Chapter 4

Disclaimer:I do not own Fire Emblem, or any other subtle references I make.

"Entry one,

Day one. Hour zero. Minute thirty-seven. So far this 'school' seems normal. Mom dropped me off here, and left me for dead. She just 'here ya go stranger, heres mah boy for you's! I'll be leav'in right 'bout now, but I trust you stranger to take good care of my here only son!'

Okay, her voice is much nicer than that, but still! Did she seriously just have to drag me here so early in the morning?!

"Entry two,

'Day one. Hour two. Minute four. These halls look too crowded and dangerous for me to go in alone. I see at LEAST thirty kids, just in line sight! *groan* I tell you, this place will be the death of me. Why did mom have to leave me here? Why, why why?!"

*click*

"Entry three,

'Day one. Hour two. Minute seven. I've just spotted an albino child, about my size, and alone. If I can walk next to him while on my way to…uh… on my way to…where? One moment-"

*click*

"Entry three-point-one,

Minute nine. I can walk next to him on my way to the cafeteria (since everyone else is headed there). Stronger in pairs, right Future Robin?"

*click*

"Entry four,

Day one. Hour three. Minute twenty-two. Be super suspicious of Henry! Mom always said 'Don't trust people who are suspiciously nice!' plus his eyes are always closed! What's up with that? I need to figure out if he's plotting something. He seems like a plotter type…

Okay. First thing's first, I need to find out what Henry's weakness is. He has to have a childhood stuffed animal somewhere! I always keep P.S in my cloak, so it's only fair to assume that Henry has his in his shirt! That's really the only place for him to possibly put it!

I'll hold his stuffy hostage to show him that I'm the one in charge, then he'll have to see me as someone you don't mess with.

"Entry four,

Day one. (I'm not going to do hours, anymore. It's confusing having to keep track of time when I don't own a watch and there aren't even that many clocks in this school.)Apparently getting Henry to just take off his shirt isn't going to be easy. I've already asked him twice-"

"-Isn't that shooting a little low? You've asked me six times!" Henry shouted in the background.

"Don't eavesdrop, Henry!" Robin gasped in mortification. "That's an invasion of personal privacy!"

"Ahaha, what eavesdropping? You're in the toilet stall next to me. We walked in here together, crazy."

Robin grumbled. "Uh, 'till next time, Future Robin."

"Future Robin?"

"This is my log for my future self, in case I ever need it."

"What would you need that for?"

"You know, if I ever get famous and people- wait. I don't think we're close enough for me to be telling you this."

"Aw, but we're talking while we're-"

"-YOU'RE ACTUALLY-"

"I'm scarred for life. Never again will I ever use a public restroom. It was just…ugh.

Oh. Day one, still. Entry five. After asking Henry for the twel- I mean third time, he finally agreed. Only thing is is that he, how he says, shot a little too high.

When he walked out of the stall, he had no clothes.

Nude.

My virgin eyes are forever tainted.

Why did Mom leave me here? *sob*

"Entry six,

Day one. Henry apologized, said he doesn't fully understand human friendship. Not sure what that means, but I'm guessing he means that he has alien friends. Being friends with aliens would be…breathtaking. I can't even imagine…

So I'm his first human friend, huh? Interesting, he's my first…close acquaintance… I think the only people I've talked to before were in my family. Which reminds me…

MOM! COME BACK AND GET ME ALREADY! I WANT TO GO HOME!

Future Robin, I know this sounds a bit pathetic, but you have to understand. She threw us in this strange institute, school, orphanage place without warning, and she's never really done anything like that before. So don't judge me! Yourself! I AM YOU!

So how's it feel to be famous? Have you gotten in to any historical books yet? We should be in a few of these text books in the next copy. Maybe the one after that if we push it a little.

Have a great life, Future Robin!"

"Entry seven,

Day one. Class right before lunch. Chemistry.

We're working with chemicals today. Good thing Henry didn't have a partner. We're able to work on this thing together.

I've never worked with chemicals before. The teacher said we have to mix these things just right to figure out which mixtures would heal us and which one would kill you. Henry seems pretty cheery about this."

"Of course I am! The difference between saving and killing is so minor and so different! How is it not interesting?!"

"Henry, keep your voice down!" The teacher scolded.

"Yes, sir." Henry replied a little less cheerful.

There was silence for a lengthy time, aside from the background murmuring from the other student's.

