At around 5 A.M. in the morning, Mizore woke up, feeling thirsty. Smiling at her baby, she kissed his head and carefully stood to get a drink, taking great care not to wake him. When she entered the kitchen, she was shocked to see that Yukari was there as well, with a cup of water in her hands and was about to sip it. Yukari paused when she noticed Mizore. She smiled. "Hiya, Mizore!" She said cheerfully. "You thirsty too?"
Yeah." Mizore simply answered softly, still feeling tired.
"Sooo...About adopting Harry..." Yukari began.
Mizore immediately woke up at the statement. "I want to do it!" Mizore told her frantically.
Yukari giggled and nodded. "I know, I know." She replied chipperly.
"I actually wanted to talk to you about how I would go about adopting him." Mizore explained. "Will you help me?"
Yukari nodded. "Of course! You can count on me, Mizore!"
Mizore smiled and walked over to Yukari then wrapped her in a tight hug. "Thank you Yukari." Mizore said in appreciation.
Yuakari giggled and hugged back. "You're welcome." After a few moments, they released themselves from the hug.
"Alright, the first thing that you need to know about adopting children is that you have to go to an adoption agency." Yukari told her. "Once there, you meet with one of the social workers and talk about the child you want to adopt, in this case Harry. Then you sign some paper work and then you have a child." Yukari explained. "You get me?"
"I think so." Mizore said, absorbing all the information the witch told her.
"Good, so when do you want to leave for the agency?" Yukari asked.
"Are they open now?" Mizore asked her."
"Hmm...They should be open really soon." Yukari replied.
Mizore's eyes brightened. "If we leave now, will they be open by the time we get there?" Mizore asked excitedly.
Yukari looked thoughtful. "Well, we might have to wait about five minutes, but-" Mizore grabbed her hand and dragged her for the door.
"Let's go!" She said excitedly.
Yukari was dragged along like a ragdoll through the streets while they were still in their pajamas. "MIZORE, SHOWING UP IN YOUR PJS ISN'T A GOOD FIRST IMPRESSION Y'KNOW!"
This caused Mizore to abruptly stop. "...Fine..." She muttered in annoyance, skulking back to the house.
"And dress modestly!" Yukari recommended. After a few minutes, Mizore was fully dressed and met up with Yukari outside, who also got dressed. Yukari studied her friend closely for any signs of indecency. "...I can see your belly. That shirt's no good." Mizore glared at Yukari before grumbling and going back inside. "Nope, too much cleavage!"
20 minutes later...
"There we go, was that so hard?" Yukari asked with a smile.
At that moment, Mizore wanted nothing more then to freeze her in a block of ice. "I went through half my wardrobe and almost woke up Harry." She said flatly.
"Well you needed to dress decently for this." Yukari remarked.
Mizore pouted. "Let's make this fast..." She mumbled. They were finally on their way to the adoption agency after the long delay. Mizore was acting as though it were Christmas. Thirty-five minutes later, they finally made it to the agency. Yukari's head was spinning from how fast Mizore had dragged her.
They made it just as someone was about to unlock the front door. The person turned to them in surprise. "Hmm? Already?" The man mused.
"Yes." Mizore said as she came to a complete stop in front of him. "I would like to adopt a little boy I found."
"Well come on in then." The man replied.
The man opened the door and beckoned them in. "MIZORE!" Yukari shrieked as her friend dragged her in at breakneck speed.
Mizore ignored her, to eager to get this finished so she could return to Harry and tell him the good news. The two girls followed the man to an office, which they presumed was his. "So, tell me about this boy."
"I met him yesterday after I saved him from his walrus of an uncle who put his back on the stove top while it was on." Mizore told him.
The man at the desk froze and stared at the purple-haired woman with an utterly horrified look on his face. "D-Did I just hear you right ma'am?!" The man asked, hoping that he heard wrong and that no right minded person would do that to a child.
Mizore scowled. "Unfortunately, yes. The world's full of EVIL creatures, and this man was one of them."
The man was silent for a moment. "...What happened after you saved him?"
"Well...Let's just say he learned his lesson." Mizore said with a smirk.
He simply nodded, hoping that this was the case. "And who is the child in question?" He asked them.
"His name is Harry Potter, and he's a total sweetheart." Mizore replied.
The man started up his computer and typed Harry's name into the search bar. He frowned and turned to the two women. "We don't have a Harry Potter in here." He explained.
They looked at each other with concern and then back towards the man. "But...He's with us, really." Yukari said, confused.
The man was silent for a moment. "Would you two mind if I were to see him?" The man asked them.
Mizore turned to Yukair. "Do we have time?" She asked.
Yukari thought for a moment. "We're leaving in about three hours, so if we're quick, we should be able to get Harry and bring him here then get back in time to pack." Yukari explained.
