Ivan gave Matthew some space. He avoided being too close to Matthew as the brothers took the camp down, and also when Alfred ushered the dragon and Matthew into their car as he burned Carlos's belongings and the body itself. But, Ivan could only be so far away when they piled into the car, most of their things in the trailer being pulled along behind. And besides, Ivan still longed to hold Matthew. He had always felt a special fondness for the cute. The innocent.

And that was Matthew. Cute, innocent and sweet Matthew, with a hint of a hidden siren that sang to Ivan.

It was hard for Ivan to believe that he had only just met Matthew not even 24 hours ago, and yet still cared for him so much. Could it have been the willingness to let Ivan take what he needed to save his brother? Or could it have simply been that Matthew was the first human he'd seen since waking up? Could it have been that Ivan simply thought Matvei to be an angel on earth?

Ivan wasn't sure, if it was looks than he would have felt some attraction to Alfred, the two brothers were damn near twin-like in appearance. But he didn't. Yes, Alfred was attractive as far as human's go, but Matthew had an enchanting way about him. Ivan wondered if Matthew possessed blood of a fairy or another beautiful ethereal creature. But Matthew was human.

Ivan peered over to Matthew who sat with his arms crossed, and head leaning against the clear thing. Ivan sighed. What was it called again? Car? Win-Window!

That's what it was! A window.

Ivan looked to the one on his side and tapped it with his nail a few times. It was clear and made a sound that he couldn't quite explain. Alfred mentioned that Ivan would have to understand that things... weren't going to be the same.

Matthew had gone back into the cave, Ivan's room, to take a few photos of the walls and structure.

While his arms were crossed, he felt the familiar bag on his lap, the canister's filled with film that he desired to develop to try and determine what era they were from.

When exactly had Ivan come from?

Matthew remembered Ivan mentioning human's being in caves. But was that supposed to help? Did Ivan come from a time before hunters and gathers? Did Ivan live during the Paleolithic or the Old Stone Age era? There was no evidence to support that... Matthew knew of no bones being uncovered that could possibly pass as Dragons.

Unless...was it possible that Dragon's predated Dinosaurs? Where Dragon's immortal?!

Matthew looked back to Ivan and saw him tapping at the window. "It's translucent... That means that it lets light through it so you can see both ways."

Ivan looked back at Matthew and lowered his hand, "Why?"

"So you can see. That way you don't hit anything while driving."

"Ah."

"I'm sorry."

"For what?"

"For... not being able to describe this stuff to you."

"You don't have to apologize for that Matvei, it's not a bad thing that things have changed. I'll learn about this world."

Matthew nodded, "Okay. You can ask Alfred and I if you need help with anything... "

Ivan nodded, "I wi-"

"Yo! Anyone need to take a piss before we go?" Alfred asked as he yanked the door open.

"Alfred!"

"What? I don't want to stop every five minutes because you felt the need to hold it as to avoid peeing on a tree."

Matthew looked away and pouted, "I'm fine."

"Ivan? You okay?"

"Da."

"Alfred, don't forget your seatbelt." Matthew reminded Alfred who put his on. "Same to you Ivan."

Ivan tilted his head and looked to the side, a piece of weird thin string and another odd looking thing on it there. "How do I put it on?"

"Mattie..."

"Right." Matthew undid his buckle and turned so he could help Ivan with his. He leaned closer to Ivan and took the belt and pulled it forward then over Ivan and plugged it in to the buckle. "There you go. When we stop and you want out just press this part here." He quickly explained as he noticed that Ivan had leaned closer to him. Matthew moved back a little, "Did you understand that?"

"Da, thank you Matvei."

"Dude, it's Matthew, not Matvei."

"Is what I said."

"No, it wasn't."

"Da, it was."

"Nope!"

"Matvei, does it bother you that I say your name differently?"

Matthew flinched as he sat back down and did his seatbelt, "its fine... you do have an accent so it might be harder to say, Matthew," he explained.

"Dude!"

"It's okay Alfred, really." Matthew smiled, to help ease the suddenly tense atmosphere, "Can we just go? I want to... shower. Alone." He added as an afterthought.

"Yeah, sure," Alfred sighed and started the car. He hadn't thought much about the 'alone' since he and Matthew sometimes showered together to save water.

Ivan leaned against the car door and window, closing his eyes. No need to stay awake when he could explore everything later.

Getting Ivan into their house went better than expected. They worried about neighbors seeing them as they went into their one level apartment. But, they forgot that it would be late by the time they got home.

Under the cover of night, Ivan was ushered into the small home and the only problem they had was when the topic of where Ivan would sleep came up.

"Why not?" Alfred questioned, seeing no problem with his suggestion.

"Becuase he's not a dog-"

"He's not human. Dragon's are essentially animals!"

"You don't know that!"

"Matvei, I am fine sleeping on the floor..."

Both brothers gave Ivan a quick look telling him to shut up. Well, Matthew at least said to remain quite while Alfred had a more colorful tone.

"He can sleep on the floor-"

"Alfred for the last time he's a guest so he can sleep in the guest bedroom! And no pancakes if you keep arguing with me!"

Alfred gasped, "Yoy wouldn't!"

Matthew crossed his arms, "I would."

Gulping, Alfred nodded, "Okay."

Matthew grinned and said that he'd make pancakes breakfast. That caused Alfred to smile and hug Matthew tightly. Matthew made the best, pancakes after all! But Alfred didn't notice as Matthew stiffened at the contact, he didn't notice how Matthew's hands shook ever so slightly or how when Alfred finally let go, he adjusted his clothing quickly as if to cover himself up more.
