I'm back home, and I have a laptop to type on now. So I'll update more regularly, but school is starting soon, so I'll probably be very busy. On second thought I'll update when I have time to update. Anyways, on with the story.

Miss Martian was in the midst of Peter's mind, she looked around; usually there would be an open landscape of some sort, but in Peter's mind there were tall skyscrapers and city blocks. Some skyscrapers were torn down, and broken glass lay shattered along the streets. One thing stood out to her though, there was a little worn down warehouse down the street.

Miss Martian floated to it, ignoring the rank smell of gasoline and the sound of a million people talking at once. This is a part of Peter's mind, right, so this place must be of some importance to him. Miss Martian landed through a broken window. This was the last place, Miss Martian wanted to be; the warehouse was abandoned and old, there was glass on the floor, near the broken window.

There really wasn't anything there. Miss Martian explored the warehouse a bit more; then left. It wasn't until she left the warehouse that she realized how ruined the city looked. It looked like someone bulldozed the entire thing. There was a very colorful figure not very far off sitting on a building.

That must be Peter, she thought excitedly. She flew over to him and landed on the building. He turned around a second before Miss Martian even touched the ground. "Who are you?" He asked. Peter's emotions were covered by a red mask with black lines and reflective lenses, if this was Peter he wasn't acting like the poor defenseless man she saw before. If anything, he was extremely defensive, with his hands in a weird position and the mak covering his emotions.

"I ask you again, who are you?" he asked, knocking Miss Martian out of her daze.

"Oh, I'm Miss Martian." She told him, embarrassed. "You must be Peter."

He looked kind of shocked, well as shocked as you could get with while wearing a mask, then the shock kind of wore off, and he said, "How do you know my name?"

"Well, we've met before, in real life I mean. You told me your name."

"I did? Why would I do that?"

"I don't know. You tell me."

He sighed. "Tell me what you know about me." He sat down on the edge of the building, motioning for her to sit down.

"Well, at the moment, nothing, except your name. Peter Parker."

"I would clue you in, but to be honest I don't really remember much about my past. What I do remember is my parents dying when I was young, my Aunt and Uncle raising me, my Uncle… dying." He sounded like he was tearing up, but it was hard to tell. "It was my fault he died, all my fault. I should've stopped the guy, but I didn't. I was selfish. I should have stopped him. I should have stopped him."

"Woah, woah, woah, Peter. What are you talking about? You aren't making any sense." Miss Martian was really lost.

"My Uncle."

"What about you Uncle?"

"He was killed...and it was all my fault."

"So you killed your Uncle."

He did a cold-hearted chuckled. "No, but I might as well have. If you really must know what happened that night. I'll tell you. I was at a wrestling match."

"Wait, a wrestling match?" She couldn't believe the scrawny looking man she saw earlier went to a wrestling match.

"It was when I first found out about my powers. I figured I could make some money to help my family pay the bills. After all, we weren't rich."

"Powers?"

He shook his head, yes.

"What kind of powers?"

"Spider powers." He said. Indicating to the symbol shaped like a spider on his chest. "I could stick to walls, I had super strength, enhanced reflexes, balance, and agility, and a little something I like to call my spider sense."

"What's a spider sense?"

"It warns me of possible danger. Anyways, one story at a time, now where was I?"

"The part about the wrestling match."

"Oh, right. So I went to the wrestling match and won, but the announcer conned me, and didn't give me the money I deserved. So a cat burglar stole the announcer's money and I let him get away." Peter's voice turned icy cold. "He killed my Uncle, who was sitting in the car waiting for me, and the crook stole his car. The police went after him; I followed them because if anyone was going to get that man, it was going to be me. I was out for revenge. The burglar was cornered in an abandoned warehouse."

The warehouse I was at. Miss Martian thought.

"I went in after him."

"Did," Miss Martian gulped. "You kill him?"

"No, I did push him out a window, but out of honor for my Uncle I didn't kill him, because he taught me something I'll never forget 'With great power, there must also come great responsibility.' That seems to be the only thing I remember recently, everything else is clouded, like it's there, but I can't get to it."

"Sounds like your memories are blocked." She said, although she only said this to comfort him. "I'm so sorry, Peter. I'm sorry about your Uncle and your memories, but I promise I'll try my best to fix this. And I have a feeling I know who did this to you, the problem is how to find him." Of course Simon is behind this. He is the only one with enough mental power to block those memories, block them or take them away. And if he is behind this, which was highly probable, why would he do this to Peter? She thought. "Look, Peter. I trust you, and the team will help you out until you regain your memories. But since you have super powers, why not be a part of the team." And this way I can keep a closer eye on him.

"Sure, but maybe you should ask me again in my consciousness." He said pointedly.

"Oh, right." She said embarrassed. "I guess I should get out of your head, huh."

"Uh, yeah." Peter said.

Miss Martian opened up the portal to get out and left.

She blinked her eyes and they stopped glowing. Peter was still lying on the couch, but he was slowly starting to wake up. Miss Martian breathed a sigh of relief, usually when she was in people's minds they went into a comatose state. But, nope, not Peter, maybe there was more to him than meets the eye. And that's coming from someone who was in his mind.

"So, Peter, you want to join the team?" she asked when he was fully conscious.

"Uh, sure. I guess." He said.

Okay end of chapter 4. Hope you liked it. Can you tell me if it was too rushed? I felt like it was rushed, anywho leave a review telling me what you think.
