A vein under Neji's eye starts twitching when he leans back against his seat, desperately gripping the armrests in an attempt to not murder someone.

Tenten has somehow conned him into letting her bring popcorn into the movie and she has not. Stopped. Eating. The noise grates on Neji's ears and he grits his teeth. Lee's sniffling (Neji can hear it from two seats away; they'd banished Lee to another row when he couldn't control his emotions) has become a waterfall slowly gushing down his face, so that a disgusting mix of snot and tears is collecting on his shirt. His half-hearted attempts with a tissue barely do anything.

When the idiot lets out another sob that echoes, Neji finds himself thanking whatever god is out there that the movie theater is empty except for his team, or else they surely would have been kicked out by now and then his teammates would be even more annoying.

The movie isn't even that sad. Just this random horse doing random things, frolicking through wars and getting dirtier as each scene flickers by. Neji almost laughs when two boys get shot down. How can they call themselves soldiers? Dodging those bullets would have been so easy...

He's gotten so used to the constant crunching that is Tenten diving into her popcorn bucket that he blinks and looks around when it stops.

Tenten is staring forlornly at the huge, empty bucket that rests in her lap, and then she stands up without a word and heads out.

Thank god. Maybe she's just going to throw it away and he can watch this movie in peace (he's actually looking forward to the ending now).

That hope, however, disappears when a distant clanging sound erupts outside and then Tenten reappears with an entire popcorn machine.

Lee's sobbing hasn't let up at all and now the crunching has continued at a higher speed and ferocity and Neji bangs his head back against his chair and tries not to lose his sanity.
