Reviewers;

XxAshishxX: Don't worry about it, just continue to do so from now on so I know that you are reading and then you'll all good.

Weldingman0315: Thanks a lot Man.

JayK24: Thanks for the encouragement and I always promote Wilkins75 on his M rated stories, although due to the scare of last year, it much more...tame...now, but really just add the M to the censor area and most authors just keep the same profile picture for their stories.

Mani Nova: Oh? I'm sorry if you didn't understand some parts. If you want, please tell me and I'll explain it either in a AN or I will go back and rewrite that portion better. Sound Fair?

NerdSoxx: I thought you were just fashionably late! ;) But welcome! Have some dip and some soda and...not that dip...not That soda. geez, didn't you bring anything to the potluck? Oh well, welcome!

Duh Bomb: Very nice rhymes, which were sublime. Well for the profiles, some authors suggest stories they promote and I was thinking that you promote your reviews as poetic reviews of my chapters or something along those lines.

Czar Joseph:...Yes, Sakura Is Depressed. And no, Naruto was saddened because Sakura is distancing herself from him. It is Sakura who is saddened that Naruto's name for her is no longer special but simply what ALL the other servants and her people call her.

Guest:...Are you okay? I thought the scene described what most people see in the movie of Frozen or any other movies that start out side. I'm sorry I made you cry, but...I'm kind of...Happy? yeah, happy, because I guess I got my Angst down now. Earlier stories were...pathetic.

Logan Locke: Logan...Logan...Logan. Why do you do this to me so? I've told you time and again that my chapter lengths differ greatly, but that all are above 2500 words. Last chapter was 2700. It was Angst, and meant to be slow reading, to Feel the sadness inside you...okay, that sounded really good just now. Anyways, even with all that, your chapter 3 review for Sakura is... as always, deeply connecting with my planned projection. But you had to throw Elsa under the bus of Bad Parenting? I didn't see that in Elsa at all; but then again, I saw the fear of ice all around her. as for her road through hell...Hell is a long journey, and some could say that hell is on earth. For Sakura, ohhhhh...as Ursula from the little mermaid...it has Barely Begun. (Mwahahahahaha)

And yet Logan, you come to me with a chapter 2 review as well: I can understand the wait and pushes and pulls of life. Life is the struggle that we use to define who we are as people of God...I know its sound religious, and It is. BTW, thanks for the heads up, though kill ourselves just takes us to heaven faster, doesn't it? Anyways, as you can see above you, I got the 'good' guest with us. The common sense you mentioned is exactly that and I like the idea of magic just not trolls, it is LMAO. You easily saw Sakura's fragile mind, being held together by her parents and by Naruto's shallow breaths, and was glad to hear that you enjoyed the family bonds that have been there for centuries. I took your advice and made it long lasting...take that as Your Contribution to this story. And for Sakura, the narrative is between a chimney and the magma below her forcing her to climb to faster it. Wow...this is what you do Logan. You make the whole Author Section tiny. Have a great read.

AN: Hey you guys. So! I got the complaints on shortness, but some chapters are short. The average novel is actually only around 25k-60k words long. I can guarantee you...this story is longer. So now, with that, let us read about the Princess and the Servant, and see what happens to the both of them.

Fire & Ice

Arc 1: Conceal It

Chapter 4: Sealed Protection

One month passed, and it had now been two months, or more precisely sixty five days since Naruto's accident. Outside in the city and its surrounding territory, spring was just beginning to truly show in nature as the mountains of snow and ice retreated back up the mountains, as the rebirth of plants and the life of the people returned in full force to reconquer the time that had been lost. Down in the village below, children ran off to school to learn what trade they could learn, as parents moved to the mines, forests, and fields to harvest the gems, wood, and food for the beginning of the harvest period.

Out near the harbor to the city, towers stood proudly at the inlet to the ocean far beyond, ships came in from the open sea with fish all across their decks and the trading system that was a major part of Port Haruno's market opened up for its main source of business. The merchants worked quickly and loudly yelled at their employees to hurry up and opened up their stands in the marketplace as dock workers rushed to put on their uniforms after a long winter and began to unload the ships of their precious cargo.

Ambassadors from other lands returned from their lands across the ocean and around Port Haruno in the hope to coerce the royals for many things that would benefit not just Port Haruno, but also their own cities, and out in the courtyard, soldiers and servants moved around the cobbled streets and hallways to prepare to receive anyone of importance. Soldiers moved above the ramparts, around the walls, checking shady corners, and simply continuing in their one duty, the protection of the royal family and the people that depended on them.