"Okay, he's looking away. Give me back my recording tome." Robin hushed yelled.

"I still think you're just talking to a book. How can this tome record you're voice?"

"I bought it from an Anna merchant who works wonders. Now give it!"*

"You got it." There was static and you could hear as it shifted around on the counter.

"Okay, my cloak is over it, so it can't be seen."

"Why are you recording class?"

"So I can catch you plotting to yourself." Robin mumbled.

"What was that?"

"Uh, so I can remember this class forever."

"I see." You could just hear the disbelief from that one sound.

The two moved on and continued discussing their project, and debating which liquids to use, and which ones not to use. Henry suggested to just watch the smart kid's two desks in front of them and copy them, but Robin found that as cheating and disagreed.

Robin sighed, "-it's just not-*umph*-HEY!"

"Watch it, loser." A teenaged male voice commented with a snide attitude. Robin gave a little 'ouch' as it felt like something whapped his head. Probably the guy who bumped in to him.

"Ugh." Robin whined. "That hurt, and now I have coconut milk all over my shirt now."

"It's not so bad, no need to go all coco-nut's about it." Henry said, attempting to lift the mood. "Maybe you should take off your shirt."

"What? No way!"

"So it's okay for you to ask me to be shirtless, but when I ask you… no-go?"

"No-go." Robin confirmed. "I had a very good reason to ask you, you just… I don't even know why you want me to go shirtless."

"I want you to go shirtless because you're wet, and the milk will become spoiled, so you'll stink."

Robin grunted, "Well at least I brought an extra shirt with me."

"You carry around an extra shirt?"

"Actually a whole set- I mean, yeah. I foresaw something like this happening. Always come prepared, right? Just an extra shirt. No more."

"Right." Henry deadpanned.

"Mhm. I'm going to change under the table, keep a look out and make sure no one's watching." Robin grunted.

"You got it." Henry agreed. "Kizza mista dizzy mistri twongo!" He chanted in a nearly inaudible hiss.

"I got it. You can look now, Henry."

"Yes sir."

"Okay, I think that this can be-"

"AAAARRRGH!"

The whole was quick to go silent, then milliseconds later the whole class was moving around, rumbling feet echoing off the walls.

There was still one voice screaming at the top of their lungs. If the room wasn't worried for the condition of the student, they would wonder how the kid didn't run out of breath.

"What happened? Did he spill chemicals on his face?!" The teacher asked urgently.

"No! I don't know what happened! He was just fine a second ago!"

"I'm bringing this boy to the hexing teacher, she should know how to fix this. Everyone continue with their studies!" He announced before loud footsteps were heard dashing out. You could almost hear a tiny huff of air that sounded like someone holding back a laugh.

The classroom went back to discussion, awkwardness filling the room along with silence. Slowly, the room went back to the way it was before, and the students talked amongst themselves about how to make elixirs and certain potions. Some were already theorizing that the boy who was sent to the medical lab inhaled some sort of mixture wrong.

Robin began whispering to Henry, "Wasn't that the guy who bumped in to me?"

"Yeah. Looks like karma has a good way of burning people."

"I don't think karma would literally burn a person."

"I wasn't talking in a literal sense."

"How do you burn someone metaphorically?"

"Never mind me. We should get on with our project."

"Okay. And I think I should turn this off…"

"Entry eight,

Day one. After lunch. The kid who was injured during class didn't make it. Apparently it was a hex that could have been on him for any amount on time. The hex teacher couldn't figure it out, but she theorized that there might be an assassin or something in the school. An assassin who has an affinity for hexing. Scary. What if I'm the next target?!

Mom, you just might regret putting me here.

Lunch was ok. The food was really plain, a little stale even, but it was edible. Henry has an odd taste for the water here. It taste too metallic for me, but I still need to stay hydrated so I just have to ignore it. I wonder if we ever get to have other beverages.

"Entry nine,

So…much… WORK!

Why is there so much physical labor here? We had to run ten laps at gym class, then an impossible number of sit ups and jumping jacks, then push ups are a whole other story. I swear that teacher has it out for me, every time I got tired, he would tell me 'Twenty More MAGGOT!'

I just…

This school WILL be the death of me."

"Day one!" Henry chimed in from the background.

"Day one." Robin agreed tiredly. "Break before last class of the day. Next up is math, so hopefully that'll go over in an okay manner."

