Authors note: I am so very sorry for the delay. I seem to keep forgetting to update this. I wrote this fanfiction a very long time ago and I have completely forgotten about it. I promise I will do my best to update. Also giving a heads up. Snape will be a little out of character, because I always thought he had a little soft side to him. Here is chapter 4 though.
Hermione Granger never thought that she would be a witch! She knew she was always brilliant, but a witch! That shocked her completely.
Now she is at this place called Diagon Alley with her dad, because her mum had an appointment. Some kid was going to get three teeth pulled for having too many cavities. She was glad that she had perfect teeth. If she didn't, her parents would pull out all of her teeth. At least that is what they said to her when she was younger.
"Is there anything else we need, Hermione?" Her dad asked her as they left the bookstore.
"Let me see, dad." She paused to look at the school supply list on her letter from Hogwarts. "I need a wand." She said, looking at her dad all starry eyed.
"You're still in shock, huh?"
All Hermione could do was nod her head and her dad smiled at that.
"Now, where would we get your wand?" Her dad asked as he looked around, trying to find something that said, "wands sold here" or "wand store"
"Maybe I can help you?" A deep voice asked.
They both turned around abruptly to see who the deep voice belonged too. And Hermione couldn't tear her brown eyes away from this man's mysterious black as coal ones.
He was a little taller than her dad. He was in an all black cloak. His hair was as black as his eyes. For some reason, Hermione's heart was pounding. She may be only 11 years old, but she knew a little about what crushing was. And she was crushing on this gentleman hard.
"Hi. My name is Severus Snape. I am the Potions Master at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." Snape said, holding out his hand.
"Oh hello! My name is Mr. Granger." Her dad shook Snape's hand and then he rested a hand on Hermione's shoulder. "And this is my daughter, Hermione."
Hermione held out her hand and Snape shook it.
"We are looking for a wand, sir. Do you know where we could get one?" Hermione said, her eyes locked on his.
"Ollivanders. It is down that way." Snape pointed in front of him. "It is in a blackish building next to where you can get an owl and other pesky animals."
"Thank you."
Snape nodded his head, turned around, and walked down a road that led to some place called Nocturn Alley.
"Strange fellow." Her dad said.
"Yep." Hermione agreed.
The two of them then walked down the street towards Ollivander's.
Author's note: That is it for Chapter 4. I am sorry it isn't any longer. But like I said, Snape was a little out of character. And I will try to update more soon.
