A/N- Wassup? It be TOBN here with some new fairytales! Yass!
Now I know I said I am updating Saturday, but I know I have a baby shower to attend, so I am updating now! Yay!
So last time, we add some OZ to Wonderland, which in my opinion is pretty cool. Talk about crossover, huh? But how will those characters deal with a crossover? How will the FAIRYTALE REALM deal with a crossover? Also, we added some Ella Enchanted to Ethan's life! I figured that it would be the best if that's what happened to Ethan since, y'know, it's awesome? Now today, we are gonna look into Jane's date, Sarah and Erica figuring out about Benny, and Ethan still being obedient and how that deadly curse affects everyone. We also will see how the fairytale realm is going slowly to madness because if you don't already know, Flynn managed to escape the fairytale realm. And I mean, people said that fairytale land is getting crazy. But why? And hey! Surprise twist with Bennica. So read on!
Shoutouts to...
123456789vampire- Thank you! I am glad you liked the chapter. Ethan is not destined to die, but destined to..uh..well, something. I hope that [sorta] answers your question. And Flynn needs to learn a thing or two about how to be smooth and kind. I mean, in Tangled he was just fine. Charming, handsome, etc. But I guess when you are possessing someone, you could get really cranky. Jokes! Thanks for the review!
MBAV fan66- I won't lie; the Cheshire Cat always freaked me out. Jokes! And congrats fanfic buddy! You got every single thing right for the guess the fairytale game! Good job ;) The whole Ella Enchanted thing makes Ethan even MORE vulnerable! Oh no! Jokes! And I know right? Stephanie has some competition. It sucks when you are a villain, and besides the hero, you have MORE rivals. Well. Who is it? All I could say is this: Who names all games. So pay attention to the bold italic word in that sentence. It'll help you out. Thanks for the soda/review fanfic buddy! I got bags of them candy! *Starts munching*
And with that, let's get started, eh?
Disclaimer: I don't own MBAV or its characters. Just this plot. I don't own all these folk tales/fairytales. The creators do. But they are pretty awesome :)
ENJOY!
After Ever After: Chapter 4: Burning Realm
Erica knelt beside the unconscious body of Benny, as Sarah felt his pulse. Erica sighed.
"Why is this even-"
Suddenly, Erica felt something pull out of Benny's body. The force was so strong, it knocked Erica right over. Erica gasped as a sparkling streak of white zoomed out of Benny's body and onto the floor. It spread against the tiles as Erica and Sarah stepped back a bit, sort of scared and anticipating what was to happen. When the sparkling image took form as air, it shivered pink and started to speak.
"Great." Its voice said, startling Erica and Sarah. "Now what. That boy got me out too soon. I cannot stay in this form. I need something to possess." Erica hissed her fangs, her face red hot with fury.
"You aren't going near us. Or him." She said infuriatingly. The spirit wavered a bit as it gave out a laugh.
"Well, I obviously cannot go into you. I am a dude. Second of all, I cannot possess him again because for one, he is unattractive and two, he really doesn't like me. And until I get a body, he's not waking up. So, ladies," The sparkle shivered around Erica and Sarah.
"Got bodies?" It joked. Erica and Sarah exchanged looks.
"Exactly what are you and who are you." Sarah asked, breaking the silence as her question sounded more like a statement. The sparkle sighed.
"Save that for when magic boy wakes up. So. Anything will do. It could be a doll, a person - Which I would approve-, or maybe a animal. That would be pretty awesome." Erica and Sarah exchanged looks.
"Well, I have some old toys downstairs in my basement. You could possess one of those prince dolls I had when I was six." Sarah said, hoping that would work. "Are we seriously helping this piece of-" If the mist had a face, Erica would know it would be smiling.
"Let us go then, foxy one." It said quickly, cutting Erica off quite rudely. It swirled around Sarah, whisking itself and Sarah out. Erica stayed behind with Benny as she sobbed beside him. She now knew the truth. Something was possessing Benny. And she let her anger get in the way of finding out what was wrong with him.
"What kind of princess am I if I cannot even help my prince?" She murmured, crying into Benny's unconscious body.
"Table for two please."
Jane and Gaston linked hands as the waitress nodded, leading them into the dining area and sat them down in a table near a huge chandelier. They got the menus as Jane smiled fondly at the choices.
"Dang!" Jane said in shock. "These things are more expensive than our house!" Gaston laughed.
