Wow, I really need to try to keep up with my chapter posting! Sorry for the delay, guys! I will try and post more often! In the mean time, enjoy chapter 4!
After a quick stop at our lockers to grab our binders and dispose of our lunch things, Nikki, Vi, Shae and I made our way to our next -and favourite- class: English. English was most students favourite class for one main reason: the English teacher, Ms. McKinnon, was the best teacher in the school. She's the most cool, fun and hilarious teacher ever. The only thing that would have made this the best class ever in the history of all classes was if Clo, Andi, Bryn and Amber were in our class too. But alas, they each had some different class this period.
Vi, Nikki and Shae all walked into the English class room slightly annoyed. It was probably because I was just finishing a dramatic reenactment of the win I had just claimed in front of them:
"And then I was all: Whoosh! Pew! Pew! Pow! Then you guys were all: Oh no! She's too awesome! And I was like: Ha ha! Take that, losers!" I cheered loudly and pumped my fist in victory as I said the ending line of my over-exaggerated story.
Nikki rubbed her temples as she sat down at her desk near the back of the room, "Ally, I swear, if you don't shut up, I will literally come over there and kill you."
"That seems a bit harsh, don't you think?" Shae said, pulling out her favourite manga and lowering herself into her seat behind Nikki, "She's just happy she won."
"Why are you defending her?" Vi asked, sitting down next to Shae and pulling her laptop out of her bag, "You lost to her too!"
"Oh yeah," Shae realized, then opened her book to start reading, "I guess I hate her too then."
"Wow, you guys," I pouted as I sat down in my seat next to Nikki, "It was just a friendly battle, remember? We were-"
"Shut up, Ally, no one cares," Nikki interrupted, putting up her hand to silence me and ignoring my insulted look, "I think I see some new kids coming in!"
We all looked up immediately at the door and found she was right! Ms. McKinnon was escorting a couple of the new kids we had seen before at lunch into the classroom.
"Here we are," We heard her say to the group, "Just sit down anywhere and we'll wait for the second bell to ring before I introduce you to the class."
We watched intently, (and rather creepily), as the new kids unfortunately went and sat in desks by the front of the room, instead of at the back with us. Only four out of the seven exchange students were in this class, but amazingly, the boy with the gorgeous golden eyes was in this class! How lucky can I get?! Maybe I will get the chance to introduce myself...
The boy with the fiery red hair was also in our class. Vi was staring at him; her eyes were big as she sighed dreamily.
I snapped my fingers in Vi's face, "Hey! Stop staring! You're being creepy."
She blinked as her eyes focused on me again, "What? Am I not allowed to look at hot guys?"
"First of all," I said, "That guy is not hot. And second of all, there's a difference between looking at guys and being over the top creepy at guys."
"I'm no worse than you!" She retaliated, "You're staring at that grey haired boy just as much as I'm looking, not staring, at that ginger."
"Whoa, stop," I said, turning to face her again and putting up my hands, "Let's make this clear. He does not have grey hair, idiot. It's sliver."
"Details, details," Vi rolled her eyes, looking past me to gaze at the red-headed boy once more before her eyes returned to her laptop.
"Would you two quit arguing?" Nikki asked from beside me, "Honestly...I can't stand this!"
I laughed, "But it's the only thing I'm good at!"
"Yes, we know, darling, but that doesn't mean you have to do it all the time!" Nikki said.
"Wow, you guys are mean," I said, offended, pulling my English binder out from my bag and setting it on my desk, "I need to get some real friends that don't insult me all the time."
"But that's what best friends do, Ally," Shae said, not glancing up from her anime.
"Touché," I said, just as the second bell rang to signal the start of class.
"Ooo, yay!" Vi said, closing her laptop with a snap, "Time to meet the new kids!"
We glanced excitedly at the front of the room, where the new kids were all looking around nervously. Except the silver-haired boy; he was sitting at his desk like the other kids, but he didn't look the lest bit frazzled. Very calm and collected. I like that in a guy.
He looks so perfect to me! Good-looking and a collected personality. I can't wait to meet him!
"Okay, guys," Ms. McKinnon said, walking to the front of the classroom, "You've probably all heard about the new students that have just transferred here from Japan. We have a couple of those students in this class! Why don't you each stand and tell the class your names?"
She motioned to the red-haired boy to start. He stood up and turned to face the class: "Hi! My name is Gingka," He said cheerfully, smiling and giving a small wave.
"Wow," I said, impressed, "Such smooth English. I expected them to not know too much."
"I know..." Vi said dreamily, resting her head in her hands and staring at Gingka with misty eyes.
Nikki rolled her eyes, "Pay attention, you two, or you'll miss the others."
We turned our attention back to the front of the room as Gingka sat back down.
Next the black-haired boy with the red strand that fell between his eyes stood up and said: "Hey, my name is Masamune and I missed lunch. Where's the cafeteria again?"
The class laughed as Gingka jumped up, "Yes! Me too! I could really use a burger right now! Can we go, Miss...uh.. Mrs... um..."
"McKinnon," Ms. McKinnon said, laughing, "Would you like an escort?"
"Whatever," Gingka said, "As long as I get my burger!"
"Any volunteers?" Ms. McKinnon asked, turning to the class.
Vi's hand shot up and she practically shouted: "I volunteer!"
"As tribute," I added and Shae snickered.
"I think she's really volunteering to be Gingka's girlfriend," Nikki observed, as Vi hurried to the front of the room.
"C'mon, boys, let's go," She said quickly, grabbing Gingka by the hand and pulling him out the door, "Bye, Mme!"
"Hey! Wait for me!" Masamune cried, running after them.
There was a pause of silence after the commotion cleared, then the entire class giggled. Ms. McKinnon cleared her throat, "Alright, that was weird. Let's proceed."
