Fairy Tail

Advent of the Stars

Phoenix Claw Arc

Chapter 4

Fallen Angel

A/N: Thanks for everyone that's been reading this story. it makes me happy to know there are people who are enjoying it. and trust me, I've searched for tons of Wendy x Oc fics and I didn't find any, so i said, why not write one, that's how this came to be. The first major story arc will be starting soon, so until then, keep an eye out.

Disclaimer, i don't own Fairy Tail, and if I did, I would have added another girl Dragon Slayer, we need one dammit

Also, Deez Nuts...I had to say it.

It had been a two weeks since Alex had joined the guild. Upon returning the day of his first mission, he got the reward for the request, directly from the owner who Mira had contacted. She said she had lost hope in seeing the necklace again, but seeing that he had risked himself with an Gator to bring it back, restored her hope in the guild. She gave him the reward, which he split with Wendy, just as he had promised. He had also asked Cancer for a haircut, to which he complied. His hair was now at shoulder length, instead of mid back how it was before. He had it tied in a side ponytail, with a bang covering his right eye. Laki had congratulated him on a good hair chop, something he found weird since he wasn't used to her speech. His mission with Wendy had been a success, as the had been able to take down a thief who liked to steal from little kids and old people.

The first week had been a blast. He got to know a lot of the prominent members and form friendships with them. Mira told him who to avoid and who was safe out of everyone gathered there. He followed her advice to an extent, but still was able to make many friends. Some of which had gone with him on a few missions. He and Levy clicked instantly. Both loved to read and write, so it was natural for them to strike a friendship, though Gajeel's stares always freaked him out a bit. They had talked about many topics, his Diamond Keys being the most prominent. She had personally asked to tag along when he formed an expedition party. And that was exactly what he was doing. He had payed his rent, and bought groceries. With the rest of his savings, he had enough to go after the next key on the list.

"The Key of the North Star opens the gate of Polaris. In order to find her key, one must have the Shining Star Gate Key and the Hunter's Gate key. Polaris uses Wish Granting magic, making her foes wishes come true, and then taking control of them to attack." he muttered to himself. The book showed a faded picture of what the key looked like. It was just like the other Diamond keys, with star shaped bows and blades, the only difference was the constellation etched on it. He pulled out a piece of paper and his two gate keys, as well as a magnifying glass and started decrypting the runes etched on the blades of the key.

"Hey Alex, what are you doing?"

He looked up, seeing Mira curiously leaning over the bar, reading the paper he was writing on.

"I'm trying to find the location of Polaris's key. In order to find them, I have to use the runes etched on Meissa's and Orion's keys, and unscramble the runes. When I get done translating them, I'll be able to find the location. It was how I found Orion's key. Though it was mostly a hunch and a lot of asking when I located the cavern of the stars." he said.

"Did you ask Levy for help? She might be able to help you."

"She's out on a mission remember? Besides this isn't that hard. Nothing I can't handle." he said with a smile.

"Those don't even look like runes." Lucy said, joining the conversation. He nodded and showed her another paper.

"These are Star Runes. Each rune corresponds to a letter of the alphabet. However, there are 88 different rune combinations, which stand for the known 88 Constellations. You have to use 88 letters, or the Alphabet 3 times, with a few added numbers to equal 88 when needed. Its hard to understand, but with basic Astronomy and an Astrolabe you can learn to use it."

"Astro..what?" Lucy asked.

"An Astrolabe is a tool that can show you latitude and longitude by using the constellations. It can also show seasons, months and time. I didn't think you knew how to use one Alex." Mira said. He chuckled and took his Astrolabe form his pocket.

"Hey, when you don't have a watch, you have to tell time somehow." he said.

"Where do you even get one of these? They must be expensive." Lucy said, looking closer at the item.

"You gotta talk to the right people Luce. If you want to be a good Celestial Mage, you at least have to know basic Astronomy. The study of the stars will help you in the long run, trust me. Especially if you can learn to absorb magic directly from celestial bodies."