Inside Sakura's bedroom, Sakura stood facing towards her balcony doors, her golden and gentle fire blazing in a controlled manner after two months of practice. A small three feet of fire blazed at the course and direction of Sakura's hands and fingers, going precisely where she directed it. Sakura smiled a bit; the darkness around her eyes a little bit lesser than before and more hidden thanks to the help of her female retainer who had helped place some make up to cover her lack of sleep from the general populace of the castle and city.

The fire burned and melted the last of the ragged ice, and the melted water soon evaporated into the air, creating a small mist on the balcony doors before Sakura used a light gust of warm air to open them without touching them and the mist in the room quickly disappeared out into the open sky, moving on to who knew where.

Clapping sounded suddenly behind her and Sakura widened her eyes, but instead of freaking out, she closed her eyes and concentrated on holding her emotions in check. That was how she could hold in and control the majority of her powers after all this practice. Sakura turned slowly, measuring each step to see her parents inside her room doors, which she had unlocked when she woke up and grimaced in worry.

"You were supposed to wait outside when I'm practicing so hard." Sakura frowned, the worry in her eyes shining clearly for her parent's safety.

"We had to see for ourselves, Sakura." Her mother smiled and Sakura smiled back halfheartedly, her eyes scanning her mother's neck. Her mother's burn had become a small scar on her arm, and there was talk in the streets of the King being abusive with her. Sakura felt terrible at the knowing that her father had to take her blame, just as a child protects their new puppy that wet the carpet and was ashamed of it.

"Hey, it's okay. It doesn't hurt at all." Yuki encouraged, knowing her daughter still felt guilty about the whole incident. But then again, her daughter had thawed the ice and healed most of the burn. Soon, the scar would be gone as well, and her daughter would become her old confident self once more, though she and her husband knew that that could be a long while, but they were there for her, and would be for as long as they lived.

"I Am trying to get better." Sakura looked down, stressing the first half of the sentence, being so ashamed that she wasn't improving as fast as she should.

"Take your time, Sakura. You can't rush some things, and it's better to get the basic things down before we get to the hard things."

Like healing Naruto's mind. Sakura thought before sitting on her new bed. It had been brought in two days ago, after Sakura had begun to melt the ragged ice in the first place. It had taken two days to melt down her room. If she had another accident, she didn't know how long it would take depending on the area where it happened.

"Come on, Sakura-Chan," Her father cooed slightly, and Sakura smiled as she bit her lip in embarrassment. Only her father called her that, but she loved it, even though it made her look childish. But her father loved her so much and showed it so much in his actions; calling her -Chan, when he ruffled her hair, rubbed her tummy, and- well, yeah. He loved her. "Anyways, we need you to practice the ice now.

Sakura sighed and stood up. Today, she was in a knee length skirt of black material and a red vest. Her arms were covered to her elbows by the shirt underneath the vest and her knees were covered by her black boots that Sakura always fancied. Sakura reached inside herself and felt for the ice in her veins and held her fingers in a gun pose, pointer finger towards the ceiling and imagined the ice bursting like that wonderful night so long ago.

A bang sounded and Sakura looked forward to see her parents smile and become amazed at the sparkles that came from the shimmering ice in the air. Sakura controlled the ice itself as it moved into the shape of a small bird made of ice and Sakura imagined the bird flapping its wings.

The bird did so and began to fly around the room, following Sakura's finger before it ducked under Sakura's new bed, wrapped around the bedpost and over the canopy before it landed on the desk next to Sakura's side and melted back into small icy particles and broke off into the atmosphere.

"...That was wonderful, Sakura." Yuki smiled. "That reminds me of the bird you saved."

"That's what I thought of, mom. I guess my imagination controls the shape of what I want to create."

"Then you truly have no bounds. Now, Sakura, your mother and I have a present for you."

Sakura smiled and faced them, wondering what the present was, exactly.

Meanwhile, Naruto walked around the great royal castle casually, wondering what he should do on his day off. The King and Queen were training Sakura in something, probably more etiquette lessons on the royals. Naruto knew all of those teachings, having a tiny memory seal on his shoulder which held those lessons that he had read about in the numerous books from the royal library.

Then again, Naruto thought that he should be helping Sakura with her studies, like he did before his accident. It was funny though, the last thing he could remember was being with Sakura in the empty ballroom, and then…she kissed him as they sat under the stars.

Naruto shook his head at the memory. They couldn't have been in the ballroom if the stars were above them, and there was no way to be outside if they were on wooden floors inside the castle, and there was no way that Sakura, er, Lady Sakura, would EVER allow him to kiss her. I mean, sure he kissed her neck to wake her up, and changed her underwear and outer clothes for her, but that was his duty!

