Natsu made his way up Mt. Hakobe; some Vulcans had been causing trouble to traveling salesmen. It's been only a day since the incident with Lucy. But what was that? How did her dream become real?
He reached the area that was supposed to be the ambush ground the Vulcans were using. He was met by fifty dead bodies of Vulcans. Instinctively Natsu activated his magic and crept closer. Did someone beat him to it? There was a slight chill, not from the weather but the chill you got from impending danger. Natsu jumped sideways as magic came at him.
It was a type of dark magic, shadow controlling. He fought someone similar awhile ago, but was transparent that this user was much more skilled. He barely was able to dodge to incoming attacks. Natsu took for cover.
"You've done well to help that girl." A voice echoed from all directions. Girl? Did he mean Lucy?
"What do you know about Lucy?" Natsu yelled back at the voice. There was a moment of silence before the unknown attacker spoke again.
"Natsu, go to her. Before Aeon does." The voice warned.
"Aeon? Who the hell is Aeon. Or you! Show yourself!" Natsu yelled.
"I am the Immortal Ghost James Naver, wielder of darkness, and ally to Natsu." James said. The chill Natsu felt dissipated and Natsu came out of cover.
Natsu hurried back to the guild. When he arrived he looked around franticly for Lucy. Leafman came up to him, "What's the matter?"
"Where's Lucy?"
"She's at the girls' dorm talking to Erza" Leafman said reassuringly. Natsu took a deep breath.
Makarov sat on the counter with his pipe, Natsu looked over at him, "Hey Old Man, Ever hear of 'James Naver'?"
Makarov paused, "He was a Dark Mage around six-hundred years ago, and he created what's known as Shadow Magic; why do you ask?"
"I fought a guy up in Mt. Hakobe, called himself, the 'Immortal Ghost'" Natsu said, upon hearing the title Makarov dropped his pipe and his face went pale.
"The Immortal Ghost is an assassin that assassinates high class mages in the most revolting way possible. After they fight him, he flees and his targets fall into paranoid delusions and commit suicide." Makarov stated.
"He said he was my ally."
"Ally for what?" Makarov wondered.
