(Jack's POV) I left at midnight. The darkness swirled around me, uninviting. It was telling me to go back but I wouldn't even consider it until I reached the wall. I looked up. The wall went up high, but not much higher than anything I've flown. No one I know has tried to go over the wall, yet I know it has happened before. That's why it was put here. The DreamWorks characters and Disney characters weren't supposed to mix, but why? What could've happened that the leaders put a wall in between us? TO not let us mingle, but watch each other's movies, knowing that someone on the other side would be getting up to the elevators. That's why the before move adds are so long. It takes a while to get into first positions. I let my hands feel the wall. We were allowed to touch the wall, I had been pushed into it a few times before, but we were never supposed to climb it. No one would know if I just take a quick look over, right? I called the winds, feeling their presence, itching to take me off the ground. I was about to let them when I heard my name.
"Jack, Jack, what are you doing?"
"Hiccup, this isn't the time." Hiccup flew his dragon around all the time and I never knew the reason why he doesn't take a look over.
"Jack, don't tell me you are going to look over. It's not a good idea." Hiccup was fidgeting. That meant he wanted to come.
"Look, get your dragon and we can look over together! Just quickly, I want to see if they really do live the way we see in the movies!" I knew this wouldn't convince him, but I need to take a look.
Before he could answer the wind swept him off his feet, trailing him along behind me. The edge of the wall was getting closer, though I didn't have a lot of time. The sun was peeking over the valley and I need to get over that wall and out before anyone realises that I am not one of them. Hiccup made protests but soon got into the spirit as the end of the wall was a few centimetres away. I let my hands curl over the edge before saying, "You ready?"
Hiccup nods and I pull myself over the wall.
At first all I feel is the sensation of falling, then the ground threatens to kill me so I focus on other things. My bare feet land in the soft ground and I take in the view. Although everything is dark, I can clearly make out a market place, a few areas, the Disney castle and what looks like a tower peeking over the top of a very nice looking forest. I'm guessing the forests are the same as the ones we have on our side. Change colour and theme music depending on the mood of the movie. Hiccup gasps and I get pulled back into reality. "Let's get out of here, the sun's nearly up and I don't want to get caught over here. Everything is too….. Cheerful."
Despite Hiccup's protests, I pull him along a candlelit path until I'm satisfied with the amount I've seen. I'm about to turn and leave when I see movement out of the corner of my eye. "Get down!" I whisper at Hiccup, whose feet must make more of a racket than I thought with those fur boots on. With the amount of light given, all I can see is a dark purple hood and a streak of blonde hair. "Is anyone there?" A voice calls. Nothing horrible, which means we haven't run into an ugly step sister, but there is power behind the voice, like a person who has seen too much too quickly. I warn Hiccup not to make a sound, yet in doing so I crackle a few leaves, giving off our position.
"I know you are there so show yourself!" the voice calls back, and I have to step out soon. "Do you promise not to tell?" I know I sound young, yet this is the only way to say it in this realm. "I promise. But why would I-"her words are cut short when Hiccup and I step out of the bushes. "You're…You're…!" The hood drops back and I'm surprised to see Rapunzel, the princess from the movie Tangled.
"You promised. Please, I just wanted to see what it is like!"
I take her hand and kiss it, causing a blush to form and then spread on her cheeks.
"Pleased to meet you."
"The pleasure is all mine."
