Chapter 4: Lily's Summer Training-Lesson
Today is the day Lily had been waiting for; the day Lily's family had been dreading. Yes it is all right that Lily was accepted and going to Hogwarts for the term, but heading off early in the summer? That's absurd! But alas they can't do anything about it. Lily has been ready earlier that morning, she sat in the living room loveseat with her trunk and owl near her; Ganymede Lily's owl is sleeping peacefully. Lily kept glancing at the living room clock but it was only 8:15 am. She can tell that her family's very nervous as well; her father was reading the morning paper but she can see that he was shaking slightly; her mother was sitting on another chair doing her embroidery. Lily also noticed that she mother's left thumb, index and middle fingers were bleeding and she knew that her mother had pricked her finger several times judging by the amount of small red dots on them but her mother didn't seem to mind or her mind was somewhere else. And Petunia was sitting near her reading a book, but Lily noted that Petunia doesn't seem to get off the page she had been reading for a whole hour now. They had been like this ever since she told them that there would be someone to take her to Hogwarts…
Flashback
The Evans family was having a very peaceful breakfast that morning, and Lily was really quiet that morning. Usually she would be the one to initiate a conversation but now she just stayed silent. Rosa noticed this odd behaviour of her daughter though and decided to ask.
"Lily dear, what's wrong? Is something bothering you?"
Lily turned her attention from her plate to her mother, she just stared at Rosa –– not saying anything at all just continued to chew and swallow. She turned her gaze back to the plate, again not saying anything. Rosa sighed.
"Lily, tell me what is bothering you right now."
It wasn't a request, it was a command. And it left Lily no choice but to obey her mother, Lily exhaled and swallowed the food she had put in her mouth. She turned to her mother and noticed that the whole table's attention was on her; she put her cutlery down.
"Last night a letter came to me…it was from the school that accepted me."
"And?" Petunia urged when Lily left the sentence hanging a bit.
"They informed me that someone was going to pick me up this Saturday morning at 9 o'clock sharp." Lily explained.
The whole table was silent, not a word was said when Lily told them of what had been in the letter that was addressed to Lily.
"What, they are coming to take you away so early?!" Petunia exclaimed.
Lily nodded but she was looking down at her lap as if she had found it interesting than anything else in the room. The other occupants of the table were wide eyed; they knew that this was going to happen but not this fast! They weren't ready to give Lily away yet, but they knew that they had to for Lily to learn how to control her magic.
"We'll miss you sweetheart." Rosa said getting up and hugging Lily followed by Petunia and Jeff, they all shared a heartfelt hug.
End of Flashback
…but that was 3 days ago. But then again she really had grown real close to them; real family or not they had willingly taken her in when she was wounded physically and emotionally. They had healed her albeit not fully but healed her nonetheless.
Lily glanced at the time again and the clock read 8:29 only 14 minutes have passed, only 31 minutes to go. Lily sighed for what seemed the 20th time in the last 3 hours of waiting. She frowned remembering something. Severus had given Lily the train ticket to Hogwarts, and told her how to get to the platform. But then a letter suddenly arrives telling her that someone was picking her up and take her to Hogwarts, they could have just sent her a note telling her that she would have to go to Hogwarts early and waited for her there…
Lily's train of thought was cut off when the doorbell rang scaring the daylights out of her family making them jump. Jeff, Rosa and Petunia held their breaths just listening to the door hoping that it was just their imagination –– but it wasn't, the doorbell rang again making them tense. Lily stared at them intently wondering who would answer the door, she looked at the clock and sighed sadly. It read 9:00. Lily glanced back at her family when the doorbell rang a third time.
"Mom, there's someone at the door. Aren't you going to answer it?" Lily said looking at her mother.
Rosa who was frozen still with her eyes wide and holding her unfinished embroidery mid pierce of the needle, turned her attention to Lily her eyes widening even more if that was even possible at all. The doorbell rang again.
"Mum, the door." Lily said taking Rosa out of her trance.
Rosa stood up, took a deep calming breath to stop herself from shaking and fixed her clothes. She went out of the living room and went to the door; she grasped the knob taking another deep breath before opening it. On the other side of the door stood a woman who wore normal clothing but looked strict, Rosa sighed in relief and had not gone unnoticed by the visitor. The woman merely raised her eyebrow in question but Rosa didn't seem to have noticed it.
"Hello, how may I help you?" she greeted the woman politely smiling.
"Good morning Madam, is this the home of Ms. Lily Evans perhaps?" the woman asked in the same politeness.
After hearing this Rosa froze her eyes widened slightly at the mention of her daughter's name.
"Yes – yes of course, come in." Rosa nodded stiffly and stepped aside for the woman to go through.
"Right this way." Rosa said showing the woman the way to the living room and to where Lily was.
"Everyone this is… um excuse me madam, but I'm afraid I didn't catch your name." Rosa said looking apologetic.
"Oh! I'm so sorry, my mistake. I haven't introduced myself. I am Minerva McGonagall, Deputy Headmistress, Head of the Gryffindor House and Transfiguration Teacher at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." the woman who is now known as Minerva McGonagall introduced herself, nodding her head to them.
"Ah, well I am Rosa Mae Misawa-Evans; Lily's mother and this is my husband; Jefferson Johnson Evans her father." Rosa said.
"Pray tell which of these two young girls, is Lily Evans?" McGonagall said looking at both girls seated not far from each other.
"Oh, um… the one with the blonde hair and brown eyes is Petunia Daisy Evans, my daughter. And the one with red hair and green eyes is my other daughter; Lily Jasmine Evans." Rosa introduced Petunia and Lily rather reluctantly, especially when she introduced Lily.
Lily and Petunia smiled and nodded as they were introduced to McGonagall, who in return nodded to them as well.
"Are you ready, Ms. Evans?" McGonagall asked.
"Yes I am, Madam McGonagall." Lily said standing up.
"Very well, where are your things? McGonagall asked.
"Here they are." Lily said gesturing at her things beside her feet.
"All right, let your owl out." Lily looked at McGonagall questioningly.
"I will shrink your things except your owl." McGonagall explained.
"Oh."
Lily opened Ganymede's cage, Ganymede stepped out of the cage onto Lily's arm. And Lily went to the open window of the living room; she was about to make him fly away but McGonagall stopped her.
"Tell your owl go to Hogwarts."
"Ganymede, go to Hogwarts all right boy? I'll see you there when I arrive." Lily told him and Ganymede hooted and flew away.
When Lily turned around to face McGonagall, the woman has already shrunk her things including her broom. McGonagall held them in her hands, Lily walked over to McGonagall to have a look at her shrunken things.