"Have you a strong humor, my Belle?" Jane blushed, lowering her eyes to the ground meekly. "Um..uh..." She stammered, already breaking the first rule her brother had told her. Great. Sweat beaded her forehead as she wiped it furiously. Second rule also broken. And they were not even five minutes in the date yet! Jane found that really sad.
"S-So! Gaston. T-That is a really awesome name, I mean, not like it wasn't in the start, and uh.." Jane desperately tried to start a conversation as Gaston chuckled, leaning over the table to kiss her cheek. Jane's eyes widened as her heart raced a thousand miles per second.
"This is a nice place. Just like you." He said truthfully. Jane smiled. "T-Thanks. I am being so not causal right now." She admitted, almost face palming. She broke three rules already! She really needed to step up her A game.
She ordered, as with Gaston. Their food came moments later as Jane pulled out a book from bag. Gaston looked at it and smiled.
"You are really Belle." He said in amazement of the relation. Jane wiped the hair from her eyes as she looked at him in confusion.
"Uh, thanks?" She said, thinking he meant beautiful in Italian again. Gaston nodded approvingly as they finished off dinner and went home.
When they arrived at Gaston's house, Gaston walked her to his room. Jane was surprised to see many posters of himself, flexing his muscles and all that stuff. She smiled.
"You really like yourself." Gaston smiled. "I guess. Every girl fell for me, and I can make the same with you." He said, taking off his shirt as he unzipped the back of Jane's dress. Jane's smile faltered.
"Um, we gonna have a fashion show?" She asked hopefully. Gaston smiled. "Do you wanna have more fun?" He asked. Jane started to panic. This was breaking the fourth rule that her brother teased about! And it was actually going to happen! She then realized that Gaston may not be as handsome as she thought. More like self centered. Jane zipped her dress quickly as she backed up.
"Um, maybe I should go." Jane said quickly, grabbing her bag. Gaston grinned as his hands fired a blue light. Jane gasped.
"G-Gaston...Belle..oh my gosh." Jane exclaimed in realization. Gaston really Gaston from Beauty and The Beast! And she was Belle. She really needed to fix her love life. She tried to magic up some stuff of her own, but she couldn't. Gaston smiled evilly.
"Where did your magic go? Remind yourself not to let boys kiss you on your hand. Some places really suck the magic out of you." Jane suddenly felt really stupid. When Gaston kissed her hand the day they met, he must have sucked the magic out of her. So that was why she felt weak. Because Gaston stole her powers. Jane looked fearfully at Gaston as he grinned.
"What do you want with me?" Jane asked in fear and terror. Gaston grinned.
"I wanna have some fun."
And with that, Gaston fired a shot at Jane. Jane roared in agony as her vision had blurry spots of darkness.
Then it just snapped closed.
The fairytale realm was a magical place indeed.
A dwarf was walking the paths of the forest when he stumbled across a small flame. He curiously walked towards it, mesmerized by its shape and form. The small firey aura drew him close, his eyes not being able to tear away from the heat of the fire.
When the dwarf reached close enough, he gasped. This was nothing he had ever saw before.
The flame burned through the grass and through the trees, scorching the leaves and burning the grass to ashes. The dwarf backed up slowly as he frantically looked around the burning forest of magical trees. The dwarf yelped as the flames reached him, his feet instantly burning at the intense heat.
The dwarf started to run as he saw what seemed to be ivory paper as the dwarf looked at the paper in shock. How was his whole forest made of paper? Things seemed to be crazy.
The dwarf, as unfortunate as it was, reached a thorny wall. The thorns pierced his skin as the flames were determined to burn him alive. He let out a strangled cry for help as crimson blood was felt on his back.
The dwarf looked beyond the flames to where he saw the ivory paper when he saw pits of darkness among the ivory paper, the burn marks crisping the edges of the circles of emptiness.
Before the dwarf could think of anything, the flames engulfed him, leaving him to rot in flames.
So what does this mean? What did the dwarf experience?
Well. To answer your question, the dwarf just experienced something shocking. Something that could bring down the realm.
Something that could bring the fairytale realm to pure insanity.
The book.
It was burning.
Stephanie watched as the book in her hands started to burn. She frantically dropped the book in shock. A new gust of wind flipped through the pages as she saw the page where it started.
Illustrated was a dwarf who was walking through the enchanted forest within the fairytale realm she had created. But a huge hole was burned through the pages, its crisp burn mark roughly scraping Stephanie as she traced the hole.
