Magnus' POV
I was following behind the group whispering my naughty thoughts and laughing as Alexander turned beet red. Turning my head to whisper a new kinky thought I was surprised to see he was no longer next to me. I swiveled my head around, frantically looking for him. I finally spotted him over near this family fighting. They looked seventeen at the oldest with a six month baby boy. They kept almost dropping him during their fight. The woman even shoved the boy into the young guy's arms before smacking them both and storming off. I growled and strode over to them.
"Why the hell does it matter if he's a Shadowhunter? Bitch!" The man screamed after her.
I heard Alec growl and made my way over to him before he could chase after that woman and kill her. "Alexander calm yourself. It infuriates me too but we can't go around killing every ignorant mundane." Alec sighed and rested his head on my shoulder in an unusual public display of affection. I petted him as if he were Chairmen. The fact that a woman would ditch her child, a life she brought into the world, made my blood boil. Just because he's got Shadowhunter blood. It's despicable.
Alexander and I have been wanting to adopt a baby for a while now. I've wanted a little child of my own for some time. Hundreds of years I've seen my friends fall in love, get married, have kids, and grow old together. That had never been something I've wanted until I met Alexander. He's my present my future, the sun my orbit circles. Ever since he stepped into my life I haven't been able to get him out of my mind. That's how I realized he was going to be the one my kids, adopted of course, call daddy. The one I'd hopefully marry someday.
The young man approached us slowly. "H-hello Sirs, I'm sorry you've had to see that. My girlfriend's just upset. She had no clue I was a Shadowhunter until our son got really sick when he was only two months and that his blood type didn't match anyone elses'. His blood wasn't clotting properly. My blood was only a partial match. The Shadowhunter aspect of it. They had to mix it with hers because they have partly the same type. She's hated him ever since. I don't think I can take care of him on my own. Here you take him," he said then ran away.
Alec was carefully holding the baby like I imagine he used to hold Max when he was young. I looked closer at him and saw tears streaming down his cheeks and a smile he usually only showed me on his perfect face. He bounced up and down which caused the baby, who needs a name, to grin showing off his one tooth. I chuckled and rubbed his cute dark locks.
"What should we do now?" Alec asked looking down at our new bundle of joy fondly.
"I'm no expert on kids but name him would be a good start," I answered with a questioning undertone. I honestly knew next to nothing on children.
"Yeah that would be good. We also need to get him some warmer clothes and other necessary baby items." Alec responded. I nodded in agreement.
We started walking where we had originally been headed once I magiced up a warmer outfit for him. "Johnathan," Alec blurted at the same time I said.
"Raphael."
We looked at each other and started laughing. "Johnathan Raphael Bane-Lightwood. That has a nice ring to it," I said thoughtfully.
"Really my last name?" Alec asked all blissfully.
"Yes you dork. He is a Shadowhunter after all." I said cheekily. Alec giggled, yes giggled he's my giggler, and kissed my cheek. We continued happily to the Hall of the Accords knowing that our lives are only beginning to change.
