When they reached the Big House, They walked to his room once there Chiron pulled the figure to one side and pulled down the hood revealing Blonde wavy hair, sly looking eyes and a white shimmering scar down the side of his face.
"Luke!" Chiron exclaimed and pulled the startled demigod into a hug before wondering how he escaped Elysium.
"Hi Chiron" Luke said awkwardly
"What are you doing here; you're supposed to be dead?"
"I was, but I can't say anymore, my patron is a very powerful person. Someone I don't ever want to cross."
"Fine but i hope you know what you're getting yourself into" Chiron Warned
"I do She gave me immortality."
"Di Immortals!" Chiron cursed "No wonders your back."
"Guess you'll have to get used to me being around then, in the underworld I had time to think about my choices, im not angry at the gods anymore, it seems like Percy did keep to his promise." Luke explained, trying to ease the tension in the air. Suddenly, he pulled his hood up as he noticed Odi, Alex and Jodie walking back with Percy answering their questions. Leaving more questions than they had in the first place
"Well I better get these Guys settled in the Hermes Cabin." Percy told Chiron. "What about this one?" he said while eying him suspiciously.
"Theres no need I'm about to go now" Luke said, grateful that his hooded jumper could also mask his voice.
"Theres really no need, why don't you stay in the Big House, Plenty of room, and what were you planning on doing now you are back?" The question threw Luke, all he had wanted was to be alive again and now that he was given his second chance, he had no idea what to do with his life. When he did not answer, Chiron smiled.
"You can have the second floor room on the left, now if you don't mind, I have an archery class to teach" with that he trotted off to the archery range.
As they were finally alone Odi took the moment to ask Luke a question that had been on his mind "Who is your Patron and what does she want? Why is she interested in me?"
"I don't know how much I can say but I think I can tell you who she is."Luke stopped and craned his head to hear rumbling of thunder but silence. "Are you familiar with Primordials?" Luke questioned
Odi shook his head and Luke Explained "The Primordials are a race of Gods Older than the Titans, the most heard of Primordials is Gaia, Primordial of Earth and Land. My Patron is one of these and she came to me and made me an offer I could not refuse, Immortality. My Patron is Nix, Primordial Goddess of the Night/Darkness." As for why she is interested, I have no clue and I don't think you would want to find out." Odi tried swallowing that particular piece of information.
"You better start running to the Hermes cabin, and get sorted in, dinners gonna be start soon". With that, Luke walked away to the big house. As son as he got in he asked to the windows and closed them and drew the blinds. When is was all dark, except for a tiny thin stream of light he crossed his legs and closed his eyes, looking for a tiny dark string tied to his 's Influence. He whispered in Ancient Greek, quicker and quicker until it became a lured hum of words and the darkness collected together on one side of the room and deposited a shape of women.
Her clothes were as dark as Obsidian seemingly weaved from the darkest of night, her Hair was as black as a ravens feathers and her skin was as white as polished marble. Her eyes were cold as ice and the colour of space. She was beautiful and regal, but her eyes held no emotion and her smile curved into a frown after being distastefully summoned. "I assume you have a perfectly good reason summoning me here" her voice was sharp as blade and accusing.
"Yes, my Lady, I was wondering to see if you have other tasks for me before I leave to start my new life?"
"Yes, stay here and protect him my champion"
"You said I was free to go!"
"You are…but think of this as a favour to a friend, to help you match what Odi proberly will be fighting, I will give you my blessing."
"Your blessing?"
"Yes, you would be the first demigod ever to receive it and you would recive a new identity, your hair will become black instead of blonde, your eyes would remain blue but you would become a lot more muscled and also shadow travel. Along with some other benefits." You will be Odi's brother in everything but blood. Do not disappoint me Luke she said sternly.
"Thank you my lady" Luke replied awestruck
Kneel and close your eyes, my champion." Nix suddenly started chanting in an ancient language, picking up speed with each sentence, Luke's heart raced fast and faster. Each word fell on his ears like a drumbeat, the rhythm rose and fell, like a giant drum but all of a sudden it stopped and his blood chilled to ice in his veins.
"Rise Luke and open your eyes." Tentatively, look opened his eyes a fraction and a bright mirror stood in front of him, his jaw dropped with what he saw, His hair was coal black but his eyes the brightest blue, his facial muscles were more defined and his scar was gone, his cheeks were more prominent like Odis he could see the old him but was entranced by his body, his chest was toned and tanned, which struck him as odd because Nyx was pale but he threw the though out of his head and focused on his eyes.
"You look like a true champion of a primordial, Luke"
"My Lady…." Said Luke in awe. "Thank you"
"Don't call me Lady and give me a hug". Luke's eyes widened in surprise, wondering why Nyx was nicer after his transformation, He steeped forward and embraced the primordial and was stunned by how normal and human she felt. Maybe it had to be about his new transformation, now he could go back to camp. He could finally go home.
"You have done well Luke but there are troubling times ahead, they will put you to the test but if you stay true to what you believe in you will get through them and remember, im always watching." She said as she faded into shadow
"What do you mean troubling times?"
"Go back to outside and find Odi, I will be watching".
Luke cried in frustration and kicked the floor but walked outside and bumped into ….
"Annabeth?" Luke whispered before he realise what he'd said.
