Nino turns on the music and the students spread out. Nadia Chamack and her crew leave and Alya approaches the two heroes with her phone pointed at them.

"Ladybug: this party is awesome, isn't it? I'm the one who thought to throw it!" Alya exclaims.

"Thank you! That's so awesome!" the heroine replies.

"Are those Macaroons?" Chat asks, wandering off to a table full of desserts.

He picks up a red-and-black one and bites into it.

'This tastes like the macaroons that Marinette made at Chloe's party. I wonder if she baked these as well...why hasn't she come back yet?' Chat thinks to himself as he looks around at the students.

"Looking for someone?"

Chat turns around to see a girl with short brown hair and green eyes wearing a maroon hoodie and jeans standing behind him, her arms clasped behind her back.

"Oh, hi! What's your name?" Chat asks politely.

"Louise Bingham!"

"That's a pretty name, Louise!" Chat chirps cheerfully.

"So are you enjoying the party so far?"

"Very much so! I don't really go to parties all that much so this is a nice change of pace!"

"Good! Would you care to dance?"

"Oh? Sure!" Chat accepts.

Since a rock song was currently playing, the two dance casually next to each other, smiling and bobbing their heads to the music.

'This is so awesome! I can't believe I'm dancing with the Chat Noir!' Louise thinks to herself.

Meanwhile, Ladybug was still being interviewed by Alya while trying to fight off Chloe's hugging.

"So, Ladybug, are you and Chat Noir any closer to figuring out the identity of Hawkmoth?" the blogger asks, aiming her camera to have the heroine's head in shot but not Chloe's.

"Well, I thought I had a lead a few weeks back. It turned out to be a dead end and we were back to square one. But Chat Noir and I are still working very hard to bring Hawkmoth to justice!" she says professionally.

"Care to tell us who you thought Paris's supervillain was?" Alya asked, thinking about how the LadyBlog will explode with theories.

"That doesn't sound like a good idea!" Ladybug responds with a chuckle.

The current song ends and Nino picks up a microphone.

"All right, my party dudes! Make way on the dance floor for all the couples here today because Chat Noir has requested a slow song!"

People spread out in the courtyard as a soft, melodic song began playing. Couples held each other close as they danced slowly and the other students stood at the sidelines and took a break to grab something to eat and drink.

Chat walks through the middle of the dancers to get to Ladybug. He bends down slightly before her and holds out his hand.

"May I have this dance, M'lady?" he asks charmingly, looking up and smiling at her.

'I say you give Chat Noir a chance! Who knows? You two could end up becoming best friends!' Ladybug thinks, remembering what her kwami had said last night.

She hesitates before she takes her partner's hand. Like a gentleman, Chat guides her to the dance floor.

Like he had done with Marinette as Adrien, he puts her hand on his shoulder and places his hand on her side. They raise their clasped hands into the air and begin dancing as if they were at a ball and were the prince and princess.

Others turned to look at the superheroes and felt a mix between shock and happiness. Alya records everything, squealing on the inside thinking about what this'll do to the LadyNoir shippers.

"Put your phone down, Alya."

The blogger jumps and turns around to see her boyfriend, who has abandoned his DJ station.

"Nino?"

"May I have this dance, M'lady?" he asks, mimicking Chat Noir and earning a giggle from his girlfriend.

Alya puts her phone in her pocket and takes her boyfriend's hand. They join the couples on the dance floor as the song nears its climax. When it ends, Nino rushes back to the booth and begins playing another rock song.

"I'm going to give my kwami a break. You should too," Ladybug says.

Chat looks sadly at her, reluctant to let her out of his hold. The two part and run off to detransform in private.

Marinette and Adrien discreetly join the party, no one having noticed that the guests of honor left or that two students finally showed up.

The model wanders back to the macaroons while the fashionista goes to meet up with her friend. The party goes on for another hour before the superheroes return, their kwamis recharged, and are ready to party.

Noon rolls by and the party comes to a close just as Ladybug's earrings and Chat's ring begin beeping, signifying that they have five minutes before they transform back to their civilian forms.

"Oh! Uh, thank you all so much for the letters and presents! You have no idea how much this means to us!" Ladybug says sincerely as she heads to the platform where the letters and gifts still lay.

"Yeah! This was great, but LB and I have to bounce!" Chat adds, scooping his letters and presents into his arms.

The two smile once more and run out of the school. A single letter falls out of Chat's arms and flutters to the floor.

"Chat Noir! Wait!" Louise yells, but the black cat is already gone.

She picks up the letter, her eyes grow sad when she sees her own handwriting on the envelope that she had spent so much time decorating. She dejectedly leaves the party and heads home, two hours before she told her mom she'd be back.

When she gets to her front door, the key gets jammed in the lock and she desperately tries to get it unstuck.

"C'mon, c'mon!"

The door complies and lets her in eagerly, allowing her to fall into the house and onto the hardwood floor, her things flying everywhere.

"Great. Just great!" she yells to the empty house.

Louise aggressively slams the door shut and doesn't bother to pick up her stomps up the stairs and slams her bedroom door behind her before slumps over against her desk.

She tosses some crumbled-up pieces of paper in a wastebasket full of them. Louise pulls her letter out of her hoodie pocket and looks at it solemnly.

"Of course he would drop my letter," Louisel mumbles before crumbling it up and tossing it into the wastebasket.

At the same moment, a little black butterfly wedges its way into the room through a crack in the window and hovers over her head.

"It'd probably mean nothing to him anyway," she says, pulling her knees to her chest.

"I probably mean nothing to him anyway," she mumbles and buries her face in her arms, finally letting her tears escape her eyes and roll down her cheeks, staining her jeans.

The butterfly flutters down and is absorbed in the girl's ring on her right hand. She holds her head up, an angry expression on her face.

"Tristesse, the world has brought you down time and time again for far too long. I'm giving you the power to do just the same. All I ask in return are Ladybug and Chat Noir's miraculouses!" Hawkmoth says commandingly.

"Paris will not be smiling when I'm through with it!" Louise snarls before standing up. A dark matter pours out from her ring and absorbs her entire figure from head to toe. When it runs down and disappears, Tristesse stands where the teenager once was.

The akuma has porcelain skin with a mask that is smiling on one side and crying on the other and a short, black dress with black-and-white-striped leggings. She has a black glove that goes up to her elbow on her left hand but her right stays bare, exposing her ring, which is now large and black instead of small and golden.

Tristesse stands up and walks out of the room, her movements making no sound. Just then, Louise's mom walks through the front door. She goes into the kitchen and puts her purse on the counter before pulling out her phone to text her daughter and ask how the party's going.

Suddenly, someone taps her left shoulder, shocking her. The woman drops her phone and whips around, fear in her eyes and her fists balled, ready to attack whoever dared to be in her home.

She comes face-to-face with a masked being. The intruder takes the woman's face in their right hand and the eye slits in the mask glow blue. A feeling of sadness washes over her and she falls to her knees. Tristesse walks away and out the front door. She silently walks down the empty street, her cold eyes looking for her next victims.

"I'm coming for you, Ladybug and Chat Noir," she says, her voice solemn yet menacing.