*click*

"Day one, entry ten,

Class is over, and everyone's acting like that kid didn't even exist. Yeah, he was a little rude, but to just ignore the fact that he's dead? What's up with that? Maybe no one liked him, and that's why they don't mourn for him. I guess that would make sense.

Me and Henry have-"

"-Henry and I, you mean." Henry corrected.

"Mean I Henry you." Robin huffed back, realizing how childish that sounds, but really not caring.

"Henry and I," Robin paused, probably giving him a mock smile or something during that pause, "are going to walk around the school and map out the place a bit more. Henry says he hasn't toured the place yet and probably knows about as much as I do when it comes to the design of this place."

"I really do love this design. It's dark and spooky, and a lot of spider webs!"

"Not that many."

"No, really! There's one in almost every corner of the ceiling!"

Pause. "Huh, I never noticed that before."

"Maybe because your hood is always up."

"Well your eyes are always closed."

"No, I specifically remember opening them at lunch time when I tried to drink your water and you splashed it on me."

"A) I didn't splash water on you, my hand slipped while you were trying to pull it out of my grasp. And B) they're cobwebs, not spider webs.

"Tomato Tomatoe ~" Henry replied in a sing song. "Hakuna Matata~"

"Weirdo." Robin sighed as he clicked off.

"Entry eleven, day one!

Ah jeez, I completely forgot to do any entries since after school! Well, I guess nothing too much happened, but something did!

Me and Henry, sorry, Henry and I were snooping in the restricted areas and found a bunch of tunnels! Yeah! We explored them a little until Henry (totally not me) started getting nervous, so we left. They go under the school, mainly, but there are a few 'windows' in the walls that are hidden behind some paintings. When we went pass the first painting, we heard some teachers talking on the other side. Something about a transfer. I dunno, BUT THE TUNNELS ARE SO COOL!

"Entry twelve *yawn* day…

Day one!

Well, apparently I have no roommate, but there's an empty bed next to me that looks like it belonged to someone, and a few products in the bathroom that suggests that someone has been here recently. It makes me a little…how you say… wary of sleep. What if this guy comes in and he's all 'I HAVE NO ROOMMATE!' then eats me?

Okay, maybe a bit melodramatic, but still could happen.

*yawn*

Uh, it's about ten 'o'clock. I should be getting to sleep. And to whomever it may concern, and if this is my last message, and you can't find the body, then I was kidnapped by my evil conniving devilish scheming wicked deceitful -

"-Hey Robin! What'cha talking about now?" Henry asked.

"AAAAAH!"

"Nya-hah, you sounded just like a little girl there! Ahaha!"

"Geez Henry, what're you doing in my room?"

"Weird, I was about to ask you the same question, but without the 'Geez Henry' part."

"Wait, you mean…"

"I think you're in the wrong room."

"What, no! We're roommates!"

"You and me, huh? I can hear the advertisement now, 'one is a jokester, and the other is a worrywart! And now, they're roommates!"

"Sharing the haunted room C321!" Robin attempted to add on.

"C321?"

"Yeah, our room number?"

"Oh, I'm in C123. My bad!" There was a sound of a door shutting.

"Well… I almost got excited for that."

"Entry thirteen. Day one.

Almost forgot to say goodnight. Goodnight!"

This chapter is just to get into Robin's character and his first day of school adventure (Am I the only one who doesn't really like him too much? Ahaha I actually found Henry funnily annoying. But remember, they're just kids!). Next chapter will be journal entries by Henry. If anyone wants to spare me some ideas on what to do after that, then that would be awesome.

As you could probably tell, Robin tried hiding his recording logs at first, but once Henry found out, he just kinda did it openly with Henry around. D'aaaaw~

Robin still don't trust him XD

(Anyone else notice Robin was really only using two words to describe his roommate?)

-Sorry for not updating since the end of December. I was visiting my dad for Christmas, then a lot of shit went down until March. After three months of not writing, I had trouble getting back into it. But recently I got my motive back, so I've been posting stories anonymously on other sites and now I think I'm ready to head back in to my own fanfic stories-

(I got the idea of Robin recording his day from another fanfic. It's a Death Note one. Juvenile Calamity by Serria.)

*****The tome recording device was made by Anna, similar to dlc Scramble Anna, who had a snapshot tome. I'm guessing it looks like a book and it just has magical properties. *****
