A/N: Sorry about the wait, I've been focusing on my school work… which has been made harder by the fact that I changed my major. I think that, by shortening the chapter lengths, I can update more often. Hope you enjoy this chapter though!
I DO NOT own Transformers and its characters/plot. Nor do I make a profit from it in any way. I did, however, create this story and whatever characters I decide to make up!
Chapter 4: Oops Part 1
=0= Autobot Base: Storage Building
Opening the door to the storage unit, the Autobot tactician flicked the lights on, taking note of the few that remained off. Making his way inside to look around the stacked boxes, he took no notice of the shadows the boxes provided.
"How Optimus could have left one of his datapads in here is beyond me." Prowl said to himself.
Looking under loose rags and shifting boxes into place as he advances further, still did not turn up the missing datapad after a few minutes. Thinking back on all the places that Optimus has gone while on base, I don't believe he has ever been to this area let alone this building. Realizing that he probably wasn't going to find anything, Prowl turned around to start leaving the room.
=0= In the shadows
"See what I mean?" whispered the third figure, " If it weren't for me dragging both of you behind here, we would have been found just now! You're both so irresponsible."
"That's why we have you though.", responded the first figure.
"You always manage to bail us out of trouble!", finished the second.
"Really? You guys depend on me that mu-"
Crash!
The three figures quickly peer out from their hiding place. On the floor, covered in a slightly fluorescent green goo, was the unconscious Prowl. Glaring at the two nervous figures, the third says through clenched teeth, "Looks like I have to bail you two out again". Heaving a sigh, the third squares their shoulders, "Ok, both of you grab a leg."
"Wait, what?", asked the second figure.
"Why are we moving him?!", exclaimed the first.
"I may not know everything, but I'm pretty sure they're gonna know something's up if Prowl goes missing.", reasoned the first.
"We're not getting rid of him, we just have to drag his unconscious body to the med bay.", the third figure said as they jumped down and made their way to Prowl.
"Won't they start asking questions about how he got to the med bay when the last thing he'll remember is being in this storage building?", asked the first.
"But not more questions than if he disappeared completely", the second pointed out as they both approached where the third figure stood.
"Glad you both agree, now put on your gloves", stated the third.
=0= Within the trees
"What is it with people and leaving me? It'll reflect badly on me if anything happens!", a lone figure rants to itself as it makes its way through the foliage. "I guess if it gets bad enough, I could always blame someone else. But then they would try to get revenge and I know that I don't need that happening again…", it continued to say.
Screech!
Pause.
Screech!
"The Pit is going on?", it questioned.
Racing towards a break in the leaves before crouching down to observe, it listened as voices carried over from a distance.
"And pull!", announced one voice.
Screech!
"Won't somebody hear us or at least see what we're doing?", said another.
Screech!
"Worrying about it won't help. If it happens, we'll think of something", called out a third voice.
"That doesn't sound like a well thought out plan", said the figure emerging from the bushes.
"Well this will go faster if you help, lowering the chance of someone catching us", replied the third figure.
25 minutes later….
"Told you it wouldn't take long", the third figure stated proudly as they all stood outside of the med bay.
"Let's leave before something else happens. You never kno-", said the fourth figure as they walked on to round the corner before bumping into something hard. Looking up, they can only look on nervously at the quickly deteriorating situation.
"Heh, heh… oops?" they say to the mech staring down at them.
"Watch the paint! What is it with you humans and always trying to put your greasy digits on things?", exclaimed an irritated Sunstreaker. Taking a closer look at the figures gathered by his pedes, he added, " You don't look like you belong here and I've never seen you before. Who are you?"
"Well I'm glad you asked!", the fourth figure said excitedly. The others groaned as the fourth looked like they were about to pose dramatically.
"We are-", it started before being cut off by the servos reaching for them.
=0= Autobot Base: The Brig
"-captured. We are captured", the fourth figure moaned in disbelief. The force field keeping them trapped hummed and flickered as occupants bickered.
"I thought you said you'd think of something if we were found out…", muttered the second to the third.
"I did think of something! I was trying to walk away while Sunstreaker was distracted but you two didn't want to leave the idiot".
"If we left, that means only they would get to interact with Sunstreaker and we wouldn't be breaking the rules together", the first said as if it made complete sense.
"Aren't we missing someone?", the fourth said to itself as the bickering continued.