Mizore nodded. "We'll be back." She said, rising to her feet.
The man nodded as Mizore left the office, closely followed by Yukari. "I can't believe they don't have him!" Yukari exclaimed, now used to being dragged by Mizore. Mizore nodded in agreement. "I mean, nobody even knew he existed?!"
"...We're going to change that." Mizore told her, picking up speed after she said it.
"EEEEEK, SO FAAAAAST!" Yukari screeched. "I'M GETTING DIZZY!"
Mizore ignores her, to wrapped up with the need to get to Harry to hear the screaming witch. She didn't know she had started dragging Yukari against the sand when she reached the beach. By the time she reached the house, Yukari was buried in a furrow, except for her hand. It wasn't until she stopped in front of the door that she realized what happened to Yukari. She blinked in surprised and let go of the witch's arm. She groaned as her arm collapsed onto the sand. "Um...Yukari?" Mizore called out in concern.
"Dmnyumzre..." Came Yukari's muffled response.
"What was that Yukari?" Mizore asked as she got closer to where Yukari was buried.
Yukari's head erupted from the sand. "I SAID DAMN YOU, MIZORE!"
Being so close to Yukari when she yelled cause Mizore to jump back in shock and hit the door with her back. "No need to yell, I'm right here!" Mizore squeaked.
"Then why didn't you hear me when I was yelling when you were dragging me at full speed?!" Yukari growled angrily.
"I was in a rush-"
"OH GOOOOOOOOD FOR YOU! WELL WE'RE BACK NOW, SO YOUR RUSH IS OVER!"
The loud argument caused everyone in the house to wake up and go to the front door to see what the yelling was about. Mizore was staring at Yukari with wide eyes as she loudly scolded her for causing her misfortune. It was comparable to the infamous Christian Bale freakout, and Gin was recording it with a grin. The last person to come down stairs was Harry, who gotten scared when he woke up to yelling and couldn't find Mizore. Mizore turned to him, and used it as an excuse to escape the verbal onslaught. "Harry!" She exclaimed cheerfully. "How's my little boy today?" Harry gasped happily as he ran over to her. She knelt down and snatched him up the instant he was in arm's reach. "I'm so happy to see you." Mizore told him.
"I'm happy to see you too, Miss Mizore!" He replied gleefully.
Mizore smiled at him. "Harry, I need to take you somewhere real quick." Mizore told him. Harry smiled, trusting her completely and utterly as she picked him up. Mizore then turns towards Yukari and gives her an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry for causing you so much trouble, I'll understand if you don't want to go with us."
Yukari pouted. "You need me..."
Mizore grinned. "Alright then, lets go."
"Where are you going?" Tsukune asked, confused.
"We'll explain later, need to go now!" Mizore said as she rushed out of there, this time not dragging Yukari behind.
Yukari ran as fast as she could to catch up. 'WHY does she have to run so fast?' Yukari thought to herself as she pushed her body to the limit to be able to keep up. Soon they were back at the adoption agency. Yukari had to stop for a few moments to catch her breath. "So...Fast..." She panted. "Can't...Keep...Up..."
After Yukari's breathing became normal, they went into the building, which had more people in it. Mizore's eyes widened. "Please tell me we don't have to wait in line..."
Before Yukari could comment, the man from earlier walks over to them. "Ah, you brought him!" He exclaimed.
Mizore nodded. "Yes, will we be able to go through this now?" Mizore asked him.
The man smiled and nodded. "Well of course."
The man lead them back to his office, while Harry was getting confused. "What's going on, Miss Mizore?" He asked innocently.
"Well, Harry. Were here so I can get custody of you." Mizore explained. "So I would be your new mommy."
Harry looked up at her in surprise. "R-Really?" He asked softly.
Mizore nodded and gave him a smile. "That's right. You'll be mine." She said softly. Harry simply stared at her with his mouth slightly opened. Then, he hugged her tightly. He started to tear up as Mizore hugged him back. Mizore smiled and rocked him back and forth gently. Yukari and the man watched the scene, smiling all the while.
"Let's get him adopted already." Yukari said to the man.
"Right." The man said as he focused on his computer.
Mizore paid no mind to anything but Harry. Yukari had to tell the agency worker all about Harry that they knew. After it was all done, the witch turned to the snow woman with a pout. "Y'know, usually it's the mom's job to go through the interview."
This broke Mizore concentration on Harry and she stared at Yukari in shock. "What?" Mizore asked them.
"I just went through most of the interview for you." Yukari pouted.
She blinked a few times before she realized what Yukari meant. "Oh." was all Mizore said.
Yukari huffed and crossed her arms. "All you can say is "Oh?""
"Sorry." Mizore answered.
