Jurassic World, Veterinary Building, 10:00 A.M.
"Alpha, I'm fine! I don't need prick-things from Gerry, I swear!" Harry pleaded, watching Owen with big puppy eyes from where he had curled under the transport, hoping to avoid shots from the vet. Behind Owen stood Gerry, Claire, Barry, and Jess, all four of whom were smothering their laughter to varying degrees of success. Owen sighed. The more Harry learned from the girls, it seemed, the less human Harry acted. A good example of this was given when Rexy, deciding that she wanted to enter the raptor paddock, interrupted the afternoon show. Harry, ever the opportunistic brat thanks to Blue, snuck behind the Big Boss of the island while Delta distracted her. Harry, Blue, Echo, and Charlie all leapt onto Rexy's back when she decided to lay down to inspect the barking midget. Needless to say, Claire had laughed when Rexy merely looked back at the four, stood up, and began to walk back to her nest.
Poor Charlie looked so confused on the camera footage that Lowery had made the video go viral.
"Harry, will you please work with me here? You need to get the shots or else you'll get some sort of illness, and we don't want that!" Owen argued, arms crossed and face stern. Harry growled at the man, and Owen shouted "Hey! Eyes on me!" Immediately, Harry stopped growling, but he didn't climb from under his shelter. "Now, I'm going to count to three, and you better get out from under that truck, or I will get Delta." Harry scowled, and shook his head. "One." The young hybrid felt for his magic, which he had kept hidden, and grasped it. "Two." Harry pictured the enclosure, his nest therein, and the trees that blocked out the sun. "Three." Harry released the magic, imagining the arcane pulse vanishing him, and appearing in his nest.
Back at the vet building, the four adults looked wide-eyed at each other, and Gerry stammered "W-Well, that's a first." Owen merely nodded, and Claire's mind raced to find any logical explanation as to how a young boy had been there one moment, and gone the next. "Come on. We need to find him. Who knows where he ended up?" Gerry said, imagining what could go wrong. He shuddered at the images in his mind, and shook himself. 'No. I refuse to think like that.'
As the four left to search for Harry, the boy in question was passed out in his nest, curled into a ball of sleeping raptor-boy.
'How did Harry just… teleport? Could this be something Wu did, in case Harry was ever kidnapped? I mean, a kid who can teleport straight back to bed when kidnapped means you'd never need to worry, but how would it even be possible? Sure, cloning dinosaurs is all old hat, but teleportation?' Claire thought to herself, running alongside Owen to the enclosure. Despite Harry, in technicality, being an asset, she couldn't help but grow close to the boy, as well as the four raptors that helped save the island.
Owen's mindset was one of panic. This was his grandson, the child of his eldest daughter, who just up and teleported like this was some damn paranormal movie. Despite a stint in the Navy SEALs, as well as surviving the Indominus Incident, nothing had prepared him for this. 'And how the hell does one prepare for their half-raptor grandchild to up and teleport out of fuck-all nowhere? As it stands, there's already question as to his humanity. Bringing this up would just worsen the situation.' Unbeknownst to Owen, the small amount of raptor instinct, born from both prolonged time around his pack as well as some scientific witchcraft from Doctor Wu, began to kick in, and he sniffed the air for his grandson's scent, and growled as he caught a faint whiff of it. If anybody dared hurt the hatchling, they would be fed to Rexy!
Behind Owen, the others heard the growl, and each shared a glance. This wasn't his 'I am annoyed by your shenanigans' growl, nor his 'I'm going to smack an idiot' growl. No, this was one they had only heard once before, and even then it chilled them. It was his 'Step one hair's breadth closer to my pack and I swear I'll paint the island with your blood' growl. The last time some poor unlucky soul had heard it, the InGen soldier who had injured Charlie with a misaimed rocket was found dead in the Pteranodon enclosure, with what looked like a stab wound caused by a raptor's claw on the back of the corpse's head.
To this day, no one was willing to say who or what could have done it, even though Claire had noticed the claw Owen kept as a good-luck charm now appeared to have a rust-coloured stain on it.
Barry's thoughts had also wandered into the realm of worry for the young hybrid. While at first nervous about a human velociraptor running about, he had grown to accept Harry as a member of the family. He had noticed how Blue and the other raptors had acted around Harry, nuzzling him when he became nervous or watching over him as he slept. To him, it was proof that these creatures were more than just instinct-driven predators. No. These were family, making sure that their child was safe. Hearing Owen growl just brought home even more what Harry had done. He'd made a family out of people who were too different, and made it work.

Down in a government building in England, hidden behind the veil of magic and secrecy, an alarm rang out. Two figures in grey robes looked up to see where the outburst of magic had originated from. "Isla Nublar? Why in Hecate's name would there be a surge there? Let alone one that matches Apparition?" one of the figures asked, her voice cutting out the alarm.
"I'm not entirely sure, but the signature matches that of Harry Potter. Now what would the Boy-Who-Lived be doing on the other side of the pond, hmm?" the other figure responded, humour and curiosity equal in his tone.
Both only knew one thing for certain. No matter the whys and wherefores, it was up to them to send someone to investigate.
