Hey y'all it's me again! I just wanted to thank all of you so much for the support to continue this!

But let's get one thing straight, I am never, and I repeat NEVER giving up on this story. Life has just been a pain for the past few months and I'm sure no one wants to hear that story….(I know I don't).

Also since summer is here (thank God) I will have the time to write about 2+ page lengths for this story to upload every 2-3 weeks or so, maybe 4 weeks if I'm not happy with the length.

Just so everyone knows, I probably won't follow the Story-line of Teen Titans & Danny Phantom to well, I may skip around a bit just so the story fits like a glove. If anyone has objections to that please let me know :) But I will try my best to follow it as it is originally.

And I'm still open with anyone suggesting a cover! This will become a contest in the near future, winner gets a sneak peak on the next few chapters until the story is complete. Sounds fair? :P

Note, large sections of Italics are flashbacks

But anyways on with the story :)

Disclaimer, I do NOT own Teen Titans, Danny Phantom, or Google. Or even the Idea for this story. That belongs to NedFynTanon. Please Check out her stories by clicking the link below

Chapter 4

It had been less than a few hours since Danny failed to get the very much needed power supply for his suite. As of now, it was nothing more than a useless Halloween costume until it has the juice it needed to get back in business. And let us not forget the belt...But that is not his main focus at the moment. To make matters even worse, the burn inflicted on Danny has progressively gotten worse in the passing hours to the point where even moving the slightest bit has become a challenge.

'If only that stupid hero complex could have butted the fuck out of my life like everyone else in Amity...Hell I wish it had stayed in Amity!' Danny thought as he put pressure onto his shoulder, trying to subdue the pain as best as he could through his new shirt. That and trying his hardest to not think about his forgotten home. After he had changed out of the Red X suit he had put it "in the lab" as he had come to call it. Even though it had only been a few hours, it was about time he finally got to work again. Danny pushed himself off the recliner he had perched himself on and slowly but surely started making his way down the hall. He stilled gripping onto his right shoulder as if it where a life line. It was a miracle he was still conscious due to the pain.

The lab was once a guest bedroom, but considering Danny had no plans to let anyone step in through the doorway let alone stay the night, he knew he wouldn't need it.

The lab consisted of racks of test tubes and beakers of various sizes lining the white walls, which were covered with stainless steel shelves. Along with microscopes with viewing slided ready to use, bunsen burners, and petri dishes filling up 3 of the 4 tables that were present in the room. Almost everything in that room oddly enough seemed in place. The only oddity was the Red-X suite that was laid out on the 4th table. The suite was set up almost as if there was still someone inside. The bulletproof chestplate along with the charcoal black gloves and boots gave off that feeling. Looking at the spandex sleeves and "tights" as Danny reluctantly thought, he knew better. The lay limp and lifeless next the signature mask. The final detail was the cape, which was draped over a stainless steel chair that matched the rest of the furniture in the room. It moved softly due to a slight breeze from the Air Conditioning unit.

Danny pulled up a chair and gratefully sat down. He was already out of breath from such a short distance from his living room to here.

'I am definitely running a blood test after this….whatever the moon-man had put into that laser along with the Xenothium….it definitely packs a punch way stronger then the walking traffic light in tights does….'

He sighed as he let go of his pulsing shoulder, on the plus side it wasn't bleeding anymore….on the down side it stung like a bitch. But that isn't what he should be focusing on.

"Time to patch up this useless piece of shit…" Danny grumpled to himself as he grabbed a hold of the right sleeve and inspected the damage done to the material. Thankfully it was only slightly damaged, a hole about the size of his index finger was present. Danny sighed in relief. He could easily stitch that up. It had had ripped exactly where the sleeve and the rest of the spandex shirt met. As soon as it was sewn up it would like just the way it had before. Hopefully. Danny knew he wasn't a fucking seamstress, but he had been living alone for the past year so he had to pick up a few key tips like figuring out how to hell to cook and sew. Cooking was more of a work in progress considering he did tend to skip out on learning to order a pizza or chinese food.