"I will un-shrink them when we get to Hogwarts." McGonagall said handing the stuff to Lily.
Lily nodded putting them in her pocket, McGonagall then walked to the front door waiting for Lily. Lily noticed that McGonagall was at the front door waiting for her, she got the signal. With a sad sigh she turned to her family.
"I'll miss you mom, dad and tunia." Lily said hugging each of them.
"Bye Lily, write to us how you while you're there alright?" Petunia said sniffling.
"I will tunia." Lily smiled sadly at them and went to McGonagall.
"Take my hand Ms. Evans." McGonagall instructed once they were outside.
Lily did as told and held McGonagall's hand, suddenly the surroundings in Lily's eyes went by all blurry and Lily felt that she was going to throw up her breakfast. Lily closed her eyes to fight the sickness that was forming on her stomach.
"You can open your eyes now Ms. Evans." McGonagall said.
Lily opened her eyes and instantly regretted it, for her sickness only returned with a vengeance. She held her stomach and mouth made a gagging sound which had McGonagall slightly amused.
"It is only your first time in side apparition, you would definitely feel sick and it's the same with using portkeys. I 'd be surprised if you didn't feel sick right now, here you are." McGonagall said handing Lily a small vial with a clear liquid that is watery in consistency.
"What is it?" Lily asked looking at the liquid.
"This is a Motion Sickness Relieving Potion, relieves motion sickness." McGonagall explained. (A/N: I made the potion up because I don't know if there is a potion for motion sickness)
Lily took the vial, uncorked it and downed all of its contents, Lily expected a very awful taste but instead she got a slightly sour taste. She grimaced at the slight sourness of the potion but felt that her motion sickness had disappeared. She returned the vial to McGonagall and she smiled.
"Thank you." Lily said and McGonagall smiled and nodded in return.
"Come the Headmaster is waiting for you at his office." McGonagall said turning to walk inside of the castle.
They passed hallways and corridors, they turned left and right. Lily looked about her surrounding taking it all in, she saw moving characters in the paintings as if it were a television. She also saw moving armours, and she was in awe of the castle. She felt the castle's magic hum in greeting to her, but she didn't tell that to McGonagall. They finally reached a stone gargoyle.
"Licorice Wands." McGonagall said making Lily look at McGonagall questioningly from behind but didn't say anything, she looked back at the gargoyle and her eyes widened as the gargoyle stepped aside to let them in.
They stepped inside and went up a set of staircase that led to a door at the end. McGonagall knocked at the door and a 'come in' was heard from the other side, and McGonagall entered first followed by Lily who was looking around the office. McGonagall saw that the Headmaster had a visitor she raised her eyebrow in a curious manner.
"I didn't know you were going to be having a visitor today Albus." McGonagall said.
"As did I Minerva, but I do love surprises. And a surprise guest is welcome anytime." the Headmaster, Albus Dumbledore said.
As the Headmaster said this, Lily saw that he had a twinkle in his eyes, and that twinkle did not sit with Lily well at all. Lily narrowed her eyes slightly, unnoticeable by the Headmaster and the Deputy Headmistress; but was noticed by the visitor sitting on a chair in front of the Headmaster's desk.
'Good, she has already felt that she could not trust this man at all.' the mysterious person thought.
"May I inquire as to who our visitor is?" McGonagall said, looking slightly suspicious of the visitor.
"My dear Professor McGonagall, this is Lunarina de Soleil. Madam Soleil, this is our Deputy Headmistress, Transfiguration Professor and Head of the Gryffindor House; and of course our new student, Ms. Lily Evans." the Headmaster introduced.
"Madam Soleil here is applying for the position of Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor." Dumbledore explained.
Professor McGonagall nodded and sat down on the chair that Dumbledore transfigured. Lily sat down near the new DADA Professor and looked at the Headmaster warily though it remained unnoticed by the headmaster and the Transfiguration Professor.
"I heard that the Headmaster had mentioned that you're a new student here Ms. Evans, which magic school did you attend before going here at Hogwarts?" Madam Soleil questioned looking at Lily.
"I didn't attend a magical school at all. This is the first magical school that I attended." Lily answered.
"How old are you Ms. Evans?" she asked curiously.
"I'm 15 years old Madam." Lily replied.
"15? I thought that the age for attending Hogwarts is 11." Madam Soleil said turning to look at Dumbledore for answers.
"Yes, well Ms. Evans here was late in being discovered because her magic manifested itself at this age. Am I correct Ms. Evans?" Dumbledore asked.
"Yes Headmaster, I used magic accidentally when my sister cut herself with the kitchen knife when she was peeling some apples for our snack. I wanted my sister's hand to get better and I was holding her injured hand when my hand started glowing and my sister's hand began healing itself." Lily explained though it was a lie, but not entirely.
"I see… And when you used accidental magic for the first time in your 15 years of life, the magical quill had sensed you and thus writing your name in the book." Dumbledore nodded as he continued the rest of the story in his own words.
Madam Soleil and Lily remained silent and stared intently at Dumbledore's actions, and they both narrowed their eyes slightly as they surveyed his actions.
'Pretend all you want old man, I know who you really are.' Madam Soleil thought spiteful.
"In that case Headmaster, I would like to teach Ms. Evans this summer all she needs to know about magic and of course Defence, from first year to fourth year." Madam Soleil offered.
"I'm not sure that it's wise for you to teach young Ms. Evans here, she is only new in the magical world and I'm sure that I and the teachers here at Hogwarts can teach her all she needs to know about the magical world and magic itself." Dumbledore said.
"I believe that the decision lies with Ms. Evans herself, wouldn't you agree Headmaster?" Madam Soleil interrupted and stared at him intently before Dumbledore could say anything else.
"…Yes, indeed. So Ms. Evans, what is your decision?" Dumbledore asked looking at Lily with those blasted twinkling in his eyes again.
Lily looked at Dumbledore and getting really annoyed with the twinkling in his eyes, and then glanced at Madam Soleil –– who was just staring at her with a blank expression. She shifted her gaze back to Dumbledore and made her decision.
"I would like to be taught by Madam Soleil, Headmaster Dumbledore." Lily said without hesitation.
"Are you sure about that my dear? There are teachers here who can teach you too you know." Dumbledore tried to persuade Lily into staying at Hogwarts to be taught.
"That is my decision Headmaster." Lily said sternly interrupting Dumbledore, getting tired of his voice and the twinkle in his eyes.
Dumbledore was quiet for a moment then that insufferable twinkling returned again and this made Lily's eyebrow twitch a little and he had that grandfatherly look again.
'A mask...' Lily thought, '…but for what?'