"You can do that?"

"Yes, I do it all the time. I can only absorb so much power from regular light. I trained myself to absorb magic from the sun and the moon, but it takes immense focus and concentration. That's why I do it at night, so I can focus on the moon, rather than in the day where I can't look at the sun." he replied. He looked back at the paper in front of him and continued decrypting the runes he had written down. He had gotten the first three words down when a Rune Knight entered the guild. Everyone looked at him as he made his way to the bar.

"Excuse me ma'am, may I speak to Makarov Dreyer?" He asked.

"Of course sir, if you'd follow me, I'll take you to his office." Mira said, leading the man towards the stairs that lead to the second floor. Alex cringed.
"Shit, I wonder what Natsu and Gray broke."

"What we broke? We haven't broken anything." they cried in unison.

"Sorry. I just assumed it was you. After all, you knocked down that clock tower yesterday." he said.

"Tch, that was all Natsu's fault. I wouldn't have to freeze it, if he didn't ignite it."

"That's rich Ice Princess."

"Wanna go Flame Brain?"

"Hell yeah stripper."

And thus, they broke into another fight. Alex sighed and continued his work. He really didn't need any distractions. He noticed Wendy was reading his book, not that he minded.

"Wow, Polaris sounds like a cool spirit. Think she can grant my wish of seeing Grandeeney again?" She asked.

"I don't think she can grant that kind of wish Wendy. She only grants the wishes of those in battle. Its like mind reading. Thing is, she'll use their wishes against them." he said. She nodded in understanding.

"You ever find yourself missing her? Stalwart Fang I mean." she asked, looking at the ceiling.

"I miss her. I miss her a lot. More than you know. She was my rock when I had no one left. It hurt when I woke up, and found she was gone. It only added to my abandonment issues really. But along the, way, I realized she must have had a reason to leave. An important one. If that's the case, then I know in my heart that we'll meet again." he said. Wendy gave him a bright smile, and he returned it with a grin of his own.

"But sir. It was a request directly from the council, you can't refuse."

"I said out. I'll figure out what to do. You tell the council to piss off for me." Makarov yelled. The rune knight from before ran out of the guild. The master rubbed his eyes and got up on the railing.

"Listen up brats. The Council, for some reason or another, decided to start a Criminal Rehabilitation Program, and have chosen us to house one of the many Criminals they have. We must send an escort party to meet up with said prisoner in Era and bring them back here." he said.

"So wait, you mean to tell us that we're going to be housing one of those scum bags?" Natsu shouted.

"Unfortunately. The council mandates it so we must comply, as much as it pisses me off. Erza is out on a mission, so she cannot go to bring them here. As such, I want the team of Natsu, Lucy, Gray, Wendy and Alex to go pick them up. You must be careful, we suspect you might get attacked by other Dark Guild's who wish to free them." He said.

"Hold on old man, we can't seriously bring a criminal here. Especially one from a dark guild." Gray said.

"Sorry Gray, but the council has us by the balls. Its come to my attention that we wont be the only guild with reformed criminals. Blue Pegasus, Lamia Scale, Mermaid Heel, and Quatro Cerberus will also receive a reformed criminal." Makarov said.

"Hmm, Five Guilds, Five Criminals. You don't think..its them right?" Lucy asked. Wendy shrugged.

"Who's them?" Alex asked.

"Oracion Seis." Carla said.

"Oh..but its only Five Guilds, and there's six members. I doubt its them. So Master, when do we leave?" Alex asked.

"As soon as you can. I want you back, preferably by tonight. Remember, these is a criminal we're dealing with. Be on guard." He said. Alex nodded. He packed up his things and attached his keys to his ring.

"Where are you going?" Lucy asked.

"Home, I'll need a few things. If we're taking a train, I want to at least have some sickness pills. I don't want to hack up on that pretty shirt your wearing." he said, looking at said girl's ruffled Camisole. She rolled her eyes.

