Chapter 4 AFM
Don't own sailor moon….to bad though….
"So what did His Highness want to speak to you about?" taunted Striker from her place beside me during our sparring match a week later, blocking one of my blows with a smirk etched across her face.
I continue with blocking, dodging, and landing blows on Striker without giving into my urge to roll my eyes. "Nothing much, he just wanted to thank me for years of servitude to Kinmoku for many centuries, " I lied, delivering a powerful roundhouse kick to the conniving bitch's side.
She grunted for a second, and then made to return a powerful blow to my chest, but I dodged it.
"Yeah, I'm sure that's all it was about since you're the greatest of us all," Striker said sarcastically.
"It was, though I don't see how that's any of your business," I replied, delivering several punches to different parts of her body.
"But I'm a part of the team, so it does make it my business, Mrs. Alpha Bitch," she snapped, retaliating with a kick to my side.
Holding in a grunt from the impact, I delivered a punch to her face that was followed up by a kick to her chest. Ignoring her cry of pain as she fell backwards, I retorted,"I'd rather be alpha bitch than a traitor to my comrades and the crown."
Striker didn't even wait for me to offer my hand before getting up, spitting blood on to ground. "Oh, but you will become a traitor someday and once you fall off your pedestal, don't be shocked if even Healer and Maker turn their backs on you," she declared, smirking as if she knew something that nobody else did.
I opened my mouth to voice my opinion about her sanity when a voice called from behind me,"Lady Fighter! Lady Fighter!"
Striker continued smirking and jeered as she nodded over my shoulder,"It seems like Alpha Bitch is needed for dirty work again. Let me know about the juicy gossip later, OK? Ciao. " She swaggered off to do whatever the conniving bitch does.
I turned around to face the servant sent to fetch me and asked once they reached me,"What do you need me for today?"
"The king needs to see you immediately!" the servant said to me.
"Ok, thanks for the message" I said with a nod. He bowed and walked away. When he was out of sight, I turned around and headed towards the throne room.
When I entered into to the throne room, I kneeled down in front of the throne, waiting for the king to arrive. I kept my head down until he addressed me upon his arrival.
"Sailor Star Fighter, I need for you to go on the west side of the planet and see about a report of phages terrorizing the town. Then afterward you are to report back here and get ready to leave for your mission."
My head shot up at the second request, "Leave? Why so soon, Your Majesty?" I asked looking at him.
"Do not ask questions, Star Fighter. Just do it." He scolded, glaring at me.
"Yes, Your Highness." I said, bowing my head down again.
"Good, and you are not to communicate with Healer or Maker while you're away either, " he ordered, keeping a straight face while daring me to defy his orders. "You're dismissed."
"As you wish, Your Highness" I said, getting up from my kneeling positiion. As I left the room, I neglected seeing Striker hidden in behind a vase in the hallway with a smirk on her face, watching me.
If only I'd known what awaited me in the future that'll throw my life into turmoil, then I wouldn't have followed orders and had Healer and Maker accompany me.
