Sorry for the delay. I have no excuse.

This will be the last chapter for this fic since there is and will be no more to tell.

Leia, Han, Luke and Lakshmi meet the Naberrie Family.

Leia watched as shrubs and walls passed on either of the speeder she, Han, Luke and little Lakshmi were in. In just a few minutes she would finally meet the Naberries in person at a local medical center to verify a relation between the Naberries and her and Luke.

They had spoken over the comm but this would be the first time they would all meet in person. At the same time Leia was nervous but excited for this meeting so much could happen during this meeting. She still remembered all too well about making first impressions but anyone could put up fronts. The best way to get good readings on people was see how they acted when they weren't trying to impress you; when they were at home or at their office.

Finally the speeder slowed as they approached their destination and came to a halt. All of the adults took a moment to take a few cleansing breaths before they prepared to enter the medical center and confirm what they already knew.

Leia gently slipped Lakshmi into a carrying sling and let Han take her hand while Luke took a position on her other side.

Slowly as a group they headed into the medical center. A male human nurse was waiting for them near the reception desk and gestured for them to follow him down a corridor.

They didn't speak as they walked to the room where the tests would be performed. The silence was light and Leia could Feel that the nurse was curious but was professionally holding back on asking questions. It was nice that someone wasn't pestering her with questions; back on Coruscant she could rarely go anywhere where organics would be serving her in any fashion without someone asking person questions.

About part way down the corridor the nurse veered towards a door on the right and tapped a button on the wall to open it.

They walked in the room and the nurse shut the door behind them. Leia nodded pleasantly at the Naberries when she saw them but they didn't exchange words as the male nurse took DNA samples from them.

They all watched the nurse though as he inputted the samples into the analyzer in the room. Seconds passed, if Leia wasn't Force Sensitive it might have felt like hours instead of the ten seconds it took the analyzer to finish.

The nurse looked at the results and he turned to look at them with a gentle smile. "Luke Skywalker and Leia Solo are the children of Padme Naberrie; congratulations." He announced politely

It was as if a spell had been broken and Jobal Naberrie hugged her. Leia returned the gesture grateful that she could Feel how happy her grandmother was to know that she a part of her deceased daughter; that the swollen abdomen had been a lie.

Leia knew from experience that anger would soon set in with the Naberries as they thought of the years that had been stolen from them. She couldn't blame them; she knew that if by some twist of fate the same thing that happened to her mother happened to Lakshmi she would be angry if she discovered that Lakshmi had given birth and her child or children had been spirited away. Maybe in time she could understand but it would still upset her.

She still had a hard time with how her life had been on Alderaan. It had been hard for her to understand what love truly was since Breha and Bail had had an arranged marriage and never truly loved each other. They did care for each other but there had been bitterness at times on Breha's part. Leia could never be sure if it was because Breha thought that she, Leia, was the result of an affair that Bail had had with some human woman or if Breha had been jealous or angry that Bail would rather be on Coruscant than on Alderaan.

Leia was ten nearly eleven when Breha had died as a result of a miscarriage gone wrong. It had surprised Leia to no end as she grew older that none of Breha's maids, her personal medical droid and her organic doctor had known that Breha had stopped taking the birth control drugs and had gotten away with not getting the birth control implant replaced. Together the pills and the implant had prevented any possibility that Breha could get pregnant. She had either miscarried or gave birth prematurely to six children that didn't live to see a second day of life before medical professionals had highly advised Breha and Bail to stop trying for a child in that manner. Leia remembered all too well how many times Breha reminded the beings that she entertained that she could never carry a child herself without fear of a miscarriage or preterm labor. Maybe Breha had been emotionally insecure and wanted to prove to herself that she could have her own child. She still remembered when Breha had been rushed to palace's medical wing only to die within two days.

But she could Feel that the Naberries would have been different from Breha. They would have only expected her to be polite and to respect others. They would have blocked her from politics but really she wasn't cut out for politics which was something anyone that truly knew her wasn't afraid to point out. It would have also prevented the Youth Legislative Program from attempting to brainwash her into believing that the Government on Coruscant could do no wrong and that all she had to do was complain that the laws weren't being obeyed.

Before Leia knew it the Naberries were leading them to the speeder parking lot and being told that they would take her to the family home and they would have a home cooked meal and they would share stories. They wanted to know if half of the things that happened to them were true and if any of the stories were exaggerated.

Lakshmi made a happy noise and Leia smiled at the sounds of her daughter's coos.

For the first time in several years Luke and her had found family beyond themselves, their deceased father, his step-brother and his wife. It felt good that they had family and she knew that Han felt the same way.

It felt good to have found them.
