To sparklehannah: hehe I did that on purpose, I couldn't find anything else like it... any other fanfiction that I read has random pranks that don't relate to the guardian at all.
Sorry it's been a while... Anyway, here you go, people! Next chapter!
The preparation for the third prank was going to take action in the kitchen as well, but not with Sprite this time.
As usual, the elves were putting cookies on a plate and pouring milk into a glass on North's orders, since North is always up for cookies and milk, and makes them fresh in his workshop.
The elves left probably to get something, one of them leaving with a cookie in his mouth. Jamie briefly wondered whether the little elves' stomach was even big enough for that cookie. Jack took the opportunity to enter the kitchen, quickly going about his work. Jamie was upstairs checking if North was in his room or not, and if he wasn't, Jamie would put the camera in there.
Jack went into the cupboards, taking out the salt. What he didn't notice is that Tooth was in there as well. Tooth was there from before, and when she noticed Jack, she immediately became suspicious. Tooth came up from behind Jack and thoroughly startled him when she said, "What are you doing here, Jack?" Jack jumped, and turned around, and then Tooth burst out in laughter.
She noticed the graffiti on Jack's face and couldn't stop laughing, and her entire, "I'm trying to be serious here" mood was thrown out the window. After that, she couldn't help smiling with amusement whenever she saw Jack's face. Jack couldn't stop smiling at her smile, and both of their cheeks turned red. They stayed like that for a moment, not saying anything, just enjoying each other's company.
Jamie chose that moment to walk in, but none of the two immortals in the room noticed him, so Jamie took a photo, then made his presence known. "Awww..." He said, effectively catching both of their attention, "You two look adorable together" At that, both Jack and Tooth looked away from each other, pretending nothing had happened, but the even redder shade of their faces told otherwise. Jack clutched his staff in front of his face, trying, but failing to hide his blush. Tooth didn't try to hide it, but instead tried to distract herself from it by smoothing down the feathers on her head. Jamie just laughed.
"Yeah, go ahead and laugh, when you get older, you'll know how it feels to be made fun of for liking somebody!" Jack argued.
"YEEEEES! You admit it, Jack, you like her! And by the way, I'll never be as old as you!" Jamie said, making Tooth and Jack's faces to get even redder, if that was even possible.
"Okay! That's enough, back to what we were doing! Let's be serious here for once!" Jack tried to get Jamie to stop laughing.
"Umm... Jack? It's quite impossible to be serious when you have a Sharpie masterpiece all over your face." Tooth commented.
"'Tis Sandy's fine work" Jack countered.
"Is it, now?"
Jack nodded and twirled his fake mustache asking, "Does it look good?" Tooth burst out in giggles, then Jack went back to the trick, he didn't want to get caught. Jack looked at the salt, which was still in his hand, and put it in the milk, later stirring it with a spoon. Tooth observed as Jack did this, and Jamie discussed with him on how to get North out of the room.
Later Jack and Jamie decided to lure North out of the room by telling him Jack had knocked over a stack of blue toy robots. Tooth had joined in to help by now.
Jamie and Tooth went up to North's room and told him all about the blue robots and how Jack had knocked them over, and with Tooth there, the whole thing just sounded more believable. At the end of the explanation, North left his room grumbling something about, "I told him to paint those red!"
Downstairs, Jack had simply taken two robots off of the pile and when North came back in, put them back. To North, it looked like Jack had just finished stacking them back one on top of another in that familiar pyramid shape. North asked what Jack had been up to and Jack came up with a fake plot of having knocked it down to stall for Tooth and Jamie to secure and disguise the camera. North noticed the graffiti on Jack's face and asked about that, and Jack gave him the super stretched out version of the story.
Meanwhile, in North's room:
Jamie and Tooth were done putting the camera in a good spot, and both went out of the room as fast as they could. They found the elves coming with the plate and Tooth distracted them while Jamie sent Jack the signal. Jack wrapped up the conversation and flew away, leaving North to go back to his room. It was now up to Jamie and Tooth to ensure the plan was carried out.
When Jamie and Tooth were certain North was back in his room, they let the elves past them. From the inside of the room, they heard North's voice, "Oh! There are my cookies! What took so long?" A second later, they heard the sound of North spitting milk out of his mouth and say, "What did you do to this? The milk is sour!" Tooth and Jamie giggled. Jack couldn't hear, but that's why the camera was there. When North stormed out of his room, he was met with A laughing Tooth and Jamie.
"Did you two do this? This looks like something Jack would do." North said.
"Yeah, Jack came up with the plan, and we just carried it out." Jamie said, not laughing anymore.
"Tooth, I thought you at least would be more responsible!" North scolded.
"Come on, even I need to have fun sometimes! Besides, what they were doing looked like fun..." Tooth replied.
"Let me find Jack, then I will give him a piece of my MIND! Nobody messes with my milk and cookies..." And with that, North stormed off.
Jamie and Tooth took the opportunity to get the camera out of the room and then they went down to see what was going on, and what was going on was chaos! Jack was flying around the workshop, North hot on his heels. Yetis confused and elves being toppled over, and any guardian that happened to be in the way raising an eyebrow at the scene, North doesn't usually waste time on chasing Jack, there's usually no use. Then, Jack made an ice slide just under North, and it sent North sliding across the workshop.
When the ice slide finally ended, Jack stood laughing in front of North, who was on his belly. Then, without Jack realizing, North got up, and gave Jack a bone crushing hug, but it wasn't as friendly as much as it was to contain Jack. North then carried Jack outside and set him down in the freezing cold, not that Jack cared that it was cold, it was just that he didn't have a way to get back in. Looks like there was a reason to chase Jack after all.
He stayed there for a bit, but later went to a window and asked Jamie to open it from the inside. Once Jack was in, he was already thinking of the Grand Prank Finale, Bunny's prank... ooooh this was going to be good.
Yay! Another chapter done!