"Of course as you wish Ms. Evans, now where would you be teaching Ms. Evans, Madam Soleil?" Dumbledore asked in the same grandfatherly tone he uses with everybody.
"I will be teaching Ms. Evans in my home, I have every book on the subjects of Defence Against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration, Charms, Herbology, Potions, History of Magic, Care of Magical Creatures, Arithmancy, Apparition, Ancient Runes, Astronomy, and of course Flying, if Ms. Evans here wants to fly a broom that is." Madam Soleil glanced at Lily to see her nodding enthusiastically.
"Very well Madam Soleil, the term starts at September 1. And the students will arrive here by train and you can also get here by train Madam Soleil, along with Ms. Evans." Dumbledore said.
Both Lily and Madam Soleil nodded, and Madam Soleil stood up.
"Well now that is arranged, Ms. Evans and I should be going now."
"Very well, I will see you again soon Ms. Evans, Madam Soleil." Dumbledore said nodding to both women.
"Headmaster." Madam Soleil bid nodding and Lily just nodded her head as a goodbye and followed her new mentor.
They got out of the castle and went to an apparition point, there they stopped and Madam Soleil turned to Lily.
"Have you done side apparition before?" she asked.
"Yes but it was my first time." Lily answered.
"When?" Madam Soleil asked again.
"When I arrived here, I side apparated with Professor McGonagall earlier this morning." Lily replied.
"Alright then, hold on to me tightly." Madam Soleil instructed and Lily did as told.
They disapparated from Hogwarts' apparition point and then apparated in front of two huge cast iron gates, Lily saw Madam Soleil bring out her wand and chanted some sort of incantation under her breath and when she was done she stepped forward with Lily following along. The cast iron gates opening by itself and closing again once they were inside, Lily followed behind Madam Soleil and she saw that the place was beautiful, there was a small fountain, trees were placed here and there, flowering bushes were scattered elegantly across the large lawn there was also a small pond with a small grotto. Lily squinted a little to see what the grotto looked like and what she saw made her eyes widen in shock.
There on the grotto stood a medium statue of none other than Queen Thea herself! She turned her attention back to the path in front of her and they reached the front dark oak doors of the mansion.
"Where are we?" Lily asked.
"Welcome Miss Evans, to Soleil Manor." Madam Soleil said and led Lily inside.
"Are your things shrunken?" Madam Soleil asked when they were in the entrance hall.
"Yes, they are shrunk by Professor McGonagall." Lily answered taking her things out from her pocket and Madam Soleil un-shrunk them.
"Mitsy!" Madam Soleil called out startling Lily a little.
Then a pop was heard in the room, and Lily's eyes widened when she saw a creature that looked to be 3 feet in height, had large drooping pointed ears and a slightly long nose. The creature was wearing what looked to be a…pink pillowcase? That's new. Lily thought. The creature was flesh in colour.
"Yes, Mistress Soleil? How can I be of service?" the creature asked looking up at Madam Soleil.
"Mitsy, take Ms. Evans' things to the 'guest' room." Madam Soleil ordered the creature emphasizing the word guest to the elf which Lily didn't notice because she was too busy staring at the elf.
"Yes Mistress, right away." the creature said levitating Lily's things and disappearing with a pop.
Madam Soleil turned to Lily who had her mouth slightly agape at the sight of the creature that was standing in front of them not 3 seconds ago. Soleil chuckled at her expression.
"You are wondering what that creature might be, I trust?" Madam Soleil asked making Lily turned her attention back to her but her expression stayed the same.
"That, child, is a house elf. They are creatures that serve a family who can afford them or who had bonded to the family and they will ONLY serve those who are bonded to them, who they are loyal to OR to a bonded family AND their heirs." Madam Soleil explained to Lily.
Lily just nodded her head in understanding.
"Follow me Ms. Evans I shall introduce you to my husband and your other teacher." Madam Soleil said motioning for Lily to follow her and they went through the door on the right.
They walked straightforward until they came upon another door that wasn't a big as the other rooms they had passed had. Madam Soleil opened the door and let Lily in first then following after, she closed the door and walked to the table with Lily following behind.
"Please have a seat Ms. Evans, while I call for tea and my husband." Madam Soleil said.
"Robby!" Madam Soleil called and another house elf appeared with a pop, but this house elf didn't have a flower on its head so Lily assumed that this one was a boy (A/N: Seriously Lily, the house elf's name is Robby!) and he was also wearing a pillowcase, but this was coloured light blue.
"Yes Mistress, what can I do for you?" Robby the house elf asked.
"Fetch some tea and cake and is my husband home?" Madam Soleil said.
"Yes Mistress, Master is home from work and he is in his study." Robby said.
"Ah good, now fetch some tea and cakes and after that notify my husband that I am home and I need him to come to the parlour." Madam Soleil said to the house elf.
"Yes Mistress, Robby be doing what is asked of him right away." then he disappeared with a pop.
The house elf returned a minute later with tea and cakes floating behind him. The elf set the tea and cakes down on the table and went to fetch Madam Soleil's husband.
"While we wait for my husband to get here, let's have some tea and cake. Here you go dear." Madam Soleil said pouring tea into a teacup and offering it to Lily who gladly took it and taking a sip.
"Now dear child, tell me all about yourself." Madam Soleil said as she took a small sip of her tea.
"Well…my name is Lily Jasmine Evans, I am 15 years old, I live in Little Whinging Surrey, I have a mother named Rosa, and a father named Jeff and I have a sister called Petunia." Lily said placing her teacup down and went to have a bite of cake.
"Hmm…I noticed that you names are associated from flowers, well, except your father's name of course. A family tradition on your mother's side of the family perhaps?" Madam Soleil asked taking another sip of her tea before putting it down and taking a bite of her cake.
"Yes, it is." Lily answered taking another bite of cake.
"I see, tell me are you a Muggle-Born?" Madam Soleil asked taking a small bite of her cake.
"Muggle-Born, what's that?" Lily asked not noticing the slight stress on the word Muggle-Born.
But before Madam Soleil could answer the door of the parlour opened and a handsome man of 40, he had golden yellow hair, yellow orange eyes, and tanned skin. His features are in contrast to Madam Soleil's silver grey hair, white eyes and fair skin. He was tall and lean, whereas Madam Soleil was average in height and slim. And to Lily they made a very beautiful couple indeed.
"Ah Andrei, so nice of you to join us for tea –– come here and meet my soon to be student at Hogwarts." Madam Soleil said.
The man –– Andrei –– as Lily had heard Madam Soleil say his name was, approached Madam Soleil and kissed her on the cheek.
