Chapter 4

I walk into the visiting room of the jail with my feet and legs chained up like an animal. The guard came and got me saying I had two visitors knowing my mom and Alex was visiting me. I see two guys who I recognize as friends of Jacob. The ones who was sitting and staring at me during the hospital visit. "Table 4." One of the guys with a deep voice announce at the same time as guard.

"Where is that?" I ask looking into the guy's eyes even though I already know where the table is friend raise his hand and the guard point out the table of where the two is sitting at. I don't know none of them.I take my time walking towards the table thinking of a plan and trying to figure out what they may want from me.

I finally make it to the table and sit down in the chair hands still chained up. The guy leans into the bigger guy's ear. I guess whispering something."Mia Grant. I'm Sam Uley." The bigger guy say looking in my face but I sense he's checking over my body. Sam the gang banger who been going around recruiting members for his gang. "I'm not interested in your gang." I say and the guy looks at Sam.

"I'm guessing your mom never told you about me." "My mom is my mom. She does not have no reason to tell me about no gang member. Our family is clean." I say. He leans over on the table and I lean back feeling an aura from him that make me want to bow down to him.

"We're here to get you out of jail. You'll be living with me for a couple of days while your mother takes care of your nephew." He states. I don't know him nor anything about him. "This is my friend Jared." He say before I can open my mouth to tell him to screw off. I look at Jared. He nods. I ignore him turning my eyes back to Sam. "I'm not joining your game and I do not know you Uley." I say trying to a different approach.

"Your middle name is Uleyna?" "Yes, it is." I say not seeing where he is going with it. Jared looks at Sam who keep his eyes on me. "Your middle name is from my last name Uley." He say talking more calmly now almost like he's an adult but i'm not here for him nor his games. "Look, Sam." I say with an attitude ready to lean over and hit him two times to knock him out. He keeps calm with Jared.

"I am no way related to you. I am hundred percent African American and no way related to a gang member." I say while both of them just listen to me. "You'll come live with me." Sam say. "I'll pass." "No choice or spend the next three years in jail for aggravated assault." "When do I move in?" I ask quickly. I don't want to go to jail. Jared looks at Sam who doesn't answer my question.

We pull up to a two story cabin house that looks a little bit old and dusty. The wood looks old and molded. I hope it's better on the inside. "This is my house." Sam say turning off his truck and taking the keys out of the ignition and putting them in his jean shorts. "It's kind of nice and I guess you don't have a woman." I say. Mostly to clean up the place for him. He doesn't respond.

I take off my seatbelt and opening the door sighing. I guess it's just me and him living in this house. I hop out of the truck and grabbing one of my bags that's holding my clothes. I turn around hearing the truck door closing and see that Sam closed my door. I didn't hear him getting out of the truck. I look at him walking to his house opening up the door.

I sigh looking at the cabin one more time before walking into the house and seeing that it's very woody and beautiful. "My other bags?" I ask throwing my bag down on the floor and putting my hands in my pants pockets. "They're be waiting in the car for you when you decide to get them." He say walking up the stairs. I guess he's going to show me my room.

I pick up my bag closing the door behind me and following him up the stairs were he leading me to a door. "You'll stay in this room." Sam say opening up the door. I walk in looking around to see that it's bigger than my room at my house. He still haven't answered my questions about me being somehow related to him. I walk to the computer desk and rub my fingers across it to check to see if it's dirty or not. It's clean.

I turn around to see him standing in the doorway. "I guess I should thank you for saving me from jail. How can I repay you?" I ask. "Stay out of trouble." "I can do that. Well, I can try but it's hard." "Try harder. You don't want to spend your life in jail and away from your son." "Right, I'll try. Thanks, Sam." I say sitting down on the bed and kicking my shoes off.

I'll get the rest of them later. Sam just stares at me. "So, big brother." "Come down stairs and meet the guys." He say and close the door behind him. I sigh. Guys? He mean either the gang members or maybe his kids. I feel on my pants pockets for my cellphone. Where I have it last? It's probably in one of my bags. I get off the bed and look out the window to see Sam throwing my bags out his truck and onto the ground.

"NOT MY BAGS." I yell trying to open up the window but can't seem to get the locks right. He ignores me while one of his gang members run out from the forest to pick up my bags and running into the house. I didn't even get to catch his face too busy glaring at Sam. He has an attitude problem. "Calm down." I say feeling my heart beating out of my chest.

Sam look directly in my face. Jared walk off the porch and turn around to look me in the face. I calm myself down but still feel the rage inside of me. Someone knock on the bedroom. "Come in." I say voice straining. The door opens up to Embry. "Hey, Mia." He say placing my bags on floor next to the other one. "Hey, Embry. You must be one of the guys. Right, I forgot you're in the gang with Jacob." I say sitting back on the bed. "Yeah." Is all he say exiting out of the bedroom.

I sigh rubbing on my face ready to meet the guys then I can call my mother and ask her a couple of questions about Sam and mostly everything.
