Heyy, so its been awhile. I'm so sorry, school is just hectic. But guess what? We reached 30+ reviews meaning that this story will continue.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: I decided to change the rating to 'M' due to the material in this chapter and for others to come. There are hints of rape and there are torture scenes in this chapter. I tried to lessen it so that the minors who are reading this are still fine with it.
I hope you enjoy reading! Btw. There's a reference to another anime in this chapter. See if you can guess it.

"What do you want from us?" Naruto spat out. He tried to hold his breath due to the offensive smell emitting from the ogre before him.
The green beast gruffed. He took a mighty step out of the bush and leaned his face into Naruto's personal space. His fowl breath would cause Naruto to move however he didn't; he stood his ground looking ever so sickly. If he moved then it would show who was the toughest.
Naruto could see the ogre's teeth quite clearly as it was basically shoved into his face. The ogre's teeth were a disgusting brown colour, different pieces of meat stuck in between each crack. They were big, sharp and very strong. It showed that humans or other beings could be eaten easily. Those sharp teeth could grind and chew through flesh and bones. If anything were to happen, it would be minced Naruto who was stuck in those vile teeth.
"You know, you could really use a breath mint, or better yet, a dentist." He said somehow without vomiting.
The ogre moved back, not amused with Naruto's words. "You're in our territory. Do you know what that means?"
"Um..that we should move?" There was a glint of light for a moment coming from behind the bush. Naruto eyed the bush suspiciously but said nothing of it. When the beast blinked, Naruto took the chance and quickly threw something into his mouth and chewed it.
The green beast unpleasantly laughed. "Humans and their stupidity." His large green hand pulled out a metal bat from the shrubs of leaves. He tapped it with his other palm as if he was testing how hard it was. "It means we eat you."
Behind him, the wanderer felt the ground shake and low gruffing noises. He spun around on his heels to see who it was. Another ogre was near the tent. He was also dressed in the same way the first ogre was; ragged pants wrapped around their bottoms leaving their top half exposed.
"Shit! Hime!" He yelled. He began charging at the Yunomi forgetting about the ogre behind him. "Don't you dare touch her."
WAM!
The loud sound of a crack echoed through the night air. Naruto fell hard to the ground with a thud. Harsh pain came from his head. With the remaining strength he had, his hand reached for the back of his head. Red fluid soaked it whole – blood. Dammit, I was almost there. That fucking ogre...he'll pay for this.
The last thing Naruto saw before falling unconscious was a large figure walking away. A sleeping princess was hung over one of their shoulders.
He grinded his teeth in frustration. I'll save you soon. Then blackness took over as his eyes fell shut.
OoOoO
After an hour or so, Hinata awoke to massive pain striking her head. Her head pounded every few seconds from her trip to Naruto's brain. She winced and her pale eyes strained to open.
The medicine wore off.
Although she opened her eyes, the princess couldn't see anything. It was the same as being asleep; a blank canvas of black. She closed her eyes. She tried to concentrate on her surroundings rather than the migraine torturing her head. The dirt beneath her was cold and moist. It would definitely stain her kimono later. The air was chilling meaning that she wasn't in the tent anymore. Her hands were tightly tied together with thick rope. She tried to wiggle out of it but it wouldn't loosen. Exhausted, she gave up.
She soon became frightened. Not being able to see anything, unable to move and the fear of not knowing what was going on scared her. Was there anyone who was going to save her? What happened to her knight? Was he the one who did this to her while she was unconscious? Her headache worsened; there were too many questions swirling about in her head.
"Well now that we're done with him. Let's start." A very low and snotty voice said.
Quickly, Hinata closed her eyes and slowed down her breathing. She pretended to still be unconscious to listen for clues. Who's talking? Him? Is he talking about Naruto? What happened to Naruto?
"Hold on there, Dren. We must wait until our leader comes." His voice was even lower.
Hinata could now smell the ogre as it walked to her. She tried not to gag or make any sudden movements that could ruin her act. Please don't touch me. Just please don't find ou—ugh please don't come closer. Whoever you are, I recommend taking a bath….with lots of soap.
