The five guardians were lounging around in Hay-Lin's family restaurant groaning in pain from their earlier fight. Lillian was sitting next to her sister with a worried expression while Elyon looked at all them with a saddened heart. "You all look terrible." Yan-Lin said bringing them cups of tea. "Hay we're alive aren't we. Oh and thanks for the heads up about for clearly explaining everything. That really helped thanks." Irma sarcastically said face down on the table she and the others are at. "It was that snake guy that showed up again. This time he wasn't after the heart of Kandrakar but was searching for someone." Will said holding a ice pack to her head that was still throbbing from when she was driven into dirt. This got Yan-Lin's undivided attention. "He was after the heart last time?" Will glanced to her to tired to move completely. "Yeah. Last when he held me by my leg I saw him reach for it." She said tapping the heart with her finger.

"Will I would like you to place one hand on the heart and hold the other out while remembering the creature you saw." Yan-Lin instructed and the leader of the guardians did as she was told. The heart of Kandrakar glow and image of Cedric appeared in her open hand. Yan-Lin eyes narrowed at the sight. "That is Cedric. You truly are lucky to have survived." The guardians looked to her in surprise. "Hey grandma. Just who is this Cedric guy anyway. Have you fought him before?" Hay-Lin asked leaning forward on the table. "Yes. He is a very loyal servant of a evil ruler named Phobos." Yan-Lin said. "Phobos?" Will asked as the image in her hand vanished. "Yes. He is the current ruler of a world called Meridian. He seized the throne and Meridian is suffering greatly. The last I remember he was sucking the life energy from Meridian to feed his own power. He was also in search for his lost sister." She said pulling up a chair and sitting down.

"That's terrible." Taranee said putting a hand over her mouth I'm shock. "Lost sister?" Cornelia said very interested in this topic. "Yes he has a baby sister who would have inherited the throne if it wasn't for him. She had great power that he wanted to steal it for himself but was foiled when she was taken away and hidden on earth. We must find and keep her away from him at all cost. For if he steals her power nothing can stop him from spreading his evil beyond the veil." Yan-Lin said hoping that Phobos and Cedric will never find her.

(Meridian)

"So you have determined which is my sister?" Phobia said looking down at Cedric who was kneeled before him. "Yes. I have identified her and will bring her to you as soon as possible." Cedric said standing up. "Good. Forcing her would only make things complicated so take this and wait for her to come to you." Phobos said tossing a green necklace that's pendant was the same sizes the heart of Kandrakar. It had seven points, four going up, two out to the side and one going down. "Take the Star of Threbe to earth. The spell I placed on it will make any who share my blood be drawn to it. Once she has in her person nothing can prevent her from returning home." Phobos said vines curling around his limbs.

A portal opened behind Cedric who this time not revert to his true form. He walked throughout the portal heading to bring the lost princess to Meridian.

"Who's up for practicing? We should at least try to get better before we get our butts kicked again." Will said looking at the others as they walked away from Yan-Lin's restaurant. "Fine but where would we go? I do not want to head back to that tunnel. Just thinking of that place brings the bumbling we took back to me head." Cornelia said feeling a headache return just from the thought. "How about the old bridge that runs over a river. That place isn't to far and hardly anyone goes over there." Taranee said pointing to the east of town. "You wouldn't mind if we came right?" Lillian asked the guardians her sister to be more specific. "Yeah I interested to see this whole guardian thing." Elyon added entangling her arm with Will 's who only smiled as her answer. The action Elyon did caused the other four to feel a bit of jealousy. Seeing this literally lit up a fire in Taranee's eyes that no one noticed not even Taranee herself.

Exiting out the portal Phobos summoned and into a alleyway Cedric instantly used some magic to make his dark robe turn into blue jeans, a white button up shirt, a pair of business shoes, and reading glasses with his blond hair tied up in the back. Walking out of the alley he saw the guardians with Lillian and Elyon walk past him. His eyes narrowed knowing it would just be a hassle to swat away the guardians trying to get to Elyon. "If she is around the guardians swatting them away will be annoying." He thought and smiled as a much easier plane came mind and walked down the sidewalk in the other direction.

Under the old bridge Lillian and Elyon sat on a old truck tier off to the side while the others stood out not to far. "Guardians unite." Will said holding out the heart of Kandrakar. The heart glow and they were enveloped by spheres of their elements. The green sphere broke apart into leaves reveling a physically older Cornelia wearing a teal, off the shoulder, midriff top with long sleeves that form triangle like shape on the back of her hands. A dramatically long, purple skirt that has a slit a on the left side, turquois and green-striped tights, and knee high, high-heeled, purple boots. The red orb explodes into flames showing a older Taranee in a purple, turtleneck shirt that is similar to a tank top. She wears tight, teal shorts over turquoise and green-striped tights. Purple wristbands, and purple high-heeled boots. Her hair is styled into feathery braids around her head.