"Right, guess we'll meet you at the station." she said.

"Bye Alex-kun, see ya soon." Wendy said. He smiled and waved before leaving the guild. Lucy giggled.

"You know, I've been meaning to ask, why is it that you call him Alex-kun? You don't do that with Romeo."

"Uh..that's nothing. I'm just being polite." Wendy said.

"Ahuh, and why are you wearing new clothes?" Lucy asked. Wendy looked at herself. She was wearing an orange halter top, which hugged her developing breasts nicely, as well as a matching pair of jean short shorts and some white sandals. She shrugged.

"Just wanted a change of pace. New clothes help you know."

"You liiiike him." Happy said, rolling his tongue. Wendy blushed.

"I do not." She cried.

"You totally do. Soon you'll be alone together, kissing each other under the sunset. Sharing a nice large fish."

"That's what you'd like to do idiot." Carla cried.

"Regardless, I don't like Alex-kun. We just met after all." She said.

"Ah, so there's a possibility."

"Lucy-san." Wendy groaned in embarrassment, much to the the blondes charge in.

Alex entered his home with a sigh. He emptied his pack of his things and headed over to his room. He wasn't looking forward to the prospect of working together with a criminal, but it was better than have the Master get in trouble with the council. He grabbed a pill bottle from the first drawer and popped two in his mouth, swallowing them dry. He shoved the bottle in his pack, as well as a few snacks. He also packed a set of clothes, just in case he needed them, as well as his Astrolabe. If they got attacked, whatever the reason may be, they wouldn't be completely lost. The last thing he grabbed was a bracelet he had picked up at the guild gift shop. It was blue with Fairy Tail's guild mark in black, all around it. He slipped it on his left wrist and nodded to himself.

"Ready to go." he said to himself. He made sure he had the last few things he might have needed before heading out the door. He made sure it was locked before heading to the train station. He was a bit disappointed that he wouldn't be able to plan his next key hunt, but he did need a little break from the guild.

He reached the station after a few minutes of walking. The others we're there waiting for him, and he ran to catch up.

"Hey Alex, ready to go?"

"You bet. But one thing is bothering me a bit. Its that Criminal. Makes me wonder who they are." he said.

"Who knows? We'll find out when we get there." Gray said. He couldn't really argue his point. They boarded the train to Era after purchasing their tickets. After seeing Natsu's face, everyone in the area left, leaving the entire car to the Fairy Tail mages. Alex looked at the empty car in wonder.

"This happen often?"

"Yes." they all said. He shrugged and took his seat by the window. Wendy sat across from him, with Lucy next to her. Gray sat next to Alex and Natsu next to Lucy. His face was already green, and the train hadn't even moved yet. Carla sat in Wendy's lap, and Happy for some reason chose to sit on Alex's head.

"I've never been to Era. This will be really interesting." Alex said.

"We've been there a few times. Mostly for trials." Gray said.

"I can see why." Lucy muttered. The train blew its whistle and lurched forward, making Natsu groan. Alex signed and dug through his pack.

"What are you looking for?" Lucy asked curiously. He showed her the pill bottle he had extracted from his pack.

"I don't want this dufus to be sick the whole way there." he said, popping the bottle open and withdrawing two pills from within. He forced Natsu's mouth open and threw the pills in, followed by shoving a water bottle in his mouth. He recovered a few seconds later.

"Hey, I feel better. What did you give me?" he asked.

"Motion Sickness Pills. They really work." Alex said, putting the bottle away. Natsu smiled.

"Gihi, take that train. You won't beat me ever again." he said with a loud laugh.

"I think I preferred him when he was sick." Carla said.

"Carla, don't say that. I'm glad Natsu-san is feeling better. He's already built up a heavy immunity to my Troia spell. I can't just watch him stay sick." Wendy said.

