Chapter 4: The long hard Road to Recovery

It was strange having the scared Latino curl up in his bed but Logan knew it wasn't a first. Carlos was always the slightly timid member of the band at times.

Carlos cowered inside the slide not budging. James went down to try and push him out but instantly he dived straight in. The boys where so stuck on what to do that James and Kendal eded up going to bed.

"Carlos it's okay. Zombies don't exist they are just film characters designed to scare you" Logan sighed.

Logan had single-handedly taken down any Halloween decoration. That night Logan spent the night trying to coax Carlos out. After hours of standing around desperatly hoping Carlos should come out sheepishly he stook his face out.

"Logie can you protect me."

That night Logan was unsure what Carlos wanted but he knew he would do whatever it took to help him. Carlos just needed that extra support sometimes. It wasn't he's a wimp or he's broken he just was never as strong mentally. He took things the wrong way but Logan was always determined to help him anyway possible.

The night drifted away; both boys fell asleep quickly. Carlos had not slept so well for ages but having a trustworthy Logan at his side made it so much easier. Maybe he had misread his friends. He still wasn't sure but he had much more trust with Logan again he just hoped his trust would last.

When Logan awoke, gently he removed Carlos' arm from his chest so he could skip out of bed. He wasn't going to leave incase he made the Latino even more nervy he just didn't want to be trapped in bed. Logan slid on a fresh top before tiding his room a little. Last night it had been dark and Carlos wouldn't of seen the mess but now rays of light were poking through the curtains he knew it would be an embarrassment if his friend was to awake.

The boys always assumed Logan would be an organised, sophisticated person but with all the stress and work he put in his room often suffered.

The mess had been hidden by the time Carlos opened his eyes.

"Morning." Logan smiled to him.

Carlos blinked, "Urrrrh... hiiiiiii?"

Logan instantly knew Carlos was suffering. It was unlike the confident teen to be nervous infrount of anyone, especially him.

"Carlos," Logan began. "If you dont want to go do rehersal or go out you don't have to okay. But I'm here for you buddy."

He was sure he saw him smile for possibly a second. But instantly Carlos shrivelled up again.

"Nah, it's okay. But thanks, Logie." Carlos replied looking down.

There were awkward tensions every time one of them spoke. Carlos had felt really uncomfortable around the boys recently but now Logan knew it was like his secrets were all gone. He couldn't work out of he felt safer. Or possibly worse. Or if Logan may go telling everyone. The poor boys pain was now both mental and physical. He was really struggling with just fitting in with life again.

I'm really sorry this is a bit shorter than previous chapters however I really wanted to get this up and I'm sure my writing will be better in another chapter rather that dragging out this one so here you go. Thanks so much for reading it means a lot. I guess this is more of a memory chapter and moments between Logan and Carlos