"Hello darling, did I just hear you say that you were at Hogwarts?" Mr. Soleil asked.
"Yes I have dear." Madam Soleil replied.
"Why were you there today?" Mr. Soleil questioned sitting down and taking the pre-offered teacup.
"I was there because I had seen that they are in need of a new Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor, and I have nothing to do here at home. It was getting rather boring here while you're at work and what better way to entertain myself than teach students at Hogwarts." Madam Soleil answered noticing that her teacup was now empty and pouring herself another and then drinking it.
"I see, and who is this young lady with u today?" he asked turning to look at Lily.
"Oh I'm sorry sir. My name is Lily Jasmine Evans, pleased to make your acquaintance." Lily introduced herself to Andrei.
"I am Andrei de Soleil, and the pleasure is all mine young Ms. Evans." Mr. Soleil said introducing himself properly and taking Lily's hand and placing a small kiss on her knuckles making Lily smile at him and he to her in return, this action also made Madam Soleil smile a little.
"She is to be your student at Hogwarts as you have mentioned earlier correct?" he asked and Madam Soleil nodded.
"But why is she here, not that I don't want any visitors. I thought that you would get to meet your students at Hogwarts, not here." Mr. Soleil said taking another sip of tea.
"She is a Muggle-Born witch my dear husband, and she is only new at the school. And she needs someone to teach her the subjects from first year to fourth year of schooling at Hogwarts." Madam Soleil explained taking one last bite of cake, finishing it completely. Hoping that her husband would catch the stress on the word and not tell Lily something until it was the right time.
"Dear we both know that she is no Muggle-Born, she is the Princess of the Moon." Mr. Soleil said making Lily's eyes widen in shock and anxiousness.
"How do you know that?" Lily asked slowly standing up making some space between her and the Soleil couple.
"I'm sorry dear Princess, I was going to tell you but not in the way my insensitive husband had." Madam Soleil said glaring at her husband who in turn blushed in embarrassment.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to startle you princess." Mr. Soleil said getting down on his knee and bowing low at Lily.
"Who are you people and how do you know who I am?" Lily asked getting more anxious as the seconds pass.
"We are as we have told you. I am Lunarina de Soleil and my husband Andrei de Soleil; I am your mother's Royal Advisor, and the Keeper of the Lunarian Royal Treasures, Properties and Money. My husband is the Royal Advisor of the Solarian Court and Keeper of the Soleran Royal Treasures, Properties and Money." Madam Soleil answered bowing to Lily.
"Rina? How are you here?" Lily asked tears of joy sprang to her eyes.
Smiling sadly Lunarina told her how she got to Earth, Lily just stared at Lunarina and tears began building up on her eyes again. She got up and went over to Lunarina and hugged her and just sobbed her heart out, Lunarina held her and comforted her. Finally, after a while of heartfelt sobbing Lily calmed down and wiped her eyes with a white handkerchief handed to her by Mr. Soleil.
"Wait, how come you're here as well?" she asked turning to Andrei who smiled.
"I was the same as Lunarina, only slightly different of course."
Andrei explained what happened to him on Solaris and Lily's eyes widened when she found out that Cristelle had teamed up with Hyperion because of Lily marrying Phoebus, Cristelle had said to Andrei that she hated Lily for taking Phoebus from her. But Lily was having doubts, why would Cristelle do it? Phoebus had told her all about Cristelle and he thought very highly of her with the way he told Lily things about Cristelle. Cristelle is pretty girl with dark blonde hair that goes up to the middle of her back, and she had yellow orange eyes that shone with kindness and sincerity, lightly tanned skin and the same height as Lily — if not an inch smaller that Lily. Cristelle could never do the things that Andrei had said she'd done all on her own unless — Lily's eyes widened in realization, Hyperion had managed to brain wash Cristelle when she was in her most vulnerable state of mind. Cristelle was broken hearted and Hyperion managed to use his dark magic on her and Cristelle had no way of fighting against it.
"I know why Cristelle had acted the way she did."Lily said staring at the table.
Both Lunarina and Andrei turned to look at her, not saying anything, only waiting for her to continue.
"Cristelle and Phoebus were in love with each other," at this Lunarina spoke up.
"But I thought that you and Prince Phoebus were in love with each other." she said shocked.
Lily chuckled and shook her head but she was smiling, "No, Phoebus and I were never in love with each other. We only acted like it because we both knew that we had a duty to our countries, and both of us love our countries and our parents that we would sacrifice our own happiness for their sake." Lily said her head still down but her eyes were glazed in thought.
Lunarina and Andrei were staring at her in shock and admiration, because they wouldn't be able to do what Prince Phoebus and Princess Lilliana had done. Not everyone is selfless enough to sacrifice their own lifetime of happiness for the sake of those around her, and when Lunarina turned her gaze back to Lily she saw the sadness in Lily's eyes.
"Do you love him?" she asked Lily who snapped out of her reverie.
"What?" Lily asked as she turned her attention to Lunarina.
"Do you love Prince Phoebus?" she asked again.
"Yes, but it's not the romantic kind it is of a sibling kind. I think and see Phoebus as a brother not as a lover." Lily answered remembering the times she and Phoebus has having fun and being the sibling the other never had. Tears started streaming down her face, Lunarina stood up and went over to Lily and held her giving her the comfort that she needed right now.
"It is okay, let it out. It's not good to have them bottled up inside, it will only cause you to become emotional and distant. If you ever need comfort I will be there for you, my Princess." Lunarina soothed as she ran her hand up and down Lily's back slowly and gently.
Andrei also stood up and knelt in front of his wife with Lily's back turned to him, he placed a comforting hand on Lily's shoulder and said. "I will also be here for you Princess, I made a promise to Prince Phoebus that if something happened to him I were to take care of you and the unborn child."
Lily turned to look at him and gave him a watery smile, "Thank you Andrei." she sniffled a little, Lunarina handed her a handkerchief and wiped her eyes of tears.
"Alright enough of this drama, now why don't you rest for the rest of the day Princess you must be tired due to apparating. I'll have a house elf escort you to your room." Lunarina suggested and Lily nodded taking one last sip of her tea and wiping her lips before standing up and waiting for Lunarina to summon a house elf.
"Robby!" the house elf appeared with a pop and bowed low to them, his ears were almost touching the cream marble floors.
"What can I do for Mistress Soleil?" he said straightening up from his bow.
"Please escort Mistress Evans to the room that has been set up for her." Lunarina ordered.
"Yes Mistress Soleil," Robby said bowing once again.
"Please follow me Mistress Evans, I'll show you to your room." The little elf said as her straightened up again before walking out the door of the parlour.