"Its alright Wendy. Its not your fault." Natsu said. Alex took her hand in his, soothing her a bit.

"Yeah, your a wonderful healer. Its just a spell malfunction. Its not your fault that particular spell doesn't work the way you want it too." he said with a smile. She blushed and looked away.

"You liiiike him." Happy cried. Alex let go of her hand as if he had touched a hot iron. His face flushed.

"I'm going to get you for that one cat." he said. Happy flew away as he reached for his head. Happy giggled to himself, thinking he won, until he took a Celestial Blast to the head.

"Ow, you meanie."

"Serves you right Happy." Lucy cried. The cat came back, rubbing his head, but otherwise no worse for wear.

"This whole thing is annoying me though. Why would the council decide now of all times to let people of jail. And why pick us of all guilds?" Natsu said.

"Perhaps they feel like we're up for the task. After all, we took out the Seis, Grimoire Heart and won the Grand Magic Games." Carla said.

"Or, the jail could be overflowing with people. Makes sense that they want to clear a few cells up." Alex said. They all seemed to agree at this theory. They all talked about their own theories regarding the matter. Alex remained silent, choosing to watch the landscape and truly enjoy the trip. His arm suddenly started hurting, making him groan a bit. He clenched his teeth.

"Alex-kun, is something wrong?" Wendy asked, concern clear in her voice. The pain subsided and he took a breath.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a phantom pain." he said.

"Phantom Pain?" Lucy asked. He showed her his arm, making his scar visible.

"I've been meaning to ask about that, its a pretty nasty scar." Gray said.

"I got it when I was ten. After Stalwart Fang left, I had to fend for myself. One night, a pack of Timber wolves wondered into my camp, and I fought them off. One managed to scratch me. The scratch was so deep, that it severed a few nerves. As a result, I sometimes get phantom pains that run through my arm. But its only for a few seconds. Nothing I can't handle. It doesn't happen often anyway." he said. Lucy traced her finger over it, impressed at its length.

"Hey, at least you kicked those wolves asses right?" Natsu said.

"No doubt. I wasn't about to get my ass handed to me by a wolf. I sent their asses packing. I was in the woods though, so I had to stitch it myself with Army ants." he said.

"Aw fuck dude." Gray said.

"Wasn't that like..extremely painful?" Happy asked.

"Yes. It was that or bleed to death." he said.

"Well, you did a good job at stitching it. Aside from the long scar, there isn't anything else I can spot." Wendy said, looking closely at his arm.

"Stalwart Fang told me a lot of things that could save my life if I ever got in trouble. Army Ant stitches we're one, and if I needed to find the Polar North, all I need is a piece of metal, a leaf and a puddle of water. She also showed me how to make a water filter out of a sock, a cup, and sand." he said.

"Cool, Igneel taught me a few of those things too. They've helped me out a lot whenever I lose my place." Natsu said.

"What about you Wendy? Did Grandeeney teach you these too?" Alex asked.

"No, other than the stitching method. She taught me how to sharpen a knife with rocks in case I was out of magic and needed to hunt something. I couldn't bring myself to kill an animal though. I always relied on Jellal..I mean Mystogan for my food." She said.

"That was until he took you to Cait Shelter right?" Lucy asked.

"Yup. They took care of me up until I met you guys. I miss them dearly, but I know their watching me from above." She said sadly. Alex realized that her entire guild must have been the one he had heard about, the creators of Nirvana. He felt a little sorry for her, but realized the girl was stronger than she led on.

Alex decided to continue decrypting the message he had gotten from his two keys. It was something to kill time. Using the Alphabet he had created, he continued to write down the correct letters in sequence. Although, with how the train was moving, he couldn't quite get the latitude and longitude, so he would have to wait until he was at Era to calculate it. But other than that, the message was pretty much done.

"Did you finish?" Lucy asked. He nodded.

"Yup, its a riddle actually. The Path is North, the Sky is nigh, only light shall be your guide, your desires strong they maybe. Granted it shall be. Then it gives a set of numbers, the coordinates of the location." He said.