She looked down at the crystal ball that she was tracking the two in wonderland with. She gasped as she saw the blonde vampire look around in shock and terror. She gave a startled gasp as she heard a voice through the windows.
"I beat you mother."
The four words sent Stephanie screaming in fury, her voice shattering windows. She whistled for the shadow knights, the trolls, the giants, she gathered them all into her chamber. Stephanie felt the small burn on her cheek from when Benny had burned her. She was inside the burning book. She was lucky that she recovered herself and the book, but she wasn't sure how her rival was able to burn the book from afar.
She was stronger than Stephanie had thought.
"We are starting the war now." Stephanie said in anger, opening the box containing the special magic. The magic shimmered down on all the shadows, giving them color and light. But they were disguised as good. They were pure evil in heart. Stephanie spun the box in her hands as she got a call from her accomplice. Gaston. She hadn't heard from him for a while. She picked up her cell and started to speak.
"Gaston. We are beginning the war. Do you have her?" The voice laughed.
"Of course." Gaston replied. "Easy as pie." Stephanie nodded.
"Bring her here. We are unleashing the magic onto the city. Tonight."
She hung up as the shadow creatures she summoned ran out the doors, ready to cause havoc to the city. Stephanie looked into the crystal ball, watching as the blonde vampire, who was alone, dash through the dark forest she had placed in there, flames chasing him, close to the heel. She cackled.
"You were wrong to try and outsmart me. No! No one outsmarts me. Especially my own daughter."
And with that, Stephanie continued to watch the blonde vampire run. He ran as fast as he could.
Rory and Della were walking peacefully on the right road, ready to get to the Queen of Heart's castle.
All of the sudden, a dark forest emerged from the ground, and the path below them shimmered yellow. Della gasped as her and Rory exchanged looks. Rory clutched onto the dagger as Della gasped.
"She is summoning something else. This is the forest from the Wizard of OZ. A crossover." Rory's eyes widened as Della started to disappear.
"Della?! Della! STOP! What is happening!" Della had a face of accomplishment and a look of terror on her face at the same time. She started to yell Rory's name.
"Rory! Rory HELP!"
And those were the last words Rory saw come out from Della's mouth as she roared in pain, sparks coming from her hands as wind whisked him away. Rory fell to his knees at the force of the wind.
Della was gone.
He was alone.
"Hello? Stephanie that was not cool!" He yelled. The dagger was still in tact as Rory started to walk alone through the forest. It was cold. Was he supposed to meet the lion here, or was he gonna meet the Mad Hatter? He didn't even know which fairytale he was in anymore, plus he was even more confused on how to escape. Rory then saw something interesting.
Fire.
"Oh my gosh..." He murmured in shock as the fire leaped on the bare branches and whisked through the trees. Rory started to run. He really wished that he still had his vampire strength. Or did he? He couldn't remember if his powers stayed or not. He just couldn't tell...
As flames engulfed the forest, Rory caught sight of the emptiness and darkness beyond the flames. He saw a hole.
"The book is burning. The fairytale realm is slowly burning." He said in shock, trying to outrun the flames.
He saw that around the flames, blue hexagons surrounded him. Rory gasped as he wiped sweat off his forehead.
It was the force field that kept him in the fairytale realm.
Rory's thoughts started to race. It was obvious the destruction and the fire triggered the showing of the force field. So maybe that meant Rory could break the force field with his dagger! Amazing. What luck.
Rory took a breath as he zoomed across the fire, the flames brushing against his skin and clothing. He roared out in pain as he continued to run towards the force field in the side of the forest. When the force field looked closer to view, Rory held out the dagger.
In almost slow motion, Rory dug the dagger deep into force field, shattering it at contact. Rory quickly hopped out of the burning part of the fairytale realm as he fearfully watched the flames shoot across him. He wiped sweat of anxiety off his forehead, panting for air.
"What a run..." He mumbled to himself. Rory looked behind him, watching how he was basically shaking. He then realized something.
He wasn't shaking.
The floor was.
Rory then realized he had activated his way back home. He was going to the same where he and his friends escaped. The paper world, he called it.
He fumbled in his pocket, praying that he would be able to find it. He hoped he still had it. And after a while, he did. He smiled as he was knocked off his feet, dagger in one hand, and the other object in the other.
A pen.
Then Rory was dizzy, his whole world spinning in front of his eyes.
From afar, Rory saw the grass turn white. A sterling, ivory white.
Paper.