"After I'm done with this I'm going out to get pizza…." Danny grumbled before scowling to himself

'And I need to stop talking to myself….'

Danny started to set up a small sewing kit that he had gotten a while back, one that could be found at just about any drugstore. It contained a rainbow of different colors along with two needles that were poked through a small section of sponge, and a tiny pair of red scissors.

With them Danny cut off a small length of black string and threaded it through the needle before he started to stitch the Red X suit up. Oh how he was going to fail.

After a few pricked fingers and a lot of string later, Danny finally managed to get the sleeve to look just like it had before.

'On the bright side, I could get to the blood test straight away because all I have to do now is run the fucking test to see what chemicals are in my blood. Or at least start them.' Danny thought both sarcastically and bitterly, referring to his heavly pricked fingers.

Even with all the advanced equipment he had on hand, it still takes a few hours to get everything done and sorted out. And then uploading that to his computer to find a diagnosis took another hour. It's not like he's going to type his results into Google and pray that someone else out there coincidentally got shot with moon-man's laser. Not a chance. He had to upload all the data he was going to get into a chip, then put that in line to be looked over by some medical software he had taken from a fruit loop back in Wisconsin. More specifically, Vlad Masters.

Danny couldn't help but pay a visit to Vlad's Mansion, better yet known as his pride and joy while he was out of town doing God knows what. This was about a month or so after he had left Gotham City, and of course Vlad had been all over the news trying to sell the idea of one of his new inventions to the public. Trying to make it a household name.

'Yeah like that is definitely something new…' Danny thought sarcastically as he prepared to draw blood, with the right kind of needle this time around that is.

Vlad had been gloating nonstop about a new Computer Software that could supposedly diagnose just about anything, all a user would have to do was type in symptoms and test result, then wait for the software to find whatever abnormality was present in the body and suggests a possible cure. To dumb it down, it just find what's wrong and tells you what to do to fix it. That caught what Danny's eye. It could be useful or it could be a joke, but either way Danny was going to get his hand on it. And knowing Vlad, Danny knew he wouldn't use it the way he was saying. Only another reason to take it.

Danny held his breath before plunging the needle into his skin, slowly drawing out his crimson red blood with the syringe.

Getting into the building was easy, all Danny had done was pick a lock that secured one of the windows in the back shut. All Danny had to do was avoid whatever traps Vlad had set up, all of which were specifically designed for GHOST only.

"This is way too easy" Danny said, only slightly annoyed that there wasn't a challenge involved. That was starting to become his new catchphrase. Well, it was better then 'I'm going Ghost!'

From there he disabled the security system, preferably the cameras, then Danny made his way to Vlad's personal study. The only thing that could've been a challenge if he wasn't great with picking locks, was the vault that the software was locked up in. From there it was grab and go. The look of Vlad's face was priceless when he came up on the news the next day. Absolutely priceless.

All Danny was planning to do was run the blood test then zero out everything that wasn't supposed to be there. He had to figure out what else was flowing through his veins with his red and white blood cells and if it was any danger to him.

Danny sighed as he finally removed the needle, but he didn't bother with a bandage. There really wasn't a point to it. He was wearing a short sleeved pure black shirt and matching black jeans and combat boots to finish everything off. Not like anything would get stained.

He then started to prep everything for the verius tests that were going to be run, for example A complete blood count. It was just the test Danny needed to run to see what else was lurking in his veins, invisible to the naked eye. The test itself involved taking blood, putting it in a test tube and then a centrifuge. The centrifuge spins around fast enough to separate the blood into red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets (what makes scabs on the skin), and then finally the invaders in Danny's blood.

As soon as Danny had finished setting everything up in the lab, he decided to grab a bite to eat considering his stomach was growling like crazy. He had a bad habit of skipping breakfast and lunch at times. That and he can't live on milk and whatever food he still had left in his fridge for the day. The centrifuge wouldn't be finished for another hour or so, so Danny had an hour he needed to kill. What better way to do that then to pig out on a pizza? He would order out, but then again Danny had wanted to explore the city more.