"Damn. How are you supposed to even find her key?" Gray asked.

"Simple. The Sky is nigh, its actually night, but it was written like that to throw someone off. Light shall be your guide, means only Meissa can find the place with her light." Alex said.

"Wow Alex, your really smart." Natsu cried.

"Aye Sir." Happy cried.

"Well, it isn't that hard when you break it into pieces. Once I find its location on the map, I can go retrieve it. You guys can come along if you want." Alex said.

"Yes, I'd like to see where a Diamond Key is kept." Lucy said.

"I will warn you now. This isn't your average walk in the park. When you go in search of a Diamond Key, you are putting your life at risk. I don't like saying it much, but when I went to get Orion's key, I nearly died. I was almost impaled by a falling spike from the cavern ceiling. So if your coming around, don't fuck around. And no fighting. Got it?" he said seriously, though he was mostly looking at Natsu and Gray.

"Fine, we'll call a truce when we search for it. After though, no promises." Natsu said.

"Same with me." Gray replied.

"Of course, Erza will be coming along, so she'll wrangle your asses in before you even throw a punch." Carla said.

"Alex, Um..I have a question." Wendy said, not meeting his eyes.

"What is it?" he asked.

"Well, can I see your scarf?" She asked.

"My..scarf?" he asked.

"Yeah. It looks really pretty, with all those little stars in it. I just wanted to see it." She said. He pulled it off and handed it to her.

"This was a gift from Stalwart Fang. I was really cold one winter, and even though I was close her her and the fire, I still shivered, so she made it for me out of magic. All of the stars on it twinkle at night, and the constellations on it were ones that I added. I plan to add all the constellations of the Diamond Keys as I find them. Aries's constellation was the first one, for obvious reasons. Then I added Meissa, Orion, Aquila, and Caelum. I added Lupus last night." he said.

"Its really pretty. And it has that scaled design Natsu's scarf has. His was given to him by Igneel." Lucy said.

"Really?"

"Yup. The old lizard really liked scarves." Natsu said with a grin.

"I wish Grandeeney left me something like this. Even Gajeel has all those rivets from Metalicana." Wendy said. Alex took his scarf and wrapped it around her neck, making sure her hair wasn't caught in it.

"You can hang on to it for now. I don't really need it." he said. She blushed and gave him a warm smile.

"Thanks Alex-kun."

"No problem, Wendy." he replied. Carla narrowed her eyes at him and he gave a nervous chuckle, finding the floor more interesting.

"Now Approaching Era Station."

Alex gave a happy sigh and placed his things in his pack. The train pulled to a stop, and the Fairy Tail wizards stood up, stretching their tired limbs. They all filed out of the train to the station, surprised to see that they we're the only ones. The whole area was deserted, with only a ticket booth to the very left of the place. The Magic Council HQ sat at the top of a large mountain in the center of the town. Alex had never been to Era, but it looked like a pretty quiet place. He doubted any crimes happened in the large city. Alex swallowed hard, clutching the strap of his pack.

"Anyone feel nervous all of a sudden?" he asked.

"No." Natsu said.

"I do Alex-kun." Wendy said.

"We haven't done anything wrong. Sure the place looks imposing, but we're here strictly on business." Gray said. The older teen stuffed his hands in his pockets and walked on. Alex could only hope his urge to strip didn't kick in.

"Don't worry Alex. You don't have to be nervous. We're here with you." Lucy said. He smiled and followed along.

Tons of people kept asking them for pictures and autographs and what not. It seemed that Fairy Tail was really famous in those parts because of the Games. Alex kept telling that that he had recently joined and hadn't been around for the games, but they didn't care and kept insisting. It was a bit embarrassing, as several cute girls asked for pictures with him and Alex was a nervous wreck around them. They were finally able to reach the HQ, but Alex's face was still red.