Yukari pouted. "Meanie." Mizore smiled and ruffled Yukari's hair. Yukari squeaked and swatted her hand away. "C'mooon, I'm not a kid anymore!"
Mizore giggled. "Maybe, but you'll always be my little, adorable friend."
Yukari sighed. "Well, you need to finish up the interview...You have to tell him why you're qualified to take care of him."
"Alright." Mizore said as she faced the worker.
"All right, Miss Shirayuki...What makes you qualified to be a mother to this child?"
Mizore took a deep breath, knowing that what she says now could determine whether or not she will be able to adopt Harry. "...I love him." She said softly. "I love him with all my heart. I've wanted a child for years, but I can't give birth to one...Then he came into my life, and I'm happier than I've ever been in my entire life." The Agency man listened to her words carefully with his eyes closed, thinking hard at what he just heard. He types a few things on his computer and then the printer kicked on. after taking the paper, he places it in front of Mizore and hands her a pen. Mizore looked at him with sparkling eyes. "Does this mean...?"
"Just sign on the line and he will be officially your son." He told them with a smile. Mizore squealed with delight as she gleefully wrote down her name. When she finished, the Agency worker slide the paper towards Yukari. "If you would also sign this as a witness please?" He asked her.
"Can do!" Yukari replied, happily writing her name down.
When she was done, she handed the paper back to the man. He smiled. "Okay, he's yours!"
Mizore was the happiest that she's ever been as she hugged Harry, who was shakily hugging back. "I finally have a little boy!" Mizore said, excited. Yukari grinned at her Happy friend. She deserved this... And Harry deserved her. They were a match made in heaven.
Minutes later, the trio left the office after saying their goodbyes to the man who helped them. By the time they had made their way back to the beach where the others were waiting, Harry's face was covered in lip marks because Mizore wouldn't stop giving him kisses. The gang looks at the approaching forms of Mizore, Yukari, and Harry then waves at them. Moka let out a soft "Awww..." when she saw Harry's lip mark-covered face.
"So where did you guys go off to in such a hurry?" Kurumu asked them as they stopped in front of the gang.
Mizore smiled softly. "I was just officially adopting Harry." Everyone was silent, absorbing what they just heard the Yuki-Onna just said. The Yuki-Onna smiled widely. "He's my son now!"
At that point, everyone yelled out in surprise. "...Why are you all surprised?" Yukari asked. "Obviously it was gonna happen."
"Well yeah, but not this soon." Ruby explained.
"I wanted him as soon as possible." Mizore said absentmindedly.
"Well I'm really happy that you two are together now." Tsukune said with a smile. "You two look so happy together."
Harry smiled. "I'm happy..." He said softly, blushing.
"Me too." Mizore chipped in as she gave him another kiss on the forehead.
He let out a cute giggle and snuggled closer to her. Everyone smiled, happy that their friend was happy after being sad for a few months. "So, you guys ready to go?" Gin asked.
Yukari shook her head side to side. "We need to pack up real quick."
"Well, make it snappy. We don't have too long before the bus comes." Kurumu said.
Realizing that she was right, Yukari and Mizore rushed into the house and collected all their things. Tsukune and Moka helped. And within minutes, they were outside with their bags, waiting for their ride. "So...you finally got what you wanted, Mizore." Moka said with a smile.
"Yes...yes I did." Mizore said as she gazed at Harry lovingly. Harry smiled up at her, a look of adoration on his face. He couldn't believe that he had a new mother, one that loves him so much. Mizore giggled at the expression on his face. She starts playing with his hair while they waited. This ended up not taking too long as the bus arrived ten minutes late. Mizore smiled at her son. "Are you ready to see your new home?" She cooed.
Harry looked up and nodded happily. "Yes." He looked down. "M-My new home..." He breathed, almost unable to believe it. Not only was he getting a new mommy, but a new home where he will be loved and cared for. Did he really deserve all this? He was a scrawny, little monster that didn't deserve to live. But...Miss Mizore sure didn't seem to think so...She...loved him! While it goes against everything his aunt and uncle told him, he was happy that she loved him and would be willing to care for him. He was slightly confused by his current situation...but he was in no way upset. He was jolted from this thoughts when the bus stopped in front of the group. Mizore smiled and carried Harry onto the bus, eager to show her mother her new little boy. Mizore nodded towards the creepy bus driver before finding a seat She sat with Harry held close in her lap, rubbing his head. When everyone was boarded and sitting down, the bus driver chuckled. "All aboard whose coming aboard." Everyone began chatting as the bus took off. Mizore was content on just holding Harry as the bus moved through the streets. She spent much of the ride speaking softly to him of what her village was like and how much we would love it. Harry was happily listening as she described where he would be living for now on.
There was lots of snow...He liked the snow. It was pretty, just like his new mommy. While Mizore and Harry were talking, the bus driver slowed down the bus for the first stop. "Well, that's us!" Gin said, helping his fiance to her feet. "Later, guys!"
