The house was so quiet Toni could almost forget that there were children running around and that was highly disconcerting. Quickly Toni finished putting away the rest of the groceries and went searching for the boys. She found them in the Livingroom. Adam had plopped the angels onto the couch in front of the electronic babysitter and had sank exhausted into Toni's armchair.

Toni sighed, at least they were quiet and occupied. She glanced at the TV, it was playing a Disney movie. Toni wasn't really surprised, if there was one thing you could always find in the Rosewood home it was a Disney movie, even after all the children had left. Michael was watching the movie, entranced, while Lucifer was busy mocking his brother. It was all so very domestic, it made Toni's stomach twist uncomfortably and brought back far too many memories. Toni turned silently on her hell and headed to the attic.

The attic was Toni's safe space. It was a huge and despite the clutter rather spacious with a large square window that led out onto the top of the porch with the children of the Rosewood home had treated like a balcony. Toni remembered many a night climbing out onto that balcony and then up onto the roof with her sisters to watch the stars. Toni collapsed onto the purple chaise tucked into one of the upper corners of the room, untouched by the light coming in from the window. She didn't want to think about her sisters, but now the thoughts came to her mind unbidden. There was Abby, Abigail Blood, the only blood relation Toni had ever known. Abby was Toni's identical twin and yet they were so unbelievably different. Abby had been sweet and motherly, she guided people through life. She'd worked for the school newspaper as an advice columnist. Toni had also worked for the school paper, but as an editor. That had always been Toni's thing, still was, the whole working behind the scenes going unnoticed by everyone. It was why she'd been so surprised when Adam had started to pay attention to her. Celeste had warned her that he was bad news of course.

Celeste, she hadn't been related to Toni and Abby by blood, but she might as well have been. She was older than the twins, a lot older, but she'd looked out for the pair until she had aged out of the system and left the Rosewood home. She had stayed in contact with Toni at least.

Toni laughed pathetically at herself. Nobody stuck around past the age of eighteen. She had been the only one to stay, it was the only reason she'd wound up with the house.

Toni bounced to her feet and began to pace. She was glad Adam, Michael, and Lucifer weren't staying. She couldn't afford to get attached. The last time she'd gotten attached to Adam things had ended badly for everyone involved and even a few people on the sidelines.

Toni kicked one of the trunks that were dotted along the attic floor. The lid flew open revealing an old portrait of Mr. and Mrs. Rosewood, painted before they built the house and took in every misguided child they could find.

Mr. Rosewood was a tall handsome man with dark hair and big blue eyes. Mrs. Rosewood was a beautiful woman with long brown hair and eyes like twinkling stars, around her neck was a string of pearls, the same pearls Toni had tucked away in her jewelry box.

Toni dropped to her knees next to the trunk and put her hand on the golden frame of the painting. Abby had given Toni love and loyalty, but the Rosewoods had given Toni everything. She was so afraid of failing them.

"Toni." Toni shot to her feet and whirled on Lucifer, her curls flying. She was surprised to see Lucifer standing in the attic doorway, haloed by the light of the hallway, his wings clearly visible. How had he even known how to find her?

"Where are Adam and Michael?" Toni asked, waiting for her heart rate to slow down. Her shock had caused it to pound in her ears.

Lucifer made a face, "still watching that dumb movie downstairs."

"Hey, watch what you say about Lion King, there are people who will fight you about it." Toni had known quiet a few.

Lucifer shrugged. "Whatever, what are you doing up here? It's dusty." He complained.

Toni turned back to the painting and carefully closed the trunk again. "Nothing important. What are you doing here?"

"I'm hungry." Lucifer declared.

Toni tried not to laugh at the brazen attitude all kids seem to possess, even if they were thousand-year-old angels. "You just had breakfast and it's not even noon yet."

"I'm hungry." Lucifer repeated.

"Alright. Alright. Let's see what we can scrounge up for lunch." Toni walked to the doorway and scooped Lucifer up, like she would with any small kid. Lucifer froze, shocked at how casually a mortal had picked him up. "We got all sorts of sandwich stuff and mini O's." Toni hummed as she walked down the stairs. She took a different route to the kitchen than the one Lucifer had seen before, but he was too stunned to notice. Something must have been really wrong with humans for them to touch him, they were supposed to be afraid of him. Toni knew who he was so why was she not afraid?

Toni entered the kitchen and set Lucifer gently on the counter. "So, Luci, what'll it be?" She asked.

"You touched me." Lucifer said slowly, finally breaking out of his shock.

Toni rolled her eyes. "Well yeah, it was just quicker that way, but hey if you have such a problem with it I won't do it again." Lucifer eyes Toni suspiciously but she just kept moving about the kitchen unfazed by Lucifer's scrutiny. She made Lucifer mini o's and meatballs for lunch and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for Micheal who had hurried into the kitchen upon hearing there was food.

Toni smiled and leaned back against the counter. The little ones were not at the table scarfing down their meal. Apparently when it came to food being a child won out over being an angel. A sudden thought struck Toni.

"Hey, would you guys mind if I wrote a guide book?"

"About what?" Micheal asked, though the look in his eyes said that he had a feeling what she was getting at.

"You guys."

"Why?" Lucifer grumbled.

"Because I'm kind of obsessed with guide books and it would be interesting to note all the different stuff we find out about deaged angels. And it's as much for me as for you guys, I mean what if another angel somehow winds up deaged it could help them."

"How would the angel find it?" Lucifer asked, eager to poke holes in Toni's justification.

"I'd post it online as Supernatural fanfiction."

"You read the Winchester Gospel?" Micheal asked in surprise.

"What's the Winchester Gospel?" Toni wondered.

"The book series Supernatural. It was written by a prophet of our father so that when the apocalypse happened their story would be told."

Toni blinked. "You're telling me Carver Edlund was a seer? Like the oracle of Delphi?"

Michael scowled. He still couldn't believe the popularity of pagan gods. Lucifer just thought they were pretenders to the throne.

"While he did receive visions from Father Chuck Surley was nothing like the charlatan of Delphi." Michael responded coldly.

Toni's heart pounded in her chest. Few people knew that Carver Edlund's real name was Chuck, even when the con had gone down he hadn't revealed his real name. Quietly Toni slipped out of the kitchen and headed for her office, she had some phone calls to make. A lot of phone calls.

I do not own Supernatural only Toni and Abby... and I get more and more unhappy with this with each chapter I write and rewrite, but here it is chapter four...