The white sphere disbursed into a vortex of wind showing a older Hay-Lin wearing a small teal, cropped top with sleeves that curl around her shoulders, a purple, knee-length skirt with slits on the sides showing most of her legs. A breaded cord tied around the waistband. She wears purple Mary Jane shoes with turquoise and green striped blue sphere whirled into water showing a older Irma wearing a teal, slightly off the shoulder long sleeved top with a purple mini skirt that has a slit at the left side. A turquoise and green-striped tights, and purple ankle high boots. The pink sphere faded reveling a older Will in a purple midriff-bearing, cropped top with long, poet sleeves. A teal mini skirt, turquoise and green-striped tights, and purple, high-heeled shin-high boots. They all had small black and light green wings on their backs. They all looked themselves over. Cornelia was enjoying her older look, Hay-Lin her wings, Taranee was flicking her tied up hair with a annoyed look, Irma was stretching, and Will was rather enjoying the log sleeves of her shirt.

"Wow sis you look so pretty." Lillian said now walking around her big sister getting a good look. "Yep." Cornelia answered patting Lillian's messing with her. "I could do without these." Taranee said pulling the ties out of her hair letting fall to her shoulders. "I just love these." Hay-Lin said who already figured out how to fly. "At least its easy to move around." Irma said stretching her arms. "Well we can figure out the clothing part later. Hay-Lin mind telling us how you can already fly." Will said turning to the wind guardian who flow closer to them. Elyon watched as Hay-Lin explained how she started flying to the others. 'They do look pretty and flying must be fun.' She thought as the others tiny wings started to flap a high speeds lifting them off the ground. It was clear for some reason Hay-Lin was already a expert flier with Irma being a close second, Taranee being a little worse, Will being bad, and Cornelia being horrible. The others got use to flying once they figured out how to keep their balance while floating in the air.

Hay-Lin flow effortlessly up into the sky with a tornado flowing her, she flow out the top of the tornado that remained and let herself fall into a nose dice over the river and easily pulled up now flying a inch above the water with the water being blown to the side by her speed. Irma stopped the water in mid before it splashed on anyone. "Okay that's enough of that." She said putting it back in the river. She held her hands out and raised them up causing a huge wave of water to splash down on top of the wind guardian that also flooded some of the abandon area. Hay-Lin popped her head out the next second. She used the wind to quickly blow dry her wings and came zooming up to Irma with her cheeks puffed in annoyance. "What was that for?" She asked hovering in the sir with her arms crossed. "For being a show off." Irma answered with a smirk on her face.

Cornelia placed her hands on the ground blocking out Hay-Lin who was complaining to Irma who only chuckled. She closed her eyes felling something strange. 'I feel somewhat complete.' She thought as she made the entire forest quickly grow up along the riverside and up through the concrete of the abandon corner of the city. Everyone looked around amazed at how beautiful the place looked and how massive it was. "Wow how did you do this?" Will asked see Lillian had already started to smell the heavenly scent of the flowers near a tree. "I don't know. It just felt right." Cornelia said placing a hand on a tree that she could just feel the life coursing through it.

Taranee closed her eyes feeling the sun's raze beat down and the warmth in her body. Before she knew it was flow into air with a aura of fire on her body still with a smile on her face. Once she was a spec in the air to everyone she curled up with her knees to her chest with a ball of fire around her. She throw her arms and legs out with a loud yell and massive supernova came blazing out high in to sky. Taranee hovered down out of the miniature sun she created and landed on her feet. "Um that's not going to kill us right?" Irma asked simply pointing a finger at the ball of fire in the sky. "I don't think so. It doesn't feel like the temperature rose at all." Cornelia said raising a hand to the sky. Elyon just continued to sit on tier she was on watching with a bit of envy. 'Wow. They can do all this only on their second time as guardians that's amazing. It must be nice knowing you can help people with those powers.' She thought releasing a sigh. Will felt something in the air and looked at the sky. Above the ball of fire dark clouds rolled in with the sound of thunder clear in the sir. She flow up and saw the thunder clouds swirl above the city. 'Oh right we were going to have thunder storm for the next couple of days.' She thought as the sound of the thunder beaconed to her.

She closed her eyes and raised a hand to the dark clouds feeling her hair begin to stand up as lightning began to come down. All of a sudden ten different bolts of lightning shoot to her hand electrifying her. A aura of lightning enveloped her body but she felt no pain at all. This continued until the storm clouds stopped firing as if it had ran out of lightning to shoot at her. She absent mindedly descended down to the ground with a sparks jumping from one part of her body to another like a electrical aura. Her hair was being lifted up a bit from the amount of electricity running through her. She took a deep breath and the aura retreated inside her body. She opened her eyes and blow a breath to move a strand of hair from her face. When the hair was moved a spark could clearly be seen. "That was something." Cornelia said scratching head. "Who feels suddenly tired?" Will asked and the other guardians all felt the same. "Let's go get something to eat." Will transformed them back like before and they all headed back to Yan-Lin's restaurant with Elyon trailing behind them trapped in a maze of her own thoughts.