"What's wrong bro? Not used to so many groupies?" Gray asked.

"Not..really."

"Did you see that brunette though? Man she's a cutie. You could have scored a call card from them dude."

"I know but..I'm not really interested in a relationship at the moment. Hell, I don't know if I could handle one if it happened." he said.

"I'm sure you could. All you have to do is show her a tongue dance and conquer her heart."

"Pfft, why don't you have a girlfriend then if you can do that?" Natsu asked.

"Shut up Flame sucker, you have no idea how to please a woman." Gray said.

"Dude, you could have a girlfriend at any time. Juvia practically throws herself at you, hell she did throw herself at you. And yet you have to be the cold emotionless bastard you are and tell her to fuck off. I mean damn." Natsu said.

"Oh, what do you know?"

"A lot, clearly." Carla said.

"Guys can we please not argue, I'd very much like it if we calmed down. I don't need to be charged with Disturbing the Peace, or Public Indecency." Alex said, walking forward. Gray mumbled something to himself and started getting dressed again. They headed up to the main doors of the Council building. They stopped at the front desk in the lobby, which was really nicely furbished, with a large seal on the floor.

"Excuse me ma'am. We're the mages of Fairy Tail. We were asked to come here by the Council." Gray said.

"Ah yes, wait right here, I will inform Lahar and Doranbolt of your arrival." the woman said, politely bowing and leaving her desk. Alex looked around, shivering a bit from the AC.

"Are you cold?" Wendy asked.

"Not really. Nervous yes, I mean, we're dealing with a Criminal." he said.

"Oh..I thought you were cold. I was going to give you your scarf back." She said.

"No no, keep it for now. I don't mind. You..look cute with it." he said, looking away. Wendy blushed and hid her face in his scarf.

"Wendy, could I speak with you real quick? In private." Carla asked. The Sky Dragon looked at her partner in confusion but nodded and followed her outside.

"What's that about?" Gray asked.

"Hell if I know." Alex replied. Alex looked up, seeing the woman come back with two men, who were wearing the council's robes. One of them was wearing a pair of glasses, and had his hair tied up in a weird ponytail. He also had a look on his face that made him seem like he had a stick up his ass. The second, seemed more relaxed. He had three scars on his face, but otherwise looked fine, if not a bit happy.

"Ah, mages of Fairy Tail, nice to see you again."

"Lahar, Mest." Natsu greeted.

"Uh, actually Natsu, my name is Doranbolt."

"Right sure." Natsu said, Lucy elbowed him in the side.

"We we're told to come here by our master, to meet up with someone?" Alex asked.

"Who might you be?" Lahar asked.
"Alex Macias, I recently joined Fairy Tail. I'm a Dragon Slayer and Celestial Spirit Wizard."

"Oh, perfect. Another one." the man muttered. Doranbolt sighed.
"To answer your question Alex, yes we asked your master to send a team here because we are releasing one of the inmates under our new Rehabilitation Program. Upon completion of this program, all charges will be dropped and they are essentially, free people. They must be inducted into your guild until that time comes however. Did you bring your Guild Stamp?"

"Yeah, Mira gave it to us before we left the guild." Lucy said, showing him the stamp.

"Alright, if there are no further questions, we will bring her in." Lahar said, snapping his fingers. The two knights that we're beside them left the room.

"Her?" Alex asked.

"Yes. This inmate is a woman, a sharp tongued woman might I add. Fairy Tail has had a few run ins with her. She really uncouth so you'll have to keep your eye on her." Doranbolt said.

"Wonder who it is?" Lucy muttered.

The two rune knights came back, guiding a woman who was heavily hand cuffed. She had long white hair which reached to her mid back. She had a nice figure as well, with big breasts and nice curves. She was wearing a blue shoulderless dress with detached sleeves. She had angel wing tattoos on her collar bone. She had a long feathered skirt, which was more open in the front, exposing her long legs. The feathers followed a straight line, splitting in two paths, covering her breasts, but leaving enough of her cleavage still exposed. She was wearing white and blue feathered boots. Two angel wings we're attached to the back of her dress, making her look like she had angel wings. She had a blue ribbon in her hair, and a little strand stuck up, forming a sort of halo. If Alex didn't know better, he'd have thought her to be an angel. Then something clicked in his head.