Just recently Danny had moved to Jump City, if anything it had only been a 2 weeks or so since he had finally moved in to a more permanent residence rather than crashing at hotels in whatever city he wound up in. He never was in the habit of staying in one place for too long, but for now he wanted to mess with Robin. Plus there are some rather priceless artifacts that he wouldn't mind adding to his neverending collection. A few that he could live without, but hey? It was just another way to aggravate heros and the police. Both of which he loved to mess with. He still had a bone to pick with police considering he still hadn't gotten over the fact they chased him around Gotham City.

Jump City was different from other cities that Danny had stayed it, how? It just had a certain, "homey" feeling to it. Like nothing could possibly go wrong. But then again it has had a few mishaps that can be overlooked. Danny found himself walking down the neverending roads of Jump City, from the looks of it, it could be main street.

Danny walked around Jump city for some fresh air, yet again ignoring his stomach. He was still not sure if it was the best idea to stay. He would never be sure of that. However, he wanted something and he refused to leave the city without it. The Phantom emerald still held on to its secrets and Danny was determined to unlock them. He felt like the gem seemed to be linked to him in some way as crazy as that may sound. There was so much more that the emerald could do for him, but he didn't know it yet.

It really is crazy to think a rock could be helpful, but Danny was determined to figure out what made it so special. That's where a certain book in Jump City museum would come in handy for that.

Robin sighed as he kept thinking about the day's events non stop, letting his thoughts swirl freely around as he tried to come to term with what had happened. He had managed to slip away into his room, to be alone to do so.

'Red X' Robin thought Dryly, 'I've seen him before, I know I have!' No matter how hard he thought about it, he couldn't place him. Thinking about all the hints he had dropped only made it worse. Could he be another one of Jump City's villains playing dressup? Probably not. Millions of thoughts raced through the Boy Wonder's head, before one detail he had overlooked made itself known. Red X was hit but the laser.

Robin's eyes widened behind his checkered mask before he bolted out of his room, nearly running into Starfire. Who from the looks of it, had been heading to her own room.

"Friend Robin, what is wrong?" Starfire's voice was filled with concern, seeing that Robin was in a hurry. That was almost never the case with her more calm and collected friend. Unless it had something to do with Slade...but he's dead.

"Star, just get everyone to the living room, I'm only going to explain this once." Robin stated before turning on his heel and sprinting to where the main computer was located.

Starfire blinked once in confusion before doing as Robin had said. Getting her teammates one by one from there rooms.

When the rest of his team arrived, Robin was furiously typing away on the main screen, bringing up picture after picture obtained from surveillance cameras all around the city.

His team on the other hand, was not even fully awake. They were groggy and irritated about being called from their bedrooms at such an early hour. It didn't even seem to bother Robin that it was half past one in the morning. Even though he would be feeling it later on.

"Dude, why are you waking us up so early?" Beastboy questioned as he yawned, clearly not happy about the situation.

"Yeah man, what gives?" Cyborg asked has he stretched his arms out before crossing them over his chest.

"There's something that I overlooked with our fight with Professor Chang at the Planetarium, or what's left it it anyways." Robin turned to his team, a hint of dread on his face before it was replaced by his signature calm demeanor.

"What did we miss?" Raven asked, speaking up for the first time since she walked in.

"Robin...what is wrong?" Starfire asked, knowing that that ever he was about to say, was bothering him way more then he let his team see.

"Red X was hit by Professor Chang's laser." Robin said dryly, watching as his teams' faces switched from irritated to shock.

Cyborg was the first to speak up "Oh no."

That had managed to overlook one small detail. No big deal right? Wrong. They had overlooked a detail that meant life or death. Life or death for Red X.

Sorry for the cliffhanger, please don't kill me… and I apologize about the length, but I need to pace the story and that comes at the price of writing shorter chapters...
