To xxXTheySayI'mEvilXxx: Thx for da cow XD I shall cherish it forever. And you'll see who Kristoff is in this chapter, so rejoice.
To Purplecatlover93: I actually dunno where I got the name Carissa. It's the first thing that came to mind.
To anyone else reading this: enjoy. Oh, and by the way, Let it Go was hard to rewrite, so like Love is an open Door, it will be mostly the same.
~Chapter 4~
As Morro trekked up North Mountain, he clutched his exposed hand, in vain attempt to keep from using his dreaded powers again. He looked down on Arendelle, but could not see anything but snow blowing in the strong mountain winds. He sighed.
"The snow glows white on the mountain tonight, not a footprint to be seen... a kingdom of isolation, and it looks like I'm the king," He proceeded to walk up the face of the mountain as the wind blew sharp flakes of ice and snow onto his face.
"The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside, couldn't keep it in, heaven knows I've tried," Growing less shy and isolated, he went from a slow walk to a slight jog.
"Don't let them in, don't let them see. Be the good boy you always have to be, conceal don't feel, don't let them know..." He looked at his still gloved hand, then ripped the glove off. "Well, now they know!"
"Let it go, let it go, can't hold me back anymore," With the flick of his hand, snow swirled up into the air.
"Let it go, let it go, turn away and slam the door," Morro created more snow behind him, then used his wind to blow it all away as if closing a door.
"I don't care what they're going to say, let the storm rage on... the cold never bothered me anyway."
Morro smirked mischievously as he unbuttoned his cloak and let it fly away. He walked through the snow, which was about up to his knees.
"It's funny how some distance makes everything seem small, and the fears that once controlled me can't get to me at all..." His light jog immediately turned to a sprint as he ran to the edge of a cliff.
"It's time to see what I can do to test the limits and break through. No right, no wrong, no rules for me... I'm free!" Morro took a step forward and a snow bridge appeared before him. He used his wind to blow the snow away as he ran.
"Let it go, let it go, I'm the wind, the snow, and sky, let it go, let it go, you'll never see me cry," He had now reached the other side of the cliff. He slammed his foot down, creating an icy floor-resembling platform. "Here I stand, and here I'll stay... let the storm rage on."
He was astonished by all he was capable of. He began creating his own palace of ice and snow. Of course, the additional AC as well using wind.
"My power flurries through the air into the ground," he created a chandelier.
"My soul is spiraling with frozen fractals all around," He finished the walls.
"And one thought crystallized is like an cy blast," He stopped moving for a moment, so he could marvel at his new creation.
"I'm never going back," He tore his crown off of his head. "The past is in the past!" He threw the crown aside and began to create one last thing; a change in wardrobe.
"Let it go, let it go... and I'll rise like the break of dawn," at this, Morro created his outfit. Instead of the black knee-high boots, light grey pants, and light blue shirt (I dunno) he was wearing before, he had blue ice knee-high boots, white pants, a light grey shirt, and a blue cloak.
"Let it go, let it go, that perfect boy is gone. Here I'll stand in the light of day," He was now outside on his balcony.
"Let the storm rage on! The cold never bothered me anyway." He smiled and strolled inside. He slammed the door shut.
Meanwhile, Lloyd was climbing North Mountain with his horse. "Morro? Morro it's me, Lloyd! You're brother who didn't mean to make you freeze the summer. I'm sorry! Its all my f-f-fault!" Suddenly, a tree fell over scaring the horse. It bucked Lloyd off and ran away. "No no no no NO!" Lloyd sighed and stood shivering. He began to walk away.
A few hours later, Lloyd was talking to himself. "Wind and snow. It HAD to be wind and snow. Why not summer powers, with the sun and sand and-" Lloyd suddenly saw a thin sheet of smoke beyond a lake. "Fire!" he slid.
He landed in an almost frozen late. "Ugh..."
He continued walking until he got to a small shop. He hit the sign. "Jason and Ronan's trading post," he read. "Oh, and sauna." He walked inside. The store was stocked with summer stuff.