Lily nodded and followed the house elf as it led her to her room for the remainder of her stay, as they walked from the hallway to where the parlour was Lily was taking in all of the furniture and décor of the said hallway. Many things were lining the wall, most were paintings of people, landscape of nature, or antique paintings (they look like it), and of course there were occasional antique mirrors but it was mostly paintings. There were also small decorative tables with vases of flowers or other (must be) magical items that Lily was curious to touch and look at a bit closer, but restrained herself because she doesn't know what they could do. The walls were painted in earth tone colours that gave the whole mansion a cosy feeling to it, of course the same cannot be said with the rooms of the mansion (because they were all closed) some had double doors with designs on them, others have single doors with designs on them also, but most doors were just plain and had no design on them whatsoever — well maybe except for the doorknobs that were made of brass and all of the doors were made of dark wood. Finally after they passed two more hallways they came in front of a room that had English Oak wood painted white with intricate designs of a lotus with a fully bloomed lily right above it, furnished with silver door handles (the kind that needs to be pushed downward to open). Robby snapped his fingers and the doors immediately opened revealing a spacious room (Lily was very much awed by the room that she didn't step up into the room fully, she was standing just beyond the doorway) that had red velvet carpeted floor, two white plush couch facing each other and two matching love seats on either side and a dark brown coffee table in the middle of the set are situated in the middle of the room, from behind one of the couches was an elegant brown French door with dark green window treatment that leads to an open balcony with light gray table and matching chairs with red velvet cushions.
Two wide windows on either side of the balcony doors were the same style as the door with the same with cream coloured window treatments, situated in front of both windows were a reading table with two chairs that were made of dark polished wood, the walls of the room were a white colour with dark brown crown mouldings, far behind the right loveseat was another set of double doors that had the same style and colour as the door she had just barely entered and on either side of the doors were six-shelved bookshelf that was the same colour and style as the reading tables and chairs. Lily looked to her left and saw a third door that seemed to be made of cedar wood and painted a cream colour but didn't have the intricate designs as the two other doors.
"Where does that door lead to?" she asked turning to the house elf.
"That door is a small shower and comfort room for your guests, friends or acquaintances Mistress Evans." the elf answered.
"Ah." Lily nodded walking to the door and opening it, she smiled at the sight of the bathroom.
The shower room itself was simple yet beautiful, the floor tiles were a plain white colour, the walls were a soft peach with cream crown mouldings, on the left side there was a gray marble shower stall that had a fogged glass door with a silver handle and the front of the glass door was designed in a full in bloom white lily. In the middle was an enclosed stall with a dark brown door and brass handle and white ceramic toilet bowl and a small glass window was right above it, on the right side, a gray marble sink and an ornate steel framed mirror with decorative light fixtures on either side.
"This is a cosy shower and comfort room." she mused.
"Mistress Soleil made this room for someone special that Mistress had served in the past." Robby said.
"Really, did she say who it was?" Lily asked smiling slightly having a hunch as to whom the room was made for.
"Mistress Soleil didn't say but Mistress did say a title once." Robby replied.
"What was the title of the person Mrs. Soleil had served?" hiding her smile behind her hand.
"Princess was what Mistress Soleil said but didn't say any name at all, Mistress Evans." Robby said.
"I see," Lily nodded and Robby's ears drooped slightly as he looked down.
"Robby is very sorry that he cannot be of anymore help with Mistress Evans' question." he said sadly.
"It's all right Robby it's not your fault at all." Lily said patting the elf's head gently.
"What else can Robby do for Mistress Evans?" the elf said perking up and eager to serve Lily.
"Nothing for now Robby, I want to rest for a while. I'm very tired from the apparations and it's my first time doing a — what was it called again — oh yes side-long apparation, and I'm not really used to it yet. Wake me up when it's time for dinner, okay?" Lily said and the elf nodded his head eagerly making his ears flop.
"Yes, yes Robby will do that for Mistress Evans. Robby is a good elf." Robby said before vanishing.
Lily blinked 3 times before chuckling to herself.
'What a silly little elf.' she thought amusedly.
She then went into the room behind the double doors (made of the same wood and colour as the first double doors) which was the spacious bedroom of the suite, the walls were a soft lilac colour with white crown mouldings, white French doors with violet drapery, on either side of the doors were two windows of the same style as the balcony doors but the left window (if you are facing the balcony doors from the bedroom) has a window seat with violet throw pillows and light weight cream curtains to let in light in the room, the right window hung violet drapery (as it was near the foot of the bed) a big polished mahogany desk with matching cushioned chair that is placed a foot away from the window so that the drapes can be shut, an oval shaped three-mirrored vanity also made of polished mahogany wood with matching cushioned chair, in the middle of the left side wall was a mahogany canopy bed with heavy violet drapes and lavender transparent curtains. The bed cover was a lilac colour, the pillows were cream coloured, the blanket was a dark violet in shade and the comforter was also lilac in colour and all were neatly done. The left bedside drawer was made of cream coloured cedar wood with an elegant desk lamp on top. A few feet from the left side of the door was a semi-large polished dark cherry wood cabinet that is used for prepared clothing and footwear, from the right side of the door was a small decorative table with a portrait of a fully bloomed lily of the valley, a few feet from the window seat was another cream coloured door Lily went into it and saw that it was a bathing chamber complete with twin floating vanities with ceramic sink, silver faucet and knobs and light coloured granite countertop with drawers (for towels) were placed a couple of feet on either side of the door.
The walls were painted a peach colour, the marble flooring, a small pool-sized marble bathtub that looked like it was built with the floor with silver faucet and knobs and window seat-like accent beside the bathtub for easy reach bathing necessities was placed on the other side of the chamber, and a few feet from the tub was the shower stall and like the bathtub it was spacious as well it also has a tiled interior with built in seat, a silver showerhead and knobs and small glass shelves for soaps, shampoos and other showering necessities and a fogged glass door with a decorative lily and a small circular silver knob on the front finishes the shower's look. Several feet from the right vanity was a stall smaller than the shower stall with a dark brown door and brass handle and it contains a toilet and above the toilet was a small window.
Next to the bathing chamber was another double door the same colour as the entrance to the bed chamber but it was a walk-in closet designed for a royalty, it was huge! It also looked like all of the things that was in her trunk before was unpacked and put in their places. But the things that have been bought for her by Petunia and their mother Rosa looked out of place among the clothing that she used to have when she was still living in the Moon Kingdom and the Wizarding robes that she bought and that have been bought for her by Lunarina.
