Chapter 4:

"What prophecy do you speak of?" Legolas asked.

"It was made by a woman, who had gone mad by staring into the flames of Mount Doom for too long. She said that Mount Doom was no ordinary mountain, but one that creates a shortcut to the distant future. She said;

After the war with a thing called pure evil

young men and women shall rise through a gate

and this gate made by this very mountain

so this gate will come to its own flesh and blood.

And a being shall use this advantage

to restore his last fragment of himself.

O' and what happens, when something falls

Into this mountain of evil and doom?

It goes to the mountains own flesh and its own blood.

The elves will cry, and sing, and die

the dwarves will mine, and sing, and die

and the hobbits will fight, and sing, and die.

After the last battle in the night."

"Are you saying we are destined to die?" Legolas asked Gandalf.

"I believe that there will be a battle, but I do not know about -" suddenly there was the sound of an arrow being shot, and Legolas turned around. It flew just above his ear. Legolas looked up and shot without even thinking. The arrow hit the thing in the neck, but just what was this thing? Legolas ran up to find out, and Gandalf followed, along with Marry, Pippin, and Harry along with his gang.

"It seems to be made of a type of metal.." Legolas said. It had the shape of a human, but was made of a bronze-colored metal. Also, its arms didn't flow into hands, but two double edge swords, and its eyes were hollow, it had no nose, or a mouth. Legolas stood up.

"It is dead." he said. Suddenly there was a whirring from the robot thing, and it stood up again. It raised its arm so it was parallel to the floor, and a cylinder looking thing lowered from his arm, and arrows began shooting from it. Legolas jumped out of the way, and shot out arrows to hit the robot. Harry shot out a spell, but it only bounced back and hit the floor.

"We need to run!" Legolas said. Pippin and Marry began running downhill.

"Bilbo's old house has a secret tunnel that leads just outside of The Shire, come on!"

"I'll stay here!" Legolas called. "It will only follow you! I'll make sure to last long enough so you can escape!" he said. Nobody moved.

"Go, now!" and everybody ran down the hill and into Bilbo's house.

Marry and Pippin showed the others the tunnel, and they ran into it, none of them looking back.

Meanwhile, both Legolas and the robot had ran out of bullets.

"I know I cannot kill you, demon. So kill me now." Legolas said. He kneeled down, his head facing the floor. The robot lifted up its arm, and slashed it down.
