Chapter 4: Touring

Kowalski happily and excitedly leads Cecelia from the habitat to start the zoo tour. He actually couldn't care less about introducing her to everyone; he just likes that he can finally be 'alone' with her. Kowalski leads her first to Marlene's habitat. "Cecelia, this is Marlene's habitat. She an Asian small-clawed otter." He explains and knocks on the cave.

"Okay." Cecelia says with a wide smile and a nod.

Marlene comes and opens her door curiously. She wonders who could possibly be knocking at this time of night. She looks with a mixture of surprise and curiosity at Kowalski and this other penguin. She instantly recognizes this she-penguin as the one she found a picture of in Kowalski's lab. "Ehm, hello?" She says.

"Marlene, this is Private's sister, Cecelia. She is spending some time with the team learning about team-ops." He explains and then looks at Cecelia. "Cici, this is Marlene."

'Cici?' Marlene thinks curiously, but smiles and shakes her flipper. "Hi, nice to meet you." She says.

Cecelia smiles and shakes Marlene's paw. "The same." She says.

"So, you're staying with Captain Paranoia?" Marlene asks, curious still of this new penguin.

"Yes, I am." Cecelia smiles. "Though, I prefah thinking of it as staying Lieutenant Kowalski." She says.

'Lieutenant Kowalski?' Marlene thinks. 'Since when do they use ranks all formally like that?' She wonders. She knows Skipper goes by Skipper and Private by Private...But those also are their names. She looks curiously at Cecelia and Kowalski. "Are you guys a...?"

"Couple?" Cecelia finishes. She nods and leans closer to Kowalski with a loving smile. "Yes."

Kowalski feels the color rush to his cheeks. "Wha—we-We are?" He asks. He doesn't remember them officially deciding that before.

"Of course!" Cecelia grins.

Marlene looks at them. "Okay." She says with a nice smile. "Well, if Skipper or the other boys give you any trouble, feel free to come crash here." She invites.

Cecelia smiles a little at Marlene. "Thank you, but I'm sure that it'll be just fine there." She says. She then gets Kowalski's flipper and starts dragging him away. "Nice talking to you, Marlene, but K'walski still has the rest of the zoo to introduce to me." She says with a wave. "Cheerio."

Kowalski manages a small wave towards Marlene before Cecelia has completely managed to drag him away to the next habitat; the lemurs. "This next place is the lemurs...We'd be better off just going on to the next habitat..." He says and tries to nudge her on towards the chimp habitat, but Cecelia shakes her head.

"No, I'd like to meet everyone, K'walsi!" She says with slightly wider green eyes and her beak starting a puppy pout.

"Alright...We can meet the lemurs." He sighs, giving in.

Cecelia smiles widely at him and drags him beyond the wall into the habitat. She curiously looks at the three dancing lemurs. "'ELLO!" She has to shout to be heard over their extremely loud music.

"WHAT?! I CANNOT BE HEARING YOU!" The tallest lemur shouts back and Maurice quickly fumbles for the volume knob of the stereo. He turns it down almost all of the way. "WHO ARE YOU—Oh...Eheh..." Julien becomes a little quieter as he notices that the music is no longer louder than him.

"She's—" Kowalski starts to say, but Cecelia quickly interrupts him.

"I'm Cecelia, Private's sister." She says with a smile. "And you are?"

Julien takes her flipper in his paw and kisses it. Kowalski watches him with a sharp glare of jealousy. "I am your king, King Julien." He says, holding his paw grandly to his chest. "And you're welcome to be my queen..." He winks.

Kowalski steps in before Julien can continue to kiss up her flipper. "She's taken already, Julien." He says with an almost growl.

Maurice looks with a raised eyebrow at Kowalski. He doesn't really remember him ever getting so...Snappy around Julien. Annoyed, frustrated, sure, but like this? No. "Ahem, I'm Maurice, and the little guy there is Mort, Ms. Cecelia." He says politely and shakes her flipper.

