~ Hi, Hello, Hey ~
Its SK here to deliver another chapter of TPD. As of now I got one review and I thank you so much. I would like to take the time to present it here.
~…~
Guest: Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh. I always like this storyline even if it's most khr fics. I love this fic so far. It's simple and straightforward. The only weird thing is in the summary he's like a retired assassin & he's only like 13 years old? Also, he must not be deep into that life if he doesn't know Reborn, but he talks like he's never had a normal life because he was like 'the normality of normal life'. I wonder how you'll go with this. I'll be waiting for the next update
SK: Well my dear guest, a lot can happen in the first 13 years of life. It will reveal itself in due time :3 3.
Well that's it for that… I wanna have more of those so please leave a review 3.
….
~ Where we left off ~
Reborn pondered on what to do with Tsuna a bit more but pushed the thought to the back of his head for the time being and went to bed.
Chapter 4: Fatigued
As the night rolled on, Tsuna woke up with a headache. He went to get his medication since it was a bad one. Tsuna nearly stumbled downstairs but caught himself to not wake anyone up. He got himself a glass of water and toke the pill before crashing on the couch. He didn't even bother to try to head up stairs until the medication took effect. About 30 minutes passed and he silently made his way back to his room. Tsuna laid in bed, but sleep didn't make its appearance.
Tsuna just stared at the ceiling as his room became more filled with outside light. He decided to skip today's workout since he was gonna have a rough day at school. As Tsuna got out of bed, his entire being emulated a zombie. Unfortunately, Tsuna doesn't have the best temperament when he has a lack of sleep. Even when he was younger, he was quite a fussy when he didn't get his naps. He got dressed and grabbed his bag and he sat at the table and when Nana looked at him, she let out a small sigh.
"Tuna fish, do you have a hard time sleeping?"
Tsuna nodded his head.
"Do you want your favorite to make your day a bit brighter?"
He nodded and sat his head on the table.
Nana know this is going to be a very bad day for her baby. Once her Tsuna was returned to her loving arms, she could tell that he went through a lot. For an entire year after his return, he was restless. He wouldn't even get 2 hours sleep before he woke up in cold sweats and screaming. Then when he had to stay awake for the day, he was a grump. He didn't talk much and was more likely to lash out when bothered too much and didn't have much of a filter. She learned how to deal with it a day at a time and she broke through after a year and managed to get him enrolled in his final year of primary. She didn't have much help with Tsuna, but she was happy to see that he was doing better. Nana knew that Tsuna hasn't opened about everything and he may never will. All she wanted was to see he little Tuna Fish happy. After about 15 minutes of peace, a loud shriek erupted from Natsu's room. Tsuna's eye snapped to the stairs and Reborn hopped his way to the kitchen.
"Morning Momma, Morning Dame-Tsuna."
He just looked at Reborn momentarily before returning to his zone. Nana served them both and resumed making her children's lunches. After about 5 mins, Natsu came rushing down and went right pass the kitchen."
"Natsu you are forgetting your breakfast and your bento!"
"Don't worry about it I'll just share with Yamamoto and plus I don't wanna sit at the same table as that little monster!"
The door slammed and Tsuna let out and small sigh and looked at his mom as she shook her head. He knew that he would have to take it to him during lunch. Nana stacked the lunches on one another and sat it next to Tsuna and took his plate. Once she placed the dishes in the sink, she went back to plant a loving kiss on Tsuna's forehead.
"I know your day will be rough, but just know I love you and when you get home, I'll make your favorite."
Tsuna smirked a bit and pecked Nana on the cheek. He grabbed the lunches, went to the door, placed on his shoes and went to school. He was taking it slow since he wasn't going to be late with the pace he had taken. As he got closer to the school, the chatter of students entering the gates of the school disturbed him. Tsuna was then inspected by the watchful eyes of Namimori's Perfect. He entered the school, he changed out of his shoes, and made his way to Natsu's classroom.
Natsu generally doesn't get to class until a bit later, so he wouldn't have to worry too much about hearing his mouth. Once Tsuna entered the classroom, all the students just stared at him as if he was some disgusting stain. He went to Natsu's desk and placed the bento inside. He caught a glimpse of the school idol before leaving. There were rumors floating about that she was dating Natsu, but no one was entirely sure and from what Tsuna had gathered at home Natsu wasn't. It took Tsuna roughly 5 minutes to get to his classroom and as soon as he got to his desk, he placed his stuff down and immediately placed his head on his arm to get a bit of shut eye.
