AN: I figure I'll respond to a few questions here: First, Grano Onis I do have an idea as to where the plot is going. As for the people showing up is probably going to be RWBY, STQ (Cause Raven's a traitor), the Ozluminati (Minus Lionheart again, cause traitor) and Summer, obviously. Second, CEO160, while I did answer this in PMs I'll put it here as well, These characters are taken from between volume 1 and 2, except for summer, again obviously.
Chapter 3: Black Trailer
"Explain Miscreant." She says, trying to sound powerful, while actually just sounding terrified.
"Weiss!" Ruby tackle-hugs her teammate using her semblance, leaving a trail of red rose petals.
"Ruby? What are you doing here? Did she kidnap you as well?" Weiss asks, trying to pry herself out of Ruby's vicelike grip.
Summer looks quite outraged. "Listen Here young lady, I would never kidnap my daughter." She turns around, shaking her head. "What's the world coming to?"
"I thought you said that Summer was gone?" Weiss asks her teammate turned assailant.
"She's back!" Ruby says, a smile connecting her ears.
"Ruby," Weiss lowers her voice so that only the two of them can hear her, "How are you sure that's your mother? I mean we were kidnapped, what if the white fang is trying to trick us?"
Ruby looks pensive for a moment, the thought only just crossing her mind. "Mom? When you made me those strawberry cookies, you always told me there was a secret ingredient, what was it?"
Summer looks at her daughter, "I never made you strawberry cookies, I told you I was afraid I'd never get you to eat anything else again."
Relief floods Ruby's face, "Well Weiss, I was the only one there when she said that, it's her."
"Conspiring against me with your partner where you?" Summer asks with a chuckle, Weiss's face adopts a hue normally only found on ruby's cloak.
"Sorry, ma'am, it's just, we just, I just had to be sure it was you, not an imposter," Weiss looks at her shoes, wondering, not for the first time, how she was so good at offending Ruby's family but she couldn't get rid of Ruby even when she did want to.
Summer laughs, "My dear, it was the correct reaction, I'm glad you both thought like huntresses." She looks at Weiss with a kind look on her face until she catches her eye, Weiss's embarrassment decreases, somewhat.
"As the leader of Team RWBY, I must always be vigilant!" Ruby proclaims, striking a heroic pose.
"That's why you, of course, checked my identity as soon as you saw me, and didn't burst into tears and collapse in my arms?" Summer asks, teasing her youngest, and technically the only daughter.
Now it's Ruby's turn to blush, and blush she does, she looks away from both her mom and Weiss, muttering 'Not my fault I missed you so much."
"Ruby, as much as I'm enjoying hugging you," Weiss asks, looking at the girl on top of her, "If you and I could get out of such a compromising position before anyone else arrives?"
Ruby laughs bashfully and rolls off her partner, blushing even more. "Got a crush on my daughter do you?" Summer asks, teasingly.
"N-No ma'am" Weiss blushes furiously.
"Summer, call me Summer," Weiss looks thankful that the previous line of enquiry has been dropped.
"Ok, Summer, I'm Weiss," Weiss holds out her hand, "Nice to meet you."
Summer hugs the heiress, "Nice to meet you too Weiss, I'm glad my daughter has such a polite influence on her life."
Ruby chuckles bashfully again and retreats, leaving her mom and Weiss hugging.
After breaking away from Summer Weiss sits next to her partner, "Does anyone know where we are?"
Summer repeats what she told Ruby, "Well, we're in a home theatre for gods, we've been watching clips related to your team."
"Hmph," Weiss snorts derisively, "Gods?"
"Either that or someone with an ego problem who's stalking at least you two." Summer maintains her cool, sitting down next to her daughter.
Ruby wraps her arm around Wiess and pulls her into an embrace, before leaning on her mother again. "What is it with the rose family and intimate physical contact?" Weiss complains quietly, though she just shifts around slightly to get more comfortable.
"Because, Ice queen," Summer starts and Weiss automatically scowls at the nickname, "We know it's the only way to melt your frozen heart."
"Suddenly Yang's mannerism's made sense." Weiss intones.
"She gets it from dad, Mom's just spent too long with him and is picking up his habits." Ruby giggles as Summer jokingly scowls at her.
"Right," Weiss looks disbelievingly at the girl pressed against her, "Can we just continue to watch whatever we're here to watch?"
"If you want?" Summer pretends to look hurt, only to chuckle as Weiss looks saddened again. "Ruby You ready?"
"Sure Mom!" Ruby says, her smile has not as of yet left her face.
"Next Episode!" Summer states clearly.
Blake is looking off into the distance, the red trees are shedding rose petals, and her bow waves in the wind. "It's time." A man says, his face hidden from the camera.
"Ok," Blake says, facing the man, her eyes wavering. She and the man run off, and the camera cuts showing them at the cliffs.
"That man," Weiss says, looking worried, "That's Adam Taurus, he's the person the most wanted Faunus on remnant."
"Why?" Summer asks, confused.
"He's a lieutenant in the white fang. His kill count is in the three-figure range. He has personally stolen a good couple billion Lien worth of dust."
"Wait, since when did the white fang do killing and stealing?" Summer asks, looking warily at Weiss
"Since their old leader stepped down and Siena Khan took his place," Weiss says, in a matter of fact way.
"Wait, if this is about Blakes time in the white fang, why is she wearing her bow?" Ruby asks, confused.
"Guys, you're missing the Video," Summer says.