"Hello!" said an energetic voice. Lloyd turned and saw a young teenager with auburn hair and a scar on his left eyebrow. "Oh, hi." Lloyd said. "Can I help you, random person who just walked into my shop that I clearly don't know?" the shopkeeper asked. "Where's the winter department?" Lloyd asked. "Over there," the shopkeeper, Jason, pointed to a corner. The only supplies were a pickaxe, a rope, two blankets, gloves, and boots. Lloyd walked over to the winter supply and got the blankets, gloves, and boots.
"Has a young man, the king perhaps, pass through here by any chance?" Lloyd asked. "Nope! The only one crazy enough to be out in this storm is you, my guy." Jay said. Suddenly, a young woman with heavy winter gear walked in. "Well, you and this dude..." Jay corrected. The woman walked towards Lloyd.
"Carrots." She stated simply. "Huh?" Lloyd was now backed into the counter. "Behind you." The woman narrowed her eyes. "Oh, sorry." Lloyd moved and allowed her to get the carrots. She walked to the winter supply.
"Interesting, it snowing in summer, huh?" said another voice. Lloyd turned and saw another man restocking shelves. "Yeah, where do you think it's coming from?" Jay asked. Lloyd knew it was from Morro, but he didn't think the others knew. "North mountain." The woman replied. Everyone looked at her as she placed a sack of carrots, the pickaxe, and rope on the counter.
The man that was restocking the shelves (Lloyd guessed it was Ronan) came and took over at the counter. "That's 40." Ronan said. "No, 10." The woman protested. "40." Ronan said again. While the duo was fighting, Lloyd thought back to what the woman had said before. "North mountain..." he whispered to himself.
"Common, cut me some slack. Tens all I got." The woman begged. "In that case... nope, still 40." Ronan smirked. "Dude, I sell ice for a living." The woman pointed to her sled outside. "Eek, that's a tight business to be in right now. I mean really," Lloyd began. Everyone glared at him. "Ahem... hmm unfortunate." Lloyd looked at the ground. "Ten." The woman said again. "40." Ronan protested.
"Hey, um... when you were on north mountain... did it seem, I dunno... magical?" Lloyd asked. "Yes, now back up so I can deal with this crook here." She shoved Lloyd over a bit.
"What did you call me?" Ronan asked. "Uhh... heh..." Ronan picked up the woman and threw her out of the shop. As this was happening, Jay took over.
"Sorry about that. Just the boots, gloves, and blankets?" Jay asked. "Um..." Lloyd glanced over at where the woman was.
Meanwhile, the woman had found a place to sleep with her reindeer. She got out her banjo and began to strum.
"Reindeers are better than people, Rey, don't you think that's true?" She must've been mentally insane, cause she began talking for her reindeer. "Yes, people will beat you and curse you and cheat you. Every one of them's bad, except you," she now began talking like herself again. "Awe, thanks buddy. But people smell better than reindeers. Rey, don't you think I'm right?" She looked over at her reindeer, Rey. "That's once again true, for all except you." She smiled. "You've got me, let's call it a night. Goodnight, don't let the frostbite bite..." she slid her winter cap over her eyes, getting comfortable for sleep.
"Nice duet." said Lloyd, opening the door. "Ahh!" The woman sat up immediately. She sighed, after realizing who it was. "Oh, it's just you. What do you want," she glared at him. He replied quickly, "I want you to take me up to north mountain." "I don't take people places." She said.
Lloyd threw a bag containing the rope and pickaxe onto the woman. "Ow." She rubbed her forehead, which is where the bag happened to land. "Oh, sorry! Ahem, take me to north mountain." Lloyd repeated. "Fine, we leave at dawn," she lay back down. "And you forgot the carrots for Rey." Then, Lloyd threw another bag onto her. "Sorry! Ahem, we leave now. Right now." Lloyd stayed put until she got up. "Fine." She sleepily trudged outside, followed by Lloyd and the reindeer.
Oh, you didn't find out who she was yet... hee hee hee 😜
Anyway, I'm likely gonna update again today. Sorry about not updating yesterday. I was busy with work and finishing homework then stuff... yeah. Anyway, yeah. Sorry I changed some quotes. I wanted to add something a bit more original. And Rey... interesting reindeer name, don't you think? And if you REALLY wanna know who Kristoff is, read my other fanfic "A Garmadon Family Christmas". She's mentioned in one of the chapters. Heres a hint if you do read to see who she is: it says she was framed on a Halloween.
If you find out who it is, let me know. Anyway, have a good day/night