"Looking at her now, she sure is a beauty." It sounded like Dren.
"Don't touch her – leader's orders."
With calloused hands, the ogre stroked her cheek. As he touched her, Hinata felt like she was rubbing her skin against sand paper. It was rough and edgy not to mention dirty. Who knows what those meaty hands touched.
"Oh, don't you worry there Harl; he isn't here so he wouldn't know." Dren snickered. "Come on; let's have some fun with her before she ends up in our stomachs. You don't find beautiful women out in the woods these days."
The princess gulped. She was terrified - the first day of being out of the palace and already she was in trouble. She wanted ever so badly to smack his hand away and escape. Please don't touch me, dear god no. I don't want to die as a meal.
It took a moment before Harl made up his mind. His decision was Hinata's demise.
Somebody help me please!
OoOoO
Off in a separate room, Naruto blinked his eyes open. He immediately smelt the strong copper scent of blood. His eyes were still cloudy from his awakening. Blinking them a few times then rubbing them proved to clear his vision. Getting up from his current position, he sat up and stretched his body muscles. His shoulders and back were stiff from his previous plummet to the ground.
That reminds me, Hinata was taken! Where is she?!
Just as he swung his head to the side to look for her, there was a sting that came from his head. His hand, dried up with blood, went to touch the back of his head. There was definitely blood dyed onto his hair, he could feel the moisture still lingering there. The wanderer flinched as he touched the wounded spot, however he smiled triumphantly.
It worked right on time.
The soldier pill he chewed on before had done its charm. He had guessed that the thing behind the ogre was something to be worried about. The soldier pill had quickly activated and protected his body from total harm. The cracking sound heard earlier was from the protection suit breaking as the bat came near his head. Although the suit was thin – so thin that the only way to know if it was there was if the person had a shiny gleam to their appearance – it could protect anything in it to a certain extent. At the moment, the only reason he could come up with about why he bled was because of the rough texture of the weapon. It had scraped a few layers of the skin at the top of his neck after the protection suit wore off. If Naruto hadn`t eaten the pill, he would undoubtedly be a goner by now. The blow would`ve cracked his skull into small bits and pieces and ultimately he would've died in the forest with no medical help.
After giving his head an inspection, for the first time, he noticed that his clothes had gone missing - the cloak was gone, his shirt disappeared and his gloves vanished. The only garment that was left was his black pants.
He scanned the room for his belongings but he was in for a surprise. From the look at the walls, he assumed that he was brought to a tree house. However the scenery in the room was not expected. In one corner of the room, there were pots and pans along with other cooking utensils. The strong copper smell of blood wasn't coming from him. There were many jars filled with body parts - ears, eyeballs, fingers and any other small parts that could fit in a jar. At the other corner of the room sat a pile of bones and there was a bubbling cauldron set in the center of the room. The solid table that Naruto sat on was a bloody mess. He hastily scrammed off the table. His back must have been coated in sticky blood.
Naruto was in the kitchen. A surge of anger washed through him. They were killing people to satisfy their hunger. The ogre wasn't kidding when he said that he'll eat him. What about Hinata? Were they planning to eat her too? Was she already dead?
No - he believed that she was still alive. There weren't any signs of her body parts. The knives were also clean and dry, no sign of being used.
Current mission: escape before anyone returns.
As he walked to the door, he tried looking for his belongings. There, at the bottom of the cauldron, burning in the pit of the fire was his shirt. His black cloak was also thrown in.
Frowning, Naruto found a bucket full of water and dumped it into the fire. His cloak was fine, not a hint of it was burnt off due to the material it was made out of. It was custom sewn using the fur of a fire rat - a highly fire resistant material. The shirt, however, was burnt until a sleeve was the remaining product. Most likely, his gloves were already burnt.
Ugh, two more items to add onto the shopping list.