'Wow she really over did it… She even bought me more Wizarding clothes.' Lily thought amused and sad at the same time. Sad because of the memories the replicated clothing when she lived in the Moon Kingdom brought her. She shook her head to clear it of the past, she needed to move on for the sake of her unborn child, sighing she went back to the bed chamber and sat down on the soft bed. She happened to glance at the desk and saw that her wand box was placed on top of it that she didn't notice before when she inspected her room, walking toward the desk she caressed the box and opened the lid taking out her wand she looked at it closely engraving the wand's look into her memory. The wand was bluish white with engraved vines and flowers on it but the handle of the wand was free from engravings and was a deeper blue colour and on the bottom tip of the wand was a sparkling emerald gem adding to the wand's beauty. Smiling she placed it back inside the box and closing it, she went back to the bed and laid on top of it and relaxed soon falling asleep.
When Lily had woken up the sun was slowly setting in the horizon, Lily sat up and stretched her body. After a few seconds she got up and went into the bathing chamber, washed and wiped her face with a fluffy white towel that was hanging beside the vanities, she went back into the bedchamber and straight toward the vanity. Sitting down on the vanity chair she picked up a silver hairbrush with intricate handle and back design and brushed her auburn hair with it and it also had a matching hand-held mirror (which Lily didn't need at the moment because she was already sitting right in front of three mirrors). When she finished brushing her hair she put the brush down and went out of her suite, she walked down the same hallway as she did earlier when Robby had escorted her. When she had come back to the entrance foyer of the manor did she realize that she didn't know where to go, and started to look around for any other entry but she kept taking wrong turns and ending back to the same foyer.
"I am lost, very lost." Lily said walking in another direction from the first way she came.
"Ok now I'm not very lost, I am extremely lost." She continued after taking another turn but walking into a dead end, Lily growled in frustration at getting herself lost inside the mansion. And it didn't help that the portraits were laughing at her dilemma.
'The least they could do is by telling me which way to go, but no instead they laugh at me!' Lily thought irritated, her right eye twitching in annoyance. She gave the portraits a look that said 'I will destroy you beyond repair', and this made the paintings stop laughing immediately.
Lily huffed and went back the way she came and returned to the foyer, when she got there she heard a soft giggling sound. Lily turned to the source of the sound and saw that it was a portrait of a young girl with deep red eyes and golden blonde hair, approached the portrait and her eyes widened in pure shock. It wasn't just a painting of a young girl, it was the daughter of Lady Vespera Hymera younger sister of Queen Phoebe, this young girl is Princess Meridiana Hymera a very distant cousin of Lily's.
"Meri, is it really you?" Lily asked still shocked finally getting in front of the portrait.
The girl in the painting, Meridiana or 'Meri' as Lily had called her grinned and nodded her confirmation. Lily laughed as tears of happiness streamed down her face.
"I'm so happy to see you again…! You know even if you are now a painting hanging on the wall." Lily chuckled with Meri laughing along with her.
"Yes I too am happy to see you again dear friend, and even though I am a paper on wood frame I can still give advice you know." Meri huffed crossing her arms like a child and mock pouting, at this Lily smirked.
"Yea but some of those advices are lame and downright corny, and all of them are always on love...sappy much..." she muttered.
"Hey, I heard that! And my love advices aren't lame, corny or sappy! And I am a Love Guru!" Meri growled playfully still pouting.
"I meant for you to hear that. And yes they are, many people agree with me even Phoebus. You're not a Love Guru, love matters are Queen Aphrodite's job." Lily countered but stopped when she realized what she had said.
Meri had heard what Lily had said because she too fell silent, and a thick wave of sadness overcame both Royal and Nobility.
"Are the portraits of the Orion Armare Royals here with you?" Lily asked hoping that Meri would say yes, but her hopes immediately came crashing down when Meri shook her head, apparently it seems that Meri's portrait was the only one that survived out of all the portrait of all the Orion Armare Royals.
"But the royal treasures of the Orion Armare are all safe here on Terra they are safely kept in treasure vaults protected by what they call a 'bank' is it? Known as Gringotts…strange name…" Meri said.
Lily didn't care for the treasures, she wanted for her mother and the rest of her family with her but she knew that they had died for a reason. She didn't say anything, just kept silent. But it was cut short when a pop was heard from a distance, Meri looked behind Lily and Lily turning around at the popping sound (A/N: Wow that rhymed). A house-elf was right behind Lily standing a few feet from her looking up at Lily with big eyes then Lily recognized immediately that this elf was Mitsy.
"Mitsy I am so glad you're here, I am kind of lost and —" Lily got cut off by Meri's snorting.
"'Kind of lost'? More like extremely lost if you ask me." Meri laughed.
"Meri dear, do shut up oh, and snorting is unladylike. Well not that you are ladylike in the first place." Lily retorted her expression mocking that of a snobbish aristocrat.
Because of her shock at the retort Meri couldn't say anything, merely gaped blinkingly at Lily.
"Do stop your gawking dear, insects will fly in your mouth and you'll choke, and I don't know how to do the Heimlich maneuver to a painting." Lily drawled lazily.
Meri snapped out of it and growled and glared playfully at Lily making Lily laugh at her, but before Meri could return a retort Mitsy interrupted politely of course.
"I'm sorry to interrupt your conversation Mistress Evans but Mistress Soleil sent me to come fetch you for supper, she said that you might get lost in the mansion." Mitsy explained.
"Which she did by the way." Meri snickered behind her hand and Lily glared at her but kept her mouth shut and ignored Meri instead.
"Thank you Mitsy, let's go to dinner I am quite famished as I haven't had lunch earlier for I was tired of the happenings earlier. And I don't want to give myself stiff neck from looking up at the paintings hanging from the walls, and it's quite tiresome when you stare up at them for long periods of time." Lily drawled smirking at Meri as she did so.
"Yes of course Mistress Evans, if you would follow me." Mitsy said walking toward a door near the grand staircase with Lily following and when they got through the door they heard a shout of 'hey!' and Mitsy heard Lily giggle but chose to ignore it and kept on walking but with a small smile.
Finally they come upon an oak door which Mitsy opened and Lily went in with a tilt of her head at the elf in silent acknowledgement, it may seem rude to someone else's point of view to go in without saying thank you. But Lily is of royal blood and had been raised as such but with the guidance of her fair-handed mother, thus she knew how to be polite and show it in subtle and graceful movement. The elegance, manners and etiquette Lily possessed had been bred in her when she was growing up.