The two faunus land on top of the train. Once inside they enter a car housing several Atleasean robots. "Looks like we'll be doing this the hard way." Adam looks around at the robots, which have activated and encircled the hijackers.
"Don't be so dramatic," Blake fix her partner with a disparaging look.
"Intruder, Identify yourself." An android's hands disappear, transformed into machine guns.
In response Adam fires his sword at the bot, causing it to recoil. He snatches his sword out the air and slices the droid in half, revealing the pure red interior. The robots glance to one another and hidden blades prime from inside their forearms.
"I see Atleasian robots haven't advanced much while I was away?" Summer asks.
"No! These models are outdated. The newest AK-200s are brilliant." Weiss rants, annoyance plastering her face.
"I see, so the Schnee Dust Company uses outdated models." Summer smirks, looking at the heiress. Weiss in response issues Summer a pointed glare as if to say 'No more questions.'
Dodges backwards, gambol shroud halving two androids that tried to sneak up behind her. The two white fang members fight back to back, during the fight Adam repeatedly sheaths his sword, creating openings that Blake has to cover. Adam repays her by blocking several machine gun rounds with his blade, which allows Blake the time to decapitate it.
She continues her charge, slicing a second bot through the chest, a third is cut down at the legs and a fourth is booted into the ground. Gambol shroud rings with the sound of metal impacting against metal as she cuts through more and more.
The last droid in the car proves more resistant to her, though, and she knocks it into the air with her blows, an advantage Adam uses, he kicks the android with such force that it's sent flying out the door, its wreck lands on a flat car. Blake and Adam follow.
"You can tell these two have been fighting together for a while. I'm sure they'd have made great partners." Summer muses.
"He's a bit older than 17," Ruby says, looking nervously at the darkening expression on her partner's face.
"Let's do this," Adam looks at the newly arrived hoard of AK-130s. The battle on the car is much quicker than the battle in the car, largely due to the fact that both can use their manoeuvrability to the greatest extent. Adam and Blake move in synchrony, each blow one of them makes that doesn't kill a bot puts them in front of an attack made by the other.
With a flourish Adam produces his sword and cuts the final android, shooting it with blush to finish it off. The camera cuts to the inside of a second freight car, which the two white fang members enter. The two walks out of shot and the camera cuts again. Blake and Adam are shown looking into an open crate "Perfect, move up to the next car, I'll set the charges."
"What about the crew members?" Blake asks.
"What about them?" Adam asks, his tone dripping with malice and hatred.
"Brilliant, another murderous psychopath," Summer intones sarcastically.
Adam and Blake try to fight it, but it doesn't go so well. Adam grabs Blake before she is about to be crushed by the droid's legs. "We need to get out of here," Blake looks to her partner in crime, trying to get through to him. The robot, possibly listening to them, activates its main gun, blasting the faunus out of the freight car and onto a second flat car.
"Want, no need," Ruby says, eyes practically burning with hunger.
"I've created a monster," summer chuckles at her daughter's expression.
"Buy me some time," Adam says.
"Are you sure," Blake asks, hesitantly
"Do it!" He says and Blake charges the spider droid. She dances about the mech, never staying in one place for the bot to hit her. Though her attacks do no real damage their rapidity keep the bot focused on her, allowing Adam the time he needs to make his next attack.
The droid starts to charge up the main particle cannon again, "Move," Adam yells, and Blake falls back. The bot's blast is entirely absorbed by Adam's sword, which in turn causes him to start glowing red, along with his hair and the accents of his clothing. He makes a single strike with his sword that releases a massive wave of energy. Causing the bot to disintegrate. Adam starts to make his way back to Blake.
Blake is standing watching Adam sadly. Adam halts when he sees the way she's looking at him. "Goodbye." Blake slashes the coupling between the two cars, leaving those behind the one Adam is on to slow to a halt with a metal screeching. She, meanwhile, fades into the distance as the rest of the train carries onward.
Weiss's face is a battlefield as conflicting emotions appear and disappear just as quickly. She scowls. "Weiss, are you ok?" Ruby asks.
"Ruby, I'm. I'm fine." Even as Weiss speaks her face betrays her as conflicted.
Summer, realising what's happening speaks, "I'm going to get some food, I'll be back in a few."
After her mom has left Ruby speaks again, "Weiss, what's wrong?"
Weiss looks at Ruby, thinks for a second then starts to speak, "It's just, I remember that day. Do you remember I said that my father would come home furious? That day I was meant to fight a Grimm, it was to prove to him that I was able to attend beacon. I was to fight a Beowolf alpha, but he was in such a mood that day that when he came home he didn't want to even give me a chance. He made me fight an armoured gigas, it's how I got my scar. And I keep finding myself blaming Blake for it."
"It's ok Weiss," Ruby looks at her distressed teammate.
"No, it's not, I promised not to do this. I can't judge her, but she made my life hell." A single tear rolls down Weiss's face.
Ruby wraps her arms around her, "Weiss, it doesn't mean anything, you're trying to change and that's what matters, Blake would understand if she were here."
"Understand what?" Ruby and Weiss turn around to see Blake Belladonna looking at them, Summer pinning her to the wall.
AN
Forgive me, Summer being pinned to the wall was written when I wanted to go to bed, as such I wasn't really thinking straight. I have corrected my mistake. Anyway, Yes, I am addicted to cliffhanger endings, yes, I am getting help. Anyway, next time: Blake's status is revealed. Yang meets her second mother and Raven is still nowhere to be seen.
