Regulus silently and slowly moved her to his room across the hall. Narcissa was holding on to him like koala bear holding on to a tree. He made her sit on his bed. Narcissa was leaning on his shoulder, and their fingers entwined. She was still crying. Poor Regulus doesn't know what he had done to deserve a slap like that. He never knew his innocent Narcissa could be violent. She stopped crying and started breathing steadily. Regulus was afraid to ask her what happened and imaging all worst scenarios that could have happened in these couple of hours after he left her house today morning. After he came to his house today morning, he was going through the plan in his mind which he had made when he heard Kreacher's journey to the cave with Dark Lord for the first time. He joined Dark Lord to prove that he is not like his brother Sirius who was considered traitor by his parents but deep down in his heart he knew he was just like Sirius doesn't care about blood supremacy and also to find a way to save his good friend Snape who made a mistake by joining Dark Lord .So he took his mark when he was seventeen — a perfect birthday gift for him from his father. Dark Lord never noticed his presence during his revel or his meeting. Out of sudden, He wanted his house elf for a day. Nobody can refuse the Dark Lord's request. Kreacher, poor soul serving his family for years. All other elves in house-old were young and new. Kreacher was his personal elf, so he knew him better than the others. They were gone for the entire day. Around midnight, Kreacher apparated back. He was in a poor state.
He had asked other house elves to tend immediately and ordered them to bring back alive and to a sane state. Later when Kreacher's health was normal, he requested Kreacher to tell what happened but it took hours for me to get gist of story. He was curious about Dark Lord behaviour. Regulus wanted to know what he was hiding there? From Kreacher's version of the story. It was some jewel. He started spending hours in the Hogwarts library reading books like sacred twenty-eight and their heirlooms and also Hogwarts: The History. He showed Kreature the heirlooms one by one until he found the one that Dark Lord hid there. The scream from Kreacher was deafening when he showed the locket of Salzar Slytherin. During the last week of his Christmas holiday, he stumbled upon very Dark book about really Dark Magic called Horcrux. He also found that the last owner of the book was none other than the Dark Lord. He was disgusted by Dark lord actions to achieve immortality. Regulus decided to destroy it. It took him almost a year to draft a perfect plan. On hearing Kreacher's story for one last time he knew his mission is quite deadly and less possible of coming back alive. The elf survived because of elvish magic, which is stronger than the wizard's magic. He looked at Narcissa to see she was fast asleep on his shoulders and holding to his hand very tightly even in her sleepy state. He made her lie down on his bed and cover her with the blanket still wondering how did she find him here? Nobody knows about his plan, not even poor Kreacker. The elf was quite surprised to see his master today morning, and he told Kreacher to get ready to leave with him in 5 mins. He slowly removed his hand from her vice grip slowly, so she doesn't get disturbed. She looked so peaceful and beautiful at the same time. His heart broke into pieces seeing her cry like that. He was surprised to see her in the Tapestry room on her knees. The sight of seeing her like that was gut-wrenching. He called "Kreacher''. The elf appeared " How can Kreacher serve his masters?". He requested " Could you please fetch me some parchments, inks, and quill?". From the time he came to know about poor elf sacrifice, he started respecting him. Kreacher owns a special place in his heart. Once the elf reappeared with the things he requested. He set thing downs on the writing desk in the corner of his room. He removed the three jewelry boxes from his desk's draw. He glimpsed at Narcissa with a smile on his face before he started writing his letters.