Just as he was wringing out the water in his cloak, the ground rumbled every few seconds. Someone was approaching the door. Naruto quickly fastened his clothes on and sprung to the nearest cutting board. He picked out the first weapon he saw; luckily it was a very sharp cleaver. Then he hid behind the door.
Creak
The door opened. A female ogre walked in with an apron full of guts and blood. Her curly vibrant orange hair didn't suit her round stature and green skin. Snot dripped down out if her nose no matter how many times she snorted it up.
Naruto grinned evilly. She didn't notice him creep up behind her. So far so good. This bitch was the chef in the ogre den. She was the one who killed for pleasure. She was the one who would kill him next if he hadn't woken up.
In a moment, with a kick in the rear end, she fell with a thud. She cried as her meaty hands were twisted backwards and weight sat on her back.
Naruto glared at her. "If you cry for help, I'll cut each finger off slowly so that you could feel the cold knife slicing through your flesh and bones." As if to prove the knife's sharpness, the cleaver glinted in Naruto's hand.
The female ogre growled. She wasn't amused in the slightest. "I leave for a few minutes and come back to find our dinner still alive. How? Dren should've killed you with his club."
"Shut up!" He raised her hands higher behind her back. "I'm doing the questioning here." He stared down at her until she no longer fidgeted. "Where is the girl that was with me?"
"Not here."
"Where is she?" Naruto's voice hardened. He was desperate to know.
The ogre giggled. "What a feisty human you are. She's probably dead by now."
In anger, Naruto got the knife and sliced off a thumb. Blood sprayed everywhere as the large green flesh fell to the ground with a splat. Blood poured onto his hand as he continued to hold her hands. Despite the gross trickle of someone else's blood, Naruto showed no signs of being repulsed. The boy didn't even flinch when slicing it off or hesitate when making the decision. He was accustomed to the sight of blood. Although torturing and killing wasn't his style, there were times when he had no choice but to and this was one of them.
"Iasked a question and I want it answered correctly." He leaned into her ear. "Should I repeat myself?"
She was crying large glugs of tears from the excruciating pain. A hand without a finger frightened her. What was left of her thumb, throbbed and stung from the freshly-made incision. The amount of air touching it pained her as if a thousand needles were struck in a single spot.
"If this is causing you this much pain, imagine if all of your fingers were gone. This is what you did to other people, isn't it only fair for you to also share their pain?" The happy-go-lucky Naruto was gone, left with only a sadist. His bright blue eyes were now clouded by a dark blue hue.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" She pleaded for him to spare her remaining nine fingers. "She-she's outside at the swamp in the back. Dren and Harl should be there with her."
"Are you sure?"
"Positive."
"Alright, I'll trust you on this. But," He found some rope that was conveniently lying under the kitchen counter. "just in case you do something, I'll have to tie you up." It took him a while to tie a knot that would hold the tough strength of an ogre.
"Be sure not to run into Master. He's even stronger than us ogres." She cackled as Naruto closed the kitchen door.
I'll keep that in mind. 'Than us ogres', so he's not one of them.
After exiting the gruesome kitchen, Naruto headed behind the tree. There were large trees all over the place with wooden doors and windows. Fire-lit candles were hung against their doorways, igniting his pathway with lights. Although this helped him see better in the night, it also stopped him from advancing quick enough. There were ogres walking and talking conveniently around. He covered his head luckily with a black hood and snuck around the back of trees to get to his destination.
The amount of trees became thicker the deeper he went. The doors lessoned until there were no more tree houses. There was no point in sneaking around anymore so Naruto walked easily. The smell of wet grass and mud grew stronger as he strutted forward. There was definitely a swamp here; the old lady hadn't been lying.
That was when he heard screams of terror and yelling. It was muffled but Naruto had a guess who it was. He sped up for every stride he took until he broke out into a run. The screams were getting louder and the yelling, harsher and harsher.
"Get away from me!"
That soft voice could only belong to one person. It was the princess's voice. There was sadness, agitation but most of all fear etched into her tone. Something definitely was happening to her and it was caused by the other two voices.
His heart sped ten times harder. What were they doing to her?