He was engulfed into the familiar whiteness, his vision blurring out.
Ethan was walking home, frantically looking at his watch and feeling for vibrations from his phone.
It was already almost midnight, and Ethan couldn't find Jane anywhere. What a long date...
Suddenly, Ethan's phone began to ring. He quickly answered it.
"Hello?" He asked, hoping it was Jane. But to his disappointment, it was Evelyn.
"Ethan, come to our house. Quickly. We found something that has to do with the mysterious disappearance of Rory and Della, plus Benny's strange attitude. And it also has something to do with Jane. Ethan, come to Benny's house as fast as possible. Let nothing stop you."
Ethan's eyes glimmered a faint black as he started to run, hanging up his phone in a rush as he ran all the way to Benny's. A girl was biking across him, but he ran straight in front of her. He let nothing stop him, not even the blood running down his knee from when he fell, hitting into that young girl and the bike.
He ran across the streets, stirring traffic and anger as horns were beeped at him.
After three minutes, Ethan was barely alive, but was at the house in record time. Evelyn looked at him in shock, but didn't waste any time pulling him in.
When Ethan reached inside, he gasped.
Sarah was on the couch, talking to some small wooden puppet with a long nose. The puppet moved on its own, startling Ethan. Ethan also saw a dazed Benny and a soothing Erica.
"What is happening?" Sarah sighed, beginning to fill in what Flynn had told her.
"So it all started when we were watching Jacuzzi Time Machine. We all had fell asleep by the time. Everyone but Benny of course. He had walked upstairs to the attic and found the fairytale book. You see, he had sort of a split personality since he was affected a lot from him being Flynn. So his instinct told him to steal the crown that was conjured up in the book. He said a spell and there was the crown. What he didn't know was that at the same time, Flynn Rider - the real one- was wearing that crown as he walked in the kingdom with Rapunzel, his wife. You see, Flynn had knew something about an uprising we didn't know about. He was investigating with Rapunzel when Benny pulled the crown out of the book, taking Flynn with him. Benny had kept the crown in a secret vault in his room. Flynn turned into a spirit, and he had to possess someone in order to stay in our world. So logically, since Benny had the crown, he possessed Benny for two straight years. So Benny hasn't been himself for two years." Ethan looked at the puppet and Benny. Benny shrugged innocently.
"I am sorry. I didn't know!" He protested. Evelyn shook her head. "It wasn't. Something stayed with you when you escaped Benny. And it was that urge to be Flynn Rider." Benny nodded as Erica continued.
"That's not all. You see, when Benny passed out in the school, Flynn escaped from Benny's body. So therefore, in order to help us determine the uprising in Whitechapel AND the fairytale realm, Sarah found a Pinocchio puppet in her basement. Although it was a fake doll Flynn was possessing, all of Pinocchio's abilities were kept. So if Flynn lies, it'll show." Erica said, smirking at Flynn the puppet. He frowned.
"I hate you." He said. His nose then grew about an inch as Sarah smiled. "Thanks Flynn." He rolled his eyes.
"So now, we need to stop Stephanie from destroying Whitechapel." Ethan nodded. "Yeah. Also she possessed Hannah. She was pretty...shadowy and evil. She had a shadow in her eyes. I don't remember much of our encounter, but she sorta looked like the evil queen from Snow White." Evelyn frowned.
"Although Stephanie could conjure up shadow illusions, it is very hard to bring a different person's shadow into someone else." Ethan looked at her in confusion as Evelyn tried to explain it better.
"Everyone has a shadow. Ethan's shadow is a kind one, Erica's, more of a feisty one." Erica smiled sarcastically as she continued.
"The shadow is basically how someone is identified. So if what you said is true, the Evil Queen from Snow White's shadow is in Hannah's body. That is extremely hard to conjure up. Only someone coming from an already powerful family AND is a powerful spellmaster can do that kind of magic. In other words, an immensely powerful spellmaster could only do that." Ethan sighed.
"So Stephanie is already plotting revenge. How is she even alive?" Benny answered this one, his raspy voice piping up from the corner.
"Um, I burned the book after getting the crown. But ashes flew out and that made Stephanie. Stephanie's ashes were flown through the wind and into the sealed attic and she took form. Since the full book was burned, Stephanie used the last piece of paper from the crown page to write and conjure up a bunch of shadow illusions. There may have been some paper in our attic still, so maybe she ended up writing a whole new fairytale book. That explains why there is another fairytale book and why Della and Rory are missing." He concluded. Erica sighed as she stood up.
