Disclaimer: No matter how much I wis-... want it to be true, I do not own Danny Phantom.

"Hmph, it seems Jack and Maddie are out. Perhaps I should go... check on my investments." The halfa said with a smirk. He turned off the screens showing the Fenton house. Black lights circled him and transformed him in to Vlad Plasmius.

He opened the portal and flew in to the Ghost Zone. Avoiding annoyances such as Klemper and the Box Ghost, he used his speed to get him there within five minutes. He saw from a distance that Jack had left the portal open, again. "The bumbling moron. He probably would forget he had a family, if they didn't live with him," He chuckled. He flew through the portal and felt an odd sensation come about him.

"I dunno, guys, but they left the Ghost Catcher right in front of the portal. Probably to 'catch' Ghosts. I should check and see if there are any. I'm surprised my ghost sense hasn't gone off yet." His friends followed him downstairs.

"What convention was it, again?"

Danny trilled his lips, "Pfft, I dunno, It just means that them and their inventions are out of my hair. No parents for the weekend, Vlad is at his house in Wisconsin, probably planning- to..." He got to the foot of the stairs, and paused, confused. "Plasmius? What kinda trick are you trying to pull?"

Rubbing their heads, were two Vlads lying flat on the ground. Behind them was the Ghost Catcher. One was in Masters form, and the other was in Plasmius form. But strangely, Masters was in a spiffy, ironed, full-on suit with coat tails and everything, while Plasmius had partly longer fangs, and claw-like nails with messier hair down from its Dracula-style and his clothes with rips and tears along it.

Plasmius blinked his eyes opened and grinned menacingly. Danny immediately put up his guard, intimidated. He had never seen this look on Plasmius before. He took a step back, but put his arms back to attempt to protect his friends. "P- Plasmius? Hey, c'mon, Plasmius. This isn't funny. Vlad?"

When they couldn't step backwards anymore, Danny gulped as Plasmius leaned in, lowering his voice. "Vladdie's not here anymore, Danny." The younger halfa tried to suppress the shudder down his spine. He could hear the insanity in his voice. "It's just me. And no one can stop me. Not even myself." He stood straight with a maniac smile. "I'm going to get revenge on Jack for killing me, and Maddie will throw herself at my feet. And you? Well, we'll get to that later," He chuckled darkly, eyeing Sam and Tucker, then flew upstairs and out the door.

Danny let out a shaky breath, and took in the rest of the lab. He sighed, turning back to his friends, "C'mon guys, let's help Vlad." He walked back to Masters, who had finally sat up. Sam and Tucker exchanged a look before reluctantly helping him pull Vlad to his feet. "Vlad? You alright?"

Vlad looked around before responding, "Yes, I'm quite alright. In fact, I'm glad to not have him anymore. Quite a pain. Now I can finally be human and not worry about ghosts and such things. Ooh, speaking of, do you know where your father has gotten to? I haven't talked to him recently, and now would be an excellent moment to do so! I do hope he still likes the Packers. Ooh, and where's Maddie?! I'd so like to give her a pleasant 'hello!'"

Danny shivered, "No, dude, just no. Besides, mom's not in to you."

He chortled, "Oh, no, dear boy. I do not think of her like that. I understand that she is with Jack, and it was not meant to be. I simply wanted to say hello. But before that, do you have any yarn?"

He blinked before answering, "Yeah, upstairs, cabinet under the tv."

Vlad smiled and dashed upstairs. The trio stood there, partially confused, "So... what just happened?"

Tucker looked around and realized what had happened, "You guys, the Ghost Catcher. Vlad must've flown in here and went straight through it. Now we've got this evil vampire ghost trying to murder Mr. Fenton and take over the entire Ghost Zone. Not only that, but we have single man in his 40s sitting around in a big mansion knitting." They heard shouting from upstairs and ran, only to find Vlad knitting in the living room, with the TV on.

"You call that a first down?! He was five feet away from the thing! Ugghh!"

Danny looked back and forth between the tv and Vlad. Finally, just to say something, he asked, "What are you making?"

He smiled, holding up a small, partially sewn... thing. "It's a sweater for Maddie."

