All right, it's been a few years, but I think it's time I updated this story! Why this story in particular? Well, for one thing, I'm sure most people would be interested in alternate scenarios in which the bad guys win... plus, Gaston is one of my favorite villains, so yeah, I think it's time we got back into it!
Once upon a time, in a fabled land somewhere in France, in a quiet little cottage not too far away from the town and the royal palace, there lived a family of four. Well, three and a half, since the oldest woman didn't consider the third girl that she got from her second marriage blood. Indeed, life was pretty slow for Lady Tremaine since the death of her second husband, which turned out to be a disappointment, even for her. She married the man for her money, and yet, when she squandered it for her two daughters she got from her first marriage, she still wasn't satisfied. Still, Anastasia and Drizella couldn't help themselves as they wanted to show how pretty they can be.
But Lady Tremaine gave a sinister frown as she crossed her arms as she took a walk around the house, inspecting the strawberry blonde girl who only came with the agreement as she seemed to smile as she cleaned up everything. That smile... Lady Tremaine growled to herself as she turned away from the girl. No matter what she did to Cinderella, even when she's down, she always finds a bright side, no matter how many times she tries to break her. Then again, she couldn't really complain. She followed the rules, became very obedient, and Tremaine smirked to herself, knowing having a maid around would be useful.
But still, Lady Tremaine was jealous of her beauty. Not for her, of course, she was well beyond her prime at this point. But she couldn't stand the fact that she was prettier than her own daughters. Which was why she never took her to town with her stepsisters. Even when she ordered her to town on her own. She knew that if she was seen around town with both her daughters and the 'kitchen maid', she knew the bright young lads would be all over the kitchen maid in one second, making the stepsisters whine and complain.
Tremaine groaned as she wondered how in the world she could make both her daughters as beautiful or even more beautiful than that kitchen maid herself. She growled as she gripped her cane in anger as she walked near the door... in which something had caught her eye.
A letter was laying down on the floor, addressed to... her. Tremaine kept her demeanor as she picked up the letter and examined it in confusion, wondering why this letter was on the floor. She then noticed the words below her name that said, "Read alone."
Lady Tremaine was no fool. She had grown up in a civilized home that treated her with respect for years, so she expected a trap. Taking a letter opener in her hand, she opened the letter and pulled out the contents. Tremaine then read the letter in hand.
"To my dear Lady Tremaine,
I have heard about your predicament about you and your daughters and how you seem to be stuck in this hovel of a home. Well, fear not, for I am here to inform you that sometime next week, things will start to bright up. I can't explain now, but if you're curious as to what is going on, meet me out in the backyard at nine o'clock, when your daughters and whoever is in the house is asleep. We have much to discuss. Tear up this letter when you finish reading this. I don't want any unnecessary spies knowing what we're up to.
Signed,
Someone who is trying to help you."
Lady Tremaine looked surprised and curious as she read the letter in her hand. She didn't know whether or not to follow through on the letter as she pondered a bit. Whoever wrote this letter seems to know a little TOO much about her family life... but how did that person even know what she was even thinking. Did someone in town notice her reaction? She frowned as she looked at the letter, not knowing what to trust... she frowned as she knew one thing to do. Wait until tonight and ask for answers.
"CINDERELLA! Come up here and apply make-up for my face!" Lady Tremaine heard Anastasia calling.
Tremaine nodded as she shredded the letter to pieces before going back upstairs, with an intent to keep an eye on her daughters.
It wasn't until later that night, when everyone had turned in for the night and slept (even Cinderella finished up her chores early enough to get to bed) as Lady Tremaine quietly went outside and into the backyard as she looked around. There was nobody there. She frowned as she went a little closer and sat down on the bench.
"Thank you for taking your time to come out here to talk."
Tremaine paused as she looked up at a strange man she never saw before. A black haired man wearing a red shirt and white pants and black boots, with a smile and muscles to back up his strong physique. Lady Tremaine looked a little surprised, before retaining her composure. "Indeed."
"I should probably introduce myself. My name is Gaston." Gaston said as he gave a bow towards Lady Tremaine.
"Lady Tremaine, but you probably already knew who I was." Lady Tremaine gave a nod. "Now, why would you want to call me here?"
"Like I said, I'm here to help you change the future that'll happen if you don't act fast." Gaston said as he sat next to the girl.
Tremaine raised an eyebrow in suspicion before Gaston clarified, "Not to worry, my dear, I'm not selling anything. I'm just here to give you a warning."
"A warning?" Tremaine asked.
Gaston nodded. "You see, I am from another dimension and I've been tasked with an assignment by someone to help change the lives of everyone. Now, before I begin, I want to ask one thing. Do you believe in magic?"
Lady Tremaine frowned a bit. "What kind of ridiculous question is that?"
Gaston raised one finger as he pulled out something from his pocket. "I thought magic wasn't real either... but then some things happened when I got this from my home land. This mirror used to be used to locate people from all over the world, but a friend of mine modified it a little so that it would show what would happen if you keep walking the same path you're going, which is bad for you."
