Hey, sorry for the long wait, I wanted to plan out the rest of the story before I confirmed any revelations in this one :)

Oh and there is now a possibility it could be more than five chapters (I may need a sixth one) so this isn't necessarily the penultimate chapter! :D

"Wait? Did she just say father?" Exclaimed Piper from the floor. Neither the woman, nor Cole paid her any attention, however as they began circling one another.

"You can't be mine." Decided Cole in a low enquiring tone after a few moments, "I've only ever had one child and -he- was..."

"Vanquished by your ex-wife and her sisters." Completed the woman, who shot a dirty look towards Piper at the mention of the unborn boy's fate. "And yet, here I am." She held out her arms, inviting the part demon to examine her to check she was real.

"The child wouldn't even be fourteen now. And you expect me to believe..." Before he could finish however, the woman's eyes glowed red and her skin began to contort and change. She shrank several inches and her long hair retracted into her skull before their very eyes. It took less than a minute for the change to occur, but when the red light had faded, the woman had disappeared and in her place stood a young boy, only a few years, older than Wyatt. The boy was tall for his age, with medium length dark hair, dark brown eyes, but with a determined and defiant expression that could only have come from his mother's line.

"Hello Father." He repeated. His smile and confidence seemed to have evaporated along with the woman, and for a moment he seemed just like any other boy as he looked up with wide and innocent eyes at Cole.

"A shape shifter..." Breathed Piper, drawing both father and son's eyes to her.

"One of the many powers that comes to a child of both the Source and a Charmed One." Replied the boy coldly. "That and this..." He shot out his hands, sending Piper souring to the ceiling where she began to scream in pain.

"What are you doing? Stop!" Cried Cole leaping forward to pull the boy's focus away from the contorting witch.

The boy dropped his arms and Piper immediately fell towards the floor, but before she hit it, Cole managed to catch her in his arms. Piper looked nervously from the demon that had so many times plotted against her and her sisters, to his son, who now seemed intent on a similar path. She was still in great pain from whatever power the boy had inflicted on her, and she was shaking heavily. Knowing there was no way she could take on either powers in her state, and suspecting Cole would neither fight nor leave his son, she decided there was nothing more she could do other than leave and warn her sisters.

Her hands still trembling, she reached into her bag and drew out the potion which would return her home, but before she could use it, suddenly a jingle and cascade of blue orbs appeared in the room, and when they cleared they revealed Leo, Paige and Phoebe who all stood armed with potions and athames ready to help.

"I heard your screams." Explained Leo. Clearly the shields the boy had been using to cover his goblin attacks were not in place this time. "What's going on? Who's this?"

Piper looked back to Cole who hadn't taken his eyes off of his new found son. There was clearly a part of him that was horrified by the boy's power and violence, and yet another part of him only wanted to get to know the young, confused boy.

"This is..." Began Cole uncertainly.

"Well?" Pressed Phoebe. "Is this another child who was taken by the Goblins? Where's Henry? Did you get him back too?" She asked hopefully, glancing around the attic.

"No, mother." Replied the boy curtly, "Little cousin Henry is still very much in the hands of my goblins." Phoebe's eye's widened as her brain tried to sort through the volley of information she had just been handed.

The boy had called her his mother. He also referred to Henry as 'Cousin' and the goblins as 'his' he couldn't be more than fourteen years old meaning he was born around...

"No!" Gasped Phoebe, stumbling backwards and colliding with Leo. "You can't be... you died!" Cole moved around his son, positioning his body so as to protect Phoebe. From everything the boy had said so far, he could guess that the boy would not react well.

"MURDERED more like." Yelled the boy. "You abandoned me and then you and your sisters tried to kill me!" Phoebe flinched at that accusation, but couldn't deny it. She still thought about those months when she carried her first child. Even though he had turned out to be evil, she still felt so much love and sorrow when she thought of him. He raised his hands to fire a fire ball at the sisters, but Cole was faster and grabbed his arms to restrain his magic. "HOW CAN YOU DEFEND THEM?" Screamed the boy. "They tried to kill me, they've killed you so many times and you just let them get away with it?"

"Leo, get them out of here!" Cole ordered, ignoring his son's question. All three sisters immediately raised protests, but Leo could see how dangerous this could be and despite his own questions, Leo wasn't about to risk any of the sisters by aggravating the clearly dangerous boy. He wrapped his arm around Piper before grabbing Phoebe and Paige's arms and orbing away.

"What the hell Leo?" Exclaimed Paige as she pulled out of his grip. "We needed to talk to him! He knows where Junior is!"

"I know Paige, but it was too dangerous. You saw the look in his eyes, I don't think he was about to hand over Henry without a fight, and judging from his lineage, I doubt you would have come out on top, and then where would Junior be?" Defended Leo. "We're just going to have to trust that Cole can talk some reason into him."

"So what? You just leave him with Cole?" Pointed out Piper who was just as angry. "Do you have any idea how dangerous those two would be if they decided to work against us? What makes you think you can trust Cole Turner of all people?"

"Because he saved our son." Replied Leo curtly. "I know what he did in the past, but this is different. He's not the source anymore; he's not even a proper demon. He's our only chance in all of this, and we have to trust that he'll come through for us." Piper, who's reasoning was probably least impacted by the recent turn of events nodded in agreement. But Paige shook her head defiantly and Phoebe was yet to recover from her shock.

"I'm going back there." Declared Paige. "I need to get my son back, I'm not risking them disappearing and taking Henry with them." Both her sisters and Leo seemed to be about to protest, but before they could open their mouth, a voice came from behind them.

