Shouta, the guard, stared blankly at Naruto from the other side of the bars. The man's grip on his gun was tight, and his jaw clenched harder every time the blond made a stupid remark about anything that came to mind and humored him.

"Inmate, stop talking," the guard repeated for the twelfth time. Naruto smirked.

"Come on, dude. One manga, that's all I ask." The guard removes one hand from his gun, reaching for his baton attached to his utility belt.

"I will be forced to bash your teeth in if you do not remain silent, inmate," the guard grit sharply. Naruto let out a fake hiss.

"Ouch! That burned, Shouta!" Naruto grasped at his hand and kissed it, as if he actually had been singed. The sarcasm was never going to end, it seemed. The guard rolled his eyes and looked upwards, knowing it was a huge mistake to think telling the inmate he's supposed to keep watch on his name just for the sake of conversation because nobody else was around. Damn him. Seriously. He needs new friends. "Shouta!" Naruto called loudly, his deep voice echoing off the stone walls of the cell, ringing into the his ears. Shouta turned his head back to the blond and narrowed his eyes at him.

"Did you not hear what the fuck I just said, inmate?"

Naruto chuckled. The blond clutched his jumper in his hands and beat himself against the chest, bursting into laughter. "Wow. You thought that was a threat?" Naruto leaned forward and yelled, "Hey, guards!" His voice rang louder into the hall. "Shouta needs lessons on how to be a badass!" Naruto sits back after his announcement, immediately his face fading from hysterical to emotionless, leveling his blue eyes onto the guard. "Your ass is mine."

Sasuke's been ruffling through the same pile of papers for about thirty minutes. Kiba's had enough just staring at him literally do nothing. He'd called Neji over to help take his mind off of Sasuke's shit-bomb, but now he thinks Neji's pissed at him.

His long-haired friend's been giving him the death glare for about twenty-five minutes, watching him while Kiba was watching Sasuke.

"Kiba," Neji starts through gritted teeth, his knuckles are white as he's clutching the sleeves of his shirt with the strength he could use to strangle his dog-lover of a friend. Kiba stops him from finishing.

"Neji, I know. I'm a dick. I'm sorry. But shit is crazy right now and I need you." Neji blankly stares at Kiba with clear irritation written on his face. The Hyuuga, after a minute, takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly.

". . . You have Sasuke." Kiba doubles over. He's kidding, right? Neji's acting like they're not friends. Wow. So fucking funny, Neji. Kiba groans, running his hands over his face.

"Man, fuck you," Kiba says lightly. "No, I don't. Sasuke's lost his shit, I'm about to lose my shit. We need someone with a level head. That someone is you." Neji looks from Kiba to Sasuke who flips over a pile in search of a new one—one he's already looked through!

Kiba sighs heavily and scratches roughly at his head. He can't take this.

"Neji!"

"I don't even know what is going on with you two," Neji mutters. He pushes some hair from his shoulder to behind his back and folds his arms over his chest again. "Explain."

The sound of papers being flipped through stops. Kiba has heard it for so long now, the silence sends chills down his spine, making him unnerved.

Sasuke looks up from his pile of bullshit papers. "I . . . I . . ." Sasuke sighs, looking back down. Neji's eyes widen just slightly as he observes his two friends.

Sasuke is never speechless. He's quiet, reserved, and often irritated, but he doesn't just not say anything. Of all people, Neji knows he can speak in complete sentences. Neji turns to Kiba.

"Is he drunk?" Neji has to ask. Kiba's face flashes from anxious to pissed off in seconds when he yells, "No!" The Hyuuga eyes his friend warily. Something must be really wrong for these two to be this worked up. Naruto's already been arrested, so what's the problem if the problem is gone?

"If Sasuke's not drunk, what the hell is going on?" Neji says angrily. His nerves are shot. It's late in the afternoon, he was with TenTen just a bit ago, and now he wants a drink for himself, because his idiot friends are being, well, idiots.

Kiba groans agitatedly. "Sasuke wants to help him . . ."

