Ritsu: This chapter starts out slow, btw! It's pretty slow altogether to be honest… Sorry 'bout that!

In the confusion caused by monsters and ghosts you had forgotten that you had brought your bag, but now that you and Kizami were safe (as safe as you could be) in one of the classrooms you had remembered it.

"Hey, do you know where my bag is?" you asked Kizami, gaining a confused look in return.

"Bag? I don't remember you having a bag."

"… Did I lose it somewhere…?" you mumbled to yourself thinking back on what had happened so far. Did I have it when I met that scary guy with the sledgehammer…? Sighing, you slowly got up on your feet, trying your best not to harm your ankle more than necessary. Kizami shot you a look, a mix of annoyance and what you assumed was worry. You wobbled towards a chair, sitting down on it slowly. Kizami raised an eyebrow, clearly wondering why you would stand up just to sit down.

"… I can see the room better from here."

"…"

"Ugh… I can't believe I lost my bag… I had food and bandages and my cell phone was in there too!"

"… You're one of those paranoid people, huh…"

"… N-no. I just… I like to be prepared for everything!" your outburst caused Kizami to chuckle. Your cheeks flushed and you pouted.

"What's so funny?!"

"Prepared for 'everything', you say…" Kizami trailed off, a suggestive tone lacing his voice. You felt your face grow even warmer.

"P-PERVERT!" you yelled, dramatically pointing at Kizami for added effect. Kizami let out a laugh, seemingly finding the situation hilarious. You, however, did not. He looks so serious all the time… but he's actually a pervert?! W-well… at least that means he has a flaw…

With an annoyed pout on your face you crossed your arms, restlessly swinging your left leg back and forth. Kizami got up from his position on the floor and walked on over to you.

"We should try and get your ankle wrapped up, either way. Guess that bag of yours would've been useful for more than one thing after all…"

You blinked, staring at Kizami silently. He had a somewhat unreadable look on his face, but you thought there was a hint of something 'dark' in his eyes. Is he hitting on me?! A-and my bag would've been useful for several things either way! I mean there's food and bandages in it! And should he REALLY be thinking about things like that when we're in this kind of situation?!

Your thoughts must've been reflected on your face as Kizami started laughing again. You let out a noise of frustration only to realize the previous sense of dread seemed to be gone. Wait, he was just… trying to get rid of the tension…?

A miniscule smile covered your lips, leaving Kizami confused once more. He refrained from asking and instead started looking around the classroom for something to splint your ankle with. You silently watched him search the room, crouching down to reach under benches and chairs. You had to admit the view was pretty nice whenever his pants would hitch down slightly. Not that you would tell him that.

After some minutes of searching, Kizami walked back to you with a small wooden plank in his hand. "We can use this to splint your ankle, but we need something to tie around it and I figured you wouldn't want anything from the… corpses…" Kizami trailed off, gaining a nod in confirmation. You jumped in surprise when he started ripping off the bottom of his uniform jacket.

"This might hurt a bit," was the only warning you received before Kizami grabbed ahold of your right foot, holding the small plank pressed against your ankle. With his other hand he started wrapping the strips of fabric from his uniform around your ankle, tying it tightly. You flinched, your ankle still sore, but remained silent.

"There, that should help a little bit, at least. I'm not a doctor, so I can't say it'll work for sure though. You usually splint broken body parts so the bones will fix themselves right so it might not work at all in this case, but at least it should keep you from putting too much pressure on your foot."

"Okay… Umm, where are we supposed to go, anyway? I mean… Did you… see anyone on the way here…?" you started, glancing at Kizami with an almost hopeful look in your eyes. Kizami shook his head, a bothered look on his face.

"No one… alive, anyway. But I didn't see anyone with your uniform's colours so don't worry," he explained, sitting down on a nearby chair. You sighed in relief, but realized Kizami wouldn't know if he saw one of your male friends.

"… Ah, did you see anyone with a blue uniform..?" you asked, gaining a confused look in return.

"No, why?"

Because only the girls have pink uniforms… the guys have blue ones…

"I got help from another survivor that had a blue uniform… just wanted to know."