15 minutes passed before the teacher walked in and Tsuna rose like a zombie. He shouldn't have even bothered with trying to take a nap because it just made him sleepier and far more aggravated. When the teacher entered the class, there was a boy with white hair and green eyes. He had a very mean mug on his face as he entered.
"Alright everyone we have a new student…"
As the teacher spoke the new student scanned the room before setting his sights on Tsuna. He didn't remove his gaze at all through the entire introduction. Tsuna wasn't paying any attention but managed to catch the kids name. Tsuna then began focusing on staying calm and getting through the day. Moments later, his entire desk rattled and Tsuna stood abruptly and just as he did that, his hand was moving towards the newly introduced Gokudera's neck. It was so instinctive that it even gave him chills. Gokudera himself was in a bit of shock, but keep his outward appearance composed. Tsuna left the classroom and rushed to the nurse's office.
Meanwhile in a nearby tree Reborn happened to be watching in Tsuna's class when this incident occurred. It got Reborn's mind wondering and he was going to be observing Tsuna a bit more closely. Tsuna had already made it to the nurse's office and she wasn't in, so he just chose a random open cot and crashed. He wouldn't be there for very long cause he would have to get to the guidance counselor to talk about what happened.
The school was semi aware of the trauma that Tsuna faced, but they didn't have the right materials nor the proper training to deal with that amount of trauma. He slept for about 30 minutes before he got up and went to the guidance counselor. All he needed was the pass, so he sat through the generic talk they usually had then he was sent back to class. As soon as he opened the door the teacher gave him dagger eyes up until he gave him the pass.
"Oh…well give me your homework then head back to your seat. Next time tell me that you have to go there."
"Y-yes sir. I'm s-sorry."
He turned in the homework and then laid his head on the desk. When lunch came around, Tsuna just went to the roof. It was one of his favorite spots to be. Not because of the immediate threat in the area, but just the peace and quiet. After eating, Tsuna laid back and stared at the sky and zoned out. He never understood why the sky gave him the most peace. Tsuna always had an affinity for it. As he went deeper into his train of thought, an explosion happened nearby. Tsuna snapped out of it and raced to the direction of it. He looked around and once the second explosion happened, the dust began to rise and once it cleared, Tsuna saw Natsu and Gokudera having a standoff.
The entire battle was one sided for most part until Gokudera lite too many bombs and Reborn had to step in and help Natsu. This caused Gokudera to be indebted to him and made it his goal to become Natsu's right hand man. Tsuna had a slight feeling that Gokudera would be a nuisance in some way, but he wasn't entirely sure how, but he knew he life would become more complicated with him being in it. Tsuna went back downstairs and decided to pay attention in class. He could feel eyes burning in the back of my head.
This went through the entire day and he arrived home. Nana greeted Tsuna as normal but didn't bother him and ask about his day. Tsuna still gave her a hug and proceed to his room. He didn't touch his homework, but he got an itching feeling on top of his head and a small pain. He snapped out of bed and got to work on it and spent extra time to recheck the work and studied a bit. Tsuna placed the work on his desk so Reborn can see it. He returned to his bed and just as he was starting to relax, Tsuna could hear the voice of Gokudera and Yamamoto coming down the hallway.
They were talking loudly about a variety of subjects. Gokudera was going on and on about how he is the Tenth's Right Hand and that he will be the greatest Mafia Boss. Yamamoto was laughing at Gokudera and how he was excited to play this game of Mafia. Tsuna sighed and he went downstairs to help his mom with dinner since being upstairs wouldn't give him any peace. As he arrived in the kitchen, Reborn was sitting in his seat and reading a newspaper. He didn't bother acknowledge Tsuna's presence. Tsuna tapped Momma to make his presence known and she smiled brightly.
"Are you here to help?"
Tsuna just nodded.
"Alright well I haven't made the rice yet so if you could make that."
He started to work. The task kept his mind off the commotion going on upstairs. Once dinner was finished being made, Tsuna was given the task of retrieving Natsu and his guests. He was very reluctant to do so, but since Momma asked, he waltzed up the stairs. When he reached the door, Natsu had been taking about the mafia and what he was going to do about it. Tsuna knocked 4 times and Natsu swung opened the door.
"dinner's ready…"
"What I can't hear you!"