"Don't scream bitch, we don't want unwanted guests." Naruto recognized that the voice belonged to Dren, the same ogre that started this whole problem.
Despite the ogre's wants, Hinata continued to yell and make a fuss. Once the ogre had dragged her hair to wake her up, she decided to throw off her sleeping disguise. Although her eyes were open, she couldn't see a thing. She didn't know where the vile beasts were and where they were going to touch her next. The only hints she got was the warmth that radiated from their skin as they grew near. So far, nothing serious happened; she had dodged their assaults by rolling away on her side. She had no choice but to roll on the ground anyways; her legs were tied. However, the earthy ground was soft, moist and most of all, ripping her kimono from the sharp pebbles. Her hands were still tied behind her back, paining her shoulders.
Thud!
Her rolling came to a sudden stop once a large foot blocked her way. Hinata gulped. She couldn't get any farther.
"Looks like we finally caught you, you little rat. Now do us a favor and sit properly." Before she could comprehend what was going on, the ogre picked her up by the ropes on her hands and threw her into the arms of another.
She tried to wiggle out of his grasp but it was futile. The man had an iron grip on her. "Let go of me!"
"If you struggle any harder, I'll twist your bones until you could see it sticking out of your skin." It was Harl who was carrying her. Hinata had finally stopped thrashing around when she felt a huge hand wrap around her ankle. She was thrown onto the ground, possibly bruising her rear end.
"Now that you've calmed down, I'd say that it's time for some action." His chuckles sent chills down her spin. Hinata had no choice but to listen to Harl and Dren for if she refused, she would be dying in agony. Complete fear had overtaken her and her body shook as the two ogres tried to unravel her kimono. If it weren't for the many layers of the outfit, her body would be already exposed. It was a struggle for them to untie the many accessories to it; Hinata could hear their grunts of disapproval. For why they didn't just rip apart her clothes puzzled her. They definitely had the strength to but why weren't they?
"What pretty clothes, seems like it could be from a wealthy family. Selling it would give us a fortune."
Oh, that was why.
On her left, Hinata heard the sounds of soft rustling. She guessed that the sound came from a bush.
"I agree. They are pretty, so pretty that you don't deserve to touch it."
Tears of happiness weld up in the corners of her eyes. The voice belonged to her knight. He was there to save her. The ogres hadn't killed him and he was safe.
Naruto couldn't control the harshness in his voice. He was more than angry at the sight he had stumbled on. From his anger, he killed the first ogre he saw. The cleaver he held was sharp enough to cut through Harl's neck. His ugly face rolled off onto the ground and landed with his perverted face still intact. Harl hadn't noticed Naruto's presence. The bloodied body fell on top of its head with a bone crackling noise.
Naruto's cerulean blue eyes held Dren's startled gaze. His lips were formed into a straight line and his blond eyebrows were furrowed.
"Impossible. You should be-"Dren looked at the knife that Naruto still held. Blood dripped from the blade and his hands were coated in dry blood. That meant that he had killed someone before getting to Harl. This man that stood before him was tough enough to severe the head of an ogre.
Naruto stepped closer. "Dead? Sorry, but I don't die that easily." His eyes went to Dren's hand. "What were you doing to my princess? Remove that hand immediately."
The lone ogre was snapped out of his thoughts and gained back his composure. "And what if I don't?" He yanked harder on Hinata's kimono giving her a yelp.
"Then I'll do this." In a flash, Naruto appeared in front of Hinata. With the bloodied cleaver, he cut off another hand that night.
"Gee, you're knives sure are sharp." The knight glanced from the weapon to the pain stricken face of the ogre. "It's only pay back for what you did to me earlier."
Dren held his wounded arm and cried. "Wh-what the fuck did you-"
"Shut up!" Naruto's loud voice made Hinata cringe. She wasn't used to hearing such bitterness come from his mouth. Just what did Naruto do to her kidnappers?
She hesitated while calling out his name. "N-naru-"
He turned around. His violent face turned to worry. "Are you alright, Hinata?"