"Bye, everyone." Ruby said with a smile.
Every said their goodbyes as the couple left. Ruby smiled at Harry, and Gin gave him a toothy grin. "Be good for your mom there, hey big guy?" The werewolf said playfully.
"Bye, Harry! I'm glad you have the caretaker you deserve." Ruby said kindly.
Harry blushed and waved at them shyly. "B-Bye..." He squeaked out. Ruby giggled at how cute he was and Gin threw out a peace sign then left the bus, prompting the bus driver to drive on. Mizore turned her attention back to Harry. She continued to dote on Harry as the number of people on the bus dropped as time went on until only she, Harry, and Yukari remained. Everyone had made a point to say goodbye to Harry, to hammer in the point that he was among friends. Both Harry and Mizore appreciated the gestures that their friends made. Harry almost felt like he had an entire family! He felt sad that almost everyone had already left, he really liked them. However, at least his mother was still here with him.
After an hour, it was Yukari's turn to leave. She bid them goodbye and said that she'll come over soon to visit them. She gave Harry a glance. "Bye bye, Harry!" She said with a smile.
"Bye Miss Yukari." Harry said as he waved goodbye.
Yukari giggled as she left the bus. "Bye, Mizore!" She called as the bus left. She smiled, then looked thoughtful. "Huh...Somethng about Harry's kinda familiar...Is he..." She thought back to the legendary saviour of the English wizard and witch community. "...Nah!"
She went into her house and the bus rolled on with only Mizore, Harry, and the driver as it's sole occupants. Mizore smiled at her child. "So do you like your aunts and uncles?" She cooed.
Harry beamed. "Their so nice to me." Harry replied. "There so much better then Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia."
Mizore sighed. "Those two are not your family." she cooed gently.
"R-right." Harry stuttered out in embarrassment.
Mizore giggled. "Aw, you're so cute when you're blushing."
This caused Harry to blush even more. "Th-thank you." Harry thanked his mother. Mizore kissed his cheek and rubbed his face. Harry almost purred in delight from her touch. "...M-Miss Mizore?" He asked softly.
"Yes Harry?"
"S-Since you...a-adopted me...Um...Does that mean I can call you...m-m-mommy...?" He felt Mizore stiffen, and looked up to see her staring at him in shock...before her shocked expression slowly changed to a bright-eyed, overjoyed one.
Her smile threatened to tear her face apart as she held him as tightly as she could without hurting him and began to relentlessly nuzzle his cheeks. "OH MY GOSH, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT, I WANTED A SON OR DAUGHTER FOR MONTHS, AND NOW I FINALLY HAVE ONE, AND HE'S THE CUTEST, SWEETEST LITTLE ANGEL EVER, AND...AND...EEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" She let out a delighted squeal before barraging his face with a relentless series of kisses.
Harry was shocked by the barrage of kisses but enjoyed it regardless. The bus driver chuckled deeply as he witnessed this from the rear view mirror. "Well, someone's happy." He commented. "Not all mopey like you were when you got on the bus to go to the beach."
Mizore took a moment from kissing Harry to look up at the driver. "I finally have the son I wanted." She replied simply. "So of course I'm happy."
The driver nodded. "That's good." The driver told her. "Being sad all the time isn't good for you, so it's good that your no longer in a funk."
Mizore nodded. "Now...where was I?" She continued the relentless kissing. Since Mizore lived up in the mountains, it took a while for them to get to her village. And in the two hours spent driving, Mizore had not calmed down from her excitement. When going up the mountain, Harry stared in wonderment at the pure white snow and the beautiful landscape. Mizore finally calmed down, and settled for holding him close, resting her chin on his head, literally tearing up from sheer joy. Harry looked up and was shocked at her tearful expression. "Are you alright mommy?" Harry asked worriedly.
"I'm just...soooo happy..." Mizore said softly, running her fingers through his messy dark hair. Harry hummed in delight as he leaned into the touch. It only took them a few more minutes to reach the village.
The driver chuckled. "Don't slip on any ice on your way out!"
Mizore rolled her eyes as she got up and led Harry out of the bus, only for her to slip and fall on some ice and fell on her face, luckily letting go of Harry's hand before her tumble. "I warned you." Mizore pouted and got back on her feet, only to slip again and get buried headfirst hip-deep in a snow pile. "And there you go doing it twice." The bus driver laughed and drove off.
Mizore quickly got out of the snow pile and lifted Harry up and looked towards her village. "Well Harry, this is your new home." Mizore said with pride.
Harry smiled. "It's so pretty..." He said softly, admiring the sights. Mizore smiles and gives him another kiss then walking into the village, hoping to show her new son to her mother.