"I am going to take a walk by the harbor. This is too much for me right now. Benny, wanna come?" Benny shrugged. "Okay. Let's go." Benny and Erica exited the house, leaving the Pinocchio Flynn, Sarah, Ethan and Evelyn. Sarah yawned.
"Ethan, go and get me some juice please." She asked wearily. Ethan's eyes shadowed over as he stood a bit straighter, walking straight to the kitchen without saying a word. Evelyn looked at Ethan in shock as he quickly obeyed the orders Sarah unknowingly gave him. He handed Sarah the glass as Evelyn placed a hand on his forehead. She gasped, a shine illuminating off her hand as she stared at Flynn the puppet and Sarah.
"His mind. It is shadow possessed. By Ella Enchanted." Sarah gasped as Flynn started to speak.
"The fairytale where Ella is cursed with the gift of obedience?" He asked. Sarah nodded as Evelyn sighed.
"Was Hannah holding a staff or a wand? Something like that maybe?" Ethan shrugged. "It might've been a staff..." He said, unsure of himself. Evelyn groaned. "I think Stephanie, or someone even more powerful than Stephanie, conjured the staff to be able to transfer shadows to other people. Ethan, you need to be careful. If you receive an order of any kind, you will be forced to follow it." Sarah leaned in close with Ethan as she held him tight.
"Does that explain why you look like you were in a car accident?" She asked, noting the rip jeans, dry blood, and frazzled hair. Ethan shrugged.
"Well, Evelyn ordered me to come here as fast as possible, letting no one stop me. I ran into some girl on a bike, falling and scraping my knee. I also caused traffic and nearly got hit by a car." Sarah groaned as Flynn frowned.
"Sorry dude." Flynn's nose grew a bit longer and Ethan frowned. "Thanks dude." Flynn groaned. "I really hate this whole puppet thing." He said in annoyance. Evelyn sighed.
"I can try to conjure up a cure, but in the meanwhile, be wary of your actions." She warned. Ethan's mind snapped.
"Wait, you mentioned Jane when you called me. I had this weird vision off her and it had something to do with the guy she is going on a date with. Gaston? Well, she isn't home yet. Where is she?" Sarah sighed as Flynn broke the news.
"Um, Jane has been captured by Gaston. Gaston is from Beauty and the Beast. Gaston is also working with Stephanie." He rushed out. Ethan's eyes widened as he tried not to panic. He looked for signs that Flynn could be lying.
His nose never grew an inch.
Erica and Benny walked in the moonlight by the Whitechapel Harbor, the moon's rays sparkling against the gentle waves. Erica sighed.
"I am sorry Benny." Benny sighed. "No, I am. This is all my fault." Erica shook her head as the spellmaster lowered his eyes to the ground.
"It isn't your fault Benny. It is all Stephanie's fault-"
Suddenly, the waves started to flow a bit harder, wind surrounding the couple. Erica grabbed onto Benny's jacket as the two looked up to see a girl, vibrant of color. Her feet splashed on the wooden dock as the two backed up slowly.
"What are you doing..?" Benny asked at the colorful girl. The girl smiled, wrapping her blue hair around her shoulder. She said nothing as she zapped Erica in the chest. She yelped as she was blown back to the water. Benny yelled.
"ERICA!" He exclaimed in fear and shock. Benny looked at the "innocent" girl as she opened her mouth to talk. All of the sudden - to Benny's disgust - she threw up shadows and mists of dark magic. It showered her body and in her place was a shadowy looking girl, eyes pitch black. Benny groaned; it was one of those shadow creatures Stephanie had conjured up. Benny was about to talk when he saw a glimpse of a tail. He gasped, looking fearfully at the shadow girl.
Stephanie had brought the Little Mermaid to Whitechapel.
And now Erica is the mermaid.
Before Benny could say anything, the shadow witch blasted Benny in the water. His startled gasp was drowned by water, his breathing holding to a halt as the shadow witch disappeared into the darkness.
Erica on the other hand, was desperately trying to adjust to the fact she was now a mermaid, so when she saw Benny being blasted to the water, she desperately tried to save him.
She dove into the rough currents of the storm waters as she saw Benny's floating body. She picked him up with the ease of her vampire powers and she swam him to shore with the help of her new found mermaid powers.
She swam all the way to the sandy shore near the harbor, dragging Benny's body to the sand. She frantically tried to wake him up.
He was barely breathing.