"Ah, I see… No, I didn't see anyone with a blue uniform," he spoke after a moment of contemplation. You nodded slowly, a sudden sense of suspicion arising in your gut. W-why am I suspicious? I mean… Kizami wouldn't lie, would he? But I've only known him for a few hours… He saved me though… Oh Kiriko-San… if only you were here. You were always good at judging people's character…

"[Name]-Chan?" Kizami's voice brought you out of your thoughts. You blinked, staring at him with confusion written across your face.

"Are you okay?" he asked, raising an eyebrow in question. You nodded quickly causing Kizami to furrow his eyebrows. "Well, if you say so…"

He doesn't believe me… But I don't believe he told me the truth either… He saw someone with a blue uniform… he saw one of my friends… And it's probably… Yosuke-Kun… He's the only one I didn't… find. And if Kizami lied… he must've been… dead!

"You're clearly not," Kizami spoke, startling you this time as he cupped your left cheek in his hand, his thumb wiping away a stray tear you didn't even knew had fallen.

"What's bothering you?"

You couldn't tell him. You knew that he'd get angry if you told him you thought he was lying. Who wouldn't get angry? You lowered your gaze, making no move to remove Kizami's hand. Letting out a noise of frustration, Kizami removed his hand and leaned back in his chair.

"You don't have to tell me, but you could at least give me some kind of answer…"

"He's dead."

"… Huh?"

"Yosuke-Kun. He's dead."

"… You don't know that."

"I can feel it."

"… What makes you so sure?"

"I just know!"

Your sudden mood swing seemed to annoy Kizami greatly as he looked like he wanted to smack some sense into you.

"Let's go look then!" he suddenly exclaimed while putting a hand on your shoulder. "Would that make you feel better!?"

Kizami didn't even wait for your response before dragging you out of the classroom. You couldn't stand on your foot probably and Kizami's dragging didn't help very much, only causing you further pain. You attempted to pull your arm out of Kizami's grip but he held it in an iron grip.

"It hurts! Let go! My ankle hurts!"

"You're so noisy…"

"STOP IT!"

"WOULD YOU SHUT UP FOR FIVE FUCKING SECONDS?!"

You had done it. You had pissed him off. The look on his face was one of pure anger and it terrified you. He had the same look when he had seen the ghost in the restroom. No… nononono! I didn't… I didn't want to make him angry!

Kizami pulled your arm roughly, making you slam into him. You started sobbing uncontrollably, your tears staining his shirt.

"I'm sorry…" you managed to mumble between your sobs, feeling Kizami's grip on your arm loosen.

You were both frustrated and tired. It was no wonder you kept setting eachother off.

"… Maybe it's better to head our separate ways," Kizami spoke after a few seconds of silence, startling you. Without warning he gave you a light push and turned around, briskly walking away from you. Your eyes widened. B-but…! Without his help I…

"Kizami, wait!"

But it was too late. He'd already rounded a corner and by the time you had wobbled there he was nowhere to be seen.

"… Dammit!"

I entered one of the nearby classrooms, not too far from [Name] to be completely separated, but not close enough for her to find me. "Now what will you do… little [Name]-Chan…"

I let out a low chuckle. Let's see how well you'll do on this test, shall we? Will you lose hope and die… or will you survive and earn your right to live?

Ritsu: BEFORE YOU TIE ME TO A STICK AND BURN ME ALIVE I NEED TO TELL YOU THAT THE ENDING MIGHT UPSET PEOPLE BUT IT WILL MAKE SENSE SOON! I PROMISE!

Kizami: …

Ritsu: … No rape attempts, Kizami.

Kizami: Damn.

Ritsu: Just... don't worry about the end! Obviously they'll meet again! But I have some drama planned before that! It's for the sake of the PLOT! D: And because Kizami has urges that mustn't be quelled yet! I mean uhh… It's for Rea-chan's safety! Also… if you have ANY requests on things to happen in the story feel free to tell me! I don't mind incorporating some of your ideas as long as they're doable and doesn't interfere with my plot too much ^o^
