Frosted Snow entered the camp with Bracken Branch and Burned Pelt. Ice Eyes noticed the plentiful mice delivery, and dashed over to help them with carrying the prey to the prey pile. "I guess having a gifted cat leading us could bring us great prey." the black she-cat spoke, her pale blue eyes showed nothing of any worth of speaking.
Frosted Snow thanked the she-cat, who was very cold and yet very kind. She was something different than most other cats.
Violet Bush came up, taking a handful to help them carry the mice to the prey pile. Followed soon by the rest of the traveling group.
As soon as the prey was safely on the pile, they all gave a prayer of thanks to the ancients; and then divided the prey evenly. Frosted Snow snatched the largest mouse, and carried it over to Burned Pelt who was originally waiting her turn at the prey pile, when she noticed the mouse. And the two lay down to share it peacefully in the corner of the camp.
When Silverpelt appeared in the sky, all the ancients were now awake and just as Shama instructed, Burned Pelt and Frosted snow sat down in the middle of the clearing, bidding the rest of the cats' goodnight as they awaited the shine of the moon to reach them. The moon steadily climbed up the sky, slowly peeling the darkness of the camp. as they awaited the full moon to finally appear high up in the sky.
As it did, they could feel the multiple presences of the spirit cats surrounding them, but they were invisible without complete moon light.
As the moon finally arrived, the pale see through pelts of the ancients appeared. Frosted Snow could recognize most of them. Others were completely in distinguishable from the others. A white she-cat stepped forward. "Frosted Snow, Burned Pelt; my son and my mate; It is good to see you two again." She purred. Her green eyes shining through, before darkening. "You still have a job to do; Ice, Fire, Water, and Earth must start the spread. And they need a portion of your gifts to become the cats they are destined to be." She spoke solemnly.
Frosted Snow tipped his head. "We don't understand the gifts, how can we transfer without the knowledge?" he asked.
The she-cat dipped her head. "The elements are most used in their surroundings; they are at best where you could find them, except for fire, it burns in the heart." She answered.
The she-cat gave a lick on Frosted Snow's head, and a nuzzle to Burned Pelt. And she ran off into the forest, not to be seen anymore.
The moon soon disappeared behind the trees. Burned Pelt turned to Frosted Snow. "Well, that's that, let's get to bed and enjoy a good night's sleep." She purred. Frosted Snow loved her too much to argue, and followed her to their dens. As Burned Pelt laid down, she turned her gaze to him. "I do have something to tell you, I realize this after talking to Squirrel Leap, but it can wait for the morning." She purred, closing her eyes.
Frosted Snow settled beside her. "What is it?"
Burned Pelt slightly opened her eyes. "Get some sleep, you need it right now." she sleepily purred.
Frosted Snow laid down his head, and closed his eyes slowly drifting off to sleep.