'The things that they'll be doing will be dangerous and they could die. I hope that they will be alright.' She thought and looked at the ground as she walked. "Hey are you okay?" Elton looked up and saw Cornelia staring at her. "Yeah. I'm fine just thinking." Elyon said and Cornelia just shrugged and turned away. Returning back to Yan-Lin's restaurant they found the store owner herself glaring at them with a very unhappy expression. "Is something wrong?" Will asked and Yan-Lin simply pointed to the tv that's in the restaurant for customers to watch while they eat. [A hour ago five weather anomalies have appeared just east of our fare town. As you can see a large forest has sprung up from ground with a large body of water that had flooded part of the abandon area. A tornado can be seen acting as some sort of fence for the phenomenons with what looks like a a ball of fire in the eye of the tornado above the new forest and lake with black clouds swirling above shooting lightning at any unmanned aerial drones that were sent to investigate the phenomenon. We everyone to stir clear of this area regardless of your reasons.] The news reporter said and trailed on and on about the current state of the city.

The guardians looked back to Yan-Lin and smiled nervously wandering how they are going to get our of this. "You let your powers manifest in nature when you used them so carelessly. You must keep your powers under control because if you don't then the forces of nature will rage out of control." Yan-Lin said scolding the girls in front of her. "But grandma we were just practicing and besides it's not like anything incredibly bad happened." Hay-Lin said trying to calm her grandmother's mood. The former guardian simply pointed to the tv that showed a bolt of lightning from the swirling black clouds shoot down another drone that was sent to investigate. 'It's barely been longer than a hour and already their trying to investigate what we did. When people want to know something they really move.' Will thought amazed of how fast the news report came up. "Well it's not like there's anything that can be done about it now. Come on given the size of the power you used to make that you must be starving." Yan-Lin sighed just accepting what they did.

The five sat a nearby table and Yan-Lin brought them some food and sure enough they really were hungry. "Once your bodies get use to using your powers you won't have to deal with the hunger your all feeling right now. "Yan-Lin said receiving a thank you in return. "Hay grandma I've been wondering why are we the guardians?" Hay-Lin asked the question that they have been wondering for a while. Elyon and Lillian listened carefully wanting to know this as well. "The heart of Kandrakar is the one that chooses the guardians. For water, fire, earth, and air it chooses those who's personality matches the element they will control. Hay-Lin you have a free spirit and a joyful smile that can never be brought down by negative events just like the free wind. Irma you have a easy going go with the flow type of nature. You easily adjust to anything like the ever flowing water. Cornelia you are headstrong and stubborn. You never move from your choice once you make one much like the immovable earth. Taranee you are calm yet fierce. Once your temper is lit you are quite dangerous like raging fire." Yan-Lin said and Taranee blushed embarrassed that the fact about her temper. "What about me? I don't see any reason the heart would choose me." Will said looking at the heart of Kandrakar.

"That's because the welder of the heart has quintessence know as the fifth element. The heart chooses someone with is good and willing to give their life to protect those they care for like a caring heart. The lightning you use is just you using quintessence to conjure it." She said seeing Will still looking at the heart of Kandrakar. "Caring until the welders heart changes." Yan-Lin mumbled catching no ear expect Hay-Lin's. Everyone ate the food and saw how late it had gotten and decided to go home. Yan-Lin went her room and looked to a old picture frame she had on her dresser. She stared for a while feeling tears come to her eyes. "Grandma ars you alright?" Hay-Lin asked startling her grandmother a bit. "Oh yes I'm fine." "No your not." Yan-Lin didn't argue. It was pointless with het granddaughter. Hay-Lin walked over and looked at the picture. It was a picture of a younger Yan-Lin and four other girls all smiling like fools.

Hay-Lin noticed the girl in the center had the heart of Kandrakar around her neck and it suddenly clicked in her mind. "Are they the other guardians of you time?" Yan-Lin didn't answer which was a answer all the same. "I heard you say caring until the welders heart changes. It sounded like you had experience. Did something happen when you were guardian?" Hay-Lin asked curious about her grandmother's time as guardian. "Hay-Lin I'll tell you that the things we experienced were never good all the time. Things that I still can't shack even now but I think you should focus on the future you and the others have. Promise me that even when things look hopeless that you'll make sure you and the others never loss hope." Yan-Lin said placing a hand on Hay-Lin's cheek. "I promise."

Cedric opened a glass door and walked into a building hundreds of books staked on shelves. He walked behind a desk and hung the Star of Threbe on a lamp as he smiled. 'Now I simply wait.' He thought watching the poo pulsating green glow.

Elyon sat on her bed watching Cornelia sleep in the bed. "Please be careful all of you." She said gently rubbing her hand. A flash of green was sent through her mind and she could see a green star. She shock her head making the star vanish before she looked out her rooms window. 'What was that?'