Neji's heart stops for just a moment. His breathing slows to a stop as he takes in Kiba's words. Neji looks from idiot number one to number two, when Sasuke finally looks up, a look of guilt evident on his face. The Hyuuga's never seen Sasuke like that. Not even when he and Naruto were caught smoking weed near their school for the first time and were forced to apologize to the faculty.

Neji stands tall as he looks down at his pain-stricken friends. "Sasuke . . . Tell me you're lying."

No response comes from the raven-haired Uchiha.

Neji runs a hand over his face and sighs.

"Damn you both," he gripes.

Hinata's thrown up before. She's thrown up when Hanabi threw up on her when she had food poisoning. She vomited when she saw Sakura assist a pregnant woman in labor. She puked when Naruto accidentally cut himself when he got angry and grabbed a knife by its blade . . . This kind of throwing up was a whole new level, because it happened every day.

"Ugh," Hinata whimpers against her toilet. Why'd she have to be a girl? Hinata leans tiredly against the wall, her hand hovers over her stomach, the action nearly involuntary and automatic as the days continue on. "There's a baby . . ." She glances down and huffs. "Imagine if I puked you out . . ." Hinata chuckles. "Ah, that's so dumb." She finds it in herself to push up off the floor to her sink. Before she glances at herself in the mirror, she turns to flush the toilet. "Naruto-kun would be mad if I got rid of you," she mumbled. Hinata ran her mouth under the faucet water and spit.

Pregnant with no boyfriend. If Hinata had social media, her status update would have people explode. Maybe. She wouldn't know.

Ino and Sakura have been checking up on her almost daily, sending her early morning text messages and offering to come by to help make lunch that is "healthy for the baby". Since Hinata's been around the house more often, her younger sister had begun talking with her more.

Hinata still hasn't told anyone. She's worried she'll be disowned even more than she should be.

Hinata stares sadly at her own reflection. "I'll never be good enough for anyone, will I?" she wonders aloud softly to herself. Her hand runs over the expanse of her smooth, skinny belly. "I hope I can be a good mom to you," she whispers.

A sudden knock on the door jolts Hinata. The young girl nearly jabs her hip into the corner of the sink in fear. Hinata sighs when she looks down, noticing she only suffered a scratch, which she knows will turn red and purple later.

"Y-Yes?" she calls out softly. The knock sounds again followed by a voice.

"I've arrived home, Hinata," Neji says through the door. Surprise etches on Hinata's face.

Isn't it, like, nine in the morning?

"O-Oh. It's a bit early . . . Welcome home," Hinata says. She looks down at the sink and starts to gather together toothpaste and her toothbrush. She should start washing up; after all, she threw up. Twice.

"Thank you," Neji's deep voice softens. "I was out yesterday night . . ."

Hinata's eyebrow raises in curiosity as she starts to slowly brush her teeth.

"Were you with . . TenTen?" She gets a chuckle from Neji, which hearing him causes her to smirk to herself.

"No, no. I was. I spent the evening with Sasuke and Kiba." Hinata nods to herself.

"Oh." Hinata thinks back to the time when she confronted Sasuke. He knows. "How're the boys?" She can imagine her cousin shrugging behind the door as silence answers her.

"They're . . . doing okay."

Hinata eyes the lone door to the bathroom, continuing to scrub her teeth. "Did . . . Did Sasuke say anything?" she asks warily, but as nonchalantly as she could without sounding awfully suspicious.

Silence meets her again.

"Neji-san?" Hinata calls.

"Did he say anything to you?" Neji asks her. Hinata furrows her brows. Huh?

"No?" she answers, confused. Silence meets her again.

"Have you eaten?" Neji suddenly asks. Hinata shakes her head.

"No. Just woke up, actually."

"Good. I've gotten breakfast."

"Neji—"

"It'll get cold, so hurry on down," Neji says hastily. Hinata hears his heavy footsteps echo down the hall. She's left in silence staring back at herself in the mirror.

"Naruto-kun . . ."