Sam rose an eyebrow, crossing her arms, "It looks just the tiniest bit too small."

Vlad furrowed his brow before showing a look of realization, then laughed, "Oh, no no no, I mean Maddie, my cat. Oh, come on! That was clearly a touchdown! No sense whatsoever in these referees!"

Tucker began to laugh, "Okay, let me continue. Knitting sweaters for his cats and watching the Packers! Man, this is priceless!"

"No, Aaron, you don't run! Throw- No. Aaron? Aaron?!"

Sam lit up with an idea and smirked, "Hey, I remember that game. Didn't Aaron Rodgers break his collar-bone?"

Vlad looked at her with a haunted look, "He what? I- I can't, I need to bake a sugary commodity to calm my nerves!" He put down his 'project' and walked to the kitchen, "Where does your mother keep the baking supplies, little badger?"

Danny winced, muttering, "I'm going to kill him once he's back to normal." His friends tried to control their laughter as they mouthed to him, 'Little badger?' He shrugged helplessly before calling back to the kitchen, "I dunno, somewhere in the cupboards."

"Thank you, anyway!" They heard some clanging, and Sam and Tucker lost it. Their laughs filled the whole house. Jazz came downstairs, curious about the noise. What she found, she was not prepared for. Danny was standing there, pouting, red in the face, and Sam and Tucker were on the ground clutching their stomachs.

"I missed something, didn't I?"

Vlad stuck his head out, and brightened, "Ah, Jasmine! Perhaps you can be a tad more helpful. Apologies, Daniel. I'm trying to find where your mother keeps her baking supplies."

She gave her brother a strange look. He gestured towards Vlad, telling her to help, and she reluctantly did. "Uh, sure, Vlad, it's just..." Her voice faded as they went in to the kitchen.

Danny sighed, "We have to think of a way to get him back to normal. We got me back to normal by making me realize things weren't cool without the ghost powers, and I was less effective without my human half. That's it! guys, follow my lead!"

He walked in to the kitchen. "You know, Vlad, if you're going to be talking to my dad, you should tell him the truth about what happened twenty years ago. You'd be being a bad friend if you lied."

"Hm. I suppose you're correct. Although, he mightn't like me, much. And who knows if he'll even believe me?"

Tucker caught on, "Well, it's pretty obvious- Ooh, darn."

"What? What is it?"

Sam helped the boys, "It's just that, if you and your ghost half hadn't separated, you could show Mr. Fenton proof, but since you aren't a halfa anymore..."

"Then I'll just have to reunite with my ghost half!"

Danny grinned, "Great! I'll go find him! When I find him, you come down to the basement, okay?"

Vlad nodded before continuing putting various ingredients in to a bowl.

Team Phantom was outside, trying to come up with a plan, "Okay, so how are we going to be doing this? Obviously Plasmius doesn't want to join back with Masters. So what do we need?"

"Well, we could try to trap him in the Thermos."

"No, I don't want to deal with a pissed off Plasmius. Next?"

"We could tie him up, I guess..."

"No, he'll just get out."

"Not if we use the fishing line from the Fenton Fisher and tie it into a net to put in the Fenton Net Launcher."

"Jazz, you're a genius! Let's go find Plasmius!"

"Where could that idiot murderer and his lovely flower be?" He looked around when something stung his right cheek. He held it, swiveling his head around to try to find the culprit and end them. "WHO IN THE- Guh!"

"Lookin' for me?" Danny called out, extinguishing his hand. He jumped to the side, avoiding the red energy being thrown at him. He hadn't expected Plasmius to recover so quickly. Wait, red?! Aw, crap...

"I WILL END YOU!"

"Crap!" Danny desperately leaped away, trying to avoid the bombardment of red ecto blasts being thrown at him. It was like Plasmius knew where he would go. Plasmius paused briefly to hiss at him,

"You don't seem to get it, Danny. I am more powerful than you, and I am more smart than you. I know you well enough to know exactly how you fight. Either tell me where your parents are now, or neither of our worlds will ever again hear the names Danny Fenton or Danny Phantom."

