"Did you hear?"
"About the play? Of course!"
"I can't believe that-"
"It's going to be amazing if-"
"I know right? He really needs to play-" Kyo groaned as he tried to bury his head further into his folded arms. Stupid girls! Just shut up already! It's Monday for crying out loud!
"Alright everyone! In their seats!" There were groans throughout the room as people moved to do as the teacher said. Kyo sighed, happy that the girls had stopped their incessant chatter. "Alright everyone, heads up! I'm not saying this twice!" You've got to be kidding me. "Everyone." Kyo raised his head and glared at his teacher, not bothering to sit up. "Thank you. Now I'm sure you've all heard of which play the school is going to put on this year. However, there are a few new modifications to signing up this time." There were a few worried whispers at that as people tried to figure out what this could possibly mean. "Because of the predominantly female cast in previous years, the play is going to have an entire male cast." There was a loud uproar at that from both boys and girls alike. The teacher simply held her hand for silence so she could finish "Because of this, and the fact that the school only wants to use freshman, if there aren't enough people signing up, you'll be volunteered." Hell no! Whose dumbass idea was this anyway? The students continued to protest but it was falling on deaf ears as she simply left the room after her announcement. The hell?

"This should be entertaining." Kyo turned and scowled at Uotani standing behind him.

"What makes you say that Uo-chan?" She turned to smile at Tohru as she answered her question.

"Because there are just enough boys in our entire class to pull off this play if everyone has a part."

"Who's dumb idea was this anyway?" Uotani simply shrugged.

"Not a clue. You might want to hurry and sign up for stage crew if you don't want a part Kyon-Kyon." Kyo scowled at her, jumping up from his seat.

"Like hell damnit! There has to be enough guys to play the damn thing."

"Not if they let you guys do stage crew." Kyo groaned, falling back in his chair.

"I'm sure it will be fine Kyo-kun." Uotani laughed when Kyo simply let his head fall on his desk.

"Oh, morning Yuki-kun! How is Chiyo-chan?" Kyo stiffened up completely when he heard that. Shit shit shit shit shit! How-

"She's doing fine thank you." Kyo relaxed slightly until he heard Uotani ask a question.

"Who's she?"

"Didn't I tell you? She's Yuki-kun's girlfriend." Kyo shot up, shoving his chair back. Uotani and Tohru looked at him strangely while Yuki just ignored him.

"I'm going to the bathroom." Kyo stomped out, the group staying silent for a few minutes after his odd departure.

"Weird. Anyway, are you taking her to the dance coming up?" Yuki paled slightly as he gave Uo-chan his usual polite smile, the complexion change barely noticeable with his pale skin.

"No I don't think so, she doesn't like dancing much." Uotani just shrugged, looking off to the side as she put her hands on her hips, rocking back slightly.

"Shame. That probably would've made most of your fan girls leave you alone." Yuki's eyes widened a bit at her point. If he could get Kyo to do this…
"Please Yuki-kun? I'm sure everyone would love to meet her." Yuki's eyes focused in front of him to see Tohru looking at him pleadingly. He sighed, pretending to be reluctant.
"I suppose I could ask."

Kyo and Yuki were on their way home alone, Tohru having had to go to work right away. Not that they were getting very far at the moment. Kyo and Yuki glared at each other, both silent for several heartbeats.
"You're going."

"Like hell! Why the hell should I?"

"Because I said so baka-neko."

"Fuck you!" Kyo sprung forward and took a swing at Yuki, which he easily dodged. Yuki quickly grabbed Kyo's wrist, pushing him back and off-balance. He turned and pinned Kyo to the wall next to them, grabbing his other wrist while he was disoriented and held them above his head. Yuki moved his head in close so their noses were almost touching, the two of them still glaring at one another.

"You will go. Or did you want Kagura to find out who she spent her evening with last night?" Kyo paled slightly but kept his death glare as he tried to jerk his body forward to take another swing at Yuki. Said rat simply tightened his grip on Kyo's wrists and bodily pressed him against the wall, preventing him from doing anything. "Your choice Kyo. Don't think I won't tell Kagura though." Kyo narrowed his eyes at the rat, his body noticeably deflating.

"I really fucking hate you." Yuki smirked, staying where he was for a few more seconds.

"I know." Yuki shoved off of Kyo and started walking away, leaving Kyo standing there with his arms at his sides. The hell? Kyo put a hand up to his forehead frowning. Why the hell did he feel so confused? He didn't even know what he was confused about but try as he might, he couldn't shake the feeling. What the hell is going on?…

Kyo got home a few minutes after Yuki, for that of which he was glad. He really didn't need to be reminded of what he'd been forced to do. Again. Kyo stomped up to his room and slammed the door, falling on his bed face first. He slowly turned onto his side, staring at the far wall. He was asleep a few moments later, never noticing he was even tired.

Yuki walked into the room about two hours later, rolling his eyes when he found the cat fast asleep. He walked over to the bed and shook Kyo's shoulder. "Get up baka-neko, it's time for dinner." Yuki sighed when Kyo simply frowned and curled into an even tighter ball. He shook his shoulder again, this time with more force. "You need to wake up baka." Yuki sighed again when he still didn't wake. Yuki put his hand back on Kyo's shoulder and shoved him on his back, finally succeeding in waking Kyo.