She motioned to the girl with short brown hair and the yellow and blue goggles to stand. She did and held her hands behind her back as she said: "Hello everyone. My name is Madoka and I have to apologize for the boys behaviour a minute ago. They have no manners at all, it seems."
"OMG," Nikki gasped, slapping her desk with her hand, making Shae jump and me drop my pencil.
"What?!" I exclaimed, reaching down to pick it up.
"Finally! I've found someone in this insane world that cares about proper manners!"
I rolled my eyes, "Really? You're making it sound like we're disgusting pigs."
"Oh, not you two, darling, mostly just Clo," Nikki stated, smoothing down her skirt prettily, "Anyways, I want to make friends with that Madoka girl. I can already tell she is a very good person."
Shae laughed, "I'm sure you guys would be the best of friends. She looks like a perfectionist."
Nikki narrowed her eyes at Shae, "Are you calling me a perfectionist?"
"Yes she is," I said bluntly, "Now pay attention. The silver-haired, not grey-haired, boy is about to say his name!"
Madoka was just sitting down as the silver-haired boy stood up to say his name. Unfortunately, Gingka and Masamune decided to come bouncing in at that moment, arms filled with burgers and plates of fries. Vi followed behind them, shaking her head in disbelief at all the food.
"My goodness, boys," Ms. McKinnon exclaimed, a bit shocked at their hull, "Can you really eat all of that food?"
"Oh, yes they can," Madoka said factually, "You haven't seen anything yet. They could eat twice their own weight and still have room for dessert."
"Alright then," Ms. McKinnon said, eyeing Gingka and Masamune carefully as they sat down in their seats and hungrily dove into their food, "Moving on now. What about you? What's your name?"
She spoke to the silver-haired boy. He stood up and said with his arms crossed over his chest: "My name is Tsubasa." Then sat back down again.
Wow! His voice was so deep and calm. He's so simple, but it suits him very well. His hair is so graceful and his eyes; there are no words... I get shivers just thinking about him! I can't believe I have this big of a crush on a guy I haven't even talked to yet.
It's love at first sight!
"Honestly, Ally," Vi said as she retook her seat behind me after her expedition with Gingka and Masamune. She opened her laptop again and typed in her password, "I'm not seeing what you find so great in that Tsubasa guy. He just looks plain and boring to me. And I'm not digging his eye colour."
"Well, what do you see in that red-headed pig eating the hamburgers over there, hm?" I retaliated, turning around to look at her, irritated, "He looks like a royal slob!"
"Whoa," Vi said, putting her hands up in a "stop there" motion, "That's going a bit far. You haven't even met him!"
"And you have?"
Vi sighed, "Can we not do this right now? I have to ignore you and gaze at Gingka."
I rolled my eyes, "Don't judge a book by its cover, Vi-vi."
She cringed at that hated nickname, "Speak for yourself, fool!"
"You two," Nikki said, taking a pencil out of her bag, "Need to stop falling in love with guys you just met and haven't even talked to. It's not healthy."
"Stop being such a party pooper," I said to her, opening my binder to the page we were working on last class about debates, "You must find one of them cute too."
"Alright, guys!" Ms. McKinnon called out to the class, sparing Nikki from answering, "Let's get to work on your debate speeches until the bell rings. Gingka, Masamune, Madoka and...Tsubasa was it?" Tsubasa nodded, "You can just sit where ever you want."
"Okay! Thanks, Miss...uh, what was your name again?" Gingka asked her, his mouth full of burger.
"Ms. McKinnon," She said, laughing, "You guys can go around and introduce yourselves to the class if you want."
"We will," Madoka said, stepping in front of Gingka to block him, and his burgers, from view, "Thank you, Ms. McKinnon."
"No problem," Ms. McKinnon smiled and walked to her desk to await the end of period bell.
"Well, since there's not much time left of class," I said, snapping my binder closed and turning to look expectantly at my friends, "Let's talk!"
"Ugh, no," Nikki said, letting her head fall onto her desk with a thud, "I'm too tired."
Vi, Shae and I stared at her blankly for a second, "Well," Vi said, looking back to her screen, "I guess not then."
"Oh, c'mon," I said, closing my binder and putting it back in my bag, "It's Nikki. What else can you expect?"
"A bit more enthusiasm?" Shae suggested, opening her manga again.
I laughed, "From Nikki? Ha!"
"Well, how many times do you have seven new students transfer into your school from Japan?" Vi demanded, looking at me pointedly.
"How many times has Nikki actually cared about anything on a Monday afternoon," I said, rolling my eyes, "But, ya know, Vi has a very valid point. We should talk more about these kids."
"Nooo," Nikki whined, her head still on the desk.
Vi stuck her tongue out at Nikki, "Fine. Be that way!" She said, "I guess we'll just talk about them without you!"
"I can live with that," Nikki said, covering her head with the sweater she just pulled from her bag.
"Let it go, Vi," Shae said, stashing her manga into her backpack, "The bell's gonna ring in, like, 30 seconds anyway. Let her sleep, even if it's only for a couple minutes."
"Fine! Whatever!" Vi exclaimed, closing her laptop shut and sliding it into her bag, "Just never mind the whole thing!"
"Hey, wait a second!" I said to her, "I never said I didn't want to talk!"
As I finished my sentence, the end of period bell rang. Everyone stood up quickly and headed for the door.
"Well, it's too late now, Ally," Nikki said, stuffing her sweater back into her backpack, "My, that class went by fast, don't you think?"
"Time flies when you're having fun!" Shae said, winking.
We all laughed as we walked out the door after everyone, then waved goodbye as we split up to go to our last classes of the day.
One more class, then I can win my battle with Clo!
And there you have it! Until next time! :D