"Hi!" Mort giggles and hugs his tail. "And this is Rodney!" He says, holding his tail out towards her.

"Ehh..." She looks a bit at him weirdly at then at Kowalski. 'Just go with it.' He mouths to her. 'It's less painful that way.' Cecelia nods a little to him and smiles to little Mort. "Hello, Rodney." She says and pets his tail. Shortly after this, Kowalski drags her away to go meet the other animals of the zoo.

Sarah struts into the back of the warehouse, her long white-tipped tail swishing to the beat of the music playing into their pointed ears by her ear-buds. She glances with a smirk at a blue-tinted tube and the prisoner inside. The penguin inside meets her smirk with a murderous glare of her own and the fox takes out one of the buds. "Comfortable?"

"As comfortable as Francium-223." She growls back. "Now what do you want?"

Sarah sits with a small laugh and props her hind paws up on a desk nearby that houses the control panel for the cloning device that the penguin is sitting in. "Just here to tell you that your newest invention is a huge success!" She grins and pops the tab on a can of soda. She just laughs as she sees the look of disbelief on the girl's face.

"No...No! Surely they can tell the difference between a clone and me!" Cecelia gasps and sits down in her tube. She can't believe that she had been so, so stupid to have built a cloning device. She had built it to enter it into Invexpo, an invention convention. She had designed it to make android clone bots that are almost identical to the original. Actually, she isn't super surprised that it works so well, she had designed it herself after all. But now, now she is not at all impressed with her successful invention.

"What do you mean 'no'?" The fox laughs as she drinks some of the grape soda. "I though you geniuses liked to have your inventions work?"

Cecelia just glares at her. "They'll come to their senses soon enough! You won't win! You can tell that big gecko and guppy that!" She shouts. "And then they'll save me! You won't win!"

"And that's exactly what we're counting on, peng-u-in..." Laughs Dr. Blowhole as he rolls out of the shadows on his Segway. "And I'm not a fish. I am all mammal." He growls.

Cecelia snorts. "I'll believe that when I see your pedigree charts, shark." She crosses her own flippers with a glare back at him.

"I AM A DOLPHIN YOU STUPID PENG-U-IN!" He shouts.

Another figure steps out from around the corner and clears his throat as he looks at his colleague. "Ehm, Francis, I believe she is just trying to get on your nerves..." He says as he adjusts his monocle.

Dr. Francis Blowhole looks at him for a moment and then also clears his throat with a small nod. "True, true, Nelson." He says and gives another glare at the penguin scientist. She sticks her tongue back out at him.

Dr. Nelson Komodo nods and looks at Sarah. "And you have continued monitoring them? No one suspects anything?" He asks.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Sarah replies, not listening to him as she has already put her second ear-bud back into place.

Blowhole looks amusedly at the other evil mastermind. "And this is why I stick to lobsters...They're obedient and I can threaten to butter them if they're not..." He mutters and rolls over to the panel. "Now, peng-u-in, tell me more about the lovely functions of your machine..."

"Ovah my dead body!" Cecelia snorts and puts her beak up into the air.

"Well, that can easily be arranged, my dear..." Komodo chimes in with a sick smile. "This might be your cloning chamber, but I can easily let Butch and Conner have a bit of playtime." He darkly chuckles. "Then it might as well be your tomb, child."

Cecelia just looks at him. "Go ahead, I have no feah of badgahs. I'm not my brothah." She says with a very unamused look. "I'm a scientist and a programmah, if they press the wrong button, the entire machine will self-destruct and will destroy this whole warehouse. " She says with an air of supremacy.

The two villains look at her. "You're bluffing." They scoff.

"Go ahead, I dare you." She says with a shrug. "Risk blowing yourselves up. Can't have revenge if you're dead, can you?" She smirks as they glare at her and contemplate this new complication. She knows that she really is just bluffing. But, she knows she has to stall as much time as possible in hopes that at least one of Private's friends will realize the imposter before it is too late.
