Hey guys I found this ready to go, and even though it's been a long time, thought I'd update. I finished it and revised it, so if it seems different than the story line, thats why. I'm also now abandoning the storyline of the anime.
So, there are warnings, stuff in here has made it MA, and subjects that might disturb readers and their view of Death Note, which I sadly do not own. So beware and I wish you happy reading. OOC WARNING! ~HSS
As for power, those who have it, thrive for it, and it soon gives them a godlike feeling. Most humans depend on the power they have, and soon grow into a relaxed state with it. Humans feed on power, and those without it soon are crushed under the amount their superior has.
"So you're going to kill him?" Aurora was standing as she gazed out the window.
"Yes, problem?" Light glanced up at her from where he was leaning over the Death Note.
"Yes, huge. They're the FBI. They are in a word, unpredictable."
"Do you have dealings with them?" Judas snorted from where he and Ryuk were playing Mario Kart. "Uh, duh. They almost caught her once. She was lucky." Aurora shrugged.
"It wasn't that close. Your exaggerating." Light waltzed over to her.
"Has L ever tried to find you?" The 19 year old shook her head.
"I don't think so. At least I hope not." Light nodded and sat down in his chair.
"I hope so too. Aurora?"
"Yes?"
"I need you to do something for me." She bent down in front of him, her eyes widening as he whispered in her ear.
"Touta."
"Aurora? Why are you here?" The young woman walked closer.
"To apologize. But, also to talk. Is that ok?"
"Yeah, sure. That's fine." Both walked on, passing signs and well lit restaurants, each window reflecting them.
"So, what's up Aurora?" She sighed and brushed her bangs out of her face.
"We've been growing apart, and I... I hate that I'm losing you. I know that I tried to break us up, and for that I'm truly sorry. We had been together for three years and, that's not something I want to lose. If you'll give me another chance, even if it's just us being friends, I'd like to take it." They had both stopped walking, Aurora looking at Matsuda. The man twisted his hands together before nodding.
"I, I don't think we can have what we had before, but I'm willing to try as friends. You're a truly wonderful person to have around." Aurora bowed her head so that he couldn't see the guilt in her eyes. "Thank you, Touta. I will value our friendship."
As Matsuda walked away, Judas drifted over to her.
"You seem worried about something." Aurora shrugged.
"I don't know Judas. I truly don't know what to do."
"Do about what?"
"What I just did. I should feel awful that I just deceived Touta, but I don't, really."
"Well you have changed. You're not that scared little girl that thought you were going to hell just because you killed. And that's not what I meant. Something else is bothering you. Tell me. Now." The woman played with her hair as she started walking again.
"It's Light. He's changed, and I get a mixed signal from him. Sometimes, he scares me."
"Do you want me to kill him?"
"No! I need you. I'd rather die at your hand then live without you." Judas crackled at her.
"So if Light was going to 'Kira' you..."
"I'd want you to kill me rather then you dying." The figure gave her a soft nod, before bowing at her mockingly.
"As you wish princess."
"Keh. So she clings to you." Ryuk crossed his arms.
"This is bad Judas." The cloaked figure nodded.
"Don't you think I know this? The old man will have my head. I've even been in the human world for over nine years."
"So, do you think you'll be able to do what you want to do what you've planned to do with her?" "Possibly. I am going to try."
"Where does Light come into this?"
"You'll see."
"Light?" Aurora walked closer to the boy, no, man, that held her captive in more ways than one. The male turned around to let her see the red eyes and the look on his face.
"Light?" He laughed, so dark and cruel that it sent shivers up Aurora's spine.
"Light, what happened?" He looked at her, and started to make his way over to her.
"I did it." Aurora took a careful step back.
"Did what?"
"I figured how to use the Death Note to do more than kill." Aurora shrugged.
"Oh, that's it? Ok." She then walked over to his bed, not noticing his glare aimed at her back.
"That's it, is it?" He walked closer to her and stood behind her, his breath ghosting on her neck.
"You seem so.. unimpressed." Aurora froze, her skin prickling.
"Well as I've told you, I've had my Death Note for about nine years. And I did that nifty little trick with Lind L. Tailor." Light placed a hand on her shoulder, the pressure making her wince.
"You didn't tell me this, why?" Aurora narrowed her eyes before whirling around and knocking off his hand.
"And play all my cards? No. I may not be the best at chess, but poker and card games... I always win." She pushed him away and grabbed her purse.
"You played your card Light. Now it's my turn to play mine." Light reached out and grabbed her arm tightly.
"Where do you think you're going?" His voice had turned dark and ugly. Aurora once again shook him off.
"I have someone I need to see. Besides, you haven't perfected you're little game. Don't worry though. I'll be back." She left, knowing exactly what card her would play when she retuned, her bruises on her neck pulsing.
"Light, are you sure you won't get caught?" Aurora was laying on his bed, playing with a bracelet. "Why? Worried about me?" He smirked, loving the way she flushed.
"No! I just don't want to go to jail or be executed because you got caught." Light nodded, before grabbing an envelope.
"You stay here." Aurora shook her head.
"No, I need to a fruit place and get Judas more plums. Besides, I feel like I'm going crazy just staying in your room twenty-four seven." Light sighed.
"Don't get into trouble." Aurora shrugged.
"I have Judas, of course I'm going to get into trouble. Speaking of which, what do you think about the Kira case, and the investigators?" Light sat down beside her, putting a hand round her neck.
"I think that they will be more annoying then anything else. But luckily, I can always hack into my dad's files if I need to."
"Yeah, yeah." As Light got up, he turned to face her, his eyes rooming her figure.
"Aurora? Don't try anything." She smiled lazily.
"No promises."
1/27/16Thank you for reading. After I post this, I think I'll go back and revise the other chapters of this story. Rereading this, I feel like its so different from how I write now. But anyways, thanks again and have a good morning/afternoon/evening/night.