"No you're not." Stated Henry firmly, as he and Coop walked further into the room, having listened to their whole conversation from the doorway.

"Henry... they have Junior!" She protested, but Henry shook his head, pulling her into a tight embrace, gently stroking her hair.

"I know." Replied Henry softly, "But from what I heard, we need to be smart about this. I believe in you, and I know how much you want Henry back, I want him back as well, but maybe we should wait and see if Cole does come through." He suggested.

"This is Cole, Henry." She pointed out, "You don't understand, you weren't around when we had to deal with him before. He always did this, he'd pretend to be out friend and then he'd turn evil and we had to vanquish him." She recounted sadly. "And this time the only difference is that it's Henry who's in danger instead of us."

"Paige, sweetie, I think Henry's right." Said Piper. "Whether Cole is with us or not, we've seen how powerful the boy is, and there is nothing we can do without more help. So please, you need to rest- we'll sort this out tomorrow. Right Phoebe?... Phoebe?"

Everyone turned to face the middle sister who was just leaning on a table, staring at a spot on the far wall. Coop walked over to her, wrapping his arm around her shoulder but she didn't even seem to notice.

"The boy." She repeated Piper's words. "I don't even know his name. He's fourteen years old, and I didn't even know he existed!"

"How could you have?" Objected Coop. "He's been hidden, no one knew- not even cupids or white-lighters."

"But I'm his mother... I have premonitions about random strangers, yet I never saw my son!" She shrugged Coop's arm off of her shoulder, and stood up to walk towards the door. "And now he's attacking our family all because of me! I'm so sorry Paige." She said, he voice cracking.

At her words, the assembled group all raised a volley of protests, but Phoebe ignored them all and walked out of the room, back to where the children were sleeping next door. Coop went to follow her, but Piper held him back, knowing Phoebe needed time to get her head around the revelations of the day.

Meanwhile, back at the manor Cole stayed with his newly discovered son, determined to make sure he didn't do anything regrettable.

"So are you going to explain to me how you're here?" He asked seriously. The boy shrugged.

"The seer had foreseen what happened as a possible outcome of your decision to stay with mother, so she made... arrangements to protect me if her prophecy came true." He explained. "As soon as she realised she had lost she shimmered away and only left a projection of herself for them to vanquish so as she could raise me to become the next source." Cole nodded in understanding. The seer had always been prepared for anything and it didn't surprise him one bit to hear of her scheme. "We hid in Asia for most of my childhood, there are so many people there of all races- magical and human, that she knew that would be the best way to stop my powers from being recognised- hidden in plain sight you know?"

"And it was also her idea for you to wonder around the underworld alone Disguised as a twenty year old woman?" Cole questioned, surprised to find that amongst all the various versions of himself to have been returned to this realm, a very paternal side of him seemed to be appearing. The boy shook his head.

"About a year ago I lost control of my power and accidentally vanquished her." He confessed sadly. Despite his cold exterior, Cole could see genuine emotion in his eyes, and could tell that despite her many faults, the seer meant a lot to his son. "She had told me all the stories about you and the Charmed ones. So when she died, I knew it was time for me to take what is mine back from the Halliwells. So I travelled down into the underworld to raise an army, but no matter how much power you have, no demon will follow a kid, so I disguised myself in that way and took the place of a lower level demon to work my way through the underworld more discreetly, meaning the sisters were never going to know what hit them." He explained proudly. Cole sighed.

"And then what? You're going to steel their powers? Kill them? Raise the underworld to greater glory? You know, you're not the first person to try to do that." He cautioned. "Many more before you, including the seer have tried and failed. And besides, they're you're family, don't you want to get to know them?"

"I did." Confessed the boy, who suddenly seemed so young and vulnerable. "The Seer raised me, but she never pretended to be my family. I used to dream of my real parents coming for me, but then she told me how my real family had tried to kill me, and not cared when they believed they had succeeded, so I sort of lost the desire to meet them."

"You know your mother; she refused to leave her room for weeks after she lost you." Said Cole, resting a hand on the boy's shoulder. "I was trapped in the wasteland but when I reached out, I saw her pain, I saw what loosing you did to her, and believe me it took her a long time to recover from that. Sure now she had a new family and children, but that doesn't mean she doesn't love you. I know she would accept you in an instant if you asked her."

"And I know that she would vanquish me in an instant if she thought she could save my sisters." He retorted, suddenly angry. "But now nothing can save them, because I will find them, I will take them and then the sisters will have no choice to surrender." He boasted, "They're going to give me their powers, and then when they are weak and begging for their children, I'll use their own powers to kill their children."

"And what will that achieve?" Challenged Cole. "All you'll end up with is the corpses of your cousins and sisters and the hatred of your mother."

"And what about my father?" He asked hopefully.

"It was you who brought me back, wasn't it?" Realised Cole, finally understanding how he could have crossed dimensions. "You brought me back because you know despite everything you're planning, that you do need a family."

"I brought you back because you could be a powerful ally who's been vanquished enough times to want to take down the Charmed Ones once and for all." He dismissed. Despite himself Cole smiled at the stubbornness of the child- he was defiantly Phoebe's boy.

"Allies eh?" He considered, "You know, I don't even know your name."

"It's Lucifer." Replied the boy, "The Seer said that is who I was aspiring to be, and so that's who I would be." Cole nodded.

"Right then Lucifer," He stated, proffering a hand, "When do we start?"