Danny panted, "Guys, c'mon!" He turned, too late, and held his stomach. He tried to fly backwards, away from Plasmius' oncoming fists. Plasmius duplicated, trapping him. They each relentlessly threw punches and green ectoblasts at him. Needing to bring the Plasmius count down, Danny took in a breath, readying his ghostly wail. Seeing this, Plasmius absorbed his duplicates and put his hand on Danny's mouth, gripping it tightly. Danny's eyes widened, he looked fearfully at him, sweating bullets.

"Can't let you go off quite yet. Or ever. I'm not finished with you, yet." Before he could continue, an ecto-net fell on him, separating him from Danny. He was tangled in it, until he grinned, "Oh, please, an ecto-net? Even Skulker is a better hunter than you three." He covered his hand in red energy and gripped the net, tearing it off of himself and throwing it aside. "Now, where were we?"

Danny breathed heavily, scared for the other half of his life. In a last ditch effort, he formed his legs in to a tail, and flew away from the ghost. He didn't fly in a straight line, hoping to throw him off. He new that plan didn't work when he felt a hand grab his tail. He gasped sharply, looking back, seeing Plasmius with a psychotically blood-thirsty grin.

"No more running. I am going to end you, right here, right now." He took off his glove, shaping his hand to one of a more monster-like shape. He drew back aiming his claws for Danny's chest. He jumped and started to dive it forward. Danny screamed and clenched his eyes shut. Just as one of the claws made a small scratch, they were pulled back. "Didn't you already try this trick?! IT'S USELESS!" Danny slowly opened his eyes to see Plasmius caught in the fishing net. He caught his breath, putting a hand to his chest. Plasmius attempted to escape from the net, and quickly found that it wasn't working. "What the hell?! Why can't I get out?!"

Jazz called to him from the ground, "Because that's anti-ghost line! You can't get out!" She pushed a button on her Launcher, reeling in the net.

He scoffed, "Oh, please! If it's anti-ghost, I just won't be a ghost!" Black rings formed faintly around his waist before fizzling out. "What the- NO! I can't turn human!"

Danny wiped his forehead, before transforming. "Gee, thanks, Jazz. Nice job cutting it close!"

She rubbed her neck sheepishly, "Sorry, Danny, I tripped back there and the gun went off. At least Sam and Tuck were still able to be the decoy! I bet he's missing that human form, right now."

"I am not! I will never miss that waste of space!"

"Guys, can we just get this over with? Every minute with this guy is too many." They all nodded, and walked back to Fenton Works with Plasmius floating behind them, spitting out curses.

"What in the name of all that is good is going on in here?!" Masters came out of the kitchen to see the four teenagers with Plasmius. His eyes widened a fraction, before he shook his head and walked down to the basement. He muttered, "Blasted Plasmius, always making a mess of things."

The teens followed him, bringing Plasmius along. Danny stopped at the top of the stairs. "Hey, guys? I think I'm just gonna stay up here. You go ahead." They nodded and went downstairs. Danny went to sit in the kitchen. He took a deep breath, "I can not face Vlad. Not after... that. I knew he was evil, but... I don't ever wanna see that again."

From the basement, he could hear, "I AM NOT GOING BACK TO A HALF-HUMAN EXISTENCE! YOU WILL NOT CONTROL ME!"

After some low voices, he could also hear, "For friendship!" He sighed, glad that it was over. Some more low voices, and footsteps getting closer. Someone was coming up the stairs. He listened for them to come closer. He watched the kitchen door for someone. He shivered when he saw that it was Vlad, back to normal. Feeling someone staring at him, he paused, and turned back to look in the kitchen. Danny watched as Vlad stopped to look at him. He filled with apprehension as he sat up a little straighter, and shrunk away slightly. Vlad, seeing this and remembering what happened, felt sympathy for the young halfa. His eyes softened as he nodded. Danny, cautiously, nodded back. Vlad left, satisfied with the response. They both told themselves to give the other some space before their next meeting.

AN: Well, there. That was... I actually kinda scared myself. Poor Danny. I liked it, though. Gave us a chance to view Vlad in two totally different lights. Don't worry, the new chapter of Secrets and Trips will probably be up soon!