Annabeth looked up confused, her eyes widened when she saw him but he quickly avoided her eye.
"Do I know you?" Annabeth questioned
"I don't think we've met, my names Mark" he thrust out his hand and she took it slowly
"My names Annabeth" Annabeth answered, He broke the silence.
"Well I have to be going now, need to say hello to a few people i came here with" and with that he started to walk away leaving Annabeth wondering where she had seen him before.
(Line Break)
Odi was in awe how all of this was hidden from non-demigods, Mortals he had heard Chiron call them. He was still buzzing with questions, but knew they would be answered in time. They had finished the tour of the camp but Odi swore there were more things to cover, like ;Making your own weapons and armour(magic or non-magical),fighting in the arena(this was giving Odi a horrible feeling in his chest, just like his dream) and that there were Pegasi here. All this was floating around in his head as Chiron finished their tour, leading them back to the Big House.
"Well we will settle you into the Hermes Cabin and dinner is at the Pavilion, please be carful how you greet them" as Annabeth walked to Chiron.
"This is the new camper then?" she asked, Chiron nodded
"Please make sure he doesn't come to harm in the Hermes Cabin", it was Annabeth's turn to nod this time.
"I'll make sure he doesn't get into trouble". And with that she tuned to Odi "I hope you know about the Gods now"
"Chiron was quite specific, I'll be staying in Hermes until im claimed, won't i?" Annabeth nodded, surprised by his almost instantaneous grasp of Camp.
"Yes, we're here now" and with that she knocked on the door and a set of twins answered.
"Hi" the first one said
"We are" said the second one said
"Travis"
"And Connor"
"Stoll, Sons of Hermes" they finished together, laughing at Odi's Annabeth's expressions.
"Shut up you two, this is Odi, unclaimed and he will be staying here until he is claimed" said Annabeth exasperatedly "and guys, no pranks, he's only just got here and it's too early for him to be put in the medical bay"
"Yes Annabeth" Travis and Connor replied innocently.
"Be careful around them, they're known for their pranks. She whispered "Don't look them in the eye and keep alert and you'll be fine. Dinners ready when the Conch Horn sounds, line up with your cabin and the head councillors, Travis and Connor. Ive got to go and get my cabin prepared for dinner, remember what I said". With that she jogged off and left Odi in there presence of the twins. When he looked at them, he realised they were surveying him, despite his trepidation, he walked forward and placed his items on the dresser next to his bed. "Soooo…" Odi trailed off "what do you guys do for fun around here?" Connor and Travis grinned evily and their creepy smiles made Odi regret what he just said.
"Guys, Seriously what are we doing and how did you even manage to get me into doing this?"
"Well, we haven't pranked anyone in ages since getting here about a week ago, and it helps a lot more when there's a new ,innocent, naive camper to help us get out of trouble and if we told you, we would have to kill you" Travis said seriously
"Fine, what the plan, but I have a bad feeling about this." Odi said uneasily, and it was true whenever something was off, his neck prickled. It hadn't happened in years, not even when the Giant sna… Python attacked him at school.
"We're gonna have Travis distract her, while she's out me and you will use the perfume and shampoo we sneaked from the Aphrodite Cabin to give Demeter Cabin the make over"
"How's Travis going to distract her?"
"He's going to serenade her about how he likes her"
"Doesn't he actually like her though?"
"That's the idea, she'll be to focused on him and we can get away with it, its fool proof" he grinned stupidly. Adamant his idea was solid.
"…But how will that work if its true?"
"It will work because she will actually think its true and because of that, it wont raise suspicion."
"Okay let's go" Odi resigned
Five minutes later, and the uncharacteristically terrible singing of Travis, Odi and Connor stood there watching there handiwork proudly, suddenly there was a noise and they saw Katie walking angrily towards her cabin, entering it with a slam of the door.
Moving closer to the cabin, Connor and Odi heard her cursing about Hermes cabin and there stupid pranks to which Connor nearly charged in there, planning on giving her a full list of accounts why and when pranks had been useful. Odi clamped his mouth with a spare hand, not eager to give away their position outside the cabin. Unfortunately, what Odi didn't realise was that roots were slowly creeping around his shoes and ankles, anchoring him and Connor to the spot. A small girly voice broke them out of there eavesdropping session on Katie.
'What do we have here, two Peeping Toms or the ones responsible for pranking my cabin?'
Odi and Connor whipped there heads round, nearly jarring their necks from the sudden force. A small blonde girl who could be no older than one year his junior stood their, her small shadow lengthened by the sun. Odi was momentarily stuck for words. Connor was about to answer and politely suggest she stuff Zeus's Thunderbolt up where the sun doesn't shine but Odi gave him the evil eye. Getting the signal, Connor backed down. The new kid looked terrifying at that moment. Instantly, Odi changed from a glare to what he hoped was a flirtatious smile. 'We mean no harm, just seeing where Travis went too, we weren't scheduled to pull any pranks today and Connor asked me to help find his brother.' The girl looked suspiciously at the two boys, her gaze trying to discern the any truth from what they just told her. Sensing no deceit, she sighed and gave each of them a warning look 'Don't let me catch you like this again or you'll find out why you should fear Demeter'. The threat seemed like a joke but there was a deadly seriousness in her eyes that made them believe her. In a second she changed from seriousness to a beaming smile and walked away.
