*****Chapter four*****

Any breath that was in my lungs froze in place, and my eyes widended to a painful width. Did I just say that? What is the matter with me?

Angry and embarrassed,I pulled back with all my might, but he let me go easily; probably rooted to the spot with confusion. My eyes didn't know where to look, my hands couldn't find places to stay and my mouth was without fuel or thought.

"I-I um...I ah...w-well, I b-better b-b-be g-going. Um...y-yes." I whipped around and sprinted up the stairs and out the door.

Why?

As I bolted from the mansion, a thought slithered into my mind, I didn't really have anywhere to go. Charlie? He was nice, but regardless of his pleasantries, he still blamed me for...for what happened. He did. I know he did.

So where are you going, Robyn? One part of me asked.

Away. Anywhere but this house. I'll go for a walk.

A walk? Really? That's your grand escape? You know Dr. Cullen could just walk at a normal pace and find you in seconds?

So why hasn't he followed me now?

Go ask him.

No!

Fine, have it your way, Dearie.

My feet scrambled out across the gravel driveway, towards the woods. This would help, the timeless forests of anywhere would always help clear my mind. As I continued my journey to nowhere, my head was so far away that I did not see the fading sun and the rolling clouds of dark rolling in, I also failed to notice the direction I was going. I was going nowhere but the wild, I didn't care. I was a silly girl.

It seemed like I had been walking for hours, and in reality, I was. Judging by the darkness enveloping the moss ridden trees and myself, more than a few hours had passed. My feet were beginning to grow numb and tired, along with my legs. Where was I?

My eyes blinked in a hazy sleep, wanting to close. Just as my limbs seemed to give out, my eyes swept up to meet a welcomed sight. An oak tree, massive in size and ancient in years, stood not four meters away. I stumbled over to it, finding a comfortable place in the roots and settled there.

I'll just...close my eyes for a while...so tired.

A dreamless sleep claimed my mind, I didn't care anymore. I just wanted to close my thoughts off and give myself up for taking. I was sure the only person that really cared about me now hated me or simply resented me, but that wasn't the worst. I didn't mind being alone, I was alone most of the time anyhow, but the worst was that now not a single being in the world would miss me.

I guess I really am a sad little waste of space.

"Little Bird!"

I looked down to see my angel of blonde below my feet. The age old branches of the giant Dogwood obscured him, but he was the only one that called me that, I deduced that everyone had gone hunting due to the fact that he really only called me "Little Bird" when we were on our own.

"Hello Dr. Cullen!" I called down to him softly, knowing full well that he could hear me. I saw him motion for me to come down, and with one last look at the clear sky, I began my decent. Being a simple human, I was slow, and to be honest, I was very self-conscious of this. By this time, Emmett would have jumped up and brought me down before I could blink, but Mr. Cullen always waited. I was on the last branch, but my movements were clumsy and tired and I fell. Expecting to collide with the unforgiving ground, I clenched, only to be caught in a firm embrace.

Looking up, I was met with the close proximity of my savior. I could never truly tire of those honeyed eyes, especially his; they were the only ones in the Cullen clan that completely held mine with kindness.

My gaze softened, and a faint blush stained my cheeks, my light smile grateful.

"T-Thank you."

His eyes didn't stray from mine as he let me down, once my feet touched earth, I snapped to reality and remembered why I had nearly fallen on my bottom.

"W-What was it that you c-called me down for, Sir?"

He shook his head, he had an odd look in his eyes at that moment, but I brushed it off as a long day wearing down on him.

"I wanted to make you something to eat, it's nearly six thirty, so the sun will be going down soon," He added looking straight into me, "Perhaps you would enjoy watching the last light of the day diminish with me?"

"Of course! So, what's for dinner?" I asked playfully. I enjoyed those times. It was quiet and peaceful with just him and I in the mansion; no drama, screwing, smashing or cursing. Just calm.

I set my empty plate aside on the rocks under us. We were perched on a bundle of stone that just over-looked the water; a simple hop, skip and a jump for Carlisle, but he had to be mindful with my food and I.

"Thank you...this was wonderful." I stated wistfully as the sun's light disappeared.

"It was. I never tire of the sun's awakening and bedding, it's one of the only things in this world that I will miss when I'm gone,"He smiled a small sad smile, "One of truly lovely occurrences of this world."His gaze stayed on the darkening horizon.

"Well,we can't let you leave just yet! You only just got here; why, you are a young man!"I poked him in the side jokingly, but I meant it, "You're not going anywhere, not while I'm around." I added quietly.

I shivere as the evening breeze licked up my body.

"Come on, Robyn, let's get you inside, hm?" He look my clean plate and stuck it under one arm, holding the other out to me. Clambering up into his arms, we jumped off, landing into the backyard of the Cullen household moments later. A smile tugged at my pink lips as I slid down to the ground. My soul always soared when I ran with one of them.

"Now that's one of the things I'll never tire of."

"What's that?"I looked up at him, only to see him flick his eyes away from me quickly.

"Let's go inside, Sweetheart. You're almost as cold as me."With that, he wrapped his comfortingly strong arms around my small frame, a secret grin playing my lips.

My dream consumed me. I didn't hear the pouring of rain, nor the sounds of inhuman foot steps. I didn't hear my name being called desperately into the night. I didnt feel the icy arms of someone I loved engulf my deathly form, and I didn't see the tears of venom pooling in honey gold eyes.

A/N:Please review now that I have updated!:)Your lovely words make my day! I hope you enjoyed this chapter c: I know you're all waiting for some Robyn/Carlisle scenes, and they will come, but I wanted to establish more of their relationship before we get into that. Due to the fact that this is an Oc, and we don't really know her as well as say Bella and Eddie over there, I didn't want for it to be too strange and creepy. Anyways, I hope to update within the next week or two, so please bare with me!see you lovelies later c:
