Shiku Sawada sighed as he plopped down in his seat and placed his head on the desk. He sighed once again, Doesn't Hibari-san understand that he only makes me even more late! He probably would have continued his sulking if the teacher hadn't walked in.
"Okay so, we have a new student in our class. I want you to welcome Gesso Tsunayoshi."
The door opened and a small, dark brown haired girl walked in. She walked up to the side of the teacher's desk and turned to face the class. Immediately, every boy (excluding an oblivious Yamamoto) in the class blushed when they saw her face. She had wide amber eyes and even though her mouth was in a strait line, they were sure she'd look beautiful smiling.
Shiku's face was a dark red as Tsunayoshi bowed to the class, "Please take care of me."
"Alright Gesso, your seat is next to Sawada's over there. Sawada, raise your hand!"
Shiku shot strait up out of his seat, "Here!" The class giggled as the teacher sighed, "That wasn't really necessary, I asked you to raise your hand."
Shiku blushed and slowly sat back down as the class erupted into to laughter. Tsuna's expression didn't change as she walked silently to her seat, ignoring their teacher trying calm down the class. Shiku sent a glance Tsuna's way, but then immediately looked down at his lap after.
*BlackCat*
The moment class ended, the students flocked around Tsuna's desk.
"Are you really our age? You look younger."
"Isn't there a new guy in some higher grade called 'Gesso'?"
"Do you have a cell phone?"
"Do you have a boyfriend?"
"Do want a boyfriend?"
They just kept asking questions (mostly about her relationship status), apparently not bothered by the fact that Tsuna wasn't answering anything. Actually, she wasn't even paying them any attention.
Tsuna inwardly sighed, she came to find Vongola Decimo (and her guardians) but forgot how annoying middle school kids could be. Tsuna sent a quick unnoticeable glance Shiku and saw him staring at her (like everyone else in the room), but he quickly ran out of the room when a large boy shoved him from the side. Tsuna would have rolled her eyes but focused her train of thought on Uni instead. Tsuna felt bad about not bringing her with them, but it was probably better that way.
*FlashBack*
"Eh, I can't go?" Uni may be the most responsible eight year-old ever, but she still had an adorable puppy dog face.
Byakuran chuckled and patted her on the head, "Sorry, but you know there will be assassins in Namimori because of Decimo, and you can't fight."
"And we'll be at school half of the time which will put you to far away for us to protect you from attack." Tsuna added.
Uni pouted, showing her childish side, "No fair!"
Luckily, that's when Aria came in, "Don't worry, they'll visit during the holidays, and it will only be a long as it takes to jog Tsuna's guardians memory."
"But who knows how long that will take?" Tsuna elbowed Byakuran in the stomach and gave him a that's-not-helping glare while Byakuran sat there with an innocent expression.
Looking at her two "siblings", Uni sighed and crossed her arms with a cute puff of her cheeks, "Just visit a lot, okay?"
The three had a cute family moment then the two older kids went off to pack.
*FlashBackEnd*
Tsuna didn't show it when they left, but she's really going to miss being with her family. About a year after Tsuna had come into this world and moved into the Giglio Nero mansion, Aria gave birth to Uni. Ever since then, Tsuna and (surprisingly) Byakuran have been the best older siblings ever; Uni always came first.
Tsuna sighed. Speaking of her "siblings", she had better go before Byakuran comes to make a scene in her classroom.
Tsuna stood up suddenly, surprising her classmates, "I have to go." She quickly left the classroom, not noticing that she woke up a sleeping Yamamoto.
"Huh? The new girl left? To bad, I didn't even get to talk to her!" Almost immediately, he was pulled off to practice by his baseball buddies.
Tsuna walked calmly out of her classroom and started on her way down the hall to find Byakuran.
"Who the hell do you think you are?"
Tsuna looked over to her side and saw a group of boys surrounding the boy that sat next to her, Shiku Sawada, who was huddled on the ground. One of the boys sneered, "What were you staring at the new girl for? She's way out of your league!"
Shiku shrank into himself, cowering from the disgusted looks he was getting. The boys laughed at the pathetic display, not noticing the presence behind them.
"What are you doing?" The boys all whirled around to meet Tsuna's emotionless gaze, "Why are you bullying a classmate?"
The boys, especially Shiku, were awestruck that she took her time to stop and talk to them. Tsuna's eyes still showed nothing, but her mouth formed a small frown.
"W-we were just playing!"
"Yeah! We were having fun with our friend!"
Tsuna ignored there pathetic excuses and walked past them up to Shiku, "Are you okay, Sawada-san?"
Shiku blinked and glanced at the glowering boys I the back before nervously looking back at the outstretched hand in front of him.
Tsuna noticed his hesitation and turned to the boys behind her, "Leave. Now."
The bullies wasted no time ran down the hall, getting as far away from the dark atmosphere forming around Tsuna as they possibly could. Shiku stared at the running boys in shock, and was startled by the hand appearing back in his face, "Are you getting up or not?" Shiku quickly grabbed Tsuna's hand and pulled himself off of the ground.
Before his feet were even properly planted on the ground, he gave Tsuna a proper Japanese bow, "Thank you so much for helping me!" He immediately ran down the hall, away from Tsuna.
Tsuna blinked, "Sawada-san!" Shiku froze and stiffly turned back around, "Y-yes?"
"You shouldn't let those people say things like that to you." Tsuna started walking towards Shiku, and just as she was about to reach him, she walked past on her way down the hall.
Shiku stood in the hallway for a few more minutes, trying to comprehend the beautiful transfer student doing so much to help Dame-Shiku. He really hoped his red face would cool down before he went back to class.
*BlackCat*
"I've never seen you act so nice to someone outside of Giglio Nero before." Byakuran commented.
Tsuna gave him an indecipherable look, "Stop spying on me."
Byakuran laughed, "I was just keeping an eye on my younger sister!" He petted Tsuna's head, causing her to squirm. She hated it when he treated her like a cat! (Even if she had to resist the urge to purr)
"So," Byakuran was still smiling, but his eyes held a certain seriousness to them, "Are you becoming friends with the future Vongola Decimo?"
Tsuna looked away, "No," Byakuran raised an eyebrow, but allowed her to finish, "I'm becoming friends with Shiku Sawada." Tsuna's firm tone of voice showed how much she had already thought about it, and how determined she was about this decision.
Byakuran smile turned to a grin, "How humane are you. There are times when I'm proud to be your older brother."
Tsuna rolled her eyes, but had a small smile playing on her lips, "It's time for class."
I finally finished it! I am so slow. Sorry it took so long, I don't really have any excuses. For any one who really enjoys this story, here's the update! I should be posting the second chapter of Harmony pretty soon and the next chapter of the Bonds of the Vongola won't be for a while. I'm trying to get better with my updates, so hopefully it won't be too long. Oh yeah and it's really no mystery that Shiku is the Vongola Decimo since he's the son of Iemitsu and Nana. Just so you don't get any ideas of Tsuna and Byakuran being wrong or something since Reborn isn't there (yet).