She wiggled out of the ropes as Naruto cut them. "I'm fine; it's just that the medicine wore off. I can't see."
Once again, she received a kind pat on her head. "Thank goodness nothing extremely bad happened to you. I wouldn't know what I'd do. Well then, shall we go?"
Before she could reply, Hinata was whooshed off her feet. He held her bridal style and as close to his body as possible. She blushed as she felt the muscles on his chest and arms. She could feel that he wasn't wearing a shirt from the way her hand touched cold bare flesh. With this in mind, Hinata quickly pulled her hand off his chest and tucked it in her lap.
"Relax yourself, I could feel that your tense." Naruto chuckled. It was weird considering how angry he was before. It was like she boosted his energy
Hinata waved her head. "I-I'm heavy, you don't have to-"
Naruto shushed her. "Nonsense, we're going."
"Wait," It was Dren. He had ripped a part of his clothing to tie around the wound. "You're not going anywhere."
Another death glare came from Naruto. "Do you seriously want to continue?"
The ogre charged at his opponent, ready to tackle him down. However, a jolt of pain thurst up his arm. Dren staggered to the ground. Sweat beamed on his forehead as he panted from exhaustion.
"It's either die from me or escape now with your hand to sew it back on. But then again, you can lie there and die from blood lost. The decision is all up to you."
Without listening to Dren's reply, Naruto walked away with Hinata in his arms. He was just about to walk back through the bushes when he was once again interrupted.
"Hang on, young lad." The voice was raspy. It didn't belong to Dren.
Naruto turned around only to see a skinny man stand in front of Harl's dead body.
"Who are you?" Naruto was alert.
The man had an eerie feeling to him. Naruto hadn't heard or felt his presence till now. The man had extremely pale skin that his veins could be seen. Long black hair grew out of his head and fell beneath his waist. His golden eyes had slits in his pupils and there were purple markings around his eyes. A long red tongue slithered out of his mouth.
A snake Fein, huh?
"Master!"
The snake looked to its subordinate lying on the ground. "Useless garbage. Let me end you're misery." He threw a small pin onto Dren and immediately Dren's body started to convulse. It trashed around until blood oozed out his mouth and nose. Then it fell silent.
The man wasn't someone to be messed with. "Looks like you've done a lot of damage for a human. You're an interesting fellow; killing ogres isn't the easiest thing." The Fein cackled.
"Who are you?"
"Orochimaru." He hissed. "That mark on your chest, you're part of Arcadia aren't you?"
"Arcadia?" Hinata whispered.
Naruto shifted Hinata in his arms to cover the black tattoo. He ignored Orochimaru's question.
Another unsettling laugh erupted from Orochimaru's mouth. "I was going to use the Ena, but you've entertained me quite enough. I'll let you go."
Naruto hesitated and eyed the man suspiciously.
"Go before I change my mind. Take your princess and leave."
OoOoO
"Im sorry, I said that I would protect you and yet I got you harmed." Naruto said. They were making their way back to their campsite. It was almost morning. The sky had gotten lighter.
"It's fine, you came back for me and that's all that matters." a moment of silence till she spoke again. "Why are you protecting me so hard? Many would leave if they were attacked by ogres...or anything else."
"It's my duty. I decided to be your knight and promised the emperor that I would keep you safe. I don't go back on my promises."
Although she couldn't see, she could feel that Naruto was smiling. "Thank you." She also smiled. In a few minutes, her eyes closed and her breathing became shallow.
"It's been a long night. Good night Hinata-Hime." Naruto quietly said. She was already dozed off from exhaustion, unable to feel the brush of his lips against her forehead.
So what are your thoughts? If it feels sped up, then I'm sorry. I had difficulties with this chapter (another reason why I haven't updated in a while)
Well, as you can see, Naruto isn't his usual persona, he's going to be a bit dark in this fic due to his background (soon to be coming). Soldier pills are also different in this story.
Until next time folks, next update will most likely be in July due to my exams in June. If you have any story ideas leave a review or pm me. Till then,
~ Fred