The dining area was beautiful but it was made for informal dinners, the table was big enough for seating seven people but it was set for only three to eat. Lily's seat was to Andrei's right with Lunarina to his left, which meant that Lunarina and Lily were facing each other at the dinner table, and once Lily was almost to the seat she was being led to by Mitsy Andrei stood up and pulled her seat out for Lily and sat her down. Lily nodded her thanks to Andrei which he returned with a tilt of his head and went to sit back down on his own seat that was situated at the head of the table – symbolizing his status as the Head of Soleil House. And once Andrei was seated he clapped his hands and food appeared at the table, food that were already placed in their plates. Lily's dinner was steak fully cooked as the main course with mashed potatoes and gravy on the side and a small bowl of vegetable salad topped with mayonnaise, and for her drink was champagne. Lunarina's dinner consisted of soup as the main course and macaroni salad mixed with vegetables and a bit of mayonnaise, for her drink a goblet of red cherry flavoured wine. Andrei's dinner consists of whole roasted chicken leg drizzled with barbeque sauce with mashed potatoes gravy and a small bowl of soup, for his drink a goblet of strong red wine. The three of them dug in happily chatting with each other about what happened to them while they were all separated.
"Oh and Princess —" Lunarina began.
"Lunarina I have said this a million times a millennia ago, don't call me that. You know I hate honorifics especially when we're alone." Lily admonished a small frown gracing her face.
"I'm sorry Prin– I mean Lily, old habits die hard." Lunarina chuckled making Andrei and Lily laugh along.
"What were you going to say earlier?" Lily asked taking a bite.
"On Monday we will begin your lessons and training, from first year to fourth year." Lunarina answered.
"Ok, I really hope that I would be able to learn everything in time." Lily said a little worried.
"Nonsense Lily you will learn all of them, I know you can." Lunarina said with an encouraging smile, Lily smiled back nodding her head.
The rest of the dinner was continued in comfortable silence, and after they finished with their dinner they ate dessert. Chocolate and Vanilla ice cream cake.
"This is so delicious!" Lily said forgetting all about her upbringing and talking with her mouth full, her expression was that of bliss at the sweet cold confection.
Lunarina and Andrei didn't say anything about her lack of manners but they did laugh, Lily and her sweet tooth. They savoured their dessert in silence with the occasional moan from Lily and chuckles from Lunarina and Andrei.
"Oh and Lily, tomorrow we'll be having a bright and early start for your lessons." Lunarina reminded Lily.
"Ok, goodnight you two." Lily bade as she walked out of the informal dining area back to the foyer where she stopped in front of Meri's portrait.
"So how's dinner?" she asked.
"It was great and delicious too." Lily replied smiling, Meri smiling along with her.
"Delicious dessert?" Meri simply asked grin widening when Lily nodded.
"You and your sweet tooth." Meri chuckles shaking her head, Lily merely stuck out her tongue at Meri. Meri laughed at the gesture.
"Real mature Lilliana."
"I go by the name Lily Jasmine Evans now Meri." Lily said.
"Ahh like a flower, that's nice." Meri said smiling.
"Thanks… I have to go and get ready for bed Meri, I am still tired." Lily said.
"Oh ok then." Meri nodded.
"Yes so goodnight Meri." Lily said walking towards the direction of her room.
"Goodnight Lily, see you tomorrow!" Meri said waving Lily raised her hand waving back but continued walking.
Once she got back in her suite she made sure to lock the windows and her living area balcony and the main door of her suite and closed the curtains and heavy drapery, then she went into her bedroom and locked the windows and her bedroom balcony door then closed the curtains and heavy drapes. She then made her way into her bathing chamber and turned the faucets on to control the temperature that she wants and once she got the tub full with the right temperature she went over to where the bath oils were placed and selected a bottle with a soothing chamomile scent and poured some on the water until the chamber was filled with the chamomile scent. Stripping off her clothes she put them in the clothes hamper then closed it and pulling her hair up securing it with a hair clamp before going in the tub and relaxing, she closed her eyes sighing in content.
"I love warm baths at night…they're relaxing…" Lily muttered in sighing as she went.
Lily got out of the tub once the water started to cool, taking the towel that she had placed on the chair near the tub she dried herself off then taking a fluffy white robe she covered herself before hanging the now wet towel to dry. Going into the bedchamber, she headed straight towards her walk-in closet. She picked out a silk pink night gown that reaches 2 inches above the knees with matching under panties. Once changed into her nightwear Lily then proceeded to pick out what she would wear the day after tomorrow, she decided on light blue riding pants with matching darker hued button-up top and dark blue knee-high boots. She then hung them in the cabinet near her bed and placed the boots on the bottom of the cabinet, once she was done she went over to the vanity and picked up her hair brush and proceeded to brush her hair until it was neat. Getting onto the bed she turned the bedside lamp off and drifted off to sleep.
= Sunday, Morning =
Lily woke up when she heard muffled sounds of birds chirping outside, sitting up she stretched her limbs and got out of bed. Walking towards her balcony door she opened the drapery and opened the French doors to let light in, walking towards the windows she pulled the curtains back and let more light in. Sighing at the beautiful day she walked to the bathing chamber and showered, after showering she put on a bathrobe then proceeded to go to the walk-in closet to pick out her outfit for the day. She chose a light green summer dress with black accents that reached an inch below the knee and matching doll shoes. Walking to her vanity she fixed her hair in a half ponytail, then putting on a pair of small pearl stud earrings. Checking her appearance on the mirror again Lily nodded once she was content with her look, she walked out of her bedroom and suite toward the foyer. Walking over to where Meridiana's portrait is hung smiling when she saw that Meri was awake and chatting with a neighboring portrait, Lily approached and smiled at Meri with Meri smiling back.
"Good morning Meri, Madam." Lily greeted Meri and nodding to the other lady inside Meri's portrait.
"Morning Lily, did you have a good rest?" she asked.
"Yes." Lily nodded.
"That's good – oh I just remembered, I heard Lunarina say earlier that she wants to have a word with you." Meri said.
"Thank you for informing me Meri, I'll go to her right now. Where is Lunarina?" Lily said.
"Her study." was Meri's answer.
"Mitsy." Lily called out and a pop was heard and Mitsy appeared to Lily bowing.
"What can I do for you Mistress Evans?" Mitsy asked as she straightened up.
"Would you please show me to Lunarina's study, Mitsy." Lily said.
"Of course Mistress, right this way please." Mitsy said walking to the direction of Lunarina's study.
The walk there was silent with Lily having to wonder about what Lunarina wants to talk to her about, she was deep in her thoughts that she didn't notice Mitsy stop in front two oak doors. And if it wasn't for Mitsy calling her name and snapping her out of it she would've walked by, not noticing anything until she walked into a wall or door.
"Sorry I was thinking, could you say that again please." Lily said an embarrassed flush staining her cheeks.