"No way." He said.

"We have to take her back with us?" Natsu cried.

"Trust me, I'm not looking forward to it either." the woman said.

"You...your the one that hurt Aries." Alex said. The woman tilted her head, noticing his keys.

"Oh..your a Celestial Spirit Mage. I thought blondie was the only one." She said.

"Well, now that you know who your dealing with, I'd like for you to stamp her with your mark." Lahar said.

"No, I don't want her to come with us. She hurt my friends. I can't even imagine the kind of pain Aries was put through, taking a blast point blank from Caelum. There is no way I'm allowing that." Alex said.

"We don't have a choice in the matter Alex. If we don't do it, its our asses that are on the line. You think I actually want this scum mixing in with our nakama?" Natsu asked.

"Fine. But, I'll stamp her." He said. Lucy nodded and handed him the stamp. He didn't take his eyes off hers as he closed the distance.

"Pick a color."

"White." She replied. He pressed the stamp right over her heart.

"Just remember. This isn't the mark of Family. This mark has no meaning to you. You have to earn its meaning to be a part of us. Just remember this one thing, if you betray us, hurt us, or hurt any Celestial Spirits, this mark, will be my target. I'll make sure my blade stays true and pierces your heart, got it?" he asked. The woman nodded fearfully. He smirked.

"Good." he said tossing the stamp back to Lucy. He cracked his neck and headed outside for some fresh air.

"Um..can you uncuff me now?" Angel said.

Alex took a seat at one of the benches outside. He passed Wendy and Carla earlier, both looking at him with concern since he was extremely pissed off. He rubbed his eyes and took a deep breath. He heard a Gate open and saw a puff of pink wool.

"Alex, I felt your anger back home. What's wrong?"

"We're being forced to accept a criminal in our Guild. Our family has to be next to one of those..I don't even know." He said. Aries gulped. She hoped he wasn't referring to..her.

"Um..do I-"

"Yes." he said, interrupting her. He looked right into her eyes.

"Its Angel of Oracion Seis. And don't worry. I gave her a little threat, so she won't be giving you any shit any time soon. I'll protect you from her. Okay?" he asked. She nodded.

"I'm worried Alex. I've never seen you so angry. Promise me you wont do anything hasty."

"Fine. I promise. I'm not going to hurt her. I'll scare the shit out of her, but that's about it." he said.

"You better not. She may be evil, but she was forced into Slavery. Sure she forced me into a lot bad things, but she told me that she didn't want to be the way she was. Before she regarded me, Gemini and Scorpio as nothing more than magic tools. At least give her a chance." She said.

"Whatever. I'll do it for you Aries."

"Well well well, if it isn't my favorite little lamb. How's it been?" Angel said, patting the girls head, scaring her a bit.

"O-oh..I'm fine Miss Angel." She said.

"Just Angel is fine, I'm not your master anymore." She said. Aries nodded.

"Why don't you go back Aries? I'll call you if I get into trouble." he said. The girl nodded and disappeared in a shower of sparkles. Alex stood up and looked at his friends, most having looks of concern on their faces.

"We ready to go?" He asked. Gray nodded.

"Yeah. Lets go." He said. Alex nodded and withdrew another key.

"Open, Gate of the Chisel, Caelum." he chanted. The gate opened and the mechanical spirit came out. It beeped several times, most likely in surprise at seeing its former master.

"What you call him for?" Natsu asked.

"Just a precaution. Keep an eye on her. She tries anything, blast her at point blank." He simply said. Angel looked at the ground. It seemed getting their trust was going to be harder than she realized.