Naruto felt something tick in his mind, and shuddered. He should never be thinking about his Lady in such a way, but that kiss had to have been part of a great dream he had. It was a dream then, and that made sense, since stars shining above them inside an enclosed room could never be. But still, that kiss…what did Sakura taste like?

Her tongue had slipped inside his mouth and he, in his dream, had tasted her and though she tasted like strawberries and a slice of cherry from her lip stick, he didn't know whether he could trust that memory. But did she really taste like that? Her neck tasted like heaven to Naruto from two months ago, and Naruto was sad to say that he missed kissing her neck, leaving those marks on her in the morning, and…the sweet and hidden kisses to her forehead that she did not know about. He had to find out how to approach this with her in a serious manner. How to-

A thought came to Naruto's mind and he smiled. He might as well ask that girl. She would know how to approach this idea that came to Naruto's mind and if Sakura would like it. So quickly, Naruto walked up the ramparts to the east side of the castle where dignitaries stayed as well as those given to the Haruno royalty, including a retainer named Ino Yamanaka.

Naruto arrived at the girl's door and knocked humbly. Soon after, a muffled voice of 'Coming!' sounded, and a minute later, a long blond haired, sky blue eyed girl opened the door to widen her eyes in surprise at the sight of Sakura's servant before her.

"Naruto?" Ino asked shocked. "Does Sakura need to see me?"

"Um...well, no. I came on my own." Naruto blushed in embarrassment. "I was wondering if you could help me with something."

Ino smiled before clicking her tongue at the remembrance of her present duty. "Sure, but I need to go to the stables, first. Go with me?"

"Of course." Naruto nodded and Ino smiled and walked out in a purple blouse and a sun colored-gold knee-length skirt whose colors represented a member of the royal Yamanaka royalty.

As they walked around the castle towards the stables, Naruto admired Ino's figure a bit. Ino was the epitome of beauty for Sakura and his age group, with all the right curves for their age and only set to become more beautiful as the years went by. Naruto knew that Sakura was the most beautiful girl in his servant eyes, but Ino came a close second.

Ino was a princess almost like Sakura, but Ino was not an heir to the throne like Sakura was. In fact she was not an heir at all. She was born into the second family of the Yamanaka Lord, after the death of his first wife. But the oldest son was not the heir apparent, as he was a coward and cared not for his people, but only selfish luxury. The Yamanaka wanted their leaders to be strong in mind and of royal blood.

For Ino, her mother, the second Queen, was the daughter of a knight, close to royal and honorable blood, but just not quite. Anyways, though her father loved her much, her eldest sister, the next Queen to be at her father's death, did not like her at all, and did many things to try to cripple the younger heir. So her father had sent her a year ago to Port Haruno, to serve as a retainer for Sakura, the heir apparent as the only child of the Haruno royalty.

Ino and Sakura got along rather well, and as far as friends went, they were rather close, but not as close as Sakura was with Naruto. But as Ino walked, she thought about the recent shift and the sudden secrecy of the royal family and the slow distance that Sakura was repeated increasing as she placed it between herself and her teenage servant.

Maybe the young heiress was being kept under more scrutiny for suitors. Ino thought that was likely, as after all, the one she chose would become King of the city and the head of an alliance between itself, and a number of other cities under a large alliance treaty for their part of the world.

As such, Ino had begun to gravitate around Naruto and him around her as to fill up more time where Sakura secluded herself from the both of them. Ino had found herself as of late flirting a bit with Naruto outside Sakura's door as Sakura practiced her studies and such, but she knew Naruto had deep seated feelings for his Lady and though he denied it it, it was halfhearted, and the conflict inside him was obvious between his feelings and his duty. Ino could have been the Heir Apparent if not for her sister. She was of sound mind, and picked up on emotions rather well, and so felt sorry for the young servant.

For one saw that it wasn't unheard of for a princess to take her servant into her bed for cold nights, and Ino knew that Sakura liked Naruto as well. After a few months here, Sakura had told Ino outright her slow plan to make Naruto fall for her, and he had. But then again, Naruto wouldn't go over the line unless Sakura spoke aloud and asked for it, so anytime Naruto felt down, there was one reason and one reason only; Sakura.

"So, Naruto, what is that that you wanted my help with?" Ino asked as she leaned against the stone wall of the inner courtyard. They had just finished counting the horses for the Calvary of Port Haruno which was twelve hundred, even though most stables were situated all around the city, the castle still had five hundred stalls for the horses here.

"Well, I…uh, I…want to surprise Sakura."

"Oh, that's sweet. What is it?" Ino smiled, her curiosity taking over as she loved how thoughtful Naruto was in his gifts to the young princess.