"We are here now Mistress Evans, Mistress Soleil is inside waiting for you. Shall I tell, her that you are here?" Mitsy asked.
"It's okay I'll do that myself, thank you Mitsy and you may go."Lily said composing herself.
Mitsy bowed and disappeared with a pop, Lily then knocked on the door and a muffled 'Come in' was heard from the other side. Lily went inside opening the door and closing it before heading to Lunarina's desk and sat down on the chair facing Lunarina in an angle.
"Meri had informed me that she heard you wanting to have a word with me, so I went straight here." Lily said and Lunarina blinked.
"You went straight here without having breakfast first." it wasn't a question.
Lily's cheeks had a pink tint and she anywhere but at Lunarina making Lunrina sigh, by the tint on Lily's cheeks and body language suggest that she was right. Lunarina shook her head at Lily's ignorance of her own health at times.
"Mitsy." Lunarina called.
Mitsy appeared in the study with a sounding pop, the elf bowed at them then straightening up looking at them awaiting their orders.
"Your Mistress here hasn't had any breakfast yet, so I want you to get her some. I don't know what she would like to eat so you'll have to ask her what she wants." Lunarina said exasperated.
Mitsy gasped horrified that her Mistress hasn't eaten yet and at her own carelessness, not taking better care of her Mistress as to forget asking her if she had anything to eat. Mitsy's ears drooped as she looked down at the floor
"I am a bad elf! I was careless enough not to ask Mistress Evans if she had eaten anything!" as Mitsy said this at herself – well more like at herself – she banged her hands on her head to punish herself.
Lily gaped in shock at the elf as the elf now banged her head on the floor. Lily turned to Lunarina as if asking her if this was normal behaviour, Lunarina sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose her eyes now on Lily who's eyebrow was raised and was looking back and forth between Lunarina and the elf who was now banging her head on the wall.
"It's normal for house-elves to punish themselves when they think that they have failed their masters and mistresses. And they won't stop until they have deemed that they have been punished enough." Lunarina explained.
"How long will that take?" Lily asked a little worried that the elf might get brain damage if she continued on.
"It depends on the elf." Translation: I don't know.
"Oh… but it's not her fault though, it's mine for not saying anything." Lily said.
"Don't bother to try and reason to house-elves Lily, it's hereditary for them to serve someone. Believe me Lily I tried doing that when I first got one." Lunarina said.
Lily understood that, but couldn't help herself be worried about the elf and decided that the elf has been punished enough so she ordered her breakfast to stop the elf.
"Mitsy I would like to have a small breakfast here please." Lily said stopping the elf from banging her head further.
"What would the young Mistress like to eat?" Mitsy asked.
"I would like some croissant with chocolate filling inside and a glass of pineapple juice please. Would you like a bite to eat as well Lunarina?" Lily asked turning to said person.
"No thank you Lily, I have already had breakfast." Lunarina declined.
"Okay then, that's all Mitsy." Lily said.
Mitsy bowed and vanished with a pop, Lily turned back to Lunarina when she saw that Lunarina was smiling and chuckling quietly.
"What's so funny?" Lily questioned.
"You should have named a number on the amount of croissants you want to have —" Lunarina began but is stopped by chuckles.
"I have said 'I wanted some croissants', surely she would understand that I only want a handful of them." Lily said while Lunarina kept chuckling but this time shaking her head along.
"You'll see when she gets back, trust me." Lunarina replied as she stopped chuckling, Lily just stared at her blinkingly.
Just as Lunarina said those last words a pop was heard and only Lunarina's eyes moved to see behind Lily, she snorted as she quickly placed her hand on her mouth in an attempt to smother her laughter. Lily turned to look behind her and it looked like her eyes were bugging out at how wide they were and her jaw felt like it reached the dark-tiled floor because of how it hung.
= Monday, Dawn =
The sun was slowly rising from the horizon, giving the heavens a purple hue, the moon was slowly fading from the sky as the sun rises up. Lily was now awake still in her nightclothes was standing at her bedroom balcony watching the skies as the sun rose, soft summer dawn breeze blew around, Lily's hair dancing gently along with it. She listened as the birds began chirping their song for the day, and when the sun was finally high enough Lily decided to get ready for the day.
Lily walked down the hallway leading to the informal dining area in a happy disposition, having already greeted (woken up) Meri at 7 am after her morning ritual with Meri spitting things like 'it's early in the morning, a girl needs her beauty sleep!', 'I'll get you back for this von Luna!' and her favorite 'I'm going to kill you in your sleep!' that totally made her day. Once she got to the dining area she immediately sat down on the chair she had sat on last night and Mitsy popped right out almost startling the daylights out of Lily, Lily looked at the elf with wide eyes.
"What would Mistress Evans like for breakfast today?" Mitsy asked eager to serve her new Mistress.
Lily blinkingly stared at Mitsy for a few more seconds with her hand over her chest trying to calm her rapidly beating heart before speaking.
"I would like a toasted peanut butter and a cold glass of milk please." Lily said the elf nodded and popped away to prepare Lily's breakfast.
Once Mitsy popped back to the dining area with Lily's requested breakfast which was floating behind her, with a snap of her fingers the food and drink slowly set itself on the table in front of Lily along with the appearance of a silver fork and knife, a napkin unfolded and set itself on Lily's lap.
"Thank you Mitsy that will be all, I'll call for you if I need anything." Lily politely dismissed the elf and the elf bowed and popped away, leaving Lily to eat her breakfast in peace. And just as she finished drinking the last of her milk Lunarina walked in wearing

Lily blinked. This is going to be a long summer training. She thought with a soft sigh.
Rose: I am extremely sorry for the extremely late update, I had writer's block on the chapter and I had many ideas for other stories that I was just writing on paper and also I have been very busy in college (shifted course). But now I have posted Chapter 4 and will be working on the next chapter which might take long again. I hope that you enjoy the chapter my friends, and please review as it keeps me wanting to continue the story.
Lunarina: I think you over did it with the description of Lily's room.
Rose: Well excuse me for being descriptive about a lot of things while writing, they just pop in my head and I couldn't help but write them in. *huffs and pouts*
Lunarina: *sweat drops then blinks repeatedly*
Lily: I have something to say.
Rose: What is it?
Lily: My name is Lilliana Parthenia Luna von Luna, right?
Rose: Yes.
Lily: And now I go by Lily Jasmine Evans and Meri doesn't know that right?
Rose: Mhm.
Lily: Then why is Meri calling me Lily if she doesn't know that name I go by now?
Rose: Meri calls you Lilli when she was still alive
Lily: Oh, I see…
