Hikari woke up slowly. She snuggled closer to the heat source next to her. Her tiny hands clutched the cloth under her fingertips. She felt whatever her head was resting on shift. Hikari's eyes fluttered open. She blinked as she saw Madara staring at her, looking slightly amused. Hikari's face turned twenty shades of red. She blinked as Madara scooted back, sitting up carefully and gently pushing her off him. Hikari's ears burned. Madara smirked, watching as the girl pulled her blankets up over her head. He pulled them back and leaned close to her ear, "Why so shy?" And there goes the last of Hikari's brain. It just died of an overload of embarrassment. Madara chuckled as she buried her face in a pillow. Madara watched as one big purple eye peeked out at him. He ruffled her hair.

Hikari walked downstairs, rubbing her eyes. Tobi followed her, skipping behind her. He picked her up at the top of the stairs and carried the still tired girl to the kitchen. Hikari blinked in shock. Then she rested her head on his chest. Tobi gently set her in a chair.

Yuna smiled, setting a cup of coffee infront of her sister. Hikari took a big gulp and smiled, "Arigato!" Yuna smiled, nodding at her sister. Tobi sat next to Hikari. "Yuna-nee, we need to go get them some clothes. They can't just walk around in Rai's and towels," Hikari said, blushing a light pink. Yuna nodded. Pein walked in, sniffing the air. "What's that smell?" he asked. "Yuna-nee's cooking muffins," Hikari said, beaming at him. Pein blinked and shook his head.

"We need to get you guys some clothes," Yuna said. She was sitting on the couch next to Itachi. Hikari was laying on the other couch, her head in Tobi's lap. The masked man was rubbing her scalp and hair gently, making her drowsy. The others were scattered around the living room, taking up chairs, beanbags and the floor. Pein nodded. "Hikari you know them better than us, who do you think could go?" Yuna asked. Hikari blinked, yawning. "If Tobi took his mask off maybe, Itachi-san, Pein-sama, Konan-sama, Deidara-san and Sasori-san would be the ones I trust to come and not make a scene. Gaara-sama could come to," she mumbled. Yuna sighed, nodding. "Okay." Hikari smiled sleepily, blinking at Tobi as he stopped massaging her scalp. "Go get dressed kiddo,' Rai said, snickering at the sleepy pout she was shooting Tobi. Hikari huffed and darted upstairs.

Hikari walked downstairs again, tying her hair ribbon into her ponytail and glaring tiredly at her siblings. Yuna laughed. "Tobi-kun, are you going to come with us?" Hikari asked. Tobi nodded, wrapping his arms tightly around her, "Yes Hika-chan!" Hikari blushed a light pink and giggled, leaning back on him. He's so clingy! It's annoying yet amusing at the same time! Katie thought, half scowling, half pouting.

Hikari yawned as Rai drove the car. She was sitting next to Tobi in the back seat. Itachi was in the passenger seat, sharingan activated, learning how to drive. Kisame chuckled, ruffling her hair as she leaned on Tobi. Tobi simply put an arm around the sleepy girl. Hikari pouted at Kisame, fixing her hair. Kisame stared at the pout. "She's too cute for her own good," he finally grumbled. Hikari giggled.

Yuna slammed the door shut, muttering something under her breath. Hikari blinked at her older sister as Tobi helped her out of Rai's truck. Katie walked up. "Hidan wouldn't shut up the whole time," she said. Hikari winced.

Hikari tugged Tobi and Itachi through the crowded mall. She looked around and found a store that sold men's clothes. She sat down on a bench, shooing the two men with her to go pick out clothes. Hikari leaned against the wall and watched them. Pulling a book out of her bag, she waited. Madara looked over at her and shook his head, gathering the clothes he picked out, Itachi doing the same. Hikari looked up as Madara tapped her on the top of head. Hikari got up and put her book back into her messenger bag, beaming at Madara. He chuckled, watching as she paid for the clothes and gave the bags to the two Uchiha. Madara grabbed her arm and pulled her close to his side. Hikari blushed, but snuggled closer to him, smiling softly. Madara smirked at her, keeping a firm yet gentle hand around her waist as they walked. Itachi smirked; he could see that Hikari was attracted to the older Uchiha and that Madara was beginning to feel something towards the girl. He watched as Madara glared at a group of boys Hikari's age as they strolled up to them.

"Well look who it is. The little freak," one said, leering at Hikari. The silver haired girl whimpered, tucking herself further into Madara's side. Madara glared darkly at them, holding her closer. "Leave Hikari-chan alone," he snapped. Hikari blushed as his arm tightened gently around her waist. "Or what? Why would you even defend a freaky bitch like her?" the boy scoffed. "Itachi, take her," Madara snapped. Itachi pulled Hikari to him, also taking Madara's bag from him. He smoothed a hand over Hikari's hair gently to calm the trembling girl. "Listen here punk, Hikari is worth a thousand of you," Madara spat, shoving the kid against a wall. The boy gulped, staring into angry onyx eyes. Madara had promised Hikari he wouldn't use his chakra. Hikari blinked, stunned that someone would defend her and give her a compliment at the same time. Itachi smirked, the boys were now terrified. Hikari giggled. The boys had bullied her for most of her life and now they were about to pee their pants. Hikari watched as they ran off. Madara pulled Hikari close to his side again, nuzzling her hair gently. Hikari wrapped her arms around his torso. "Thank you, Madara-sama," she whispered, nuzzling his chest gently. Madara smirked, holding her tightly against him. "It was nothing Hikari-chan. I meant what I said. You're worth more than them. Come on, didn't you want something to eat?" he said, smirking as her stomach growled. Hikari blushed, nodding. "Y-yes," she blushed as Madara chuckled. The Uchiha pressed a quick kiss to the top of the smaller girl's head. Hikari looked like a tomato for the rest of the day.

Hikari paused as she got ready for bed. It hasn't hurt me all day. Not since the Akatsuki showed up, she thought, turning her back to the full length mirror in her room. She had kicked Madara out so she could change. On her back was a deep, black and jagged scar. The color was blacker than ink, as if someone had opened the wound, before pouring ink into it. What does it mean? Is the one who can save me…is he one of the Akatsuki? Hikari wondered, biting her lip as she looked at the mark. Someone knocked on her door. "H-hang on!" Hikari yelped, swiftly pulling her pajama top on along with the pants. She opened her door to find Madara standing there with a bowl of sliced fruit in one hand and a glass of soda in the other. "Your sister told me to bring this to you," he explained, not looking at Hikari. It was her fault, looking so adorable in a pair of baby blue pajama pants and a shirt that matched with a little cloud and sheep on the front. Why did she have to be so cute? Madara wondered, setting the food and soda on her nightstand. Hikari's small hand grasped his. "A-arigato Madara-sama," she smiled, giving his hand a gentle squeeze. They split the fruit, chatting about meaningless things. Hikari soon drifted off to sleep, head resting comfortably on Madara's chest. The Uchiha really couldn't be bothered to move the girl as she curled up like a cat. He ran his hand over her hair, enjoying the soft texture of the silver strands. Hikari smiled in her sleep.