"I…can't really say." Naruto spoke as he kicked a loose pebble free from the wall.

"Can you show it?" Ino asked.

"Well…yeah." Naruto muttered.

"Show me then. Ino spoke, and Naruto breathed out and nodded.

"Okay…here I go."

"Ready Sakura?" Maki asked his daughter as a guard walked in with a package of red and black. Sakura nodded excitedly and waited for the knight to place the box on the desk and closed the door as he left.

Sakura opened the box quickly as it froze on the outside and gasped. Inside the box were a few pairs of pink see through satin gloves that would go from her fingers up to her elbows. On them were flowered designs and were in a slight mixture of red and pink. Sakura's hands hovered over them, barely touching them with her nails.

"Th-they're…beautiful."

"Try them on, dear." Yuki encouraged, and Sakura nodded to herself, growing confident and slowly picked up the first set of gloves on top. Careful not to rip her new and beautiful present, Sakura slowly placed her hands inside them, and as the edges of the gloves slapped softly against her elbows, Sakura gasped and felt her magical power being tugged away from her into the gloves themselves.

"Do you feel a little more in control, Sakura?"

Sakura looked puzzled for a full minute but then smiled at her royal parents. "Yeah. There's a balance now to the flow. It feels easier now."

"Each of those gloves has seals all over it from the Namikaze clan, and as your magic grows, the longer you wear those gloves. Once you graduate to the next pair of gloves, they are stronger and will assist you as you progress. When you reach the final one and release the seals after that, you'll have mastered your magic, Sakura."

Silence reigned for a minute and Maki cleared his throat and Yuki smiled. "Sakura?"

"Huh? Sorry, I just love them so much! Thank you!" Sakura cried as tears spilled down her cheeks. "Mom, can I try to heal it again?" Sakura asked as she began to take off the gloves. Sakura winced as the magic flooded back and retreated once more. These emotional surges could only endanger her and those around her.

"Sakura dear, you can use your magic through the glove's fabric itself."

"Really?" Sakura asked astonished, and looked at the gloves in wondering amazement. Sakura slowly walked forward and at her mother's nod touched her shoulder. Green light flashed for a single second and Sakura didn't realize that she meant to do that, but when she lifted her hand, the scar was gone and Sakura began to hold in her ecstatic emotions as she bit her lip excitedly.

"Sakura?" Her father spoke and Sakura turned to look at him, only to freeze as he was holding her hand in his. Her magic…she could…hide it. "I can…touch you?"

"Now you can practice safely. These gloves will protect your secret. Remember; control it, don't let it control you."

"M-may I go outside?" Sakura asked suddenly, and her parents smiled at their daughter. She had not left her room except to the royal gatherings that she was required to attend. Her parents smiled. "Go ahead."

Sakura quickly rushed off. Her feet carrying her around the castle quickly. All around the castle, as Sakura smiled and laughed and ran around in stupid circles, the servants and knights and ambassadors and villagers smiled for their jewel of the city. They had missed their Sakura. Some had thought Sakura was guilty of causing Naruto's 'riding accident,' but now all was right with the world.

Sakura moved through the castle quickly, before pouring out onto the walls of the inner sanctuary, on her way to the stables and garden area. She could touch Naruto; she didn't have to worry now about the magic killing him just by sight alone.

She could have him dress her again, touch her again, though she'd have to first control her emotions and let him understand that he couldn't have feelings for her, but still! Everything was going to be okay.

That was Sakura's last thought as she looked down into the courtyard and her eyes widened and her new gloved hand came up to her mouth to hold back a sob. Down below, Naruto had his hands wrapped lovingly in her retainer's long golden hair, holding her face as he kissed her deeply.

Sakura saw his tongue moving inside Ino's mouth and then her heart dropped as her own retainer pushed her tongue out to swap saliva and taste of Naruto's mouth as her arms brought his body closer and opened her legs as Naruto rubbed his thigh against her crotch in an erotic display of affection.

Tears fell down Sakura's face, and small sobbing echoed in Sakura's throat, trying to get out. That's right. Sakura was a princess of Port Haruno, but her retainer could marry and be with anyone from any class of society if she so chose. Naruto didn't need to like Sakura when he could have a girl like Ino.

Sakura saw them push closer together, taking it to the next level, and Sakura couldn't stay there anymore. With tears hiding her sight, Sakura retreated off to the one place that she thought she was safe.

Down in the square, Naruto and Ino ended their passionate kiss.

"Wow…"

"So…do you think Lady Sakura will like that kind of kiss?" Naruto asked, waiting for Ino's opinion.

AN: WHAT?! No! This is not what happened in the movie?! Huh...I suppose, I like this idea better...hehehe.