Tsuna gave Natsu a sharp look. He hated when he did this. Natsu knew what he said but it was his way of taunting him. Tsuna exhaled sharply and went back downstairs. When he arrived to the table, Leon hopped over to Tsuna's head and made himself comfortable. Tsuna pet him and Leon got on his shoulder and rubbed his face up against Tsuna's face. It cheered him up a bit. In the meantime, Nana set the table up and served Tsuna and Reborn.
"BOYS, DINNER IS READY! GET DOWN BEFORE IT GETS COLD!"
She sat down. Soon after rumbles came from upstairs. Natsu was ahead of the pack and sat at the table across from Tsuna since that was the furthest away from Reborn. Yamamoto sat next to Natsu which Gokudera protested heavily.
"Fine I'll sit next to the sorry excuse for an imitation."
"Ha! Good one Gokudera."
Yamamoto smiled awkwardly at the comment but brushes it off. Tsuna was unfazed by the taunting since he was enjoying his favorite dinner. Leon was making the experience far more enjoyable. Tsuna just went to his happy food place. He went for seconds and even a third.
"You have quite the appetite tonight, I'm glad you're eating."
Nana placed her hand on top of Tsuna's head and pecked his forehead. Natsu just watched the interaction and scoffed.
The rest of the night went relatively smoothly. Tsuna was stuffed with Momma's good cooking, Natsu had left after dinner so the house was quiet, the threat of Reborn waking him to do his homework was eliminated. The night was going to be complete after taking a hot and straight to bed before 10. Once Tsuna settled his stomach, he went to do his nightly routine. He was relaxed and as soon as he was about to reach the door of his room, He could feel a massive presence in the room. It was extremely intense, and he wanted to run away. On the other hand, there was a chance that Reborn was watching him somewhere. Tsuna shook of the nerves and just entered his room and there sat Reborn. He threw something directly at Tsuna's head.
"HHHHIIIEEE!"
Tsuna dropped to the floor and cover his head.
"Oh, you dodge that one…"
As the last word exited Reborn's mouth, an intense pain struck the center of Tsuna's forehead. He rolled on the floor and held his head. It felt like it had been slit open.
"Now I see you have completed your homework, but you forgot the second sheet…"
Tsuna was extremely puzzled. He could have sworn he had finished it. Tsuna stood slowly and approached his desk to find another worksheet that had Reborn's stamp on it. The math questions varied in difficultly, but Tsuna knew this was a trap that would lead to his impending torture.
After 45 minutes of being threatened and abuse (varying between physical and verbal), Tsuna just passed out on the desk from the mental and physical exhaustion.
Tsuna wanted to retaliate, but after feeling what he felt before entering his room, he knew he would be signing his death wish. Tsuna slept through the night peacefully without a single thought in sight.
~ . Next Morning. ~
Tsuna woke up early this morning to help Nana with making their lunch. He wanted to avoid Reborn and Natsu's shenanigans. He wanted to play with Leon, but he could do that when he got home. Nana gave her usual good morning kissing as general questions. Tsuna reciprocated and made quick work of making his own. He kissed Nana on the forehead and rushed out the door as he heard the shriek of Natsu.
Tsuna had made it to the school extremely early then usual. Hibari-san was still making his general patrols around the school and about the school grounds. Tsuna stayed as far as possible and took several shortcuts around the school to get to his classroom and just relax. Once he got to his seat his homeroom teacher had just been passing by and looked inside the room.
"Sawada, why are you here so early?"
"I-I don't really k-know… just wanted to r-relax before cl-classes st-started…"
"Hm… well your Math teacher wants to see you."
The Homeroom Teacher escorted Tsuna to the staff room. As they arrived, his Math teacher and waved him over to sit down.
"So, Mr. Sawada, I see that you have made a vast improvement to your homework grades lately."
Tsuna just nervously smiled.
"This is great. I don't know what you are doing but keep at it. I want you to continue on this upwards trend."
Tsuna just nodded and went back to the classroom.

Hey, I hope you're all doing well… It's been a hot minute, but life his taken several turns as of recent. I have tried to type as much as possible to make up for lost time, and I hope to continue to update once my situation blows over. I will most likely have a schedule to make short update with less then 2,000 words. Then when I know I will be away for a while; I'll warn you all and make a post a lengthier chapter. I still haven't decided if I wanna diverge from the main story progression just yet. Let me know if I need to edit anything. Also, wanna hear from you all more I crave interact :3.
Thanks for reading 3