Lady Tremaine raised an eyebrow. "How do I know you're not making this up?"
Gaston smirked as he patted the mirror. "Mirror, show me the future of Lady Tremaine."
Gaston turned the mirror around as it started to glow as Tremaine looked in surprise to see an image starting to play in the mirror. Tremaine took it as she watched.
In the mirror, there was her, laying on her bed, petting her pet cat Lucifer as she seemed to be ordering Cinderella around as per usual. Then the image changed to show her and her daughters, along with Cinderella, gathering around a letter, seemingly excited for something. The Tremaine watching raised an eyebrow. Her eyes started to light up in surprise when she saw her in royal clothing, along with her daughters also dressed in royal clothing, attending a ball at the palace.
"Am I in... the palace?" Lady Tremaine asked.
"Both you and your daughters, yes. You and your family got invited to the royal ball made by the king himself in an attempt to find a maiden that would marry his son, the prince." Gaston explained.
Lady Tremaine gave a smirk as she said, "Well, that doesn't seem too bad."
She looked back towards the mirror as she noticed something odd. "Who is that girl dancing with the prince in the blue dress? Wait... there's something familiar about her..."
The image in the mirror changed as Lady Tremaine's eyes widened in horror. "Wait... what?"
The image then changed, much to Tremaine's horror, of a duke putting a slipper on Cinderella in the same house and taking her out to the palace, leaving Tremaine and her daughters in shock as she growled. As the mirror stopped showing images, she growled as she looked over at Gaston. "What did I just see just now!"
"The future if things don't go the way they do." Gaston explained. "You see, in a week from now, you and your family get invited to a royal ball, which you tried to prevent your kitchen maid from going to."
Lady Tremaine gave a creepy stare as she said, "If I prevented her, how did she still come?"
"With the help of magic." Gaston explained. "And because I showed you the mirror, you can't refute that possibility."
Lady Tremaine paused as she thought about this. "Fair point. But what kind of magic did she use?"
"She had the help of a fairy godmother, who turned a pumpkin into a carriage, and mice into horses... the same mice that she always has around. Have you ever wondered why the kitchen maid always has a few mice nearby... with clothing?" Gaston asked.
Lady Tremaine's eyes widened as she gave a frown. "Now that you mention it... I knew that girl always had a few small pets, but I didn't think she'd give them proper clothing. Oh, I am so going to whip her to remind her who's the boss! And I will be hiring an exterminator starting tomorrow!"
"Hold up, hold up, don't go being hasty quite yet." Gaston said as he crossed her arms. "Yes, that kitchen maid of yours is a very naughty girl, and she does in fact, deserve to be punished. But you do realize no matter what you do to her, she always will get up with a smile on her face."
"That smile will be wiped off when no mice come to her aid." Lady Tremaine smirked.
"True, but just a moment, if you please." Gaston said. "There's a little more to the story than what goes on. You see, she disobeys your orders with the help of a fairy godmother, yes. She dances with the prince and then loses track of time when she has to go back at midnight, when she changes back to her own kitchen maid self. But she leaves behind a glass slipper... which doesn't fit anyone else, just the girl that wore it."
"What are the chances?" Lady Tremaine crossed her arms.
"You figured it out the same day you got the announcement and let your daughters know that there is still a chance And, not wanting to take any chances, you lock the girl up in the highest tower." Gaston explained.
"But that failed because of the mice." Lady Tremaine guessed. Gaston nodded. "Maybe hiring an exterminator is too kind. Cover everything they touch in rat poison, that'll have them keel over."
"Now do you have a better idea of what's about to happen?" Gaston asked.
"I believe I do. I'm offered a chance to live up in the palace, with one or both of my daughters marrying the prince, but then the kitchen maid, Cinderella, comes in and takes it all away from me!" Tremaine growled. "I knew I should have just poisoned her when I had the chance, like I did her father! What do I have to do to make this future better?"
Gaston smiled as he crossed his arms. "A friend of mine and I formulated a plan when I learned about this happenstance. I have a way to make sure everything is fine, but there is a catch. I want to have that kitchen maid of yours?"
Tremaine raised an eyebrow in suspicion. "Why would you want Cinderella?"
"Think of it this way. In that palace, you and your daughters will have hundreds of servants tending to you at every will... not just one. And really, what are you going to do with that maid once you're in the palace, hm?"
Lady Tremaine thought about it as she looked at Gaston. "You have my attention. What's your plan on changing my future?"
"My friend is already taking care of the magic aspect, making sure to 'off' the fairy godmother so she won't interfere with the plans. But the rest is simple. Just follow what I say and you'll be living it up in no time!" Gaston smiled.
Lady Tremaine leaned closer as Gaston whispered in her ear. As Lady Tremaine gave a sinister smile, thinking about the plan, Gaston was thinking about how exciting it would be to get his first woman for his harem...
And that's it for now! Again, if you guys have suggestions for Disney girls for Gaston's harem, leave them in the reviews below! Next time, we'll see what Gaston's plan is to give Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters their deserved happy ending! Tune in next time!
