The throne was made out of white marble. Seeming to be untouched, looking at the armrest she could she the grips that were made for Arayu. The throne was a staggering 10 feet tall. The backrest had a carving of Arayu. Rorrven then pulled back the chair from the table.
"Here My 'lady sit." pointed Rorrven.
Aria walked to the throne she then proceeded to sit down. The first thing that she noticed small her body was to the size of throne. Her feet could barely touch the floor. her back was 2 feet away from the body of the throne. She placed her arms onto the armrest. Again her small stature was dwarfed by the width of the armrest.
Aria quickly put her hands straight down into her skirt. Head looking down also. She began to cry.
"There There let me bring you dinner so I may cheer you up. Rorrven then walked back to the hall and entered a door. Aria clenched her fist and began to tear even more.
"Why me" she asked
"I just want to become a normal kid, a kid who graduated high school, go to college and provide for Mom and Dad. I didn't want to be a part of this. I just want to go back home.
Aria then heard footsteps, she unclenched her hands she then cleared the tears from her eyes.
"Sorry to make you wait my 'lady" said Rorrven.
"Personally I don't cook since really I never eat Hahaha.
Aria looked backed and agave a little "heh".
"Here Arayu loved this entree so I figured you might as well."
I don't how you humans came up with the word "Sashimi", but here you go my 'lady please enjoy."
Rorrven placed the dish in front of Aria. Taking the cover off Aria eyes widen. It was indeed her favorite. It was indeed salmon sashimi along with other types. Octopus, eel and also many more were present. She couldn't help herself but the tears were pouring down.
"Is anything wrong my 'lady?" Rorrven politely asked.
"It's nothing really. I do appreciate everything for your doing Rorrven. For saving me and Mayura I really do want to thank you. But this is so much to take in! I mean, I'm supposed to believe that a Goddess is my ancestor? You mean that that a world was created by someone who can manipulate water? I'm sorry but all this fiction doesn't make any sense to me.
"My Lady" said Rorrven
"And stop calling me that name!" Aria stood up to Rorrven.
"I just wanted to become a normal kid, graduate high school at the top of my class, becoming something to my mom and dad. Please just let me and Mayura go. That is all that I am asking." Aria crying furiously. Her cheeked dampened by tears Aria then pushed the dish away from her and then quickly moved out of the throne and dashed out of the dining hall.
Looking at the destroyed plate Rorrven then looked at the throne. "Arayu...I pray to you to speak to Aria, I thought this would be more convincing but I need your guidance. I must remember she isn't a goddess like you." Rorrven then gathered up the entree and headed back to the kitchen.
Aria was checking each door to find Mayura.
"Here… No"
"Come on…. Dammit"
"Please let it be this door...I just want to get out…" Aria cried.
There was one last door at the end of the hallway. Aria dashed to doorknob and gave a heavy push against the door.
The door opened with very force, swinging wide opens hike knocking aria to the ground.
Regaining her balance, she looked up to see if the room was correct.
"Finally" exhausted Aria.
Aria slowly made her way to the risen pool where Mayura laid. There were no longer any lights that were enter her body, just her drifting with the water. Aria stepped in the water to see wake her up. Surprisingly enough she was not dampened when the water met with her skin. She gradually came closer to Mayura. Wrapping her in her arms, she then held Mayura's chest to hers.
"Oh… Mayura"
"Please wake up"
Aria then held Mayura even tighter, hoping the warmth of her body would transfer to Mayura.
Aria felt a grip on the right arm, she loosened her grip on Mayura. Looking into the innocent face it only spoke on word.
"Aria" mutter Mayura.
"OH MAYURA" cried Aria. She gave Mayura a welcoming hug holding her tightly.
"Aria...I can't breathe."
Oh I'm sorry! I'm just so happy that you're awake." said Aria while the tears were running down her face.
"W-Where are we?"
"I'll tell you later, we have to get out of here.
Aria then tried to help her get up on her feet.
"A-Aria, my legs still feel week" groaned Mayura.
"I hate to do this but can you carry me?"
"Sure, there's no way that I'm leaving you."
Mayura grinned in which also lead to Aria grin also.
Aria got down to her knees to help be the same level as Mayura.
"Ok give me your hand"
All of a sudden a golden wave suddenly appeared from the entrance door. Starting from the front of the room.
"What the hell" said Aria?
The wave had reach a quarter of the room
"Aria?" whispered Mayura.
Aria quickly learned to Mayura quickly grabbing her.
The wave had reached the fountain. Slowly the wave had reached the water, giving it a faint gold color. The wave Aria's feet she felt a warm sensation but that didn't stop her from clutching her best friend. now the wave was slowly catching up with the rest of her body. Mayura also felt the warm sensation as it passed, touching now was her chest. Aria then felt a silence in the room. Aria then opened her eyes. her vision had a yellow golden tint. Looking upon Mayura, Aria was greet by Mayura's piercing cyan eyes, with her facing being still.
"Mayura..."
Mayura's face felt cold to the touch.
"Hey can you hear me?"
Mayura was still silent
"No...No...nooo not again."
Then a knock on the door was heard from the front of the room.
"LEAVE US ALONE!" she screamed.
Aria then turned her head to the door and she could see a crack in the door.
"I said leave us alone!"
The door quickly shut. A few moments later a white mist began to emit from the door. Aria lifted Mayura to the other side of the pool. The white mist had reached halfway between the door and the pool. Aria then heard her name
"Aria"
The voice had a light tone, very melodic.
"Who said that!" questioned Aria.
"I did"
Aria looked up to the mist. The mist manifested into seems like a female figure. Once the figure had manifested it bearded a striking resemblance to Aria. The figure had a lush white hair that went down to her knees. In the front there were two braids that met to her chest. Her eyes had the same heterochromia pattern as Aria. Her left eye had a blue Iris while the right eye had a green iris. The figure had a white robe that went down to her feet. Her head held a wreath parting her hair. Next the figure had a glowing aura behind her.
"Hello there Aria." said the figure with her head tilted with a smile.
"Arayu?"
"That is correct darling" said the Goddess.
