Chapter 4: Agents Stark and Banner

It took Matt a second to process the agents appearance on his doorstep. A creeping sense of dread began climbing in his gut. He automatically reached toward their minds, already bracing himself for what he might find. The shorter haired one was mulling over a forgotten slice of pie as well as the waitress who had delivered it.

The other agents , the taller one's, thoughts confirmed Matt's suspicions. How did he find these creatures? Does he actually realize what they are? What they're capable of? What will he believe? Why is he just staring at-Matt broke eye contact and stepped back from the door. "Come in agents. How can I help the FBI?"

"Mr Parkman, my name is Agent Stark, this is agent Banner," the shorter agent introduced. "We have a couple of questions about an article you wrote recently."

"The mysterious disappearances," Matt crossed his arms. "What did you want to know?" Agent Banner stepped forward. "Mr Parkman, the names you listed all vanished under similar circumstances. We just want to figure out who would want to make such a random grouping of people disappear. Any idea why someone would target these people?" Matt only caught a flash of a thought from Banner -dangerous. How can we kill-. Enough was enough.

"Let's cut the facade agents. You came here to silence me. I don't know if they've reopened Building 23, but you have no idea who you're dealing with. Maybe they prepped you for me, but not even the government could stop him." Matt jerked a thumb back at Sylar. The agents exchanged a look of confusion. "Mr Parkman I think there's been a misunder-" Stark was silenced as Sylar telekintekly pushed him against the wall. Banner reached for his gun, but Sylar was too quick for him. Banner slammed next to his partner with a grunt. Both agents strained against their invisible bonds. Matt stepped forward, prepared to deliver a scathing warning when the words died in his lips. The look on the agents' face surprised him. They looked frustrated, not scared or helpless but pissed off. Like this was nothing new.

"Who are you?" Matt demanded. "Even a Company agent would be peeing himself in front of Sylar and I. If you won't tell me, I'll pull it from your mind. So lets do this the easy way."

"What, you haven't heard of us?" Banner let out a snort. "That's a first. Half the nasty things in this world know who we are. We're the Winchesters, and as soon as I get down from here I'm going to gank you two." Sylar snorted loudly. "Please, I invite you to try. I don't know who you people are, but you picked a fight with the wrong people."

A woosh sound from behind made Matt spin around, and his jaw dropped. Standing behind him was a black haired man in a trench coat. In his arms lay an unconscious Peter Petrelli. He and Sylar moved toward this new arrival, forgetting about the agents behind them until Matt registered the cocking a pistol. He turned to face both agents, now staring at him with heat in their eyes.

"Thanks for the save Cas," Banner said, never once taking his eyes, or gun off Sylar.

"Who are you?" Sylar demanded. "How did you find Peter?"

"Wait, you know this guy?" Matt demanded of the agents.

"All will be answered, Sam and Dean these men are not your enemies," the man, Cas said. Stark lowered his gun reluctantly while Banner kept his trained. "I don't know Cas, they have a funny way of showing it. Who are they? What are they?"

"They are the tool of this world's deliverance Dean. You will need their aid if you wish to survive the coming storm," Cas paused, looking grim. "We all will."
