Disclaimer- I only own the plot.

So, um, here it is. I sorry it took so long I just had no idea were this story was going. I eventually got it after rereading everything I had wrote before and I got some inspiration so I opened up a doc and just wrote and well, this came out. I don't think it's too bad and it helps lead the way for everything to come. anyway, I'm gonna try to get the next chapter up next sunday but I make no promises. In addition to all that, I'm sorry this is so short but I like it and well that's goo enough for me.

It was late at night, the moon having already hit it's peak, when the came across Bane and his ship. It was timed in a way that would have been funny if the circumstances were different and Clary could get rid of that itching feeling that was building up between her shoulder blades.

"Who captains this ship?" A voice called out and Clary forced back a shiver. That was not a friendly voice, not in the slightest.

"Clarissa Morgenstern. I wish to speak to Bane." Clary called back, back straight and hands clasped together in front of her.

"Bane no longer captains this ship." The voice called back and Clary could hear a smirk in the unknown person's voice. That had not been what Clary was expecting, not in the slightest.

"Is that so?" She questioned, one hand moving to her blade unconsciously as to comfort her with the knowledge that it was there.

"Yes. Dropped his off at a port a few weeks ago. What is your business?" The person called back and Clary thew a glance at Jon and he nodded springing into action. They didn't need a fight, especially against whoever had taken over Bane's ship.

"I have no business." Clary called back, feeling the ship begin to move forward and she held back a silent thank you.

"You do or else you wouldn't have stopped." The voice sounded angry now and Clary was able to make out a blonde woman looking back at her and she couldn't help but glare and force herself to not take a step forward.

"I have no business with you Camille." Clary snarled, this time taking a step forward.

"Oh, I'm sure you do, you just don't want to admit it." The blonde chuckled and Clary was so much more grateful for the fact that they were moving now so she didn't launch herself across the water and onto the other ship because she was pretty sure she could make it, really sure. Clary wasn't always rational.

"I don't have business with you, I have a score to settle. That score just does not involve my crew nor my ship. Be thankful that it is so." Clary stated and the blonde eyed her, the smirk Clary had heard still plastered on her face.

"I think you ought to be thankful." Camille told her before turning on her heel and disappearing from sight. Clary glared after her and swung away on instinct, hand already moving to hit whoever had touched her, only to be caught by Jace.

"I think we should continue on course but it is not my call." He told her, a small furrow having appeared between his eyebrows as he looked at her, no studied her. She took a moment to relax and let out a deep breathe.

"We continue." She ordered in a soft voice before pulling her hand back and walking down the steps to her cabin, her red hair the last thing to disappear from sight. The Doors were talking quietly to themselves at the wheel and Jace walked, possibly sauntered, over to them slowly.

"-Camille. This is bad news." Sebastian stated and Jon nodded grimly.

"I know. We are going to have to find Bane and hope that anything that happens with Camille isn't to bad." Jon said. They both quieted one they noticed Jace.

"She said to continue on the course she set out." He told them and they eyed him for a moment. "What was that?" He asked after a few seconds under their dark eyed stares.

"We aren't drunk enough for that conversation." They told him in sync and Jace suppressed a heavy groan. This was all tied directly to them, the small family that ran the ship and well, Jace would be lying if he wasn't curious. Plus that was the same reply he had gotten out of Clary when he went digging for information.

"Why don't you go back down below deck like a good little runner. Tomorrow will bring more surprised for you than you'd think." Jon ordered, a small sneer on his face. Jace, in a different situation, would not have hesitated to throw a punch at someone who had talked to him like that and while he was sure he could have taken Jon, he couldn't have taken the other one with him. Plus, hitting Clary's brother wasn't exactly the way to get into Clary's good graces.

"I just might, I know there's a warm bed waiting for me down there." He told them with a smirk and it took the twins a few seconds to gather his meaning but by then Jace had also disappeared from stated and while Jon didn't like thinking about his sister in that way, in a mutinous way, he couldn't do anything but agree.

"I guess we have to wait it out and see." He said and Seb nodded his agree. There seemed to be a lot of waiting and seeing going on.
