Charlotte's at work. She's feeling down but that's par for the course since Cooper broke up with her. She's in her office when he comes in. She's excited to see him. She's excited for the little opportunities she gets to be around him these days since they're so scarce.

He asked her to leave the practice after they first broke up. She told him no because she was starting up her sexology practice but the truth is that if she left she wouldn't get to see him as much anymore and she needs to see him. She's in love with him. She knows she has to do the time waiting for him to forgive and forget.

He looks handsome in his new suit. He has a glow about him this morning she thinks. He hands her a check and tells her he's growing up. He wants to pay her back what he owes her.

"Is this all that's left between us?" She asks him.

"Don't make it more than it is." He tells her and walks away.

"She wants to scream. He was so calm and normal. He wasn't angry or bitter. She's scared he's moving on without her for real now. She marches down to Sheldon Wallace's office. He's sitting in his chair looking at a chart. She unbuttons her blouse. He laughs and tells her this isn't a good time. She tells Sheldon to shut up and straddles him. She doesn't have any feelings for Sheldon. This is a distraction to keep her mind off the lonely feeling that's been haunting her since Cooper left her alone.

She immerses herself in her two jobs during the day and martini's at night. She's aware this isn't a good time for her to be drinking. Emotional drinking is never good especially for someone who should be attending AA meetings. She's been skipping meetings lately. She's feeling more like her momma each day by covering up her pain with emotional drinking and mindless sex with Sheldon Wallace.

It's night time now and she's leaving her office. Sheldon Wallace stops by to ask her to go out on a dinner date. She's not interested in eating with him. She just wants to screw his brains out because it makes her feel a little better. Cooper 's leaving the office with Dell. Sheldon notices the way she watches Cooper. "You're still in love with him." Sheldon tells her.

She doesn't deny it. "Do you wanna do it or not?" She asks Sheldon.

Sheldon doesn't want to. "It's not good to cover up your feelings with mindless sex," he tells her.

"Eat by yourself." She snips at Sheldon and stalks off.

She doesn't want to go home to Violet's empty house so she goes to St. Ambrose to check on a patient. She does something now that she would never do. She goes against hospital rules and allows a husband in to see his comatose wife. The husband's legally forbidden from entering his wife's room. Charlotte empathizes with the husband. All he wants is to be with his wife but he's not allowed. He's sad, lonely and miserable. All she wants is to be with Cooper but she's not allowed. She's sad, lonely and miserable.