"What the- What the hell was that for you bastard?" Yuki simply gave him a dull look, crossing his arms as Kyo pushed himself up on his arms, not fully sitting up.

"Tohru sent me to wake you. Dinner is ready." Kyo glared at him for a few more moments before glancing out the window, his eyes widening at how early it was. The sun was mid-way through setting, making it barely five o'clock.

"The hell? What-"

"She has to go over Hana-chan's house to finish a project so she decided to make dinner early." Kyo slowly nodded his head, going back to staring out of the window. Yuki mentally shrugged off Kyo's odd behavior and went downstairs. He had done what Tohru had asked him.

Dinner wasn't as silent as the rat expected it to be. Tohru kept up a lively conversation with Shigure and Kyo throughout. "Oh yes, Shigure-san! Did Yuki tell you?" Shigure shook his head, finishing chewing the food in his moth before responding.

"No. what is it Honda-chan?" She smiled innocently, completely unaware of the reactions she was about to cause.

"Yuki decided to ask his girlfriend to the dance coming up." Shigure nearly choked on his drink. He putt his cup down and covered his mouth with his hands to stop himself from bursting out laughing. His gaze went back and forth between a pale Kyo and a worried Yuki.

"Oh? And what did she say?" His voice was just barely even as he directed his question at Yuki. Said boy gave a glare in his direction before answering him and continuing eating.

"She said yes." He couldn't take it anymore. Shigure hastily excused himself from the table and went to his office. As soon as the door behind him closed he promptly burst out laughing, bending over at one point the was laughing so hard. When he finally finished Shigure had to wipe at his eyes to get rid of the tears that were there. He walked over to the phone, quickly dialing in a number.

"Aya! You have to hear this…"

"Hellooo~! My dearest brother! Kyonkinchi!" Ayame smiled and hugged Shigure as the dog came forward to greet him. He could hear dishes being cleaned so he could only assume they had just finished dinner. Perfect! Kyo and Yuki slowly walked out of the dining room, weary of what could be bringing Ayame over so late. "Just the two people I wanted to see! You don't mind if I borrow them for a bit, do you Gure?" Kyo paled and made to bolt, and would have succeeded, had the hand on the collar of his shirt hadn't stopped him. How the hell had the snake moved that fast? But instead of keeping within his grip, the snake let go after jerking him back, making him fall into Yuki. "Wish I could stay and chat Tohru but I've got to go! Have a nice night!" Aya looked back at the two on the floor, tilting his head as if he weren't the cause for their sudden meet with gravity. "What are you two doing? We need to hurry! Honestly, you people left me with almost no time for this…" Kyo and Yuki were slowly getting up when Ayame's voice had trailed off as we walked out of the door. "Today!" They both scrambled to their feet at that, ignoring Shigure's laughter as they rushed out of the house to avoid the snake's wrath.

They got to Ayame's shop in less time than the cat liked. He had grumbled the entire way, only silent when Ayame had threatened to dump a bucket of ice water on him. He continued to glare daggers at the snake as he was herded them into the shop and even further back to an all too familiar back room. "Wait right here~!" He practically bouncing at the prospect of having a new challenge. Yuki watched Kyo paced back and forth with a bored expression on his face as he leaned against the wall.

"Stop moving, you're making me dizzy." Kyo turned to him and scowled, though he did stop pacing.

"Shut up ya damn rat! Why-" The door opening again cut Kyo off before he could continue to yell at Yuki.

"Ok! Get changed Kyonkinchi-tan!" Kyo turned his scowl to Yuki's older brother as he walked back into the room.

"Ya damn perverted snake! Get the hell out first!" Ayame hung up the covered dress on a hook, turning to pat Kyo on the top of his head.

"Acting so cute~. Shy around your boyfriend Kyo?" Kyo turned a suspicious color of red, slapping Ayame's hand away from his head.

"Shut up, damn it! He's not my boyfriend!" Aya just chuckled, moving to sit on the other side of the unusually roomy space.

"We don't have all night Kyo."

Kyo yawned again as they walked down the sidewalk. It had to be at least eleven, if not going on to midnight. "This is way too damn late." Yuki rolled his eyes, tired, but not wanting to agree with the cat.

"Wait a sec, I need to tie my shoe." Kyo made a face but stopped anyway, too tired to start a fight. I could get used to this, no stupid arguments… By the time Yuki stood back up he found Kyo leaning against a wall, clearly asleep. Not again… He sighed and walked over to the cat, shaking his shoulder in attempt to wake him up. "Baka-neko, you can't sleep here. Hey!" Yuki quickly caught Kyo by the shoulders when he started falling over. He stood there like that for a moment, seriously considering leaving him there before he sighed again, knowing he couldn't. I swear he better not remember this. Yuki carefully shifted him so that he could bring an arm under his legs, lifting him up. He started slowly walking back, not wanting to wake the still sleeping cat in his arms and have to explain why he was there. Only a few moments later, he looked down in alarm as he felt Kyo shift. He calmed down though when the cat was merely tucking his head against Yuki's chest, still breathing evenly. Yuki let out a breath of relief and continued walking, hoping the walk back would be as quick as the walk to was.
